The Terror of the Forest (IO) (Salzem, Kasai)

Seeing something like an ant amplified to such a size was revolting. It's mandibles clattering vigorously and saliva dripping out of what passed for a mouth. It did not seem to move very fast during its charge, making it seem less intimidating. Was this the horrid beast of which the mission spoke? Salzem flooded his body with chakra, a blue glow forming all around him. His muscle mass and strength seemed to increase as the flow reached it's climax. His body now covered in a flaming blue aura, his chakra enhancing his power. The ant did not seem to be much of a threat. The person atop it however, was. "Acid ammo?" That was to be avoided as much as possible. And the clothes.... Was that supposed to be an akatsuki robe? It looked as if his mother had stitched the red clouds onto a bath robe. Salzem Dashed right, out of the way of the ant's charge with his enhanced speed of 100 before running aiming his lariate at the man on it's back. He would jump up, bringing his arm up to strike the throat of the man with a devastating Lariate.

Kasai glanced at the massive ant, and assumed that this indeed had to be the creature. There was no way that it couldn't be. Glancing quickly to the ape that was by his side, Kasai received a nod. Whether or not that meant the ape also though this ant was the beat, Kasai did not know. But, there was one thing that he did know for sure: It was ant BBQ time!

Watching Salzem go for the man, Kasai deicded to direct the flames at the ant, in attempts to, well, roast it instantly. 

Pulling his hands out of the robes, both man and ape began weaving the same hand signs at the same time, circling different directions in a wide circle around the ant, both at a speed of 70, and a distance of 20 meters.

Dragon. Rat. Dragon. Tiger. Dragon. Bull. Dragon.


With that, (and I've been wanting to try that for a while, lemme tell you), fire seemed to erupt all around the ant (at a speed of 70, though it's unaviodable), and surrounded it completely. The flames were all the different colors that fire could be, blues, reds, yellow, orange, and green as well, making the ant truly a spectacle. 

However, nothing else was affected by the flames, and nothing truly burned, except for the ants life force; it burned at its chakra. (If it has 35 or less health, it is instantly unconscious on my next post.) The fire burned at the creature with a massive power of 70, strong enough to burn a village down in minutes, and on top of that, its stamina was being burned away at an extreme rate (it looses 70 ap for each post I make, unless it has over 70 health, in which case, that 70 ap is lowered by 1 for each 1 point that the health is higher.) It would be devastating, even if the creature had massive amounts of health, which Kasai assumed it did. 

However, the most powerful part was the fact that it was being cast twice, thus doubling every affect a single cast would have. (Karyoku is also casting it, so -140 ap per post, and two sources of 70 power.)

If the ant somehow stood the power, Kasai would be ready to strike again. 

The jutsu itself could not kill, only make someone fall unconcious, but it could do that extremely fast, and nearly never failed to do so.

The man in the Akatsuki robes groaned when he saw the three other ninjas show up. “Great. First those stupid Rocket people, and now these fools. They can all blast off for all I care.” He threw the empty acid launcher at the middle one, the one with the funny eye that appeared to be all cataracts or something, it was milky and gross, the large object spinning head over heals. Meanwhile, the ant began lumbering towards the trio, but one of the trio was starting to cover himself with a blue glow, and the other had a weird ape thingy with him, so who should he attack?

As the scarred one with the ape friend began to pull their hands out, and the other was nearly done covering himself with a blue aura, the ant kicked a wave of dirt at the others, moving at 80 speed, 15 meters wide. Anyone hit would experience mild discomfort. The large wave of dirt surged towards the other group, 4 if you counted the monkey thing. The rider took the temporary obfuscation to jump into a nearby tree, drawing a kunai launcher. Meanwhile, the ant was charging at the opponents, having begun to move right after the wave of dirt was kicked up. Its mandibles opened up, releasing a searing wave of flame likely to consume anything in its path, people, monkey thingies, and acid launchers alike. The flame, about as strong as the Great Fire Annihilation, but only 10 meters wide in diameter and moving at 60 speed, would travel outwards for 20 meters, spreading in a cone shape before dissipating.

The rider, a nameless Akatsuki wannabe, shook his head. Why did the ant have to do that? Didn’t it know how expensive acid launchers were? He took aim at the one who was scarred, from his cover in the tree about 15 meters away, and he would begin launching kunai at them unless stopped, about 1 a second, an entire volley of 10 spread out so that it would be hard to avoid the kunai.


