Will you spar with me? (Yoshi)

'Did  I get her?' Togi thought to himself just as his finger tips were about to make contact with the girl’s skin however just as his attack was about to land he felt the tell-tale flash of chakra surging out from the girls core indicating that she had just activated the substitution technique. 'Ok where is she going?' Togi then silently questioned as his chakra senses quickly tracked her to where she reappeared perched on the top of a training dummy.
 
'It can't be a coincidence that Yoshi chose to substitute with a training dummy' Togi then observed with interest. If Togi had wanted to he could have probably dashed away from the training dummy before Yoshi would have had a chance to animate it but Togi was intrigued and wanted to use these opportunity to test himself. The Young Hyuuga therefore merely took a half a step backwards as he assumed a slightly different stance. Togi then gave a small smile as the young girl formed her chakra threads, unlike most people Togi could actually see these threads glowing brightly and to his trained senses they actually seemed to be moving in slow motion as they snaked their way forwards in order to connect to the dummy.
 

As the dummy whirled to life Togi did not back off or retreat but instead held his ground. "This should do..."  Togi declared with a slight smirk as his eyes suddenly seemed to darken. Darting forwards Togi ducked under the flailing arm of the dummy. "You are in my field of divination" Togi whispered, 'Wow it feels good to say that.' He silently added as his arms flashed out at an impressive speed. (speed: 70) "Two palms" Togi declared as he two launched two palm thrusts at the midsection of the impromptu puppet his hands emitting a flash of chakra as he did so. "Four palms" Togi declared picking up the pace as he made four more strikes at the wooden torso. "Eight palms" Togi then cried his hands becoming a blur and crackling with chakra. "Sixteen palms!" The Young Hyuuga cried as he attacked again and again his eyes now a dark black colour. "Thirty two palms..." Togi began though by now he was sweating, panting slightly and feeling the strain and before he could complete the technique he let his arms drop and his shoulders slump slightly.

(Also Togi is attempting to use the eight trigrams sixty four palms technique however I'm going to use this thread to learn it so its not complete. Hope that ok that I'm using it) (Also gentle fist techniques use chakra instead of strength so I presume Togi is hitting the dummy with a chakra of 71)

Yumi watched as the Hyuuga merely ducked underneath the training dummy's attack.  He was fast.  And then Yumi's eyes widened as the bight green 'yin-yang' symbol appeared upon the ground.  Yumi may have slept through the history lecture of the boy's clan while she was at the academy, but Yumi definitely remembered their technique.  It was artistic and there was an eerie beauty to the technique's symbol.  And Togi's pokes were definitely fast and powerful.

I'm glad he's poking the dummy and not me! Yoshi thought as she tried to pull the training dummy away.

But the Hyuuga's jutsu was too fast!  He was already unleashing a barrage of palms.  A hideous splitting noise could be heard from the dummy.  Its wooden structure was failing.  And when the boy cried out 'thirty two' palms, the wooden dummy split in two along the wood's grain as if someone were splitting it with an axe.  The two pieces tumbled down upon the ground.

Yikes, I'm glad attack was against the dummy and not me!Yoshi thought as she gazed upon the aftermath.  But that attack, looks like it wore him out.  Now's my chance!

"I'm not finished, yet!" Yoshi yelled.

Yoshi jumped back and perched upon a dummy's head from the next row.  With her chakra threads she immediately attached them from the broken dummy to the dummy who's head she was just standing on unearthing it from its base.  she then stretched forth four more chakra threads and attached them to the dummies on either side of now active dummy, unearthing them as well.  Together, Yoshi was now in control of three dummies.  With the middle dummy she sent it twirling at a speed of 20 activating its padded clubs.  It's clubs would swing at Togi's chest at a speed of 40 and an impact force of 10 which would cause a nasty bruise and probably knock the wind out of the boy.  

With the other two active training dummys, Yoshi sped them around Togi's flanks spinning them like tops at a speed of 20.  Their clubs were spinning towards the boy at a speed of 40 and an impact force of 10 and were poised to hit the boy's shoulders.  They too would most likely cause a nasty bruise.

Standing back Togi took a moment to properly appreciate the destruction he had brought upon the training dummy. "Wow... never... done.... that... before..." the young Hyuuga declared between pants of breath. 'I guess the gentle fist is not so gentle...' Togi silently added.

'It's not over...' Togi then thought to himself as Yoshi promptly uprooted not one but another three of the combat dummies. Standing back up Togi then retook the taijutsu stance  that he had used at the beginning of the spar though his stance looked more sloppy as though he was tired.

