Toil & Trouble (P/IO/NK)

"It is my pleasure you two," Wolf quipped. "Keep your wits about you next time and stay out of trouble."

Wolf felt as if she were scolding two of her academy students. In fact, her tone had accidently slipped from authoritative anbu operative to caring teacher for just a moment. The moment was so brief she hoped the twins had missed it. That being said, it did not matter much if they missed it, Wolf had noticed it. She had noticed the bit of Ashi breaking through her thorny facade. It was a rare occurrence, but it did happen every so often.

"Have a nice day."

There is was again, a crack in the facade. Too kind, she was far too kind. However, none of that mattered at the moment. For now she simply nodded once to the twins and turned her back on them. In a blur of motion she gone. There were other things to attend to and Dante did not appear to be doing anything too suspicious. Perhaps she could catch a few hours of sleep before the next routine patrol.
