Back with a Friend (Dachi)
Thu Apr 21, 2016 8:11 pm
Salzem and Dachi made it to the gates relatively quickly with little conversation after that spirit-talk. The white wolf simply didn't want to anymore. What the kid had said to him had disturbed him on a deeper level than one would expect, especially because it was coming from someone who'd either hadn't or just barely reached their double-digits. Then, there was another problem. The kazekage usually came to the gates himself to great the new people, size them up and let them in with his leadership athority. He didn't think Lord Kazekage had been keeping that close-a-tab on him that he knew about Salzem's wolven state. He wouldn't count it out though. After the Kazekage nearly killed him, he thought the man capeable of nearly anything and, considering it was well within his rights and power to spy on his own people, it didn't seem too far-fetched. Even if this was the case, it was likely the Sand-lord would require some amount of explanation, maybe a rehash of their old plans. Perhaps he would trash the old idea entirely, deciding that, with Salzem's new, monstrous form, he wouldn't be accepted by his old village. Maybe he would do that. Salzem didn't know. And so, The wolf milled about the open gates with his little child follower close by, waiting for someone to notice him. The regular guards weren't about, which was strange. The gates seemed unattended, at least from down here. Was everyone taking a break or something? Regardless of this unusual turn of events, Salzem wouldn't walk inside as that would leave little Dachi all by himself out there. He couldn't allow that.

It is a lovely Suna after noon, the sun is high in the sky, and many people are out and about visiting the different shopping districts. The higher ranked ninja however are leaping from roof top to roof top, delivering important information to and from the Kazekage building, giving him updates on what is going on within the village, such of food storage, water, and other economical things that he must keep up with. While others are heading to the administration building to debrief after missions, or to pick up a new one. The walls are full of live having no less then 8 guards at each gate, while others are patrolling around the tops of the wall. Anyone wanting to go in or out of these gates would be able to witness the security of the village, making most feel very safe, while bandits and other criminals cower in fear, avoiding the village all together, as they know what would happen if they tried to cause trouble.
The Kazekage of this village when he is not within his office signing paper work is walking through the village, making sure that everyone is happy, and that no one would have any resentment toward him, or the higher ups of the village, such as the elders. This particular day he is strolling through the middle of the village, allowing him to witness the very large wolf like creature that is running into the village from the gates at a quickened pace. Knowing that this is Salzem, the ninja that Koroshi is trying to protect he takes interest in this, and begins to walk toward him casually, next to him however was a boy, this boy for the most part is unknown as he has never seen him before, not in the current list of people living or visiting Suna, or in the bingo book. With this in mind Koroshi takes it as either a child that was abandon, or someone that Sal has captured during a mission, either way Koroshi has been meaning to speak with Salzem about his new form, and now seems like as good as time as any. "Salzem, how have you been? and who is your friend?" Koroshi says with his normal smile as he approaches

It would seem that Ryu had gone unnoticed on his giant phoenix in the sky. The Suna, sun was high in the sky and typically that was a deterrent for keeping people from looking up. Looking down to the ground he could see a giant white fuzz ball was moving towards the gates. He had flown on Fawkes a few times now and was getting better at registering what things were when they only looked like shapes. “Hey Fawkes that looks like Salzem and someone else besides him, can we get a little closer?” The bird began its descent to which another person had come into view. ”Do you just want me to drop you off onto the ground, Ryu?” The divine bird asked as it maneuvered to not drop the boy on top of them.
“Yeah, that’s fine and thanks for helping with my guard duty. I kind of wanted to talk about some stuff, but duty calls.” With that Ryu would climb from the bird’s back and to its claws where the bird would get about ten feet from the ground where the boy would then jump. He would land slightly behind Salzem and the other kid as the other figure came from the opposite direction.
“Hey, Salzem wait up…” (Running at speed 100) Ryu gasped as he saw clearly who the other figure was. Knowing that Salzem was no threat to the village the genin stopped in his tracks to bow to his village leader. “Hello, Lord Kazekage.” The boy muttered as his idol stand before him. He made sure his headband was straightened onto his arm before looking back up.
(Just a heads up Fawkes is about 16 feet long from tail to beak, with a wingspan about 24 feet.)

Looking almost like a small cloud floating across the sand, Dachi followed Salzem as fast as his small legs could carry him, his white robes flapping in the wind as he ran, until the wolf stopped short (assuming that Salzem does stop upon seeing the Kage), and Dachi found himself running straight into the wolf's back.
Poking his head around from the back of the great wolf, Dachi could see two people, both fist addressing Salzem, and then the second addressing the first. He silently thought them all to look strange, though of course this was coming from a boy who had met very few people in his life.
Dachi glanced from Salzem to the man that the second had called "Kazekage". He had heard the wolf say this name earlier, though could not remember what significance it had. Perhaps he was the leader of this strange village in the sand? Fire man didn't recognize him, and so Dachi was unsure of whether he was a friend, or not. So, Dachi looked to Salzem, wondering what was to happen.
(Sorry that's short, I haven't had time to post till today, and didn't want to keep everyone waiting)

