An Unexpected Encounter

The clone waited for the attack to come near, before he clapped his hands together sending out a gust of wind that would probably knock Sakaiza over. “That was the wind style: gale palm. It can be used to deflect incoming attacks or knock people over.” He let the kid stand up, this wasn’t just Ryu trying to hurt someone or bully them it was teaching something that everyone in the sand village should do for one another. Ryu also recognized the attack that Sakaiza had tried to use, he had witnessed Togi use it once.

The form the wolf was taking on was not an amusing one, it was scary the red aura and growling. He formed the seals for the substitution jutsu and prepared to exchange a dummy a short distance away with himself. When Salzem charged forward Ryu made the switch leaving a straw dummy in his place. “Whoa what was that?” The genin called out from across the field as his clone only watched the wolf.


The clone looked at Salzem and made some hand seals. Once the seals were done a cyclone shot from the doubles mouth and rushed toward Salzem. If the wolf were to move the clone would change the direction of the twister to follow the lycanthrope.

As Sakaiza lunged towards Ryu, he thought he would actually land the blow on Ryu. As his palm flew towards Ryu, his eyes detected a quick movement from Ryu. It was nothing but a clap. But as soon as that clap was completed, Sakaiza was repelled in direction. Since he was in the air, he was forced in a direction opposite of his intended trajectory, sending him back to the spot where he leaped from. As he traveled throughout the air, he tucked his body and ended up backflipping a single time through the air. In the split seconds he was in the air with his back facing Ryu, he performed three series of handseals which would not be directly visible to Ryu. 

When his body would rotate so that his legs were beneath him but still in the air and his chest faced Ryu there would be a second Sakaiza falling directly beside him. When they would approach the ground, they extended their legs and caught their fall with them. Upon landing he took a second to reflect on the jutsu which Ryu stated was the Gale Palm. "It was so quick, yet quite effective. It seems easy enough to repeat" he confidently said briefly before moving on to another approach. 

Both Sakaiza's ran forward, one in front of the other. The real Sakaiza would be in the front. As they ran, Sakaiza halted abruptly, dropped and squatted with his back hunched over. The clone would use the real Sakaiza's back as a pedestal to leap off of straight ahead in the direction of Ryu, which would serve as an obstruction of Ryu's view of the real Sakaiza. As the clone leaped off Sakaiza's back, Sakaiza would send three air bullets(25 power, 35 speed) hurling straight towards Ryu. He figured that Ryu would move fast enough to effortlessly destroy his clone, but that did not matter, for neither the air bullets nor the clone's leap were the main attack. Upon the final air bullet being released, Sakaiza immediately began charging Ryu again(22 speed), this time with hopes that he would finally be able to close the distance between the two.

If his ploy were successful, Ryu would be too distracted by the clone and bullets to recognize Sakaiza had been charging him. From then, Sakaiza would rush Ryu(44 speed) following his run, with his hands darting forward with intentions of delivering two strikes(64 speed, 42 chakra, 16 strength) to the clone's tenketsu points to begin the 64 palms technique. These strikes were targeting Ryu's right chest to disrupt the chakra flow in his right arm. If these strikes would make contact, Sakaiza would immediately follow up with 4 palms, 8 palms, 16 palms, 32 palms then 64 palms subsequently, each targeting tenketsu along the clone's body, which should potentially damage the clone's chakra network.

The wolf roared in frustration as his fist ripped through the substitution dummy with incredible ease, making it look as if he were smashing though paper rather than straw. The Aura still danced around him, playing on his body, growing deeper and deeper as Salzem plunged into darker and darker reservoirs of his emotions. He drew on that power and he ripped his hand from the dummy, tearing it to shreds in the process. He hated and hated. The rage and anger bubbled at the surface of his skin, practically dripping from his face (or more specifically: the eyes). How he wanted to direct this rage at Ryu, rip him apart into strips of bloody, fleshy bits. He was so ANGRY! Yet, he did not. His rage was simply a catalyst to his power. He had to remember that. It brought out his strength, not controlled it. He had to remember that. He had too...

