Altar’s face would contort as the Kage seemed to unfold his plan. The man had continued his twist, spinning himself to face where Altar had appeared, and he had grabbed the boy’s katana as he started backpedalling. Looks like it wouldn’t be just as easy as Altar had hoped.

As the Kage backpedalled just out of reach of Altar’s hands, Altar would lean his body back and begin backpedalling himself, gaining about a meter of distance between the two, resulting in a total distance of a meter and a half by the time Xyxer would let the katana fly.

Altar would move forward and weave to his left side slightly, and grab the katana from the air firmly by the hilt, the blade now back to it’s owner, held in an icepick style grip in his right hand. The boy would rest his left hand on it in normal fashion, removing his right hand. Altar would run forward at the Mizukage, closing the distance between them quickly.

Altar’s first move would be to slash across his own body from right side to left, the blade angled downwards and out toward Xyxer. The slash would come across the man’s left, then right leg, which would hopefully cause him to slow, if not stumble completely. The slash would continue on it’s path to Xyxer’s right wrist, numbing and debilitating it’s use if not severing the extremity completely. If the blade didn’t impact the man’s wrist, it would instead carry on to knock the blade from his hands. Altar would then switch directions and bring the katana back across from left to right, aiming to slash across Xyxer’s throat and chest.

Something had changed in the male. The electricity that flourished in his hands, had started to die, much like his confidence. His body stopped, then backpedaled away from the man. It was vaguely amusing.. Xyxer was left standing there, his own sword held to his side and Altar's still held firmly in his other hand in a thrusting position since he had left the position Xyxer wanted him in before he could start the throw. Watching him stand there, befuddled most likely, Xyxer simply allowed a chuckle to escape his lips before he threw Altar's Katana in front of him, allowing the blade to pierce the earth. "Pick it up, then we'll go again." By this point, Altar was five meters ahead of Xyxer, who continued to stand in his relaxed stance.

Altar would sigh heavily, nodding his head and crouching down slightly to pull the weapon from the ground at his feet.

With the blade held firmly in his left hand, Altar would nod at the man, and start running towards him.

Altar's first motion would be a swipe at the Kage's stomach, moving from Altar's right to left horizontally. As the blade swept around, Altar would use his right hand to grab at the Kage's left wrist, and as he grabbed, Altar would kick with his right leg, around Xyxer's left, hook behind and pull back towards him and out to the left, a move that would inevitable trip the man. As he fell, Altar would swing his sword back around, aiming to stab the man in the chest as he fell.

Watching Altar retrieve his sword then start his charge once more, he nodded his head faintly. The distance had been closed rather rapidly, and it appeared that Altar's answer to this fight was a slash much akin to his own. However, something interesting happened.. Altar's right hand had started to twitch and move as the sword followed it's path, extending somewhat.. interesting. Twisting the sword in his left hand so that the edge faced Altar, he lifted it up almost instantaneously, using it to block the sword that was still a few feet from impacting his body. Once the sword's clashed, he flicked his wrist a little to elongate the sword a small amount before using this advantage in an attempt to push the sword back in an abnormal way towards Altar, the blade most likely going directly in the path of Altar's right hand suddenly, and of course, possibly wounding him in the effort. If something else was to be done, Xyxer remained on the tips of his toes in order to backpedal if needed, but of course if Altar remained intent on trying to hook his leg, which he noticed from the sudden shifting of weight, he would simply thrust his left knee outwards into the right thigh of Altar, sending a sharp pain through the muscle as well as throwing him backwards a small amount if it was to work.

At the push from Xyxer's sword on his own, Altar would retract his right hand from the new path of the sword. Xyxer had nudged the sword back on the path it had been on previously, but in reverse. To get a better grip, Altar would twist his hand around the hilt, the blade now in an icepick grip, the hilt skyward and blade downwards, at about waist level. Altar would continue a swing in this direction, keeping all momentum from Xyxer's little nudge.

The Kage had sent his left knee out to hit Altar's right thigh. The impact would knock Altar's right leg back, that foot now being his back foot, his left leading. Meanwhile, Altar's katana would have completed it's return, the bladed edge now facing Altar's right side. The katana, by now, would be just impacting the Mizukage's outstuck left leg at about mid thigh. The weapon, should it impact, would carry through the Kage's leg, severing the limb entirely. This would be happening about a second after Xyxer had pushed Altar's blade back. Taking into account the time, and the Kage now being shifted and offbalance, would make it incredibly hard to get out of this situation. Add to that the fact that Xyxer's entire body was most likely leaning forward to Altar's direction to accomodate the outstuck leg, and it became virtually impossible for the Kage to move anywhere but into the blade.


"Start with a broad, open move, anticipate the retaliation, and retaliate to that." Altar would say in his head. It was how Xyxer had opened their fight, and how Altar now opened the resume.

The blades had clashed and Altar's surely did relent, which was perfect for Xyxer and what he had been hoping for. Of course, it was a far fetched dream to injure him with such a simple move, but that was not the sole intent of it. As the blade pushed back towards Altar, he spun it around his hand once before putting it into a reverse grip, how interesting. As the blade was midspin, let's say whilst it was pointed at Altar w/ the pointy end, Xyxer's blade continued the movement of his own sword in an extended slash towards the forearm/wrist of Altar. It was unlikely that he could parry such a move given that the sword was spinning far slower than the attack was coming with his hand and wrist already being in an awkward position to catch such an object and instantly counter the move. Yet alas, you do not put all of your eggs into one basket. That's why, if it looks like Altar somehow does manage to counter the damage of this attack, or he continues to pursue the leg faster than he'd reach the forearm, which is again unlikely, he'd send his own sword to riposte it by striking the side of the sword to force it to swing away from the leg. Now of course, while these events happened, his foot found solid ground with an opening into Altar's body should he desire to push further into him.

Seeing nothing happen in retaliation, Xyxer simply backpedaled instantly to create a gap. It had been somewhat fun to have this event, but there was a gnawing gaze upon him. The stony gaze of the monument felt heavy upon him, as if he was bearing it's weight upon his shoulders. His ego had became overwhelming, and he was only feeling it's effects now.. He had started off as a neutral murderer within the confines of Old Kirigakure, yet now along his twisted path, his nature had became deformed. This would need to be seen to, and so without any further words, Xyxer placed his sword back into his sheath and retrieved Samehada before making his way towards his apartments.