Meanwhile, Draconis had not thought to activate his Byakugan until the opponent threw his… thing at the group, most specifically at yours truly. Then the ant kicked up a wave of dirt that was difficult to see past. Running backwards, Draconis watched as the device slammed into the ground, the one that the guy in red robes had thrown. If he had not dodged it, it would have probably done some major damage to his brain. Whew. Activating his Byakugan, he looked at the spot where he had last seen the ant and then scrolled up, to find no rider. He continued to back up out of range of the flames the ant was now launching, searching for the rider, who must be hiding some where. Trying for a bit more speed he tried flaring his fire chakra again like with the Wind Glaive technique but it did not seem to help much, it made him stronger but not faster.

As Salzem activated his Lariate Chakra Cloak, the ant kicked a spray of dirt his way. Instead of using the Lariate to attack, Salzem used it to avoid the dirt spray. As he did so, Salzem drew is katana and tossed it into the air above him. He would then draw his two key-blades, spinning them in his hands. As the Katana came down, Salzem reached out with his neck, catching the sword's handle between his teeth.
Seeing as though Kasai had everything under control with the ant, Salzem would search the surrounding area for the akatsuki rider. Salzem leaped from branch to branch within the parameter of the battle area with the ant. He didn't go far, just enough to trick the ninja. He was hidden amongst the reminence of an old long, Kunai launcher primed and ready to deliver another volley. Salzem closed in, spinning raising Olympia and One Winged Angel in front of him, almost as a make-shift shield. He needed to get to that rider. The person on top was usually much more dangerous than the mount. If the Man fired any more kunai, Salzem would swing his blades around, deflecting as many as he can while moving forward. The man cannot be allowed to get away.

Kasai and Karyoku watched the dirt cloud coming towards them, and both continued running their circles, Kasai speeding up to 80 speed, and Karyoku continuing running, though they were both already in motion, making it much more likely for them to be out of the way for the fire that followed the dirt.

Kasai then heard, and noticed movement out of the corner of his eye. He assumed it to be the missing ninja/strangely dressed man. Stopping dead in his movement, Kasai raised his hands to his chest again, and prepared what used to be his signature jutsu. As he watched the kunai flew towards him, keeping track of where they came, and waited until a split second before they would hit him. Tiger → Boar → Ox → Dog → Snake. (420 - 5 substitution = 415)

With that, Kasai would allow the kunai to hit him, or rather, hit the log that replaced his body upon contact, and used the jutsu to swap him meters above the head of the man hiding in the trees, having studied the trajectory of the launched kunai. 

Then, as Kasai quickly fell onto the man in the trees, Kasai made three simple hand signs; Rat, Tiger, Bull. And with that, Kasai light himself on fire. The fire would not harm Kasai at all, but it would harm any others with 60 power at 0-1meters distance from Kasai; 50 at 1-3 meters; 40 at 3-5 meters. (415- 45 = 370 ap remaining)

Meanwhile, Karyoku would continue running, avoiding the fire of the ant, and following it with the jutsu it had planned on using. Dragon. Rat. Dragon. Tiger. Dragon. Bull. Dragon.


A small fire ball (only inches in diameter) (and I had to change the jutsu up, that's why its a fireball) launched forth from the ape's fists, aimed towards the ant at a speed of 70. If it were to hit, fire would erupt all around the ant, and surround it completely. Growling in frustration, Draconis promptly gave up on the fire technique entirely. He would fix things hand to hand. He began running around to the side, around the entire battle field, accidentally stepping on a “Team Rocket” guy, until he came to the back of the ant. Weirdly enough a clone or exactly identical twin was clinging to the back of the ant, in such a way as to not be visible from the front. This twin, however, was not out of acid ammo, as Draconis found out, nearly the hard way. The acid instead demolished the tree he had been standing in, his body rocketing through the air towards a second tree. “There’s a second one on the back of the ant!” he yelled, using the Gale Palm technique to divert a second stream of acid that would have caught him in mid-air. Ahead he could see the first rider, in the slightly more faded Akatsuki imitation robes, but he thought he also saw someone else approaching, hopefully one of the Hyena’s team-mates.





The first rider, the one with the kunai launcher, saw the one with swords preparing some kind of sword attack or something, as why else would he be tossing swords in the air? He then let fly with his kunai, about 5 of them moving in a small arc, aimed right at the boy with 3 sword’s torso. It was then that he saw the scarred guy disappear, avoiding the kunai. Wanting to get a better look, he ran forward, jumping off of the tree, aiming to land where his other kunai had landed. While in the air he let fly at the ape with his kunai launcher again, from this angle the ape would likely have trouble seeing his attack as the ape was appearing to be attacking the ant at this time. This would be happening as the ape was preparing some kind of attack, appearing to be doing handseals.





Meanwhile, the ant kicked up another wave of dirt at the approaching ape, its mandibles temporarily stopping chattering as it began to build up a wave of fire that would obliterate… well, nobody knew yet but it was certain to be a lot. It jumped into the air, to the protests of the second rider, who was barely clinging on, interrupted while shooting at Draconis.

