Today had been a different day along with much of anything and this was something that Dusk and a few others had to deal with. Apparently in the beginning of the day some of the priests and ninja of the village got into a heated argument which lead to the events of a fight where some of the Queensguard had broken it up, but required some assistance of the young ninja of the village to deal with. As one of these ninja got dressed to deal with the issue, he remembered the previous missions that he had did with Aki and Kenshin, a smile on his face as he nodded to himself," Alright i'm going to make her proud no matter what," not knowing the events of why Akihana had left the village, he trusted that Shina had been watching over his progress and had been reporting it to Den, but for now the male grabbed the staff that had been given to him by the Hogokage and left out into the village.
Strapping the staff onto his back, the blue haired genin set off towards the Water Garden where the dispute was taking place, hoping that the other two ninja would be there waiting for him. Since this had been a mission of the utmost importance he figured they would be rather punctual more than anything else. From what he knew about the priest they had been hesitant about the ninja and their "witchcraft" as they had called it, but did not show it outwardly as some would think. What he did not understand was why the ninja had been giving them a hard time. While he was the first to arrive, he began to speak with the Queensguard to see what had been going on and after obtaining some form of clarity he thought of a way to solve the issue. With the two sides still arguing and looking like they would erupt into a fight at any moment, his eyes turned behind him to see if the others would arrive. When the two did he would explain the situation as followed," As you two know the ninja and priest are getting into some pretty heavy argument that will eventually lead to fighting. We need to stop it here before it gets worse and the hard work that Miss Akihana and Den-san put into bridging the gap. Let's do it!," giving it a rather cheerful thought, he would wait to see what the other two needed to say before going in.

Today, Shiro strolls down the road, coming from the library just after having read through the final parts of his book on space-time and how to manipulate it. The following day, he plans to begin reading a book on medical ninjutsu. Even though, the order of which he is reading these two books is space-time and then medical, Shiro plans on advancing first into the medical ninjutsu specialty and then into the space-time specialty.
"And I'm making good progress." Shiro thinks, hands in his pockets and making his way closer to his next point of notable action, an audible crowd of people gathered with Queensguard looking to control the escalating conflict. "Not too long from now, I should be making my way towards chuunin and getting that medical specialty into my arsenal. But... what's this?"
As he gets ever closer to the crowd, he sections out a side of religious followers and a side of shinobi and kunoichi. Their voices get louder and, though no words can be picked out, Shiro can register the anger in their voices. For a reason yet to be uncovered, the two factions are engaged in a heated confrontation. There are no physical strikes thrown yet but such an event is not far from occurring judging by the way they speak.
"That doesn't look too good. Maybe I should help. In fact, there's one ninja standing out of the crowd. He must have the same idea." Shiro speeds up his pace and arrives before the first shinobi. After waiting for a potential third member to their task force, this new ninja explains the situation.
"I see. Then this can get bad quickly. The sooner we get this done, the better it will be." Shiro introduces himself, giving his name.
After the introductions have passed, the three will leap into action, struggling into the center of the conflict between the two groups.

Kenshin had to resist the urge to sigh as he hastily made his way to the water gardens of Hoshi, apparently a fight had broken out there between groups of shinobi and groups of local priests and it was the job of Kenshin and a couple of others to break up the groups before either side managed to do some serious damage to the other. Honestly the silver haired teen began wondering whether or not the group of shinobi realised just how tense the situation in the village was already, because surely if they did they would never even consider getting into a fight with a group of priests, but then again if they did not notice just how tense the situation was then they would have to be blind fools. As Kenshin approached the Water Gardens where the conflict was taking place, but as soon as he got within one hundred meters of the area he could sense two very familiar chakra signatures, one of them belonged to Dusk, the young man whom he had met through a mission to observe a pair of queensmen for a day. While the other signature was one that he had felt not too long ago actually, he had memorised it when he and the person it belonged to worked together to put out a rather large fire that if left uncontrolled could have done a lot of damage to Hoshi.
Now that he thought about it the other shinobi had not introduced himself, oh well, he would have the chance to learn his name now, although he found himself hoping that Dusk and his new friend were his partners on this mission, not a couple of the shinobi who were agitating the priests. As Kenshin arrived he would silently make his way over to where he felt the two familiar chakra signatures, and thankfully they were not part of conflict, something that told him they would be his teammates for this mission. “As you two know the ninja and priest are getting into some pretty heavy argument that will eventually lead to fighting. We need to stop it before it gets worse and the hard work that Miss Akihana and Den-san put into bridging the gap. Let's do it!” he would hear Dusk say in a rather exuberant tone, something that got a small smirk from Kenshin “I see. Then this can get quick badly. The sooner we get this done, the better it will be” he would hear his other teammate say, a sentiment that Kenshin completely agreed with, he would then hear the shinobi introduce himself as Shiro Kaguya, something that got a small smile from Kenshin, perhaps he had realised that he never introduce himself when they first met
“Well lets get to it shall we, Dusk, Shiro, the sooner this is sorted out the better, we can’t just stand by and watch the hard work put in by Akihana and Den go to waste” Kenshin would say, honestly the silver haired teen was unsure exactly who this Den was, as he hadn’t actually heard much about the kage of Hoshi as of yet. But based on what Dusk had said he and Akihana had put time and effort into bridging the gap between the shinobi sect of the village and the more religious side, and he was not willing to let a group of rowdy shinobi, kunoichi and priests ruin all of that hard work. He would wait and see how his teammate proceeded before acting himself

