Meeting of Kin (Zero)

Second dance, Kotsuzui remembers his mother talking about something like that. The Kaguya clan had a number of 'dances', each one being a skill used by their clan. The further down the list, the stronger the skills were, and he was about to learn the second one. This one was the Dance of the Camellia. Zero began explaining what the skill consisted of, and it turns out the bone weapon he was currently holding in his hand was the weapon the first dance created. The weapons average size and slim figure allowed for rapid movement of its use, which would allow for quick and rapid strikes making it harder for the opponent to evade or parry the weapon. Of course, the user had to be quick with the weapon in the first place. After throwing the weapon into the center of the tree they were practicing on, Zero began his explanation on how to use the jutsu. "Nice throw" Kotsuzui thought to himself, as the fellow Kaguya member must have had some practice with the weapon, or was just skilled with weapons.

He then demonstrated how it was done, as he raised his arm, palm pointing forward. Shortly after, a joint started creeping its way out of his hand, the more it came out the more the shape of the weapon could be seen. Once it was far enough, Zero proceeded to pulling the weapon out the rest of the way. He went on, mentioning how one ability allowed for Kaguya members to pull out their own spinal cord. "Damn, we can pull our own spinal cord out and replace it with a new one...that's intense."

Now it was Kotsuzui's turn to have his try at creating to bone sword. Much like the bone bullets, he began concentrating on manipulating the bones in his arm. As he was doing so, he could feel the bones in his arm moving around. It was still a weird feeling to him having his bones moving around in his body when they were always in the same spot. But it was something he was going to get use to very quickly. He saw zero pull the sword out from his palm, but Kotsuzui was feeling a little adventurous and was going to see if he could pull it out from his shoulder. The bone slowly but surely made its way to his shoulder, and once it got there he concentrated on shaping it to look like the bone sword Zero had created twice. Once he was positive he got the shape down he began forcing it out of his left shoulder. With his right hand, he slightly moved his robe revealing his shoulder and the newly formed lump. With a little but more force, the joint of the sword ripped through his skin revealing his ripped up muscle tissue and open skin. With his right hand he grabbed the hilt of the weapon and pulled it out the whole way, while his muscles and skins quickly repaired itself. Kotsuzui swung it around slicing at the air, after giving it an inspection comparing his to Zero's.

"Not bad, I think I'm getting better at this" Kotsuzui said with a grin on his face. "With a little practice this weapon will be like my third arm."

At least he was catching onto things rather quickly to the swing of things, seeing this made him think that Kots could become quite the troublesome clan member yet in a good way. Watching as he performed the next technique he kept his hands on the blade for a moment wondering where his physical attributes were. Even if one could learn these jutsu quickly you'd still need a strong body in order to handle the strain, so instead of teaching him another jutsu or dance he planned on having a small spar with him to see where he was fighting wise. What point was there in learning a few new moves if you got your shit pushed in before you could use them?

With that in mind he rolled his shoulders and began to stretch a bit as he smiled," That's good. Means you can learn the higher tier dances in time though there is one issue we are going to address today," stand up straight he would crack his back a few good ways before sighing and walking over towards the tree where his blade had been embedded into by his own hand and pulled it out," We're gonna have a little spar for a bit to get your body stronger and tougher, after all what's the point of being a Kaguya if our bodies aren't at their strongest all the time. So the plan's pretty simply Kotsuzui, were gonna test those new techniques you learn and hope you pick up on some subtle things for later. Even were Genin we can be stronger than those higher than us. In my time in this village i've fought...maybe four Jounin. One of which was killed for aiding a criminal in escaping, two i fought on my own and beat them, and the last? Not that good of a fighter so we'll leave it like that. My point is that we can do more than people think, but before i bore you with words," he smiled and gave the two of them space.

He wanted to test himself and more importantly test his own clansmen to see where they had came after so long. In Zero's mind he could surpass Kimmimaro or any of his clan, but for that he would need to delve a bit into those that came before him. With that in mind he waved the bone blade towards the male in front of him and smiled," Well come on then don't leave me waiting, lets have a bit of fun before we get tired," allowing Kots the first move he would wait and see what the male would do.

Kotsuzui waited for Zero to both inform and show what the next skill to be learned was. But Kotsuzui noticed that he began stretching and adjusting his shoulder. Not to sure of what was happening, but Kotsuzui was quite familiar with the 'shoulder roll', and it was quite often used before getting into a fight, loosen up those muscles. The grin on Zero's face only added to Kotsuzui's suspicion.