Salzem tightened his grip on his swords as he swung them in a horizontal arc as the kunai closed in. With a roar, Salzem's blades knocked the knifes sideways, causing them to imbed themselves into the dirt rather than their intended target. As Salzem closed in on the rider as he tried to land on a specific spot where one of his kunai had landed. Salzem lowered himself into an aggressive stance, one favored by those of the wielders of the Three sword style. Redirecting the flow of his energy throughout his body, Salzem was now capable of being faster and stronger than he was before (Max Speed: 95. Max Strength: 80). Using his new found speed, Salzem would dash towards the rider as he leaped through the air off a tree. Salzem's speed would most likely out-match the rider's making him capable of intercept the man's attempt at a landing. Closing the last couple of meters between them (Speed 95 lasts for 3 posts), Salzem would bring his hand-held blades around in a horizontal cut aimed at the man's belly (Speed 95 Strength 80. Total Sharpness 190(discounting the Mouth Blade)). The sheer power of the slash would likely split the man open like a ripe mellon, guts and red spilling over the young Chuunin. Not only would the force easily break the poor man's belly, but quite possibly smash his ribs and pelvis as the force is received by the body. However, if the attack were to either fail of the rider was able to get off another shot, Salzem would raise his blades defensively, ready to deflect incoming blows. This did not mean he was giving the man space. This just meant he was minding his own space.

WC: 2275

Kasai landed in the tree that the ninja had been in seconds ago, and growled. The tree caught fire almost instantly, but Kasai had to take out the rider. The leaves already burning apart, Kasai would have a clear vision of the battlefield, including where the rider had jumped to. 

Once again calculating the trajectory of the rider in the air, assuming he wouldn't be able to change direction mid jump, Kasai quickly formed the handseals for a body flicker, moving at a speed of 130 (not full speed because I was not previously moving.), Kasai aimed to come out of the body flicker right behind where the ninja would land, seeing that Salzem was already on a collision course to him. This would ensure the flames were too far away to hurt Salzem, but if the man tried to turn around when he landed and faced Salzem, Kasai would be there, blazing like a beacon, waiting for him. It would be very hard to escape this.

As he flew through the air, Kasai made sure to keep a 5 meter distance from his allies. He also desperately hoped that the fire would be strong enough to do something. 

However, while Kasai flew, he noticed kunai flying towards the unsuspecting Karyoku. The ape had already cast it's only jutsu, and so with that, he canceled the summon, making the ape disappear in a puff of smoke, and likely wondering why it was sent back. It was too bad; the ape was powerful, and Kasai could have made use of it yet.

Karyoku, in the moments before being returned to the world of apes, finished the casting for Eternal Chakra Burning, and sent the fireball towards the ant. Then, in a poof of smoke, vanished, not to be summoned in the topic again, due to rules. However, while Karyoku might not have been able to see through the dirt cloud, the fireball didn't have to, and had some minimal tracking capabilities, and as the ant jumped upwards, made a 30 degree correction to its flight, now aimed to hit the back of the ant, rather than the head as it had been aimed, but on target for a hot regardless. I've said what will happen too many times if it hits.

The first rider was unable to avoid the oncoming… swordsman? A sneer flitted across his face at the thought of being defeated by a waste of space as he. Then he was all sliced up, unaware that escaping would not have been likely to succeed anyway due to being double teamed. Meanwhile, the ant was almost successful in using miniscule wings to divert its motion, the fireball, nearly missing, touched its back left leg, and the ant was suddenly exhausted. The rider managed to jump off though, avoiding all the current attacks as he fell through the air. The ant fell, flaming, shooting fire out of its mouth at the ground in an attempt to stop itself. The resulting explosion when it landed on the ground resembled the Hindenburg, a legendary explosion that none of the ninjas would have any business knowing about. Meanwhile, the rider began letting loose with his acid gun, shooting waves of sludge at all of the opponents, of which more remained than him, quite unfortunately.
 

Meanwhile, Draconis saw the rider being carried into the air by the jumping ant, and drew a kunai. Seeing the man jump off the ant, he threw the kunai from his blind spot, the kunai embedding in the man’s back, and causing him to loose his balance, tumbling down through the air, the rest of his acid spraying everywhere, including on the man’s own body. A ghastly sight crashed down on the earth next to the exploded remains of the ant, the acid even eating its way into the ground. Draconis was lucky enough to have not been in the path of the acid but who knows about the others? Jumping over the spots of acid, and around the fallen foe, he began heading back to his team-mates. Hopefully everyone made it back in one piece.
