Sakaiza's Endless Training
Tue May 10, 2016 1:25 am
Today would be a long one for Sakaiza. With the recent battles and spars that he found himself in, he saw the ease of being injured in the heat of battle and how it could take its toll on a participant. Slightly out of fear, he decided that it would be optimal for him to learn some medical jutsu in order to protect himself and his comrades. He really liked his team, Nobu and Giichi, for they all seemed to have their strengths. Although they had only completed one mission together, Sakaiza was impressed with how each conducted themselves. Notably, he was satisfied with the slight amount of teamwork that was conducted by the team but still how effective it was. As Sakaiza had caught a kunai, he immediately tossed it to Giichi who was able to use it to dispatch an enemy. Meanwhile Nobu evened the odds better for Sakaiza, allowing Sakaiza to quickly and easily take out the other two bandits who had been attacking him. Reflecting on this recollection of his, he knew the way he dealt damage to his enemy was very possible for an enemy of superior ability to dish out worse damage to him and his team. Therefore, Sakaiza wished to be able to alleviate any injuries that his team or he would come across.
Beginning his day, he made his way to Sunagakure No Sato’s hospital. While he made his way to the hospital, he considered the fight he had with Ryu and Salzem. He knew the two of them would best him, but he still had tried his best to keep up with them. With the amount of training he had done in the past, he knew it was likely that he would better be suited to fight them again now, but they could still deal significant damage to him. He remembered the blows that the two did him, especially the immense strength that Salzem had. Just the simple back hand that he dished out to Sakaiza was more than painful enough to deal him damage, but he was still likely holding back. Therefore, Sakaiza would need to increase his ability as well as learning jutsu that could save his life rather than simply defending it.
Upon arrival at the hospital, he opened the large glass door. And walked into the main corridor. He continued to the front desk and waited in line. He was third. The person at the head of line seemed to be complaining to the receptionist about how long he had been in the waiting room sitting in the chair, yet there seemed to be nothing truly wrong with him. There were people in much more fatal condition than what the man had been in, and that seemed to be reason enough for why he was in the waiting room for so long. The person just ahead of Sakaiza was one of those people in critical condition. He had been suffering from what appeared to be contusion, yet was strong enough to carry himself all the way to the hospital and silently await aid from the hospital. When the receptionist had finally dismissed the person at the head of the line, the second man stepped up explained his situation. He told the receptionist that he was fine with waiting and could deal with the pain he was suffering just fine, so long as he was eventually helped by the hospital itself. The receptionist smiled, nodded due to the man’s pleasantness and brought a doctor out to see him immediately. Following this, Sakaiza stepped forward and greeted the woman. Truthfully, she was beautiful, likely around Sakaiza’s age as well. So beautiful, that Sakaiza had completely forgotten the purpose of his visit. She was short, brunette and stunning features. Full cheeks, bubbly eyes and a smile that would warm Sakaiza’s insides. It seemed as if Sakaiza had been love struck as he approached the receptionist with his woo turned on high.
“Say girl, how are you doing? You are the woman that I’m really pursuing and I’d like to get to know you, can you give me your name? If you jot that down, I’ll give you mine in exchange.” He said in a rhythmic style, almost as if it had been planned out. As he said so, his eyes were locked with the woman’s, hoping that she’d feel something for him. Instead she simply brushed Sakaiza aside and asked him what he wanted. Disheartened due to her quick rejection, Sakaiza hung his head low. “Well I’m Sakaiza, and since you don’t seem like chatting I won’t waste any of my time. I need to train with a medical shinobi. Can you set that up for…say, now?” he said in a monotone. He was disheartened and thus uninterested by the receptionist, and immediately remembered and regurgitated the intent of his trip.
The receptionist was only trying to talk business. She grabbed a clipboard from underneath the desk and scanned through the list of available medical shinobi for instructional purposes. She finally came across a name, stood up and then continued to the back of the reception office. When she would return, she instructed him to sit down and await his name to be called. It seemed as if a millennium had passed while he waited, so much so that he began to count the individual seconds that went on and one: 1850. When he finally reached this number, a medical shinobi stepped out from the back room. “Sakaiza …” he called out while approaching the one person in the waiting room whose head would shift to the calling of his name.
The man was tall, probably only ten years older than he himself, and had a muscular build. “I’ll be instructing you today.” He said while now near to Sakaiza, extending his hand for a shake. Sakaiza rose to his feet and gripped the man’s hand. Shaking it he let out, “Well you’ve already got my name, so what’s yours?” Sakaiza let out, well aware of the fact that he would be the shinobi to instruct Sakaiza.
“Right, well I’m Shun. No need for a last name considering this is quite the informal setting. Well what is it you wished to learn today?” Shun had inquired after introducing himself to Sakaiza.