Tired or not the young Hyuuga still possessed speed and as the first dummy twirled towards him the young Hyuuga ducked under the constructs flailing arm once again. Togi's victory was short lived however as soon the other two dummy's were converging on his position, their large bulky arms presenting a threat that he could not let himself get too close to. Togi however could only dodge for so long and after weaving out of the way of the strike from one automaton Togi suddenly found himself slammed in to by a powerful limb of another. In an instant Togi felt all the breath knocked out of his lungs as he was lifted off of his feet and thrown backwards by the force of the blow. Crashing back down to earth Togi rolled across the floor of training ground before skidding to a stop.

"Good one... *cough* Yoshi-chan" Togi declared after scrambling back to his feet though after doing so the young Hyuuga held his side with his right had. 'Bruised rib... that will not only slow me down but distract me aswell...' Togi self diagnosed as he winced slightly.

Without a further word Togi then made a break for it charging headlong towards the climbing wall at a speed of 25. Once he reached the climbing wall Togi did not stop but charge straight up it as he channelled chakra to his feet as he displayed just how far he had improved at the technique Yoshi herself had helped him to learn. Once he was a good way up the wall Togi stopped and began to perform a very short string of hand seals. Togi's forming of his hand seals was fast but not so fast that Yoshi would not be able to see that he formed Ox and then tiger. With this down the young Hyuuga's hands began to glow with the soft green light of the mystical palm technique. Togi then waved his hands over his bruised torso and sighed with relief.

'I need to get close if I ever hope to win but I wonder what other tricks Yoshi-chan has hidden up her sleeves' Togi thought as he remained perched halfway up the training wall waiting for the girl to make her move.

When Yoshi saw that one of the training dummies actually connected with the Hyuuga, Yoshi immediately stopped her assault.  She then hopped down off of the dummy's head that she was standing on and started to walk towards the wounded boy.

"Togi-kun, are you alri-" Yoshi began to ask.

But as soon as her words left her mouth, however, Togi was already back on his feet.  Yoshi then watched the young Hyuuga run towards the climbing wall.

I guess he still has some fight left in him! Yoshi thought as she grabbed two more dummies.

Four more chakra threads extended from her fingertips as two more training dummies were uprooted from their mounts and sprang to life.  A chakra thread now extended from each of the young girl's fingers.  Now that she was controlling the maximum amount of dummies that she could, Yoshi followed after Togi at a speed of 10. She stopped just short of the base of the climbing wall and twirled her fingers.  Her dummies then gathered in a semi circle in front of her.  They began to spin like drills and rooted themselves into the sand and formed a make-shift palisade wall.  Yoshi then peered above their heads with shifty eyes.

"What are you doing all by your lonesome?  The party is down here, silly!" Yoshi yelled at Togi with a sarcastic tone.

Yoshi then released her dummies causing her chakra threads to retreat back into her fingertips.  Yoshi quickly molded her chakra and clapped in the young boy's direction.  A rapid directional gust of wind erupted from the young girl's hands.  The wind blew with a power of 25 having a range of 5 meters.  If Togi's strength was under half of that, the boy would loose his footing surly falling to the ground.

From his perch half way up the training wall Togi took a moment to assess the situation. Yoshi had uprooted another two training dummies and now had a total of five under her control. 'I did not realise Yoshi-chan could control so many puppets at once, to be able to divide her attention between so many she must be quite skilled indeed...' Togi thought to himself. 'If this were a real life or death battle I would likely be forced to drop an exploding note at this point and activate it but the risk of injuring Yoshi-chan would be too high for a spar...' Togi silently added. 'It seems my assumption though that puppets can not climb was correct though I can not remain up here indefinitely...' Togi continued to think.

When Yoshi called up to him taunting him Togi then took a moment to think about how to respond. "I am sorry Yoshi-chan I did not realise you would miss me so much..." the young Hyuuga replied with a slight smile before quite suddenly leaping off of the wall and diving towards the ground while performing hand seals. The sudden gust of wind then caught the Genin mid jump and he was thrown backwards and slammed violently against the wall. 'Togi' hit the wall so hard that his head and limbs all slumped lifelessly before his body plummeted towards the ground. There was an almighty crack as the body hit the ground and a large split snaked its way up the wooden torso and an arm and a leg snapped clean off. The body that hit the ground was not Togi but one of the dummies that Yoshi had been controlling moments before. Togi had substituted with it some time after he had leapt from the wall!

The real Togi meanwhile had appeared where the central dummy had been planted and the young Hyuuga took advantage of the close proximity to his opponent. "I am sorry Yoshi-chan this may sting a little..." Togi declared before suddenly lunging forwards at his maximum speed (speed 60) with a two fingered jab aimed at the girls wrist. (Power 10, -5 chakra for 3 turns if hit) 'If I can just seal off the tenketsu that she uses to create the chakra threads then she will no longer have a numbers advantage...' Togi thought to himself as he launched his attack.

