Saving a Princess! [Mission]

Mission:

Taiyo stands at the left post of the village gate. The sleeves of his red shirt under his gray ninja vest are shorter because the sun shines so brightly today. He enjoys the rays of heat upon his skin. He also wears his regular gray cargo shorts and gray shinobi sandals.

His job, along with his two fellow Hoshigakure genin, is to welcome the schedualed royalty coming to the village and show them around the village.

"That's our job alright..." Taiyo thinks, standing straight with his hands behind his back, his left holding his right. "But it's almost time. They said they'd be here a few minutes from now. I'm sure they gave themselves a little bit of time in that ETA to account for unforeseen circumstance. But what could have happened? It's almost noon."

Shika yawned, pacing aimlessly throughout the village. A canteen of water rested in her left hand, and her hand was poised above it as she tried to channel some chakra into the life sustaining liquid. Earlier that day, she had made use of some chakra affinity papers, and discovered her second element. It, of course, was water. Lightning came easily, something that was instinctively part of her since she was able to use chakra. The liquid was strange, new, foreign. It frustrated her to no end. As if sensing her anger, or as if mocking her, the water in the canteen suddenly splashed around violently, although there was no way to tell if it was her doing or just something that happened as a result of her walking pace. She grumbled to herself, before she was hit really hard on the back of her head.

"Hey, what was that-" she looked around to see a mission scroll at her feet. "-for?" She looked around, seeing no-one. Freaking ANBU. She read it, nodding to herself at the contents, before realizing that she was supposed to be at the village gates ten minutes ago. Whoops. Shika body flickered over, scratching the back of her head in embarrassment when she arrived. "Sorry I'm late," she said sheepishly. "You see, I was minding my own humble business when I was suddenly struck from behind with a mission scroll!"

It was good to know that if she ever failed at being a ninja, she could always become an actress.

The deafening clash of bright ringing symbols would announce Ash's presence at the gates, followed by a very distraught Rei dragging her heels beside their puppet meowth. THe mission today was to go find a noble and ensure their make it back to the village on time...... Which had caused a surprising change in the two. Rei, who usually had to physically restrain her syster and literally drag her out to do missions was the least excited to head out today, mostly because Ash realized immediately what this meant. See, for a princess of cosplay to be meeting royalty..... One would have to look their best, a truth that was too clear in both ash's mind and reial's nightmares. As such Rei had dawned one of her least used costumes, an enormous white dress with silver trim that almost looked as if it were too large to fit through the gates. Of course it did once they approached. I'm just exagerating.

Today her wig would be long and white, each strand curled in a very victorian style and in her left hand she held a large fan. After hours of arguing Rei had however gotten her way, being allowed to dress plainly for the ordeal in a tank top and wrap pants. The drastic difference between the two was stifling. "Ah. Looks like we'll be teaming up again hm? " Ash spoke to taiyo waving the fan several times, mostly to cool herself in the gawdy hot dress.