“I want to learn the basics of medical jutsu, to protect myself and my comrades. I believe you can teach me this.” Sakaiza let out while releasing the man’s hand and returning it to his side. Sakaiza was eager to learn, and he had not had a mentor in quite some time. Perhaps Shun would be the perfect, temporary candidate.
“Ahh yes, very well. Meet me in an hour at the training grounds and we will begin there.” Shun let out while immediately walking back to the back office without leaving much room to answer any questions that Sakaiza would have. But to be honest, he had none. He already knew all the information he would need to meet up with Shun, and so started for the exit. As he approached the door, the receptionist called out to him. “Sakaiza…” she faintly sound, yet loud enough for him to hear. “Coral…is my name.” blushing slightly.
Sakaiza, upon hearing this tried to play it cool. He turned his head with a half-smile upon his face, and just nodded. He would see her again.
Coral.
Leaving out of the hospital, Sakaiza began to make his way to the training grounds. He took his time, for he had a little less than an hour to kill. On the way there, he stopped at the local ramen shop and purchased a bowl to dine on. It was nothing but ramen, no meat, no vegetables, for he did not want to each anything to heavy. He knew he had a long day ahead of him and thus he didn’t want to over stuff himself. As he ate the ramen, he began wondering about Coral. What she was like, what she did in her spare time when she wasn’t at the hospital, how old she was, was she a shinobi, if so what was her specialty. As all of the questions began running through his head, Sakaiza found himself to be slurping up the last noodle. It seemed as if the more questions he began to ponder, the faster he ate the noodles; sort of like an anxiety technique, although it was quite far from anxiety, more like pure excitement. When the last noodle was finished, Sakaiza lifted the bowl to his mouth. Tilting it up in the rear, he allowed the juice to fill his mouth (no homo). It was hot, thick and delicious (again, no homo). Upon finishing the last drop, he set the bowl back on the table and thanked the chef for the delicious meal. Now with a full stomach, and twenty minutes down, Sakaiza made his way to the training grounds. Walking at a leisure pace, it took him roughly ten minutes to arrive, leaving thirty minutes for him to practice any technique that he wished to.
Thinking back to his battle with Ryu, he reflected on the many wind release techniques that Ryu seemed to employ in battle. There was that gale palm of his, the wind cyclone and many others. He hadn’t seen such advanced wind justsu from any other shinobi. Well besides the one from the other day when Sakaiza was developing his protection of the eight trigrams technique. There was the one shinobi that released what seemed to be like blades of chakra infused wind at Sakaiza, who in turn dissipated and repelled these strikes. Thinking back on the shinobi, it didn’t seem as if he put forth that much effort to create the wind blades. Sakaiza could recall his actions almost down to the tee. They began with him forming the bird seal. In turn, Sakaiza’s hands were now taking on the form of the bird hand seal, which seemed to be the basics of many wind release jutsu. Following this hand seal, the boy swiped his hands at the air in front of him several times, thus generating three smaller wind blades that sailed a distance towards Sakaiza. And that was all it took to do the technique. There was nothing to strenuous, just simply cutting the air in front of him.
And so, Sakaiza would undertake this technique. Having formed the bird seal, he began to swipe at the air in front of him. Yet nothing really happened. Perhaps he wasn’t as concentrated as what he should be, this was a new jutsu after all. He focused his chakra to his palms and reformed the bird seal. Now, his eyes closed, he ensured that his chakra was channeling itself to his hands, in order to produce those blades from the strikes at the wind. When he would open his eyes, he could feel his palms swelling with chakra, as he now was ready to attempt the technique. He slowly swiped at the air with his first attempt and generated a small blade in the process. Small, but it was progress. With the opposite hand, he swiped again at the air, creating a blade approximately twice the size as the former which carried through the air roughly 7 meters before fading out. Finally with one grand, swift strike the larger blade was generated and soared about 10 meters through the air in front of him. It was likely the most powerful of the three, which in turn made Sakaiza begin thinking. He wondered if he had executed one, conjunctive swipe with both hands combined, if it could sum the power behind three smaller blades. The only way for him to know the validity of this thought, was to try out his idea. He again focused his chakra and formed the bird hand seal, only this time when he would swipe at the air, he would have both of his palms connected and he would swipe diagonally in front of him, from top right to bottom left. Doing so, a large blade of wind, roughly 4 meters in width and 1 inch thick hurled from the motion of his hands and carried all the way to the entrance of the training grounds just as Shun was walking in.
Shun, seeing this wind blade approaching him, picked up speed and slid on his knees underneath it, narrowly avoiding the jutsu. Finishing his evasion, he quickly rose to his feet with a stern look upon his face and approached the source of the technique: Sakaiza. “Really trying to kill me on the day of your first lesson?” he questioned. It seemed as if Shun was trying to be serious but then immediately began laughing. Sakaiza, who was initially worried that Shun would be angry, began laughing in unison with Shun, for the pure coincidence of Shun walking into Sakaiza’s attack was quite humorous to him as well. “Sorry about that, the staff told me that I should try to be as serious as possible but the timing of that all was just too funny!” he exclaimed while regaining his composure.
