Ransurotto's Genin Exam

Ransurotto rushes towards the academy in hopes to take the exam. He had finally finished the two mandatory jutsu's he had to learn and now he could move up and actually learn some of the cool things he heard about becoming a genin. although the thought of danger scared him he would happily take on any challenge to come his way.

He knocked on the door of the classroom that was suppose to be hosting the exams and clears his throat.

"Hello? Is anyone in here?" He opens the door to the classroom and looks around for someone to proctor his exam.

Another day found Akihana at the academy proctoring yet another genin exam. The blonde however no longer saw it as a chore but an inevitable part of being a shinobi of Kumo. Nurturing young minds had always been her thing and today was no different as the kunoichi sat on the plain desk, surveying the stack of exam papers and fresh genin headbands. The knock on the door made her look up with a kind smile at the young man.

"Come on in," she called out politely. "You're just in time. Please take a seat and then name two of the basic jutsu you have learned. You may demonstrate them both if you so wish."

Ransurotto nods at the teacher and takes a deep breath. He nods at you as he rubs his disgustingly clammy hands together. He was nervous. Holy fuck was he nervous. He had take a more important test and he never thought it would be to decide his entire future. He felt a few drips of sweat drop down his back as he started the proctor in the face. Ransurotto’s mind flies away from the thought at hand and lands on a memory he long forgot. A memory he through he lost.

The vision of him holding both his parent’s hands as he walks down a street he doesn’t remember being in. He looks around the street as people wave to his parents and to him. He giggles and nods at the person before getting tossed to the sky. The sun blinds him and he is right back in the room in front of the proctor.

He clears his throat. “Ill be preforming the Transformation technique and the transformation technique. Ill start with the cloning.”

It was the one he was the least comfortable with and if he could knock that one out then he could pass this test no worry. Right now he was worry. He needed to wave the hand signs, get some chakra moving and get the image of a kunai in his head. It was a process he was newly familiar with and refused to fuck up.

Ransurotto thought for a moment. He wondered what the hand signs he was going to use were. He inhaled deeply and then exhaled slowly. Dog → Boar → Ram. He quickly weaved the hand signs and channeled the chakra the best he could while he imagined the essence of a steel forged kunai. He imaged the sweat the blacksmith wiped from head as he slowly he poured the molten steel into the mold for the kunai. He imagined him hammering away at the chipped bits and using a whetstone to sharpen it into perfect. He imagined it being sold to Coco and her getting over excited over such a trivial think. Suddenly, he went poof and as the smoke slowly dissolved away it revealed a perfect kunai in Ransurotto’s place. He kept it for ten seconds before transforming back.

As the smoke dissolved again, Ransurotto stood proudly in his cardigan sweater all a mess. He blushes softly when he realized he was a mess and cleared his throat as he quickly straightens out his clothing. “So next Ill be preforming the cloning Technique. I will attempt to make a perfect copy of myself.”

Ransurotto takes another deep breath and thinks to himself. Ram → Snake → Tiger. Ram → Snake → Tiger. Ram → Snake → Tiger. The sweat was dripping down his back and to his butt crack as he could just remember the hand signs. He gulped and began to panic. He shakes his head and looks back over to the teacher.

“Ill be back. I just have to get a drink of water.” He rushes out of the room and heads to the bathroom. He splashes his face with the water as he stares deeply into the mirror. He watches the mess unfold before his eyes. The man in front of him is sweating vigorously. He has perspiration covering head to toe. This man wipes the sweat from his brow and realizes he is shaking. He takes a step back and a deep breath. He shakes his hands and hops on his toes. He takes one….two…three deep breaths and flushes his face with water once more before walking back out to the genin exam room.

“Im sorry about that. Its just a lot of nerves. Imma start over.”

Ransurotto starts with the transformation again. This time he feels a bit calmer since he just did it. He has mastered the technique. All he has to do it weave the hand signs, imagine the essence of a kunai and POOF! There lays Ransurotto the Kunai. He cancels the jutsu and there he stands the panicking nineteen year old that he is. He weaves the next group of hand signs and looks over to you. He takes a deep breath and imagines another version of him. His ruffle hair and seemly always messy cardigan. His pants and shoes. Suddenly a cloak of smoke appears and dissolves to reveal another Ransurotto staring at you and smiling. He smiles at you so they look like twins or maybe like this an elaborate mirror prank but no! It’s a clone.

Poof! The cloen disappears and he looks directly at you. He squirms nervously and stares at you. “So….that was the transformation and clone techniques…..”

The young man's nerves were not lost on her, not only apparent in his mannerisms but the way he kept fumbling up his words and techniques. Akihana would have told him to take a break herself had he not excused himself for a quick dash outside. However, his techniques were passable and Akihana was never one to make someone feel bad about their shortcomings. So instead of berating him, the blonde merely smiled.

"You passed," she proclaimed, reaching for a fresh kumo headband to hand to him. "You're now a  genin of Kumogakure, however do try to be more confident. You now have a lot more responsibility to uphold." With those parting words, the blonde left the room, wishing him good luck in his future.

Ransurotto stood there in complete disbelief as you left the room. He glanced down to his new Kumo Head band and started to cry a bit. Well just a few tears, but what did you expect of the lonely man. He finally got to do something he would only dream about his entire life. Ransurotto. He slowly tighted the head band around his arm and smiled proudly as he wiped away the tears. Now if only he had someone to celebrate this with. He walked out of the exam room and stopped mid track. He looked around the street hoping to see her right there and then but fails to do so. He chuckles to himself as he this it was obviously a long shot. He had to try though. He had to see the person who helped him pass. He looked around the town with his new head band proudly displayed on his arm. He walked over to a weapons booth and started to ask questions.

"Umm...I know this might be a long shot but is there a woman named Coco who likes to shop here? Im looking for her. I got something to tell her and its kinda important."
