(i asked akihana, and yes i can breathe, yes i won't be heard because i'm underground, and yes you can't send your chakra into the ground for a sensory. She said that was her opinion of things, but feel free to ask the other mods. Also dude, you really should unclaim Bakuton if you're not going to use it, because i know somebody who wanted to make an alt and use bakuton.)

James was chilling underneath the earth, seeing as how nobody disturb him or bothered to stop him from going under, or reply really to his questions. He had seen Kuro bloody his hand so he was really wondering what he was up to there, but he really didn't want to get hurt. It seemed like Kuro was trying something. And Kuro doing something, meant somebody was about to get hurt.
He decides to go ahad and pop out, not bothering to mess with Shi, as he wanted to see why Kuro had made himself bleed.
He digs out of the ground, five meters away from both Shi and Kuro and said, "Kuro, why didn't you answer my question, and Shi, what's up with your legs dude?"
He stecthes and sighs and says, "Oh, also, Kuro what are you planning to do with that blood you got from your scrape? I mean, I've learned that around you, in a spar, somebody is definitely getting hurt, either by you, or by their own silly mistakes."
He then pops his knuckles, and sits on the ground.  He was really tired from doing all the jutsu training he has been doing today, and never realized how much work it took to actually train in jutsu. He grins and says, "I'm absolutely exhausted. I never knew that training this hard for jutsu would be so good. It's a good feeling, knowing that I'm practicing and that my practicing is not only paying off in improving my body, but also improving my knowledge. I'm glad kuro that you let me practice on you, else i might have never actually tried."

Kuro looked back at James and paused his marking. "Oh, right, well the reason about the elements thing is kind of logic based. The reason earth jutsus beat water is because earth is heavier and tougher and doesn't get pushed around by waves easy. The reason I hate electricity is because my body is made of water. I conduct electricity REALLY well. Ever just had a little shock from static? Imagine that tiny shock coursing through your whole body at once without getting weaker." Kuro shudders and focuses back on the seal he's making. "As for this... well it's gonna be awesome, I'm just not a hundred percent sure what the results gonna be. Never made one this big before." Kuro finished up the seal then stood in the center and put his palm to the ground as he poured in chakra. "Three, two, one, GO!" Kuro's body gave one convulsion as he poured in an enormous amount of chakra, draining him heavily. An enormous cloud of smoke erupted as a 60 foot tall hydra was summoned, Kuro on it's back. The giant scaled creature looked around at it's surroundings before noticing the two small Genin in front of it. 
"Oh hello humans! My name is Garroth! What's your names?"
The hydra lowered his head down to their level and smiled at them, waiting for them to speak.

James looks at the thing that Kuro just made, and was scared. He shakes his head, and says to Kuro, "Wow, that's super cool, mate."
He looks at the thing and says, "Hi, I'ma James."
He glances back at Kuro and says, "Not that question mate. I asked if you would teach me water, I feel as if it might help me in combination with my earth jutsu. I also asked if you would teach me some water jutsu as well, and in trade for both I wouldn't mind teaching you earth, and the earth jutsu i'm learning. Heck, maybe, you could use the earth jutsu to protect you from the evil lightning. I mean it's whatever, but I was hoping you would agree to it."
He looks back at the thing, the thing named Garroth, and says, "Not to offend, but what are you Garroth? I've never interacted or seen anything like you."

Kuro panted and heaved on Garroth's back, slowly stumbling his way up to the back of his neck. "Holy... shit... you are BIG Garroth! I've never summoned a hydra as big as you!"
"Oh! So you're mister Kuro! It's nice to finally meet you!"
Kuro hopped down from the hydra and landed with a grunt. Garroth smiled and laid down with his front feet crossed and chin on the ground. Kuro chuckled and sat down next to James while garroth refocused on James.
"Oh, I'm a Hydra mister James. My kind have kind of been hiding lately, but them mister Kuro stumbled into our home! The elder tried to smoosh him, but mister Kuro is unsmooshable! So now he's our friend!"
Kuro  scratched his head and nodded. "Yeah that's pretty much how it went. Anyways, I can totally help you tap into the element of water James. I might accept that offer for earth too. I'm supposed to be working on specializing in medical before I worry too much about elements. But I'll think on it. Garroth, you're kinda huge so people might freak out, how about you head back home?"
"Awwwww, do I have to? I just got here."
"Well, I'm tuckered out from summoning you. Took way too much out of me.. But if one of the guys wants to play with you you can stay."

James nods, and says, "A hydra, well the I'n, it is a pleasure to meet you, Garroth the hydra. I'm sorry your stay is short lived, but never fear, I'm certain that Kuro here will summon you again soon. It was nice to meet you, and hopefully, we will see each other again."
He looks at Kuro, and says, "Cool, we'll have to meet up later and exchange elements and jutsus. It be cool. But, anyways, I'm heading out myself. Tired from all this practicing I got in today. I'm gonna go crash, and sleep the next day through, never really tried to push myself this hard, but it feels good to do so. Thanks for allowing me to practice against you. See you later."
He waves goodbye to Shi, who seemed to be very quiet for some reason.
"Might be spooked by the summoning I guess," James thinks to himself, as he waves goodbye to the group. He exits the training grounds, heading home.