Also ending his almost uncontrollable laughter Sakaiza responded to the man’s comment, “Well I’m glad you weren’t serious because I’m sure we would have been fighting by now.” Truth be told, Sakaiza was already liking this shinobi, he seemed to have a fun spirit while still obviously being a talented ninja of the Sunagakure no Sato. Sakaiza knew he would be able to learn a lot from his temporary mentor, even if it was only for the day. When Sakaiza finished his joking statement, he began to wonder about the man. What was his story, what kind of person would be able to witness the damage on a human body from a shinobi battle yet still laugh as injuries stared one in the face, what was his last name, did he know coral, did he know how old she was, did she say anything to Shun about Sakaiza? As the thoughts continued to flow like vomit from the mind of Sakaiza, Shun would then interrupt his thought process.
“Well, it’s probably better for your sake that we’re not fighting. I mean who would patch you up after I kicked your ass?” he jokingly said with a semi serious smirk upon his lips. Sakaiza, slightly taken by this, seemed to take it as a challenge. He clinched his fist and stared at the man with slight intensity. Realizing the glare Sakaiza had in his eyes, Shun immediately remedied the situation. “I’m kidding bud, take it easy. Besides, if you were to hurt me, who would teach you the medical jutsu you were so eager to learn an hour ago?”
He was right. Sakaiza couldn’t bash the guy’s face in, not yet at least.
“The spar will come later…” Shun reassured. “As for right now, I’ve prepared a small lesson for you but I can only make it apply to your learning style and capabilities if I know more about you.” Shun began. “For instance, what’s your name and what clan do you hail from? What do you specialize in? You know, the fundamentals of who you are.”
Sakaiza, calming down from the initial intensity he just had moments ago relaxed his brow and unclenched his fists. The man didn’t seem to mean any harm, although he did indicate that he would be interested in a spar later on. He wasn’t aware of the jutsu Sakaiza had up his sleeves, but neither was Sakaiza regarding the medical shinobi. Upon being prompted to provide some preliminary information to the man, Sakaiza honestly answered.
“Sakaiza’s the name. Sakaiza of the Hyuuga Clan. Gifted and talented with the Byakugan dojustu, I’m a taijutsu specialist with the wind release affinity. Born here in Sunagakure no Sato, I am a genin a part of Sunaga Team Seven.” He proudly stated before pausing to analyze the look upon the man’s face. It seemed as if Shun was expecting Sakaiza to leak more information, but Sakaiza felt as if that touched bases on any information he needed to adjust his lesson to be gear towards. “Good enough?”
Shun, who was listening to Sakaiza’s information, immediately knew exactly what he would teach Sakaiza. When Sakaiza questioned whether the information he provided was sufficient enough, Shun would offer a slight nod. “So Byakugan huh? I’m assuming you’ve awakened it and thus utilize Gentle Fist and Eight Trigrams technique.” He let out. For one to be aware of these jutsu, he had to have knowledge on the Hyuuga Clan. It was not common information, however it was not hard information to find.
“That is correct.” Sakaiza let out, slightly reluctant. He didn’t wish to provide Shun with any information that wasn’t absolutely necessary for the training exercise, although perhaps it was. “How do you know of these jutsu styles?” Sakaiza questioned, for he had only learned of them from other Hyuuga.
“Well as you can imagine, I’ve seen all kinds of injuries on the operating board. I’ve seen gashes, shattered bone, torn appendages…But the things that seem to be the most detrimental to some of the patients I’ve treated has been the workings of a skilled Hyuuga.” He began while taking a second to pause, almost as if his memory had painted too vivid of an image for his brain to simply shrug off. “You see, the skilled Hyuuga can absolute destroy the internal organs of an opponent, to the point of no repair. So that is how I’ve learned of the gentle fist and eight trigrams. No other jutsu in the world targets an opponent’s central chakra system and internal organs to deal damage from the inside out. It’s quite the ability.” He continued while raising a brow, “So are you a skilled Hyuuga?” he asked Sakaiza.
“You could say that.”
“Good, well then I have the exact type of jutsu you would benefit the most from learning. However, before I begin instructing you on that jutsu, I must teach you the foundations of medical jutsu. At the absolute basic understanding of it, a shinobi is able to clot his own blood and accelerate the process so much so that large gashes can be healed in the span of roughly ten minutes. On the more advanced levels, broken bones can be set back into place and shattered ones can be restored to their former state. On the mastery level..well I’ll just leave some things a mystery. What I will begin teaching you is the basic level of medical jutsu” began Shun with his introductory prompt.
