Was Goon laughing? The sound was so unusual, so strange to Bar's mindset, that the dissonance snapped Bar out of it. He remembered where he was, he remembered WHO he was. He also remembered he had all this chakra he needed a safe outlet for, before he did something irreversible. Mannequins, puppets, shuriken targets, nothing was spared as Bar completed the Sixty-Four Palms on everything nearby, as long as it wasn't a living being. Eight, sixteen! With each set, Bar pushed himself faster and faster! The final set! An innocent mannequin was completely demolished as Bar rushed forward, thirty-two strikes that essentially recapped all the strikes from before!
Bar ended his spree standing over Goon. Almost apologetically, wiping tears of shame from his eyes, Bar said, "I am not my father. Heal him please, Master Haru. He fought well, better than I expected, and even as he was defeated, he spat defiance in my face. Right now, he is more of a shinobi than I. Excuse me. I need a moment." Bar went through a nearby door, which revealed itself to be a bathroom, and locked it.

Haru watched Bar flip his shit, first knocking out Goon with gentle fist, then switching targets to a mannequin and a bunch of other inanimate objects. He really wanted to hit all 64 points… It was a good thing he had not finished the technique on Goon, that much chakra being blocked in someone with an undeveloped chakra system, or even a fully developed one, for that matter, was likely to kill you. As Bar excused himself to the bathroom, Haru knelt down beside Goon, his palms glowing in a dull green as he activated the mystical palm technique. He passed his hand over the blocked chakra points, healing the boy’s injuries and rendering him good as new, though pride wasn’t something he could heal, and he wasn’t sure how the boy would react to this defeat.
The boy would likely wake up soon, and when he did, Haru would speak.
”You okay, kid? He kinda lost it back there, I think he went a little overboard.”

(Oops, forgot it was my turn, sorry.)
Bar dried his tears, and washed his face. A final shuddering sigh. "I am NOT my father. I have a problem. I need to fix this. Alright. Going on the offense seems to trigger rage fugues. Fine. I will focus on defense. The key is not to feel so defenseless that I trigger a FEAR fugue. Yang is balanced by Yin. Now, go apologize." Bar activated his Byakugan briefly, ensured that Goon was being tended to by Haru, released the dojutsu, unlocked the door, and left the bathroom, to kneel beside Goon, close enough for him to punch Bar in the nose, if Goon felt like it.

A bright white flash was the first thing Goon saw when he awoke. Goon thought he was dead for a moment, until the light faded away, and he saw a familiar face. Before he could say anything, Haru spoke. "Shit, I'm good, a little pain here and there but that's going away and I could actually move again, making it better." He said as he began to move his limbs around. "Is there a good way to defend against the 64 palms? And, where did Bar" moment As he'd say it Bar would come out of the bathroom and kneel besides. There you are, I heard you lost your shit a little bit. Don't worry it happens, did you at least get the technique down?" Goon said with a smile on his face.

Bar kow-towed to Goon. "I formally apologize for losing my shit. I wish to atone. Please feel free to beat me, find a weakness in my defense, and exploit it. I will not retaliate. I will focus only on defense, until I have learned to control myself. I thank you for your mercy." Upon Goon's acceptance, Bar will sit back up, adjust his angle, and kowtow to Master Haru.
"I lost control. I believe this is due to my naturally aggressive nature. I wish to atone. Please, punish me as you see fit. But if I may make a suggestion, my Yang needs to be balanced by Yin. Please, teach me the Revolving Heaven."

Haru watched Bar make his apology. Asking Goon to attack him in order to “Attone” In addition to that, Goon asked him a way to defend against the sixty four palms.
”Just a moment, Bar. I think I have a perfect solution. Bar, you listen too.” He told Bar, turning towards Goon. ”This is a technique for countering fast blows like the gentle fist. It’s called the Intersection Method.” He told the boy, raising his right leg and lowering his right elbow quickly, snapping them down on each other, holding his left arm in between them to demonstrate how it would work. It was a good thing he had good balance, as he was currently holding his arm between his elbow and leg, standing on one foot.
”The idea is to snap your arm and leg together around your opponent’s limb as they strike you, sort of like a mouse trap. If preformed correctly, you can actually shatter bone. Hell, if you’re strong enough, I imagine you can pinch someone’s arm clean off.” He explained to the boy, lowering his arms and legs. ”Practice it a few times with me, then you can try it with Bar in a bit.” He would say, taking up a loose fighting stance. ”I’m gonna throw a few quick punches at you. Nothing crazy, but they’ll be fast. You have to be quick to stop them.” He would warn the boy, giving him a moment to prepare. He would then quickly strike with his right hand, aimed at Goon’s face. He would repeat this motion with his left hand, right leg, and left leg, aimed at his gut, chest, and neck, respectively.
(The speed of the punches/kicks is 70)
If Goon managed to catch each blow with the intersection method, he would loosen his stance after completing that assault, nodding in approval.
”Good. Practice the motion a little more. I’m going to go help Bar for a moment.” He would say, turning and walking towards the other boy.
”This… is a bit more complex then your other technqiues. Normally, you concentrate your chakra out of a single tenketsu. With this technique, you need to release it from every single one in your body, like so.” He explained, beginning to rotate slowly, so Bar could follow him. He would gradually pick up speed, releasing chakra from his tenketsu, before finally forming a perfect shell of chakra, knocking back a few dummies laying on the ground.
”Like that. You try.” He would say simply.