"Don't worry" Kotsuzui said with a grin, "I intend on learning all our clan abilities, and some. With your help of course. I've already learned two of them in no time with you."

After Kotsuzui's mentor cracked some bones and stretched more, he pulled his own bone sword out that he threw into the tree. Then his suspicion was confirmed, the two Kaguya's were going to duke it out. Kotsuzui could not help but grin. He knew Zero was stronger than he was and had more experience, but that was not going to stop Kotsuzui from enjoying this moment.

"You must have read my mind" he replied to Zero announcing they would spar. "But I'd still like to learn at least one more bloodline ability before the days end."

He listened attentively as Zero basically spoke about how rank had no true meaning on ones strength, and that Kaguya's are basically a strong clan and can do more than people expect. Though these were important words for Kotsuzui to hear, at the same time they were bad as the would only feed more into his ego of fighting and make him believe he could take on anyone, even those clearly stronger than him.

After speaking, space was created between the two Kaguya members as Zero beckoned Kotsuzui on to make the first move. Not surprised, after all Zero was the stronger one and the teacher so he wanted to see what Kotsuzui could do. " If you say so" Kotsuzui said shrugging his shoulder. Trying his best to catch Zero off guard, he quickly propelled himself forward as he whipped his right arm flinging his bone sword right for him. It was his first time using the weapon so his aim was a little off but still on target. Meanwhile, Kotsuzui already had a second bone sword prepared to come out of his right palm, though just the joint of the bone as sticking out and Kotsuzui made sure to hide it from Zero. Once he closed the distance on the Kaguya, he came to a sliding halt just about ten feet from Zero as he swung his left arm across. This time three bone bullet were released from his fingers towards Zero. However, he was still enefficient with the use of this skill and needed more practice with it. With the addition of having shot the bones by swinging his arm, even closing the distance only one bullet was on a direct path to Zero. The other two were shot too wide. His reasoning for shooting them so close was because he remembered Zero mentioning how most people just dodged them, so he wanted to see how the skilled worked with the cap between two people was closed.

He was eager to learn so many of the jutsu though since Zero had many of them he didn't mind teaching them though...maybe the others would have to be shown in the spar for him to understand it properly. As the male continued to speak he would smile and shake is head for a moment," Since you are ever so eager to learn about all of the Kaguya techniques, i'll do you a favor. I'll show you one of two parts of a dance just to show you how we can use our techniques to do some pretty cool stuff," at the end of his statement he said nothing more and waited for the mail to make his move.


As the bone sword came at him, Zero's first response was quick and efficient. Flicking his wrist his own bone blade would fly forward and collide with the males blade, sending Kots back a few meters while his was knocked back the same distance but towards him. He continued to watch the boy as his movements came closer and closer yet he was preparing to show the male just what he meant by the techniques having hidden purposes. He would have begin to push his spine out of his back as a new one grew in its place, his left hand reaching and pulling it out as he dodged the bone bullets but kept his eyes square on Kots. A smirk played on his face as he whipped his left hand around, causing the ten meter long whip to twist towards Kots but was that his real plan?

If Kots had managed to dodge the whip, the whip itself would contort and wrap around his bone blade pulling it backwards towards Kots' leg in an attempt to cut it. Though this move wasn't as simple it was a means to an end. As he continued to watch Kots he prepared the second form of the dance just in case.

Before they engaged one another, Zero mentioned that he planned on showing Kotsuzui a dance during their spar that had two parts to it. But he only stated how he was going to show him one part to it.

With the flick of a wrist, Zero managed to hit Kotsuzui's own bone sword out of the air with pinpoint accuracy with his own bone sword. As the two bone swords spun in mid air, Kotsuzui continued his attack on his Kaguya teacher with the bone bullets. But as he did so he noticed Zero reaching behind him for something. "He's not going to..." Kotsuzui began saying to himself, but could not even finish before Zero began pulling out his own spinal cord all while dodging the three bone bullets that had been shot at him. Kotsuzui could not help but watch in amazement as he realized it in fact Zero's spine that he was pulling out to be used as a weapon. But he did not let himself get caught off guard. When Zero swung his spine whip, Kotsuzui ducked under it only evading the deadly weapon by the strands of his hair as he felt a few of them tear from his scalp.