As he spoke, he opened up the weapons pouch strapped to his leg and began to rummage through it. Continuing his speech, it appeared as if he had finally come across what he had been searching for in his pouch. When his hand would begin to surface from the pouch, he would wield two kunai. They were sharp, almost to the point of being newly purchased and unused, or perhaps recently sharpened by a talented blacksmith. Upon finishing his narrative, he threw one of the kunai at Sakaiza in hopes he would catch it, evident by Shun stating, “Here, catch.”
Sakaiza, who listened attentively, already deciphered what he would begin his training with today once Shun mentioned the foundations of medical jutsu. It would be unreasonable to start at anything higher than a beginner level due to Sakaiza’s lack of experience, so he was not disappointed when Shun would inform Sakaiza that he would be learning the basics today. Just then, the kunai Shun threw at Sakaiza came flying towards his arm. Sakaiza, reacting, quickly caught the kunai and looked upon Shun. He was aware that he was supposed to catch it, but it seemed almost as if the speed at which Shun threw the kunai was designated to test Sakaiza’s reflexes.
“Good catch” Shun said with a smile upon his face. As he gripped the other kunai in his hand, he brought the tip of it to his other palm and sliced his hand fiercely. Blood gushed out, but Shun calmly sheathed the kunai back into his weapon’s pouch and continued to speak. “Now watch what I do carefully. You’re going to want to infuse your palm with chakra, and hover it over the wound. Keep it there until the wound is fully healed, then you’ll be able to clot your blood and the wound will heal vigorously fast. Now you try.” He said while quickly forming the boar, rat and then snake hand signs which in turned allow him to heal his fresh wound.
Within seconds of him finishing his speech, Sakaiza noted that Shun’s wound was completely healed as he awaited Sakaiza to attempt cutting his hand open and healing his own wound. As Sakaiza brought the kunai up to his hand, he pressed the tip upon the outskirt of his palm. This all seemed so unorthodox to him. Intentionally injuring himself? But this was the way that he would have to learn the jutsu he craved to know. With the kunai pressed upon his palm, Sakaiza swiftly sliced his palm open with one quick motion from his arm.
“Yikes! That’s a good one! You’re going to want to quickly tend to that, or else you might pass out from blood loss.” Shun teased Sakaiza.
Sakaiza, slightly panicking let out a, “Well you could have told me not to make the cut deep!” As soon as he finished the statement, he dropped the kunai from his hand and it landed on the floor. With his bleeding hand, he quickly formed the boar, rat and then snake hand seals in consecutive order. His right palm quickly began surging with chakra and he swiftly brought it over to hover above his bleeding hand. His hand did not nearly heal as quickly as Shun’s did, but he could see that the healing was evident. The flow of the pouring out blood began to slow and slow, as Sakaiza’s palm started to scab over. After several minutes, the wound had been completely scabbed over yet his palm was still stinging slightly from the location of the cut.
Noting Sakaiza’s progress, Shun began to clap. He quickly stopped, as his hand too stung from the location of his intentional wound. “I probably should have had us cut a different part of our body…”he reflected aloud. “Oh well. On to the next lesson. So as a Hyuuga, you should be aware of the 361 tenketsu points along the body. These tenketsu points allow for chakra to be channeled throughout every person’s body, thus creating the central chakra network. As a Hyuuga, you are used to targeting and assaulting these tenketsu points, thus locking one and preventing the opponent from funneling chakra to that point.”
Sakaiza nodded in agreement, for he was quite familiar with this basic concept.
“Now what you may not be used to is absorbing that chakra.”
Sakaiza quickly ceased his nodding, for a foreign concept had now entered his mind. His eyes slightly widened with the realization of the potential of this technique.
“It seems you might have beaten me to the punch. I’ll explain it anyway though. One of the more advanced techniques of medical jutsu is chakra absorption. As the name implies, the user of the technique absorbs the chakra from another individual. Through the exertion of one’s one chakra and the opening of their tenketsu points, the user will thus open their body to absorb the chakra of their target. In combat, the Hyuuga can be exceptionally deadly with this technique. Because of your Byakugan, you are able to see the tenketsu points along anyone’s body, thus granting you extreme precision in your strikes. Now imagine performing one of your Hyuuga abilities while simultaneously employing the chakra absorption jutsu. I’ll let that thought settle in before I continue.” Shun said while carefully watching the eyes of Sakaiza, almost as if he noted Sakaiza having an epiphany in the process.