Bar was grateful that Haru didn't beat or spank him, but watching Haru teach Goon the Intersection Method was almost as bad. If Bar wanted to prevent having his limbs pinched off, he needed a ranged jutsu, like the Vacuum Palm, or Chakra Strings. Unless... As Bar started releasing chakra from the bottom of his feet, his right foot up on his heel, and his left foot on the tips, like the first time Tony Stark tried to fly, and working his way upwards, he gradually started to spin clockwise. "Master, my elbows and knees lack the callouses and pain tolerance to deliver the Intersection Method. Is it acceptable to substitute a burst of tenketsu chakra instead?"
(Someone brought this up to me: In order to learn a B-rank jutsu like Intersection Method, Goon would need 30 Str and 15 Speed. He's got the Speed, ((He's faster than me now! WTF?!)) but he needs a tad more WC in our Gym thread to make the Str requirement, unless he leaves both the Gym thread and this thread, and came back. Goon, your WC=1048 for this thread. Same goes for me, I need 10 more Chakra to learn B-rank: Heavenly Rotation, but I got that if I leave the Gym thread right now.)

Bar was finding this technique a tad more difficult than the Sixty-Four Palms. Hitting targets of opportunity wasn't all that hard, you just had to be able to exploit an opening when they happened. However, keeping his balance while rotating and releasing chakra from all three-hundred-and-sixty-one tenketsu at once was a bit of multi-tasking he was wholly unfamiliar with. Starting at his feet, he'd progress upwards, but by the time he got to his hips, he'd forgotten about his feet, and well, that's not good when you're trying to float on them. Bar fell down more than a few times. Frustrated, Bar discarded the spinning problem, and decided he'd work on how to make his tenketsu do what he wanted it to do.
Bar sat down on the floor, closed his eyes, adopted Shikamaru Nara's thinking position, and concentrated solely on the problem of releasing chakra from all his tenketsu at once. Without the distraction of rotating, Bar began releasing his chakra, starting from his feet, and worked his way upwards, as before. This worked a bit better, but continually releasing chakra while he put neglected tenketsu to use was very taxing.
Bar realized his problem was that despite knowing exactly where the tenketsu was, getting it to do an unfamiliar task was like training a new bagger not to drop the eggs, while other baggers kept shoving him out of the way. More than once, instead of releasing chakra from his hips, Bar released foul gases.
Bar stopped, and mentally divided up his body into a stack of rings, and concentrated on releasing tenketsu from each ring in turn. This worked much better, because instead of the lower chakras interfering with the higher ones, Bar could concentrate on making each ring do their tasks correctly. Once Bar could "pulse" any given ring to release chakra, Bar concentrated on pulsing the rings in series.
Once Bar had succeeded in making his tenketsu pulse from bottom to top, Bar worked on executing the series faster and faster, until his mind adjusted to the process, and Bar was able to pulse his whole body's tenketsu, all at once. Some clusters of tenketsu required less power than the others, due to overlapping, while other portions of his body required more, due to the tenketsu being farther apart from the others. Tweaking the power of each tenketsu to achieve a perfect sphere shape, even if was only at one or more angles, Bar figured would be revealed after the second problem was solved. It was time to work on the second problem.
Bar started a quick spin... Hrm, still wobbly. It turned out that releasing chakra from his hands helped for steering and balance much more than he expected. Also, he was facing the wrong way. This usually wasn't a problem for the Byakugan, but in terms of melee combat, it was not ideal. Bar figured out that certain durations would allow him to go back to facing his original position. Eventually, he settled on a wide stance, a small hop that aligned the bottom of his feet to point in different directions, his palms down to gain height and maintain stability, executed the quick spin he wanted to do, then putting his feet back onto the ground. With that settled, it was time to put the two partial solutions together.