Dusk smiled as he could see that one of his teammates for this mission had been Kenshin, a testament as he walked over to the silver haired male and gave him an awesome fist bump before nodding," Yup we are partners again. Let's do our best to solve this issue before it gets out of hand," with that he straightened the staff on his back and lead the group into the water gardens where the group would get stares from both groups, more so from the ninja who had thought they were the reinforcements," Oh good three more ninja that will solve this once and for all," said one of the ninja though the priests themselves were getting angrier and angrier that three more of the cursed ninja were coming to interject, which they had been wrong.
Stepping between the opposing group he held his arms up and open towards both sides, palms facing the groups as he shook his head," I'm afraid we are not here to take sides, we are here to settle the issue between the two of you without any violence. Please explain to us what had caused the altercation between the two of you so that we can fully settle the issue and hopefully continue on a peaceful solution," his eyes went from one group to the next as one of the priests shouted something about the ninja being accursed and plagues to the village. That comment caused Dusk to turn his back to the ninja and face the priests where he would calmly take a deep breath and speak to them," I am sorry that you feel that way, but we are in no way a plague to this village. We help the village just as much as you do with your faith sir. If we didn't then the things that happen in the village, like the fire that happened not to long ago would claim lives. I helped in saving the same people that aren't ninja. I feel that all the people in this village, both ninja and non ninja alike can be at peace but," of course as he said this one of the ninja had screamed out that they would never be at peace with such bible hugging bastards, the comment caused the male to furrow his brow. Normally Dusk had not been to unhappy about things, but the ninja's words caused the males smile to dim just slightly.
For a moment he looked back to the others to see what they would say before continuing, " I do not agree with what you are saying sir. If you say you will never be at peace with them, then why did you become a ninja? Isn't yours and our duty to protect the people of Hoshi from threats while living alongside them in cohabitation (a word he learned while farming with his father xD)? If so then why do you hold so much anger against them?," of course this caused one of the priests to hold their tongue simply because of the small ones words. While the other two priests had been staring down the ninja, Dusk would continue to stand between them just in case.

With Dusk taking the first leap into the scene of the two sides, he delivers some opening points to get the attention of the ninja and the priests. Not only did this make them stop to listen but it also lead the way for more reasoning to be done by Shiro and Kenshin.
Following the first ninja's lead, Shiro walks in with him to continue where he leaves off. After thinking and arranging his own thoughts while Dusk is making his opening remarks, he is prepared to confront the two sides of this dispute and allow for an opening to be made where Kenshin might pick up his own reasoning.
"Hopefully, no fighting will break out here. I would not want to have to use force to protect these civilians from themselves. But This Dusk is doing well. Even though the villagers and opposing ninja are shooting rebuttals his way, he is calm and composed, with a smile on his face even. For one with little experience in diplomacy, this kind of task might not seem too difficult. Simply bring out the points where your own side is highlighted and continue to emphasize them. That, however is not the way to win in a situation such as this." Shiro thinks, listening to Dusk as he begins to finish up his own dialogue between the two sides. "The way to take care of this type of scene is to use better reasoning strategy. Fortunately, I reason with myself during much of my free time."
Just then, his turn to speak comes. Without any exchanges between Dusk and Shiro, he knows that the ball is now thrown into his court. So, without hesitation, he begins his own part.
"Dusk is correct. The village needs both the priests and the ninja. We are all a community, a community that must coexist among each other despite difference in work or belief." Shiro begins. "Where would this village be without the ninja to protect it? In a world like the one we live in, danger is abundant. For a fine village like our own, one with wealthy commerce and learned, intelligent people, who would not want to stomp into our streets and claim this land for their own? Such tyranny would abolish the religion that is taught here, would it not?"
For a moment, Shiro pauses to let his words sink in, to allow the two sides to think about his question and to come to their own conclusions for an answer. Picking up again, he continues.
"As for the priests, you rely on the ninja for protection, yes, but the ninja also rely on your to keep peace within the village people full-time. We ninja are not always within the walls, we cannot remain to keep order because we have duties outside of the borders, that is to protect. While we do this, who is in charge of keeping the people mentally busy? That is your work, is it not?" Shiro pauses for a second time to allow for both sides to see the truth in his words.
"This is our coexistence. This is our co-reliance, a co-reliance upon one another. Fights like this, hey tear that family down. Self-destruction results from this kind of disorder, this kind of division."
Closing his own argument, Shiro looks back and forth to the ninja and to the religious followers before allowing Kenshin to take over the rest of the ordeal. Though, Shiro stays close and stands next to Dusk to await the response to their interjection.

