So, Kozata now knew from talking with Vigil that he needed to learn one more technique... the transformation technique, henge no jutsu. It seemed somewhat harder than the other jutsu he had learned, the clone jutsu, or bunshin no jutsu. Kozata liked creating external forms of chakra, but using chakra to change his appearance seemed a bit... difficult. Well, when he had a problem with jutsu, he went to where he always went with such problems... the library. He entered the library, the peaceful air of musty books and silence washed over him as he passed into the section that he needed to be in.
He selected a book on basic jutsu, and flipped through the pages, feeling bored. That is, until he found the article on the transformation jutsu. Huh... it seemed that this damn thing was pretty useful. Well, he would have to read over it first, then go practice it. Yes, he would do that now. He perused the whole article, then nodded, putting the book back. The tome had told him of the intricacies of this jutsu, and he had no intention of backing down from this challenge now. He would see it through, and learn this jutsu.
He walked out, and went back to the alleyway where he had found the cat. It wasn't there today, although all the other days he had gone there, it was. Well, speaking of cats... perhaps he had better choose that form for his first try. It would be fun! Kozata remembered the three handseals of the jutsu, dog, boar, and ram, and made them carefully while channeling his chakra. However, he was distracted by the clattering of food carts in road outside, so he fumbled and didn't perform the jutsu. Huh... it looks like he would have to move to somewhere more quiet.
In the end, he went back to the library. As he walked back in, the librarian at the desk gave him a look like she had seen him there too much. Indeed, he had probably spent a bit too much time there. Yeah, in the past few days, he had come there to learn several different jutsu, but this different. He was actually going to practice here. Hopefully, he thought, as he passed into the edifice itself, heading down and into the basement. From there, he would go to a dark corner, where there was an old, discarded mirror. He attempted to do the jutsu again, and got mixed results. Either the transformation didn't work each time, or it was only partial. He ended up with just the ears several times, which, although making him look super kawaii, made him a little annoyed. He shook his head, ending any wacky transformation he had on at that moment, and focused, channeling his chakra bit by bit. He felt the energy as it washed over him, and smiled. Ah... he had done it. This time, he had gotten it right. He turned to the mirror, and saw exactly that.
"Meow." It was a cat. Well then, he thought, as he undid the transformation, it was good that he had come here. He needed a safe haven to focus. Then, he heard someone coming down the stairs.
"I know you're down there..." it was the voice of the librarian. "No minors allowed in the basement! There are forbidden materials here." Quick! He had to hide! Or... using his jutsu, he turned into a book. The librarian passed right by him, shaking her head and muttering to herself. Awesome! As soon as it was convenient, Kozata snuck himself out.
