assisting the academy
Hisano started bright and early... Waking up well before three in the afternoon, bright eyed and bushy tailed. Perhaps bright eyed and bushy tailed wasn't exactly the words to describe the girl. She slowly rolled out of her bed, hitting the ground fairly hard, eliciting a groan from her sleepy form. "F..Ugh." The preparation process dragged on for over an hour. She wiped the sleep from her eyes, stepping into the shower to allow the water to wash over her until it began to shift to a frigid awakening temperature. Her hair was brushed meticulously, and her armor zipped and her cloak thrown over her back to clasp at her neck.
"I cannot believe... I'm actually up this early. I don't even know what to... Ugh. " She left the house, locking the door behind her and heading down the long bustling streets. SHe hated every one of these people. So bright and cheery.... It reminded her of how comfortable her bed was... And how not where she was it was. Finally she arived at the Academy, looking it up and down.
"ALright. So it definitely needs a coat of paint.... The roof might need some repairs, This fence.... Ugh. Now i just wait for Amaya. " In her head she debated all of the ways in which she could put off this work. It was definitely the teacher's job to give her students the dificult jobs, pushing them to work harder and teach them responsibility. Yes. That would work. Maybe she would over see the repairs, yano... Make sure that everything was done up to standard instead of working along side the girl. The plan was brilliant.... And probably the reason why she wasn't anbu yet.
"Damn it. " No. They would work together. Heading inside turned the corner down the first hall, grabbing a few cans of paint and walking them out to the front of the building. This was going to be a long day.

Amaya stretched and yawned as she got out of bed. Scratching her head, she wondered where her clothes had gotten off to. She could have sworn she had left them on her chair, but now.. oh they had crumpled on the back. Her face had a look of slight disapointment at her crinkled clothes, and she threw them over her shoulder, making her way into her kitchen where food waited for her. Her breakfast was a simple combination of eggs and toast, and after cleaning herself up, she threw on her black tanktop, and her long black pants. Next was her gloves, her new genin emblem shining in prisitne condition of the back of her hand, then she threw on her coat. Taking a few moments to brush, then tie her hair up in a ponytail, she left the house. Apparently her first mission was to assist in the repair of a class building or something, She had sort of skimmed Hisano's message. All she knew is she had gotten up a little earlier then she would have liked.
speaking of Hisano, the woman was carrying paint to the side of a building, appearing just in view of the girl. Amaya smiled and waved at the woman, attempting to get her attention. "Seeensseeeei!"
Running over, she picked up another paint can and followed her mentor. "So, are we just painting it? or does it need structure repair too?"
Amaya had owned her own place for just a little while, and knew a suprising amount about home repair, likely more then a lot of girls in the village probably did. If she hadn't picked something on the lower end, she probably would have a less structurally unstable house. The least she could do was make sure the kids in this classroom had a roof over their heads.

"Amaya! finally you're here. I've been waiting for hours. you really must start your day earlier if you're going to keep up on your training and responsibilities. " And I will never tell you I just woke up also. She finished the statement in her mind. Bless the girl's heart. She also took a brush, painting the door in long soft strokes a deep green color. There was of course a list of what materials were to be used for the upgrade. She disregaurded it. They wanted the door to be a boring grey. Ugh. Bless Navi's heart. Excelent leader but no sense of style. This was of course the perfect time to step in.
"No. Just painting. Thakfully the structural integrity seems efficient. Just needs a bit of freshening....Um.. Up. Oh. " As she was speaking her brush went over what seemed like a knot in the wood, pushing through with little to no force. Perhapse she would need to rethink this. "Actually.... Go ahead down the hall and grab a bit of that wood. We might need to um.... No wait. " From beneath her armor small sheets of paper flowed, quickly filling into the opening and then covering over it. "Yes. Perfect. That's much better. " She continued to paint, her eyes glancing left and right. Every few minutes she'd allow her paper style to flow, covering up holes and cracks in the building.
"See kid. This building isn't quite as bad as they made it out to be. Just a few minor additions and of course a coat of paint and everything will be perfect. Next up if you'll paint that fence I'll take care of the roofing, and that should be enough to call it a day. " THis was going exceptionally well. They'd be done and ready to train before dinner at this rate.