Yoshi was already prepared to catch the Hyuuga. She was not going to allow her friend to fall from such heights. Yoshi quickly extended her chakra threads outwards and uprooted her dummies. They would cushion the boy's fall with their padded clubs. But as soon has the training dummies caught Togi, the boy vanished in a puff of smoke. Instead Yoshi's dummies had only succeeded in catching another dummy!

The transformation jutsu! Yoshi thoguht as she glanced around trying to figure out where the boy went.


Yoshi barely noticed the Hyuuga from the corner of her eye. He was charging her location and fast!


My dummies are out of place. He's already past my defense! Yoshi thought as she grit her teeth.


Yoshi tried to duck underneath the blow but the Hyuuga was too fast. Though instead of hitting her wrist Togi hit her shoulder instead. And like the boy warned, Yoshi felt the poke sting. It was like getting stung by a wasp. The poke itself wasn't all that painful, but something about the nature of the blow lingered and caused the area to sting.

”Ow...” Yoshi muttered.


My chakra, what did he do to my chakra? Its harder to mold than before. I doubt I'll be able to use my wind release jutsu for a while! I better retreat! Yoshi thought.


Yoshi cartwheeled away at a speed of 10. As her legs came up, Yoshi tried to kick the boy in the jaw at a speed of 20 and an impact force of 10. The kick was not going to break any bones, but it might crack a tooth if his jaw wasn't already closed. With her five puppets she twirled them around so that they now formed a pentagram around her. They were spaced no more than a meter apart from each other. They began to spin in place while their clubbed arms spun violently - closing the gaps between the each of them. Yoshi began to move and as she stepped forward, so did her dummies. She then began to twirl her hands in the air and her dummies began to spin around her at a speed of 22 like the egg scrambler ride the gypsies sometimes brought with them during their traveling fairs.


Should Togi try to charge Yoshi again, he would most certainly be met with with great kinetic force. Yoshi then advanced his position at a speed of 10.


A great defense can also make for a great offense as well! Yoshi thought with a smirk.

'Missed but atleast I still managed to seal a tenketsu, just not the one I needed to stop her using her puppets...' Togi thought to himself as soon as Yoshi managed to duck down and cause him to strike the wrong point. The young Hyuuga then took moment to focus in with his chakra senses and study the girl, to the Hansho Byakugan Yoshi appeared as glowing blue form though when he focussed closer the chakra network revealed itself before him like a network of tiny little rivers flowing throughout the girls entire body and all along these rivers were tiny little brightly glowing wells that were the tenketsu. In one of these wells in the girls shoulder Togi could now detect the presence of his own chakra sealing it shut. 'Just one or two more and I could prevent her from being able to use her entire arm...' Togi thought to himself. 'She will most likely be rather cautious now though...'
 
Detecting movement coming from the girl Togi quickly realised that Yoshi was bringing her leg up likely going for a kick. 'Bad idea Yoshi-chan' Togi thought to himself as he brought his hands forwards at a speed of 53 and deflected the kick with the palm of his hands. The kick briefly made Togi wince from the force of the impact and his hands go numb however in return Togi channelled chakra to his hands hoping to seal of another tenketsu in the girls foot (Gentle fist: heel palm -5 chakra and -5 ap if succesful).
 
Letting the girl and her makeshift puppets back away and form defensive positions Togi instead dashed to the side and began to pick up speed (speed 25). The young Hyuuga then began to circle the defensive formation of puppets keeping a safe distance away while he picked up speed. ’You might have the advantage in numbers Yoshi-chan but can those old training dummies keep up…’ Togi silently declared.

(ooc: Are you using improved stats and techniques that you have learnt since the beginning of this thread? If so I might start using some too…)

(OOC:  Edited my speeds in last post.  Got my speed and chakra mixed up!  Using stats/techniques when our characters first entered topic.  Stats are as follows Health 15, Chakra 20/30, Stamina 20, Speed 20, Strength 20)

Instead of Togi a nice kick to the face, Yoshi felt her feet get redirected with Togi's hands.  Togi landed another poke which initially tickled more than anything, but a moment later when she was amoungst and operating the training dummies, a sharp pain shot up though her leg.  It felt as if a senbon had impaled her and felt very much like the pain in her shoulder.  Once again her chakra ability to mold chakra was restricted.  Yoshi increased her puppet's speeds to a speed of 40.

Togi-kun isn't playing around anymore.  He's in total control... Yoshi realized.