The white Lycan was actually quite surprised how little of a time it took for people to start showing up, specifically the Kazekage and Ryu. He bowed his head low in respect at he leader who housed him before answering his inquiry.
"Decent, sir. I have someone who needs your attention more than me." He stated, a twinge of confusion in his voice. Did the Kazekage not notice his transformation? Salzem's massive wolven bulk was probably harder to miss than a naked man running across an open field. Maybe it was that he decided to ignore his wolven shape. Maybe not. Regardless, He pushed Dachi in front of him and toward the Kazekage, presenting the fruit of his effort.
"While I was out, I came across this kid in the desert. He belongs to no one. Has no family, has no clan, has no village. He's completely alone and has no caretaker. Figured he'd be safer here than out there." He gestured back where he came from, the seemingly endless, shifting sands. Although Salzem had been deprived of water of water for several hours out in this blistering heat, it didn't make him stupid yet. He noticed the distance that Koroshi kept from him, as if he'd suddenly and spontaneously lash out at him. As amusing as the leader of a village judging him on his macabre appearance, it was also slightly depressing. FOR A MOMENT, Salzem had thought Koroshi was different. How wrong he was. Maybe he'd slap himself for his misplaced judgment later, once this kid had a semi-permanent home. Of course, the wolf was aware that there'd be a lengthy investigation regarding Dachi, but he honestly didn't think they'd find anything. There wouldn't be much to find beyond confirming his name, age and gender. At least, as far as Salzem's tainted mind knew. Salzem would acknowledge Ryu with a quick glance, but not much more than that. Dachi's safety came first and foremost.

Not keeping any form of distance between them as Koroshi continues forward, walking to aa comfortable 5 feet away he looks down at Dachi "Wow that's horrible. Do you have a name? or do you remember where you came from?" Koroshi says to the young boy that Salzem is looking after, Koroshi's tone and appearance is not threatening at all, some people however would be a bit unnerved to see a huge wolf like creature clutching a boy in the middle of the village, however Koroshi knows who the person is under the wolf, and hopes that he can bring him back out. He does not know why he chose to change into a form like this, or why he would think it is a good idea, especially when he was wanting to return back to the Leaf village. These thoughts flow through his mind as he listens and waits for replies from either of them, telling him the boys name, and where he might have come from. This information is needed if the boy is to stay here, as he will need to make a profile for him, listing his name, and listing where he was from in case anyone of his family members are looking for him.

Ryu got off of his knees and let his kazekage speak, staying quiet so that his leader could question Salzem and the other mysterious stranger. As it seemed the kid was homeless and had no place to go, it seemed that Salzem had brought him to the village. Salzem wasn't the monster he thought he was and even if he wouldn't let people tell him, he still wasn't. Approaching the kazekage the genin stood besides him in case he asked for assistance or anything else.
The genin knew his kage wouldn't need any help fighting, but that doesn't mean he would just leave him there. Besides Koroshi might need a cup of coffee or some papers, that Ryu would go fetch as soon as he was ordered to.

Dachi was now quite certain that a Kage was a village leader; the name was too familiar for it to be anything else. However, he assumed that as fire man did not speak up in his mind, the spirit had no memory of the one that stood before them then.
Squinting as the older man spoke, Dachi took a moment to process what he said.
"I uh," he said, leaning backwards to look up into the man's eyes. "I'm Dachi."
The man had asked about where he had come from as well though, and Dachi was not sure how to answer. He did not want to appear a small, weak nobody, but yet that is what he was. He could easily say that he was from one of the major villages, but even if he were to for some strange reason, in truth, he didn't know any of their names. He was too young to remember the stories he had heard, and he had never even so much as visited any of them, except the one which he stood outside of then.
"I come from," Dachi said, pausing, his voice changing to a more depressed tone. "No where, really."
Any other might not understand why he wished to come from a known village, but to Dachi, a small ninja with no rank behind his name, he took it as a form of prestige and fame, small as it may be. He knew that he was surrounded by shinobi that could kill him with a finger if they wanted to, and it made him feel inferior, to not even come from a village.

Salzem watched as Koroshi drew closer, more at ease with Salzem's form than he first anticipated. Maybe he got over it or maybe Dachi's presence kicked in his inner father instinct. Whatever the reason, Salzem would feel more relaxed as well, watching over the two as they interacted. So far, everything seemed routine enough, however, the white wolf felt there was more that needed to be said.
"I felt I should also mention that upon offering him a place here as a permanent resident, he showed some kind of apprehension to the idea. He seemed to have much more liking to traveling with me." Though Salzem couldn't possibly begin to fathom why. "I'm coming with this to you, Lord Kazekage, because you've been kind enough to allow me residence here when I clearly didn't deserve it. I believe you have the authority to make the call whether he should or not."

Seeing Ryu approach his side Koroshi would give him a reassuring smile of the situation letting him know that everything is alright. That is when the boy begins to speak, Koroshi catching the hint of shyness from him as he looks up to meet his eye "Dachi huh? That is a fine name" Koroshi says keeping his friend look as he watches the emotions mix within the boys eyes, he can tell that he is troubled, or maybe embarrassed about something, although he cannot put his finger on what. Soon however that mystery is solved when he says that he is from no where, Koroshi picking up that he was not part of a major village so he may not feel that his place of living was worth talking about, that or that he traveled around without having any form of home to speak of. Wanting to make him feel better regardless Koroshi would begin to speak again "No where? so you just appeared out of thin air?" Koroshi chuckles before continuing "Everywhere is important, and has a meaning to exist, however if you don't feel like talking about it now, I am not going to force you"
After this Koroshi would hear Salzem speak, Koroshi looking up to meet his eyes in order to give him attention when he speaks , hearing that Dachi was worried about staying here might mean that he was either mistreated by a major village, or is not comfortable with a large group of people, however once he stays here for a few days Koroshi is comfortable that he will begin to fit in no problem. Salzem's words continue however, bringing up the fact that he is allowing him to stay within the village, and how he does not think he deserves it, to which Koroshi would simply shake his head "Salzem we have talked about this, with your caring nature and need to protect those around you it was an easy choose to make. Even now you are displaying those emotions by bringing Dachi here to the village. As for any fears regarding staying Dachi, I can assure you that this is a very friendly and nice place to live if you choose to, however the choice is up to you, as I am not going to force you to stay" Koroshi says, his eyes shifting to look back at Dachi when he begins to speak with him