Sakaiza’s eyes, now big as ever, seemed to just strike the jutsu gold mine. As Sakaiza listened, he was speculating every following word that would leave Shun’s mouth in extreme excitement. It seemed as everything that Sakaiza was anticipating, Shun was confirming. He then began to think, “If this jutsu is really everything that Shun is saying it is, I can only imagine that combination it will have with my powerful Gentle Fist and Eight Trigram techniques. If I used the chakra absorption with my one hundred twenty eight palms, I could literally drain the chakra from an opponent down to their last bit…” as Sakaiza’s thoughts began to grow slightly dark in nature, Shun interrupted him.
“Now, let me teach you have to do it. There are no hand seals with this jutsu, so I’ll need you to pay close attention again to what I do. Watch my palms closely…” Shun paused as he began to focus and channel the chakra to his hands. As he did so, they would begin to radiate a faint, light blue aura from them. “Now through focusing your chakra and opening your tenketsu points along the point of contact, you will be able to essentially drain the chakra from an opponent’s reserves and add it to your own. Come here and try it on me.” Shun prompted with his hands now normal in nature, having repressed his chakra absorption abilities.
Sakaiza, who had been closely following the movements of Shun began to mirror them himself. He focused and channeled the chakra from his to his hands. He was used to doing this, as it was customary for a Hyuuga to strike with chakra infused palms, so it took him little to no time to redirect the chakra to pulse from his palms. As he did so, his hands began to overflow with an evident, light blue aura from each. Shun would notice this and his eyes would grow slightly, realizing that Sakaiza was not just another Hyuuga but he had been one that likely had undergone intensive training and thus was learning to master his chakra control. Sakaiza, now with the chakra infused palms began to approach Shun on command.
Shun, who had prompted Sakaiza to try the technique on him, was slightly concerned for his welfare. He had not seen or heard of this technique being done by a Hyuuga and him providing Sakaiza with the idea of it was him simply going on a creative tangent. But now realizing the potency behind Sakaiza’s chakra, he began to feel the intensity of it as Sakaiza got closer. Now directly in front of Shun, Sakaiza placed both palms upon Shun’s arm. Because Sakaiza’s Byakugan was currently inactive, Sakaiza did not place his hands directly upon a tenketsu point but within the area of influence of one. Sakaiza began to feel the flow of chakra leave Shun’s arm and surge into his own palms. “This power…this is incredible. I literally feel like I’m sapping the life out of him…” Sakaiza’s thoughts began to grow dark again. He enjoyed this power, and wanted more of it. As he was deep in thought he could faintly hear the voice of Shun. As his thoughts began to digress, Shun’s voice grew louder.
“Okay let go now!” he commanded while sending a kick Sakaiza’s way, who clearly was lost in the jutsu.
Sakaiza, taking the kick flew back slightly and to the ground. His palms lost their light blue aura and he laid upon the ground for several seconds before leaning up. He braced his left hand upon the floor and moved one foot to be resting underneath his bottom. As he focused his body weight upon his pivoted appendages he began to stand up. “I’m sorry Shun – sensei, I got completely lost in the jutsu and in thought thinking about the potential of this chakra absorption technique. I apologize.” Sakaiza sincerely said, fully realizing that he deserved the kick to his torso.
As Shun brought his leg down from Sakaiza’s abdomen and back to the ground, he was slightly stunned by how Sakaiza had openly admitted to being lost in the jutsu. “Now listen, regardless of how powerful a jutsu is, you remember that you control it. It doesn’t control you. With that being said, every jutsu that you use has consequences and results that stem from it. I wouldn’t suggest using this chakra absorption technique in a friendly spar. Combined with your gentle fist, it can prove to be fatal. But in a life deciding situation, this is something that you would want to consider using, for it is powerful enough to save your life.” Shun wisely said. It seemed as if he had realized that Sakaiza was just another young, eager shinobi looking to make his mark on the world. By having so much ambition in his intentions, it would be easy for Sakaiza to turn to dark thoughts. However, Shun did not want to be held responsible for any dark actions that may have resulted from those same dark thoughts.
Sakaiza, now back on his feet, heeded the words of Shun. Every word that came from the medical shinobi’s mouth was true. Sakaiza knew that it could be deadly if successfully combined with the gentle fist and eight trigram arts, thus he did not wish to employ these jutsu together onto any friend. However he did begin to wonder. What if there were a situation where his friend was unable to fight, but wanted Sakaiza to use his strength to fight for him. Would Sakaiza be able to absorb his friend’s chakra and then replace it back to him upon the end of the fight. He figured this would be the best time to ask the question. Giving Shun’s statement several seconds to fully settle in to make it seem like Sakaiza was really grasping the severity of what Shun said, Sakaiza opened his mouth to speak.
“So what if one of my friends is unable to fight but still conscious. Say he wants me to use his chakra in order to defeat our enemy. Would it be acceptable for me to use the chakra absorption on him, defeat our enemy and then restore the chakra back to his body through a similar process?” Sakaiza asked, trying to make his voice as pure and whole as possible. He didn’t want to come across as evil to Shun, for he was not evil. Sakaiza was simply curious, and with that curiosity came questions a plenty.
