Tundras suck forever.[Travel Echo, Maku and Youka]
Mon Jun 02, 2014 4:45 pm
Finally clear of the snowy climate Echo lets out a small sigh of relief, the slightly warmer climates of the forest being much more familiar territory to the Sage of the Jagged Wolf Canyons. He just yesterday caught and made a meal out of a white tundra rabbit, it was a bit dry but it filled his belly and his water ration has held up the long journey across the large expanse of snow..and old train tracks..
Maybe he should try for a rail system..? Theirs gotta be some old blue-prints lying around in Yukigakure somewhere..
Food for thought, crossing through he begins walking his path through the forest, looking forward to the fire holding out for longer and some herbs and vegetables to be added to his hunt..Maybe a stew..
Taki's surrounding Eco-system is expansive enough, he can indulge in larger game and a bit more extravagance..

A rift would begin to open slightly behind the Jinchuriki of the Nine Tails, pouring out a mist that had both a non-threatening aura and a sensation of peace and question, clouding the vision of the world around him and those that would be in his company. The mist seemed to stretch for what appeared to be miles to him but in reality it had only encased his form. Through the strange mist the shinobi would hear the clattering of weapons and the soft clopping of sandals as a cloaked figured stepped in front of him. This strange figured glanced upon Echo slowly taking in not only his essence, but seemingly looking into the soul of the man in front of him before reaching back and grabbing a strange weapon," Child of the Wind...For centuries i have been searching for one to take the role of becoming the master of something...powerful. Through this power many men have become corrupt and fell to the power, but you," a soft wheeze came from his mouth as the weapon floated forward," This wind has chosen you out of the many strands of life upon this land to not only use it, but to protect," the weapon would now be floating in front of the man as the cloaked figured floated backwards into the rift disappearing, leaving the man in the same area he once stood.

Echo pauses his step hitching as he slowly turns around to face the rift, the blackness giving way to a mist that soothes the Jinchuuriki's first instinctive reaction..Still tense he raises an eyebrow watching the figure warily as the being stares deep and hard...Echo does not flinch under the soul penetrating gaze. His words give Echo reason to raise an eyebrow in curiosity, his gaze hardening behind his goggles slightly as the weapon floats towards him...
He pauses before slowly grasping the weapon by the center grip between the two large blades...
Echo reappears as the man vanishes blinking and glancing around himself before looking downwards towards the weapon, understanding dawning on the man for a moment as if the weapon just spoke to him...
Echo's unblinking gaze stares down towards the weapon before he clips it to his lower back sideways..and turns to continue walking now deep in thought...
Who the hell was that..?

Youka honestly didn't need food as often as the normal person did and sometimes he didn't eat at all. He preferred to allow his body to go on without it for as long as it could to see just how long he could. He followed Echo and Maku, he always took the rear position as it gave him the best chance of reacting to an attack and he knew that if the back line was attacked he could take the damage with relative ease, protecting his boss and best friend all in one go.
They had cleared the snowy area which was a godsend and Youka used both his hands to lower his hood draped over his red curls. He also shifted his demons mask to the side of his face breathing in the fresh air unfiltered for once. They would reach their destination soon, hopefully there would be bodies for him. He had ideas for more operations he could perform. For the most part they all didn't speak just merely followed Echo's hand signs and gestures to go a certain way.
From what he could tell they were headed to Taki, which was the village they were supposed to have gone to a long time ago, he heard it got attacked and hoped their were still people left to fight. It was at this moment that another presence was felt but not one of danger merely just a passing presence that was neither here nor there. Youka could tell that it meant no harm. It appeared only to Echo and what words were spoken were not heard by Youka, he merely just vanished, where he vanished a weapon now lie and Echo strapped it to himself and continued on...Well that..was..interesting?

Maku was traveling inbetween Echo and Youka. For the most parts he was day dreaming, and eating a rabbit. He had successfully caught it using genjutsu to trap it and snag it. Cooking it had been an adventure, and well he had lost his tent, so it looked like he would be seeing more of the night sky lately. As they walked the interaction between the man and Echo, went mostly unnoticed by Maku. He was to busy trying to tear the meat off the charcoal that had once been a living soul. He did see the scythe and Echo strap it on his back and it caused him to be sort of jealous. Why didn't random people ever pop in and give him super cool stuff. O well, he would have to work at being super cool all by himself.
Continuing on, he re-entered his own home land. This would be an intresting change of scenery. How was the village he had grown up in. It occured to him, that he probably had never told Echo he was originally form here. This could be a problem. Pulling his cloak up over his chin, he cotinuted to walk. O well, probably just have to worry about it late.