Yoshi watched as Togi circled her defensive puppet formation.  His body looked similar to a one of Yoshi's flip-book drawings.  Every time Togi passed behind one of the spinning training dummies, Togi would appear on the other side and in a different pose.  It was a particularly odd site to see.  Yoshi, on the other hand, looked fairly ridiculous as well.  Yoshi had her hands up in the air and twirled them around her head.  Her fingers were twitching as fast as she could twitch them.  It was very rhythmic.  It felt as if she were dancing - dancing like a belly dancer.   

"Hehehehehe......" Yoshi laughed uncontrollably.

I can't keep this up.  Sooner or later my hands will get tired and I'll be standing wide open.  I cannot run away, Togi-kun is faster than me.  He'll just charge my position and poke me again and again, Yoshi thought as she watched the Hyuuga circle her position.

Yoshi lowered her hands and unattached her chakra threads.  The sudden loss in inputs caused the training dummies to spin uncontrollably in all directions.  They spun at a speed of 40 and had an impact force of 10.  If left alone, they would eventually decrease in speed and topple over in the warm sand unless they hit something beforehand.

Yoshi then shrugged, "I concede."  After a short pause to rub out the places Togi had poked her, Yoshi spoke again with a labored smile, "You're simply too fast for me.  And those eyes of yours seem to see through my tricks.  Instead of dragging this out and getting hurt more, I know when I've been bested."

Togi kicked up the pace and began sprinting around the defensive formation of training dummies at a speed of 50, he could feel the wind whipping in to his face due to the speed at which he was moving but fortunately such things did not impede the blind Hyuuga's vision. Togi became aware that the speed of the dummies had increased aswell but fortunately he still outpaced them though not by much.

When Yoshi began to cackle uncontrollably Togi cocked an eyebrow in curiosity. 'Just what is Yoshi-chan up to  I can not sense any movement in her chakra to suggest she is about to use a jutsu...' Togi thought to himself as he focussed in on the girls chakra signature searching for any sign of why she might be laughing so uncontrollably.

When Yoshi suddenly released her hold of the chakra threads Togi was somewhat taken by surprise as the the mannequins spiralled out of control in random directions. Skidding to a stop Togi just managed to stop moving before one of the makeshift puppets turned weapons spiralled past just infront of him.

Togi was then taken by surprise for the second time in quick succession when when out of nowhere the puppet user suddenly conceded. It took another few seconds for Togi to realise that he had therefore 'won'.  Smiling slightly Togi slowly walked towards the young girl as he performed two quick hand seals, before he reached the girl Togi's hands were glowing with medical chakra. "Here let me..." Togi exclaimed as he waved his hand first over the girls shoulder before crouching down and doing the same to the girl's foot allowing his chakra to seep in to the the points that he had struck. The medical chakra would not only heal any injuries that Yoshi had sustained but would restore her energy levels aswell (50 AP restored).

"Your wrong..." Togi suddenly declared once he had finished healing the girl. "These eyes see nothing..."  he added in a slightly somber tone. "And besides while I might be faster than you at the moment I was going to find it hard to get past your army..." Togi declared as he waved a hand towards the haphazardly strewn training dummies.

"Do you think you could maybe animate one of those dummies again... if you don't mind I'd like to see if I can actually properly perform the technique that I used to destroy the first one without stopping halfway through..." Togi then asked.

"I meant your byakugan, silly!" Yoshi said while pointing to her eyes and sticking her tongue out.  "Thanks for the aid.  Those were some nasty techniques you used."

After further inspection Yoshi's arm and leg felt fine.  There were still two tiny dots which were now bruises.  They would have to heal the old fashioned way and would serve as a reminder, at least until they went away, that she needed to train harder.  After brushing the sand out of her clothes, Yoshi listened to Togi's request.  She was surprised to learn that his attack had been cut short - that there was more to the technique than what she had first seen.  Yoshi then wondered why the craftsmen did not use stronger materials for the training dummies.  It seemed to her that they got destroyed rather easily.  She then wondered just how much ryo was spent replacing dummies in the training grounds.  It seemed that at least a dozen of them were destroyed in a day if not more.  Yoshi began to count on her fingers for a moment.

Lord Kazekoge must have a lot of money.  The Yoshinaga clan will never run out of business! Yoshi thought with a smile.

Yoshi nodded, "Sure Togi-kun, I can reanimate one for you - what's left of them anyway."

Yoshi walked over to one of the fallen training dummies and stretched out her arm and extended her chakra threads.  It creaked and rattled as it picked itself up out of the sand.  Yoshi then walked it back to the young Hyuuga.  It stood at attention with a blank stare that looked out beyond the horizons - unaware of it impending doom.  

"Okay Togi-kun, whenever you're ready," Yoshi informed him as she walked to a safe distance.