Shun, hearing the question of Sakaiza, actually believed it was a good one. He took a minute to reflect on it to make sure that he was answering it accurately and truthfully. Still pausing, he opened his mouth to respond but closed it shortly after. He crossed his arms and brought his hand up to his mouth and scratched his chin. Shortly after, he raised his hand and pointed his index finger, “I do not want to sound hypocritical in telling you this, but in that case it would be acceptable to use it on your friend. As long as your friend makes the conscious decision to let you borrow his chakra to ward off a threat, thus saving both of your lives. However, that chakra would have to be returned to him upon disposal of your enemy. Such nobility is the shinobi way, and it is the way of the man who taught you how to use this technique.” Shun would reply, slightly proud of the question his temporary student had posed to him.
Sakaiza, hearing the answer he wanted, now smiled. He felt as if he could thoroughly protect those dear to him by absorbing their chakra to fend off any immediate threats. However, he wondered what the feeling of housing another person’s chakra within his body would be like. He had caught a glimpse of it, when he had used the technique upon Shun, but the glimpse was so short that Sakaiza did not get the chance to analyze the feeling that came with it.
“Now Sakaiza, as I promised, you and I can spar now. However, I do not want you to use the chakra absorption jutsu. In turn, I will not either. But if you do begin to use it, I will be relentless in my assault to stop you. Is that clear?” Shun said, slightly stern in his tone. But this was not the same stern tone he had initially directed at Sakaiza like he did when he had dodged the wind slash. No this tone was different. It was serious, much more serious than he had been earlier on. If Sakaiza were to unleash the chakra absorption jutsu, Shun would have no choice but to make quick work of Sakaiza. At least that’s what his intentions were. However, he had no clue the capabilities of Sakaiza, especially with this newfound jutsu and the degree of creativity that Sakaiza actively displayed.
Sakaiza attentively and impatiently listened to Shun’s words as he externally remained calm, cool and collected. When Shun asked him if he understood the rules of the fight, Sakaiza nodded and quickly let out, “Yeah. Crystal clear.”
“Good, then let us go further in to the training grounds and begin with some preliminary warm up stretching. As a medical shinobi, it would go against my beliefs to run into a battle without the necessary precautions.” Shun began as the two started to walk towards the center of the training grounds from the corner that they had initially been in. Sakaiza, who also started walking was quite excited to be able to test his skills against Shun. “It would go against my ninja way if we were to go into battle without stretching. I mean what if we pulled a muscle, or twisted an ankle or…” Shun spoke, seeming to worry too much about the minor outcomes of the spar.
Sakaiza had begun to tune out Shun as the two walked towards the center of the training grounds. He was too busy conducting an analysis of the type of shinobi he pinned Shun to be to listen to the worrisome thoughts of a medical shinobi. “Judging by his profession, I would say he was first specialized in medical jutsu. Based upon the kick he delivered to my mid section earlier, I can tell he has only the slightest degree of taijutsu training, because that kick was far too weak to come from a taijutsu specialist. He did however demonstrate exceptional chakra control though when demonstration both his basic medical jutsu technique as well as the chakra absorption technique, so it is far more likely that he is also specialized in ninjustsu. Earlier, he dodged my wind attack, but only narrowly. So his speed shouldn’t be too high. Because of how much he worries, I can only assume that he could conduct a lot of durability training, to prevent himself from getting hurt too much, which explains why he would lack in speed. Therefore, I am led to believe that Shun must be specialized in medical and ninjutsu, focusing more on his durability, chakra control and stamina.”
Sakaiza hypothesized these thoughts to himself as he would finally find himself at the center of the training grounds. Ironically enough, he was actually spot on with his analysis. Shun was quite the defensive guy when it came to combat. Therefore, Sakaiza would have to keep assaulting Shun until he forced a crack in Shun’s defenses. Nevertheless, it was all too soon to be concerned about the spar itself, for it was far from beginning. The two had literally just made it to the center of the training grounds and Sakaiza finally tuned back into what Shun was saying.
“…and that’s why we should stretch before we spar!” he finished, throwing up a thumbs up sign and a bubble gum grin to Sakaiza.
Sakaiza, who had little to no clue what Shun had been saying to him responded with an unconvincing smile and a slow thumbs up in turn.
It was good enough for Shun who then said, “Alright then! Well follow my lead!”
As Shun commanded Sakaiza to follow his lead in stretching, he began to do his classic warm ups. It consisted of an arm to leg stretch, alternating between arms and legs. This was followed by a both fingers to toes stretch, which he would hold for at least a minute. Following this, he lunged forward, twisted his torso and stretched out his arms, holding this pose for about another minute. Next he would lunge the other foot forward, twist his torso to the opposite site and stretch his arms out again. He then sat upon the floor and reached for his toes again, not allowing his knees to remove from the ground. He spread his legs and began reaching for each foot in turn, holding the positions for a minute each. The various amount of stretching continued until roughly ten minutes passed and virtually every muscle on his body was thoroughly stretched out.