Salzem growled louder, snapping his teeth in the kid's direction, the aura around his body now causing the sand around him to rise. Only a few grains, but it was still present. His rage built further, reaching new peaks. The rope that was his restraint was straining heavily now, as evidenced by the nerves around the sides of his head and jaw becoming more and more evident. And then... he was gone. Or at least, what seemed to be. Salzem had used a body flicker, increasing his speed to 255 as he circled behind Ryu, most likely going beyond any reaction time he had in store. With that, the enraged white wolf would strike again, closing the small distance between them instantly. He'd cock his arm back and throw his punch at Ryu's back, an uppercut again intended to knock him out completely (speed 205, Strength 60). After this attempt, either success or faliure, the aura would disperse almost instantly, leaving Salzem on one knee, breathing heavily from the effort.

Watching as the Sakaiza did his stunt with the clone he saw the boy use the bird hand seal. Using his own jutsu using the bird hand seal, four air bullets came from the genin’s mouth. Three of them were aimed at the incoming air bullets which Ryu knew were only illusions. “Remember regular clones can’t use jutsu.” He then focused onto the only real Sakaiza who was charging in. The ninja moved backwards at top speed and released a couple balls of fire from his mouth using the phoenix flower. The fire came in at a slow speed, so it should have been easy to dodge. With a training exercise it was good to give the opponent something fun to do without trying to kill them. “That fire is hot, I would avoid it.”


It seemed that Salzem wasn’t too happy to have only hit a training dummy, so it wasn’t all that surprising when he used body flicker and slammed into the real Ryu’s back. While it wasn’t surprising and certainly did hurt, as the kid was launched forward and sent rolling into the sand. He tried to breath for a moment, but the kick to the back had certainly stunned him for the moment. The shadow clone moved to defend the original while manipulating the twister to slam into Salzem. “What was that attack?” The clone called out this time as the real one would certainly like to know.

(64 Palms was not successful, so remaining AP is 100. Also, the real Sakaiza released the air bullets. The clone just jumped off of Sakaiza and lunged towards you to create a diversion. Never did the clone use any jutsu lol. Since the clone's body was technically in front of the air bullets being launched, I'm just going to assume that your air bullets hit 1) the clone 2 and 3) the first and second air bullets that Sakaiza shot towards you. Since the third would be the last and you created spacing, I think it's safe to assume that one of your fireballs would contact the final air bullet and would explode. Also, you kinda didn't say how many fire balls you shot out at me. I know the max with the PFJ is 6, but to me a couple means 2. But I'll assume you shot 3 with stats of 20 speed, 20 power just for good measure! :D )

As Sakaiza rushed forward to deliver an attack, Ryu had already countered Sakaiza's assault with attacks of his own. He completely disregarded Sakaiza' clone which lunged towards him. Sakaiza expected as much, for just a simple clone would be unable to harm Ryu, which is exactly what Ryu called out. In turn, Ryu would release air bullets of his own. The first decimated Sakaiza's clone, and the second two would meet and destroy Sakaiza's air bullets. However, that left the fourth air bullet remaining. Sakaiza, still running would be roughly 6 feet behind the final air bullet. "It seems as if you specialize in long distance attacks, you're really making it tough for me to close in the distance to use my taijutsu!" Sakaiza exclaimed in a friendly tone while still running. 

Yet it seemed as if Ryu was always a step ahead of Sakaiza, or this was just a difficult match up for the young genin. He would need to be able to eliminate a significant amount of distance before he would actually be able to get an attack of Ryu, but it seemed as if it weren't happening. However, with Ryu's constant evasions moving backwards, the two would be approaching the main battle between the real Ryu and Salzem. Sakaiza was fine with this, figuring that eventually he would be fighting with both of the highly skilled shinobi. 