Kenshin would give a smirk as he proceeded to bump fists with Dusk, he had to admit the boy had made quite the impression on him from that one mission they did together, right from the very start he had taken charge of the situation and when they needed a plan Dusk had come up with one that was extremely simple yet effective. “Yup, we are partners again. Let’s do our best to solve this issue before it gets out of hand” he would hear the boy say, something that only made the smirk on Kenshin’s face grow even further, whether Dusk knew it or not he was a natural leader, and Kenshin honestly found himself believing that if his blue haired friend put his mind to it he could be the next Hogokage. He would take note of the staff that was on Dusks back as he and Shiro began walking over to the arguing parties, the last time he had seen Dusk he hadn’t possessed the staff, and as such he had no idea of any abilities that it may or may not possess, but he kept these thoughts to himself as he trailed his two teammates over to the arguing groups. As they approached the two factions the other shinobi spotted them, and when they spotted the headbands that each of the three wore they began to smile, something that made Kenshin’s own smirk to shrink, did they think that they were here to help them or something, if so then they must be idiots. “Oh good, three more ninja, that will solve this once and for all” he would hear one of the three shinobi say, something that managed to completely remove the smirk from Kenshin’s face and instead replace it with a small frown, and that frown only got bigger as he saw the looks of pure anger on the faces of the priests, who no doubt assumed the same thing as the shinobi.
As Dusk got between the two groups and opened his arms so that one palm was facing each group the silver haired teen took note of the rather surprised faces that both groups made, obviously neither of them had been expecting this to happen. “I’m afraid we are not here to take sides, we are here to settle the issue between the two of you without any violence. Please explain to us what had caused the altercation between the two of you so that we can fully settle the issue and hopefully continue on a peaceful solution” he would hear Dusk say in a calm and composed tone. ‘Without a doubt, Dusk would make a great Kage in the future’ he would think to himself, but the thoughts were interrupted when he heard one of the priests begin to shout about how shinobi were accursed and plagued beings that would only bring ruin to the village. The albino teen would watch carefully as Dusk turned and faced the priest who had spoken “I am sorry that you feel that way, but we are in no way a plague to this village. We help the village just as much as you do with your faith sir. If we didn’t then the thing that happened in this village, like the fire that happened not to long ago would claim lives. I helped in saving the same people that aren’t ninja. I feel that all people in this village, both ninja and non ninja alike can be at peace, but-” Dusk would say, only to be interrupted by one of the shinobi screaming that they would never be at peace with a bunch of bible hugging bastards, something that only resulted in Kenshin’s annoyance skyrocketing, he had no clue how somebody so short sighted had managed to become a shinobi of Hoshi but it truly annoyed him, because he would only be giving the other shinobi of Hoshi a bad name with that short sighted behaviour.
The scarred teen would give Dusk a smile and a nod as he saw his blue haired friend look back at him and Shiro, he would wait for Dusk to finish saying his piece before he gave his own opinions on the matter. “I do not agree with what you are saying sir. If you say you will never be at peace with them, then why did you become a ninja? Isn’t yours and our duty to protect the people of Hoshi from threats while living alongside them in cohabitation? If so then why do you hold so much anger against them?” he would hear Dusk say, something that only made his smirk get bigger, he could not have put it better himself. Kenshin would allow Shiro to speak next, deciding to save his own argument for last so that he had more time to fully piece it together “Dusk is correct. The village needs both the priests and the ninja. We are a community, a community that must coexist among each other despite the difference in work or belief. Where would this village be without the ninja to protect it? In a world like the one we live in, danger is abundant. For a fine village like our own, one with wealthy commerce and learned, intelligent people, who would not want to stomp into our streets and claim this land for their own? Such tyranny would abolish the religion that is taught here, would it not?” he would hear Shiro say, giving both groups a few moments to think on the words he had said. With that point Shiro had hit the nail firmly on the head, as both groups looked to be contemplating the words that had been said, but Shiro was not done yet “As for the priests, you rely on the ninja for protection, yes, but the ninja also rely on you to keep the peace within the village people full-time. We ninja are not always within the walls, we cannot remain to keep order because we have duties outside of the borders, that is to protect. While we do this, who is in charge of keeping the people mentally busy? That is your work is it not?” Shiro would say before pausing once more
But Kenshin knew that Shiro needed to put the final nail in the coffin with a statement that would cause both sides to see what they were risking, but it seemed like Shiro himself also knew this, as he began speaking once more “This is our coexistence. This is our co-reliance, a co-reliance upon one another. Fight like this, they tear that family down. Self destruction results from this kind of disorder, this kind of division” Shiro would say, a statement that Kenshin knew perfectly summed up the argument so far. But now it seemed as if it was his turn to speak, and thankfully throughout both Shiro and Dusks speeches he had been preparing his own “I would like each of you to think hard about everything that has been said so far, because both Dusk and Shiro here are completely right, neither of our groups can truly thrive in Hoshi without the other” He would say in a no nonsense tone, he would notice one of the priests about to interrupt him, and just as Kenshin had hoped the man began spouting about how Haven had existed long before the shinobi had arrived and that it would continue to exist when they left. Kenshin would give the man a smirk “Oh really, because you see, ever since I joined this village I have been visiting the library to learn more about this land and this village in general. It was through this that I learned that Haven used to raided quite often by missing nin and bandits, now I want you to answer me this, has the village been raided since we shinobi made this village our home?” He would say, shutting the priest up completely as he knew that the white haired teen was speaking the truth
He would note the rather smug looks that appeared on the faces of the other shinobi our of the corner of his eye, something that caused him to turn and face them “Now for you lot, don’t look so smug about this, you all disappoint me more than words could ever hope to convey” He would say in a rather irritated tone “As shinobi it is our sworn duty to protect and serve the people of Haven, and yet here you are openly antagonizing the very people who help us keep the peace and order here, and for what? For them spouting a few insulting words, do you see how immature that is?” Kenshin would say with a frown marring his face, before once more turning and facing the priests “You priests are no better, you proved your own immaturity when you began insulting these shinobi in the first place, because I am willing to bet they had done nothing to deserve whatever you said” The silver haired teen would say, crossing his arms as moved next to Dusk “You lot remind me of a group of squabbling children, and much like children you need to think about the consequences that your actions could have, because imagine what would have happened if this had escalated further and we had not been here” Kenshin would say before pausing, giving them all a minute to think for themselves
“It would have more than likely resulted in civil war...and I’m sure that none of you want that” Kenshin would say in an emotionless tone, his face blank as he looked between both groups. “Next time think about the consequences of your actions” The silver haired teen would say one final time, his piece had been said and now he would await Dusk and Shiro’s actions

