The white mantle

Vigil would enter the room. He was rather tired. For some reason his creator decided to give him at least some degree of morality and that caused him to help the suffering around the village and help the medical ninja around the hospital. But now he was done, he was beat enough to say screw it and had retreated into one of the rooms. Here was his stuff, you could say it's where he camped, at least so far, during his brief stay in the village. It's also where the corpse he was given was put. Good thing nobody would come here, in fact this whole wing of the hospital was quite abandoned, probably because it was unstable with part of it being blown off, though the rest of the building was quite densely populated with the amount of injured in the village and stuff.
Honestly, Vigil was getting bored. At this rate he would be just wasting his time here, maybe learning by himself. Well, at least this was not hostile territory. He understood that Youka had a village to run and all, but.. Vigil lost that thought. He approached his loot. Picking up the haori he would inspect it. There appeared to be several seals on it. How exactly they worked eluded him, but he guessed they were beneficial, meant to empower the wearer. However the crafty way how the seals were connected made them inactive for some reason. Next the Exemplar would take a look at the blade. Unfortunately here too he would find a block - the sword could not be unsheathed. Passing it with a careful look the boy would find seal inscriptions on it as well. For now he would put the blade down and turn at the body. As he approached the corpse the boy would wonder if there were any secrets and answers to his questions that could be gathered from it. He would look at the cloth that obstructed the view of empty eye sockets.

Drifting calmly through the halls of the Hospital Mortarion would walk with purpose towards the room where the one known as Vigil was staying for his time here. He had promised Naoki that he would take care of the male and he intended to do just that. As he made his way to his destination he would note the uncanny peacefulness the hospital was putting off. Doctors weren't rushing to and fro, and patients were not rushing the nurses desk attempting to skip their waiting number and be seen before others. No, there was none of that, everyone sat and even the doctors were prompt with getting people in and out, everything made a difference when you had control and a one mind village.
Reaching the door where Vigil was located, the Raikage would knock twice on the door before speaking.
"Vigil, are you in there?"

Vigil sensed Youka behind the door just prior to the knocking. "Yes, come in please." Whoever entered the room would see that it was actually the surgery, or an abandoned one. It was relatively clean, as is required of operating rooms, well, except for the dust and occasional ruble caused by the cataclysmic event that leveled the village. The katana and the haori were put in a corner, near an empty cupboard where probably some sort of medicine used to be when this wing was functional. In the center was an operating table and on it the corpse that Vigil was given. It was mostly naked, only privates and the face covered with a white cloth. Vigil in comparison wore his usual mostly white long sleeved robe of same color as his hair, though the sleeves were now rolled up so they don't hinder. The robe had a golden and black collar and some ornaments and same theme covered the whole robe, while his hair was only ornamented with a braid just left of his face. With his response the exemplar's blue eyes rose to meet Youka at the door. He was actually rather expecting this meeting.

Stepping past the threshold of the door once it was voiced that he could enter Mortarion would close the door behind him silently before turning to face Vigil. Today just like most days now He would be in full armor regalia they grey neither shining nor seeming dirty. He had attempted to remove the armor on multiple occasions but was met with the sight of his own intestines being liquefied slowly and the goo sticking to his armor. So till he found a way to beat this new pox that the bijuu had put on him he would have to travel like this day to day.
Striding through the room he took note that it hadn't been redone to the new standards set. It still was fairly worn looking from when Kumo was taken over and he could tell it needed a good dusting as well. He would ensure a crew was sent here on a later date to finish their job. As he made his way over to where Vigil was standing he would offer his hand to the male to shake before looking down at the body on the table in front of them.
The operating table brought back memories of his time in Yukigakure operating not only on himself but Maku and a few others as well. It was during his learning period of understanding the human body and how it operated. He of course had some failures but his success far out weighed that, which in turn made him the man he was today.
"I came by because I promised Naoki I would show you how to properly use medical jutsu, and being a man of my word, here I am."

Vigil, who looked to be maybe a sixteen year old boy, while actually being no more than a year old, would smile at his new teacher. For a moment his thought would go to Denkiteki, who was meant to teach him and his unexpected fall. Returning to the current the seal clone would gesture at the corpse he had had the time to inspect very briefly before Youka got here, but it did not take long or much skill to spot the obvious. "I've been hoping to inspect the seals this body clearly has, but before that I would like to learn more about this." his hand would show a specific area on the body where clearly some sort of operation was done. "I speculate this is some kind of transplant. Do you have any insight on how or why it may have been done?"

Receiving no response the artificially created boy would go on and muse in voice about the subject. "The original parts was probably lost in battle or maybe removed for the purpose of implanting the new parts. I guess it was grafted on with medical jutsu, stimulating regenerative processes and possibly even forcefully matching or adapting dna." Now it seemed like Vigil figured it out all by himself. Maybe he did not even need a teacher. Who knows. The mystery of the transplant no longer interested him, although he would not mind learning what was the purpose of the procedure.
Maybe he should return to the question of the seals. For now Vigil would tinker with the gifts he was given. If Youka did not move for a while, he would get help and get him out of here.