Eyes following the whip, he spotted it grab his bone blade from the air and whip it towards his leg. Grabbing a hold of the joint of the sword that was partially sticking out of his hand, he pulled his second sword out of his palm much like Zero had done when he demonstrated how the jutsu worked. With his second sword, he deflected his first one from its path of flight right onto the ground. If time allowed, Kotsuzui picked up the bone blade with his free hand now dual wielding both bone blades he had created. Remembering what Zero had said in his explanation of the bone sword about being able to strike very fast with these weapons, it was time Kotsuzui tried it out. He knew he was not fast enough, but it wasn't going to stop him from trying to get to Zero. With a few leaps and running, Kotsuzui closed the remaining distance between the two Kaguya's and began jabbing at Zero repeatedly with both weapons as fast as he could in an attempt to see how good he could really fight with these weapons.

The males movements were getting better and better as he moved fluently with each passing moment though through his advancement he had forgotten one key thing, perception. While he had been moving rather quickly, he had forgotten what exactly he had done with the whip. As the whip reached around the bone sword, the material or cartilage within the bone whip would begin to contort and expand allowing the whip to bend and maneuver in a way a normal spine wouldn't. Through the technique the bone blade would come from behind Kots and cut him across the face. If that wasn't the worst of it the whip would wrap around Kots and hold him in place as he attempted to stab at him with the Camellia dance, a smile present on his face as he cracked his neck," Good job but you forgot one key element. This whip here is a spine right? It also functions like a whip and can extend and also stab at the same time and yet it has another purpose," tightening the grip of the whip he would smile as his free arm began to crack.

On his arm it began to twist and contort as something akin to a drill began to form, its length measuring near four meters, its spiral complex taking over his arm until he smiled and aimed the arm at him," This is the combination of our clans dances, The Vine and the Flower, a dance that goes hand in hand. Imagine what would happen if i hit you with this...Would you live ....or would you die?," taking a small step forward he would act like he was about to use the collaboration technique on the male but end both of them at a flick of his...well he just ended them. Rolling his shoulders for a moment he would look at his hands and the weapons he still had, pulling the whip back from Kots and breaking it for a moment so that nothing was left of it but kept the bone blade with him.

Cracking his neck he would extend his hand towards the fellow Kaguya with a smile, thinking that in the event that he disappeared he would be the one to take on the clan name," You show a lot of promise though you still have a long way to go. As time goes on you will definitely learn all of the techniques of our clan and master them, though I have one thing to ask. Never give in to the world and give our bloodline to others...There aren't many of us left...Though it sounds good, we should keep our secrets between brethren alright?," though he didn't mind this, he was sure that the male in front of him would carry on the legacy of the Kaguya after him.

Kotsuzui completely miss interpreted the movement of the spine whip and it caught him off guard big time. His attempt to deflect the bone blade was proven futile as the whip moved in a contorted fashion. Next thing he knew, his bone blade trapped by the whip was slicing him across his face opening up a wound. But it didn't end there. Kotsuzui still attempted to follow up with his barrage of the Camellia dance, but yet again he was caught off guard by the whips maneuvering abilities. Before Kotsuzui could land a hit with his blade on Zero, the whip wrapped around his upper body binding his arms and movement all together. "Dammit this spinal cord is a good weapon" the Kaguya thought to himself as he struggled to brake free, but his efforts were proven futile.

Zero began giving Kotsuzui a lesson on what the whip could do, and went on to say the whip had another purpose. "What else can this whip do?" he thought to himself, but he would soon realize it was not the whip that was going to be doing something new. Kotsuzui was about to witness the second phase of the dance. Bones began seeping through Zero's arm as the twisted and turned around his arm. Kotsuzui could not help but look in astonishment as Zero had just formed a massive swirling bone drill that covered his entire arm. "Oh dear" Kotsuzui muttered as Zero began explaining what this skill was. Kotsuzui did not move a muscle when Zero pretended to strike but stopped before making contact, either because he was stunned by amazement, or the whip was just binding him completely and could not do anything whether he wanted to or not.

"I'd have probably died if that hit me" Kotsuzui said, answering Zero's question. Zero released Kotsuzui from the grips of the spinal cord whip and released both skills while taking a hold of the bone sword he had created. Zero began speaking once more, complimenting Kotsuzui on the skill that he did have but that he still had a long way to go. Then he asked for Kotsuzui to never allow for others to take his clan abilities and that it was something that only brethren Kaguya members should have access to. Kotsuzui nodded to his current teacher, and it gave him an idea. Zero stated how there weren't many Kaguya's left. It gave him the idea to band them all together. He just witness some of what a Kaguya clan member can do, imagine what they could do working together. But to do this he would need to become stronger, and stronger is what Kotsuzui aimed for. Now with a passion and goal in mind, it would only help but push Kotsuzui to strive to be the best that he could be.