Ryu released three fire balls from his mouth, the first making direct contact with Sakaiza's quicker, more powerful air bullet. The result was a mid-sized explosion of fire, roughly a meter and a half in radius. Thus generated a mid-sized cloud of smoke as a result. Sakaiza, noting the cloud of smoke, took this to his advantage. He leaped over the cloud of smoke, tucking his legs to just clear the explosion yet still feeling the singeing heat beneath him. As a result, he also leaped over the second fireball which would continue flying until it hit the ground and exploded behind Sakaiza. 

As Sakaiza landed, the third fire ball was headed straight for him, although about a meter in front of him. Sakaiza would simply juke out the fireball by quickly pivoting his left foot and leaping out and to the right of the fireball, which would sail just past him, giving him a feeling of the intense heat exerting off of it. Sakaiza did not stopping running after this juke out, for now he was much closer to the source of the fireballs, having evaded the the attacks successfully. He would again lunge towards Ryu, this time sending a kick with his left foot aiming for the chest of the shadow clone(Speed 44, strength 16). If he either struck or missed the clone, he would have an immediate back up plan on how to recover from how Ryu would react to the kick.

While trying to catch his breath, Salzem was able to duck out of the way of the twister (135), causing him to jump a few feet back. As the vortex dissipated, the werewolf glared at Ryu, less than happy that he had to cheat to regain his vantage point. Perhaps there was no cheating in real combat and that any self respecting ninja would seek to exploit any and all weaknesses, but to Salzem, using the clone that was fighting Sakaiza to strike him was a low blow. A cheap shot. Something like that dug into his nerves. Deeply. When the clone asked what that attack was, Salzem growled an answer, his eyes aflame even if his hands were no longer.

"What, can you not keep up? Here I thought you could provide me a challenge..." His voice ringed with disdain and with the remnants of the dark emotions that granted him that temporary boost in power. He got to his feet, though his body screamed at him for more rest. The pain that arched through his body was intense, but nothing that he hadn't felt before. Along with the burning in his muscles, there was still a seathing rage that existed in the back of his mind, tugging at him to speak. It told him to lash out, to make Ryu pay for using such a cheap tactic. And so he did.

"Guess you figured you needed help? Since when did you let clones fight for you?"

(Just a heads up guys there are two clones. One is with the original fighting Salzem. The one fighting Salzem is controlling the twister. The other is training with Giichi.)

"Since I learned the jutsu." Ryu said wiping spit from his mouth with his sleeve, while answering the wolf's question. "Jutsu, are jutsu there is no cheating in training only learning." He pointed to his clone who was now in the process of bringing the cyclone around while Ryu grabbed Sakaiza and pushed him away from the attack. He let the kick hit him in the chest, but it didn't seem to effect him. (push is at power 35, speed 125) He pushed Sakaiza into the clone who caught him and moved him away from the incoming twister.

With Ryu being no longer stunned by the kick he turned around and shot a flame bullet at Salzem hoping he would dodge. If he did the flame would shoot into the cyclone, causing it to turn red with the wind increasing the strength of the fire. Inside the wind would appear a great dragon. He would then call out the name of the attack. "Scorch Release: Dragon Cyclone!" As the awesome display happened the fire and cyclone disappeared. "Woah, what happened to my dragon?"  He asked his clone as they both moved away.


(This is just me trying to make a collaboration jutsu with myself, don't worry about damage for right now. I am still working out the specifics.)