Bar started with a wide Gentle Fist stance, and did that small hop that aligned the bottom of his feet, flipped his palms down, then pulsed! A rapid spin... Hrm, it seems he only managed to form a spinning top shape, not the perfect sphere. Bar knew that a favorite tactic of Earth Nature users loved coming from underneath him, while an aerial attack also required paying attention from above, so it had to be a perfect, evenly-distributed sphere. Bar did figure out that extra rotations helped with density, due to overlapping layers of chakra. Bar experimented with slight changes in arm and leg positions that would have each limb covering a different quadrant, yet wouldn't interfere with his spinning, and he fell down some more before he figured out a good stance. Bar tweaked the power of certain rings of tenketsu, so that strong areas, such as his belly and head, would get no more chakra than the angles between his hands and legs. The chakra had to be evenly distributed, or inevitably, someone would hit that weak spot. It was much like painting a landscape using only one color, without lifting your brush from the easel, yet expected to form a perfectly flat surface when you were done. Oh, well. Nobody said that perfect defenses would be easy, or everyone could do it. Briefly, Bar wished that he could practice this technique underwater, much like Hinata did.
Bar thought that he finally had a good working knowledge of the Revolving Heaven, but defense was only half the equation. Bar experimented with attacking right out of the Revolving Heaven, but knocking someone away and then closing into melee seemed inefficient. Bar considered some way he could knock someone up, but the angle and position wasn't ideal. Perhaps knocking them into the dirt? Could the Revolving Heaven be adapted into an aerial move? Bar muttered to himself, "This would be easier if I had the Shadow Clone..."
Bar figured he might as well try it while he had access to a Medic. Laying a dummy face-up on the ground, Bar tried various jump angles, including dropping on it from above, to turn the Revolving Heaven into something like the Akimichi's Human Bullet Tank. At first it was difficult to rotate sideways, until by accident he turned it into a midair-cartwheel, with each of his limbs spread at ninety-degree angles, and discovered that it worked quite well. Of course, then Bar tried to work backwards, and try to do the original Revolving Heaven as a spinning horizontal cartwheel. He face-planted a few times, and one time even asked for a turtle costume, but eventually he figured out that face-down was best, so he could lower his feet once he lost centrifugal momentum. It turned out his earlier thought of dividing the sphere into quadrants was a good one, except for one small detail. Bar noticed that rotating in just one direction granted it an inherent weakness along the lines of the rotation, as well as directly above and below, at the 'eyes of the storm'. It would be best to randomize the lines, but how best to do that with only four limbs? Was wobbling the answer, or rapid changes in direction? Bar decided that the best way to cover up those weak points was either with a static shield, by moving, or both. With that decided, Bar took off his Forehead protector, and strapped it to the top of his head, as that was a much more important target than the spot between his feet. Of course, he'd have to get a groin protector later. Bar experimented with various Heavenly Rotation flips, sideways cartwheels, and other ways to throw off an attack, rather than just the standard horizontal rotation. The battlefield was much too chaotic a place to think that old, predictable, tradition held much sway. Bar tried to do a rapid ninety-degree change in direction in the middle of a rotation, but he only tried it once. The wrenching of his body that way almost tore him in half, as well as nearly making him black out from the rapid G-shift.
When done that way, it made him remember a certain trademark jutsu... And then promptly discarded the whole idea as ridiculous. Regardless of any physical resemblance to the Rasengan, the tactical contortions necessary to pull off a Shadow Clone performing a Heavenly Rotation, deliberately shrinking the radius to a single point, thereby destroying the Clone, whereby another Clone or the original would step in, take the dense, stable, rotating chakra and turn it into a Rasengan, would be inferior to dashing forward and performing another Gentle Fist technique, even if it was another Heavenly Rotation. It would, however, be an incredibly flashy and showboat of a move. Bar mentally filed away that combination under, "Impressing a Date."
Bar went back to attacking right out of the various Heavenly Rotations he came up with, then doing another Heavenly Rotation or two, then randomly attacking again when his Byakugan revealed a possible opening, even if he had to collide the technique into them to do it, by skidding his chakra against the floor.
There were some false starts, a few cases of "two steps forwards and one step back," but finally, Bar felt like he had learned the Heavenly Rotation. Bar faced Goon, and announced. "Come at me, bro... If you dare. Be aware that any given strike towards your tenketsu can immediately turn into the Heavenly Rotation, and if you get knocked, I'm going to exploit the opening that it creates. I don't think you'll be catching my limbs today."
(WC= 1846 since last count. Claiming Revolving Heaven for now. I'll claim the stats for the total 4063 WC upon exit.)