"I look forward to my future as a Kaguya, and working with you" Kotsuzui would add. "You have already shown me so much and taught me some important lessons in the matter of a day. They will be remembered." Then a grin spread across his face. "But, you're clearly not tired, and I think I can keep going..." as he too reached behind his head with his free left hand. When Kotsuzui was trapped within the spinal whip, he wasn't just scratching his ass and watching Zero do his thing. He had been observing the whip the whole time, the way it looked, its length and movement. He was analyzing it. What seemed like a bone hilt pop out from the base of Kotsuzui's neck as he grabbed a hold of it. Slowly pulling at it, Kotsuzui began pulling out his own spinal cord as he created another one in its place. Before long, Kotsuzui had fully pulled out his spine as it was now contracted and looked like a really long staff.

"Now that, felt weird" Kotsuzui said with a permanent grin plastered across his face, "but was awesome." With that, he would glance over at Zero and as quickly as he could swipe his spine at Zero's ankles. If hit, the spine would sweep Zero right off of his feet. But before Zero would make contact with the ground, the spinal cord would extend exactly like Zero had done and wrap around both of Zero's ankles binding them together. If this worked, and Kotsuzui managed to bind Zero's legs together while on the ground, Kotsuzui would proceed to moving in to stab with his bone sword in his right hand, knowing that it probably would not make contact with Zero's body.

" Good answer Kotsu, sometimes you have to know when its time to stop and when its time to continue, though with me showing you that you can now work off of it and progress even further when you're by yourself or with someone else," It wasn't often he gave praise to someone yet it felt almost natural in a sense. He wasn't tired from all of this training though he doubted if he could hold himself back anymore considering all it could take was the wrong move to piss someone off and then it would be a brawl that would be one sided. With that in mind he planned on stopping the spar here and going about his business and finishing some much needed training. Maybe go learn another element or do a mission...Missions did sound good enough to do.

If Hideyoshi could express the feeling of embarrassment he would at this moment but he knew that flattery got nobody nowhere fast," Well in time you will find your own path like I said, though I am here there are things you will have to work on yourself, but when you find those answers you will know what to do with them. It all comes down to how bad you want to see your dreams come true," when the male spoke of continuing the spar he would wave his hand dismissively and shrug," You really don't want to continue this, i've taught you more than enough for one day and," as soon as he was about to finish he could see the male pulling out his spine in an attempt to use the Vine. Though he wanted to sigh he knew that his words fell on deaf ears and now he would have to show the male what he meant by his words.

As the male proceeded to swing his spine towards him with the whip like weapon, Zero's suppression ended causing his eyes to turn a deep red and his chakra to flare in an explosion of blue and black. Now being serious his right hand swiftly lurched outward in an explosion of power causing a pressurized air vacuum to press against Kots and instead of pushing him towards Zero it would push him back," I told you that we were done and you decide to try and continue this? I said we were done and we are DONE," the second punch would cause Kots to be pressed into the ground by the same vacuum, the immense pressure of a forbidden taijutsu attack being used. With the second punch making a crater into the ground he sighed and slowly returned to normal as he began to walk off," We're done here for today and if you try to attack me again? I'll make sure you feel what my power is like...Take some time to think on what I said. See ya," with that his body disappeared in a wind of leaves

Zero spoke some more words of wisdom to Kotsuzui as he took it in. After though, he told Kotsuzui that the fight was over, but being too excited and concentrated on pulling out his own spine, the words passed right over his head. He attempted to strike the Kaguya in front of him, but it was probably the worst idea Kotsuzui had ever chosen to do. He noticed Zero's eyes change color, and an explosion of energy burst from him. "What the fuck?" he thought to himself as he was completely caught off guard by this sudden transformation, or burst of energy. Zero proceeded to punching at Kotsuzui's direction, shooting a huge vacuum of air into him. The impact of the vacuum shot Kotsuzui right into the ground. Then there was another one, the second one basically pinning Kotsuzui to the ground putting him dead center in a crater. After some more words, wise and threatening, the Kaguya left the training grounds. "That, was freaking sick" Kotsuzui said as he painfully pulled himself out of the crater. "I've got to learn how he did that...but man he either has issues or anger problems. Either way, he did teach me some pretty sick moves." Pulling himself up with the help of his solidified spinal cord weapon, Kotsuzui was about to practice the flower dance, but before he could even attempt it, it was like he got struck by a lightning bolt as a surge of pain just shot right through his body. His bones were shaking unbelievably. "I guess I pushed myself to the limit again" Kotsuzui said, as he struggled to make his way out of the training grounds, to his home where he would take a very long nap.