Sakaiza finally landed his first strike on Ryu, regardless of how weak it was. He smiled lightly knowing that he was actually able to land a blow on his opponent. As slight of an attack as it was, Sakaiza now had morale. His foot planted upon the chest of Ryu yet in his grasp, then began to use his momentum to strike with his opposite foot. As his foot came up both feet would be off the ground, yet Ryu pushed Sakaiza aside sending him flying straight towards the clone who would be prepared to catch him. But as Sakaiza had originally brought his leg up to strike Ryu, a rotational moment was created. Additionally, Ryu's driving force of pushing Sakaiza off of him propelled Sakaiza in a rotational forward direction towards the clone. Sakaiza utilized this motion as his body was forced toward the clone to serve as an attack to the clone. He quickly brought his hands up to the crown of his head, met them together and extended only two of his finger tips forward which were pointed towards Ryu's clone. The best way to describe this unorthodox technique was something like a flying, spinning tenketsu needle directed at what Sakaiza would hope to be a tenketsu point along Ryu's clone(Using the average of your push power and speed to serve as the resulting speed of Sakaiza's propelling towards the clone; 80 Speed + 10 from Tenketsu Needle = 90 Speed, 50 power)

If this were to connect as Sakaiza crashed into the clone, which was about to catch him. Sakaiza would successfully dealt a significant blow to clone, even sealing one of the potential tenketsu point. However, if this move were to connect, Sakaiza and the clone would likely be caught in the cyclone that the clone was trying to move him out of the way of. Therefore, upon a successful connection of the technique, Sakaiza would attempt to catch his fall by planting his feet on the ground and immediately leaping out of harm's way. It was a risky technique, but Sakaiza was willing to risk it to at least deal damage to his opponent. 

If the move failed however, he would simply just be caught by Ryu and moved out of harm's way from the cyclone. It seemed to be like a win - win situation with risk on one side of that scenario.

"Only learning...." Salzem growled to himself as he reached out a hand to catch the small fireball. The iron gloves that encased his claws began to glow an ominous red. The glow stemmed from the many illegible runes that dotted the steel. When the fire touched his glove, the rune's glow would wash over the flame, reducing it's power by a good 25 points and effectively making it useless. He remembered how he used to punch fire back in Konoha. It was a good memory he didn't deserve. Not really. The cyclone would rage behind him, but was no longer a threat really. Just like Ryu and his attacks. Not really threats. The flame would splash across his palm, but quickly fizzed out with nothing left to sustain it. The chakra had been chiseled away, leaving only the natural elements around to sustain it and even they deemed the fire unworthy of existence. Go figure. Once again, Salzem may have been a scary, monster of a wolf, but he was no fool. With that new clone in the game, he wouldn't know how much the tables will turn. He decided to stay where he was, allowing Ryu to come to him. Sometimes, kicking the crap out of prey demanded they make a mistake to make your next move that much easier. He REALLY wanted to crush Ryu for changing the game. He felt the unnatural, yet quite pleasing temptation to bash him into unconsciousness. He knew just how it'd go too. Perfectly. Seamlessly. Brutally. And He'd probably laugh all the while. Maybe that should scare him. It doesn't. Not really. Ryu will be getting everything he deserves. Eventually.

As the clone noticed the incoming attack from the by he was trying to rescue he dodged the fingers of the boy. From his battles with Togirama he began to notice a pattern with their styles of taijutusu. "Your a Hyuuga right, my teammate fights the exact same way." After that the clone tried to grab the boys wrist at speed 125, power 35 and then hold onto him. Once that was done he would use the sand gale, to sent the kid flying in the direction he wanted him to go before. (Speed 135, Power 20)

Salzem seems pretty upset about me using clone, should I up all of speeds and chakra levels using wind glaive on all of us. The use rasengan. No, that would ruin the training and change the flow. It seemed the wolf wouldn't let his cyclone do something awesome, he caught the flame bullet with his glove and crushed it. "If you want me to stop using clones just ask." The genin snapped his fingers and the two clones dissipated. "Sakaiza probably wants to join our fight at this point and I think you can teach him, much more than I can." 


He waited for the other sand ninja to come over he wasn't about to just run at Salzem, he knew that the wolf would come for him first though. If the wolf were to approach Ryu would prepare to use the body flicker and send himself backwards to keep a distance from both taijutsu users.