She felt a little bad to have kept her sensei waiting, but at least it was time to get to work. Painting wasn't a super hard task, though she wasn't so sure about Hisano covering certain structural flaws in paper. She went ahead and assumed her sensei knew what she was doing, and grabbed a brush of her own. "I sort of assumed we would have ended up you know.. sneaking around somewhere like ninja. Painting a house is a little easier then that, but not exactly what I heard missions were like in class."
Truth be told though, she thought as her paintbrush hit the fence, making it a pale white, the people telling her about the really cool missions were all classmates who had never actually been on a mission. Likely was ninety percent assumption on their part, which was definetly a poor way of doing things. She was sort of bored of painting in a straight line, so she switched it up a bit, making a star pattern first, then crossing it out, and finishing that up by circling it then filling in the circle. She sort of wondered why the Hokage, who must be much faster, doesn't paint his own fences. In fact, a team of water style ninja could likely just use a jutsu to get the paint exactly where it needed to be without a problem, no need for a brush or anything. Sighing, she started making cubes now, and writing her name within the cube before filling it in. This work wasnt hard, and she figured she wasn't simply high enough rank for any real mission, but it was simply monotonous. Paint this plank, then this one, then on to the next. it went on and on for a while, filling Amayas thoughts with multiple coats of white paint, and whether or not water style would affect it, or if you would have to creat some sort of weird, paint style. She couldn't imagine it would be a useful combat skill, but it would sure get tbis fence painted real quick. Maybe some paint style bombs, or a paint style wave. Though now that she thought of it, would the colors all mix and match, or would it be up to the users preference? Assuming such a thing was even possible of course. She hummed a small song as she was about halfway done with the fence, getting closer to her goal. The roof shouldn't be that hard now that she knew how to stick to buildings, so this was the only really hard task to get done, though the word "hard" was being used very loosely. Sighing, and dropping her paint brush in the can, she admired her work from a bit away. It was a very prisitine, very new looking fence courtesy of one Amaya Retsuno. Inwardly giving herself a pat on the back, she turned to see what Hisano was doing. "I'm all finished with this fence Sensei!"

With a great leap she jumped up to the roof.... Well. Sorta. No. Actually it wouldn't do the girl justice to suggest it would take her one leap. Hisano pushed off of the solid earth, numping up to catch onto the top of the door frame, pulling herself upwards. with a kick of her feet against the wall she hopped another three feet, catching onto a bit of ledging just below the edge of the roof itself and a third would allow her to skillfully scale the front of the building. It brought her back. How long ago had it been since she'd practiced her free running? Since the day... She left.
Now up on the roof she had a few things to consider. She could jump back down and gather materials... or she could go for the quick fix. Clearly she would be going for the latter. Once more she'd alow paper to flow from her body, setting itself onto roof to fill in the holes, patching in long layers. "Perfect! Alright I'm alre ACK" Her first step put her through the roof, falling down to the floor below. Clearly this wouldn't be one of the easy fixes. She gathered herself, taking the building materials and latching them by a chain to her hip and once more scaling the building. With hammer and nail she put down the new slats, laying roofing tiles in an overlapping patern meticulously. Her hope of an easy quick bit of ryo was dashed but she still felt good about her work. Hopping down she'd check into her studen's work, watching each brush stroke. This would have been significantly simpler if she'd had some sort of jutsu to help her in the task. It reminded her of the young nara girl, always calling out to the shadows behind her, whether it be for protection or just fun. She envied her. She'd hidden within the lands of the nara for so long... Dreaming what it would be like to be part of a normal clan, A clan with roots in her home. it wasn't her place, but it felt right.
"IF you're almost done Kid I've got a refreshment and then we can get started with the rest of the day. " She popped two more bottles of the strange but delicious liquid, waiting for the girl to take hers before heading back to the village. Job well done.

Hisano smiled happily, grinning at the fact that her and her sensei had gotten done at relatively the same time. She couldn't believe her first mission was already over, even if it wasnt that hard and had turned out go be a little monotonous. She had achieved something here with her sensei she could be proud of, and it brought a smile to her face. She took the refreshment that was offered to her, and took a few small sips. It was pretty good, like the drink Hisano had yesterday. The girl was like a walking juice market. Clearing those thoughts, she looked over the work they had accomplished. The door had a fresh coat, and the nicks and scratches around had been removed thanks to that helpful paper jutsu. Amaya assumed the roof was done, not expecting a jonin to mess up a simple task like that, and it looked better from here, so the Jonin must have done a good job. The fence Amaya had done looked almost new, and that made the girl proud of her work. With her first mission done, she was that much closer to getting the strength she wanted. "Alright, on to the next task of the day!"