Sakaiza, with his superior flexibility, had been keeping up the whole time but grew quite bored with stretching. “Man, this guy really is paranoid if he wants to stretch for this long. I mean this would be completely impractical right before fighting an impatient opponent…” Sakaiza thought to himself as he carried out the stretches demanded of him from his sensei for the day. As the two conducted their last set of stretches, they both rose to their feet and Shun began taking several steps back to create an initial distance from Sakaiza so that the two would have enough room for whatever style of fighting they were more used to. Sakaiza did the same, taking several steps back until he had created a substantial yet equal distance from himself to Shun. The two were now roughly 20 meters apart and thus Sakaiza’s thoughts regarding Shun’s style of fighting were nearly confirmed. Based upon his inferred medical and ninjutsu specialties, Sakaiza assumed that Shun was a mid – long range fighter. This was evident from him wanting to create more space between the two, considering the fact that he had already known Sakaiza was a taijutsu, gentle fist and eight trigrams user.
Shun would then assume his stance, which was the icing on the cake for Sakaiza. It was the cliché, long distance fighting stance, almost as if he was preparing to launch a series of kunai at the young genin. Nevertheless, Sakaiza would still treat Shun as a worthy adversary and serious opponent. After all, Sakaiza did not want to go into the find underestimating Shun and then be bested as a result. As Sakaiza watched Shun finalize the execution of his stance, Sakaiza prepared to assume his own in turn. He slid his left foot to his front and then slid the right foot to the back. He then bent his knees, lowering his body. Following this, he rotated his torso ever so slightly to be angled between directly facing Shun and facing the perpendicular. He breathed in, bringing his hands in to his torso and up reaching for the sky at the peak of his inhale. He held this position for several seconds before exhaling, bringing his arms down from the peak of their stretch and down to his sides. He would then lift his arms to be position out from his body but close enough to defend from any incoming attacks. This was his hybrid style of the gentle fist, ready to anticipate any defensive while simultaneously preparing to exploit an opportunity. As his stance was finalized, Sakaiza would activate his Byakugan. The veins upon his temples started to protrude and his eyes continued to transition from their natural, full gray to a daunting, piercing pearl. Now, Sakaiza could see all 361 tenketsu points along Shun’s body and could read his chakra signature.
It seemed as if Shun possessed potent chakra, but nothing out of the ordinary to the degree that his comrade Nobu possessed with the silver chakra. However, Shun still seemed to have a different chakra flow. It did not flow evenly and fully throughout his body, almost as if Shun was slightly timid. But that couldn’t be the case, could it? Well it was. But Sakaiza failed to analyze this, for even only registered Shun’s chakra to just not be an anomaly.
As the two now faced each other, they were ready to begin. “Let’s start.” Shun said as he began rushing towards Sakaiza, making various hand seals in the process.
Sakaiza’s hypothesis had been correct, Shun was not quick at all. But Sakaiza did not want to capitalize of Shun’s lack of speed so early in the spar. Instead he just let Shun come to him with his jutsu. Upon the termination of his hand seal, Shun opened his mouth and released several fire balls right towards Sakaiza’s direction. Sakaiza leaped to the side, rolling out the way of the first one, leaped over the second which was coming directly at his crouching position, and split the last one with his fingertips.
As Sakaiza would land back on the ground, he would then swiftly form several hand seals of his own, thus generating several air bullets which he fired all four in a straight trajectory right at the incoming Shun. Shun simply leaped over the air bullet and while in the air, again formulated several hand signs. This time however, it was not a fire release style resulting from the hand signs, instead he released a wind cyclone, completely similar to the one that Sakaiza had recently watched Ryu create in their spar with Salzem.
While the cycle hurled itself towards Sakaiza, Sakaiza got caught in the cyclone and thus was propelled backwards. Flying back in distance, he knew that the only way he would be able to trump Shun’s superior elemental ninjutsu techniques was by closing in the spacing between the two and beginning his close combat flurry of techniques. And so, Sakaiza would work on this. He jumped up to his feet and noted Shun once again dashing towards Sakaiza with full force. Sakaiza decided to halt shun this time, extending a palm thrust forward and as a result, hurling a decently sized chakra based projectile right at Shun. It crashed into Shun. However, Shun had shielded himself from the jutsu by covering both arms in front of his body. While this would happen, he would be forced backwards by the impact of the jutsu against his defenses. Noting that Shun had just taken his first blow of the match, Sakaiza began dashing in a full speed. When he would finally approach Shun, he would leap up and deliver a swift kick to Shun’s head. When the contact was made, a slight *poof* would occur and the real Shun would appear just behind Sakaiza. As this happened, Shun released the gale palm technique, forcing Sakaiza to be blown off several feet away from Shun.
Sakaiza, who again was knocked away and off his feet by Shun, did not understand why Shun was besting him. Perhaps he simply had his wits about him. He was a chuunin leveled medical shinobi after all. But this would not change anything. Sakaiza knew he still had to close in the distance between the two if he were to want to get a solid series of attacks going on Shun. Leaping up to his feet again, he would then create the hand seals of his own clone, creating two more Sakaizas. As Shun would again send fireballs crashing into the clones as he approached Sakaiza, Sakaiza would slide underneath one of the fireballs and eliminate some spacing between the two men. As he did, he quickly created the bird hand seal and swiftly flung his palm across his body, hurling a powerful wind slash at the mid – section of Shun, who at this point would be unable to defend it. This time he flew back a distance and fell to his feet, giving Sakaiza the ability to press the advantage. He darted towards the fallen Shun who had just risen back up and locked Shun in a close quartered taijutsu match now.
Throughout this whole process, no words were exchanged, as the shinobi were too busy testing out each other’s abilities to want to speak with each other. As Sakaiza threw several tenketsu needles along the tenketsu of Shun’s body, Shun would dodge then and throw his own slower punches and kicks at Sakaiza. Sakaiza however, easily dodged these punches and kicks to the extent where he created an opening, allowing him to thrust his palm bottom technique forward and to the chest of Shun. Now another opening occurred as Shun had been staggered. Sakaiza immediately dashed forward and began his sequence of the 64 palms technique. Striking the first two tenketsu, followed by two more, then four more, then eight more and then sixteen. As he reached the twentieth strike, Shun seemed to summon the speed to use his body flicker to essentially teleport behind Sakaiza, thus avoiding the painful end of the 64 palms jutsu. Now behind Sakaiza, he delivered swift kicks to Sakaiza’s side and several punches to his back. Sakaiza, tanking these blows, used the momentum to roll forward and push off of his feet to leap backwards and over Shun. Shun, in response to this, sent a backwards kick to Sakaiza’s abdomen. Realizing Shun’s intended target, Sakaiza quickly brought up his knee and brought down the same sides elbow thus catching the foot of Shun in between the two. However, the shear speed and power behind these two joints meeting generated a loud cracking noise followed by Shun falling to the ground, begging Sakaiza to release him.
Sakaiza, confused, released Shun, who immediately began to treat his broken ankle with his advanced jutsu.
“Are you okay? I’m sorry Shun, I don’t even know what happened! I just kind of reacted” Sakaiza let out, true to his words.
Shun, still tending to his wounds, responded with a, “That technique is quite incredible. It is a taijutsu one called the interception method. Through, like you would say, just kind of reacting, the user catches the opponent’s limb in a defensive grab that’s so powerful it can shatter bone. Luckily due to your inexperience with it, you just cleanly snapped one of mine, which I just finished healing actually.” Shun let out while removing his hand from hovering over his ankle.
Sakaiza, shocked that he essentially just accidentally performed a taijutsu technique smiled slightly and laughed. “I guess I am a skilled Hyuuga” he said with a laugh, similar to the one he and Shun laugh.
Shun, recognizing the irony of Sakaiza letting out this statement also laughed, quite like before. When he would return to his feet, he and Sakaiza would walk back to the hospital and make their farewells. Sakaiza thanked Shun for his lessons that he had provided Sakaiza with today, winked at Coral who was still at the receptionist desk and then turned around and left the hospital.

Hello Sakaiza! I'm Ashie and I will be looking over a few things here, I would like to ask that you refrain from updating your stat page with any posts until they are approved by a mod please because then we can carefully scan over things like how many jutsu's you've trained and how many you are allowed to have such as follows,
I am approving Medical Ninjutsu: lvl 1 because it's lower than D-rank,
However I'm going to have to Deny/Revoke the Wind Release: Slash, Chakra Absorbtion, and Interception Method because you are a Genin and you are already over the amount of jutsu's that are above D-ranking and because of that you are going to have to Freeze one of your higher ranking jutsu's until you hit Chuunin.
V6 Jutsu Rules
You're 39 stats are approved though.

V6 Jutsu Rules
Genin:
• Unlimited Canon D-Rank and lower.
• 5 of every rank of jutsu above D, excluding S-Rank.
• No Custom Jutsu.
• 3 bloodline jutsu.
Jutsu that do not directly use the bloodline, such as the Byakugan's Gentle Fist fighting style are not counted as a bloodline jutsu, and can be treated as canon, but things that use the bloodlines element such as wood release, or the Kaguya bones will count as a bloodline jutsu.
You're 39 stats are approved though.