Re: On the Road to Chuunin [Part 1]

As Dusk stood there and listened to both of his partners words, he couldn't help but look at the opposing groups to get a feel of what had been going through their minds at least on a physical plane. While the priests had slowly been listening, the ninja had still been stuck in their ways which had caused the young male to furrow his brows. In this moment he thought of what would happen if the two were to actually start to fight in this area. The ninja would of course overpower the priests, but at the cost of losing the trust of the people. After that he could only see the people rising up and then wanting the ninja gone leaving them with no home unless the ninja fought back and took the village by force, but that would leave them no better than the bandits and missing ninja that plagued the village before hand.
Taking that Kenshin had looked at him after speaking meant he had been waiting for his reaction or at least a response from him, Dusk cleared his throat and looked to both parties," My friends here do have a point. We are all both people here and it doesn't benefit any of us to fight like this. We should be working together in order to bring the village into a brighter future, not bringing up is darker past," turning to the priests," We want this to be a better place for not only you and the people of Hoshi, but ourselves as well. I know that you only know the evils of the ninja world due to bandits and missing ninja, but not all of us are bad. Aren't Akihana and Den-san proof that some ninja aren't bad? The past leaves wounds that can only heal if you let them, and if you let the animosity that was given by evil to cloud your judgement of us...Then you become that which you hate. You don't hate ninja instead you hate the ones that did you and your people wrong," of course as he finished this he slowly turned to the ninja to address them.
"As for you...Please give it a rest and give the priests a chance. Like i said earlier, as ninja you are supposed to protect all of the people of Hoshi and they are no exception. Without them and the faith that they preach there would be chaos within the village...And because they have already had bad experiences with ninja, don't you think we should show them that there are some that are not bad? We should be leading by the example of our leader and Akihana to prove that Ninja can be more of a help than a danger, but we cannot move forward if you keep acting out as a child," finishing his statement he would then turn back to both to say one final thing before leaving it at that.
"Together we can build a brighter future for this village so that we can live up to our name as the village in the stars, but we need the help of both ninja," holding out his hand to the priests he would smile, nudging for Shiro and Kenshin to join him," and ninja. We need to be the first step in order to build a bridge of everlasting peace instead of turmoil. With your help we can finally become something that the people aren't afraid of. So can we work together in order to build our future," of course he got a weird look or two from the priests before they had shook his hand and nodded to him. While he did that he looked to the ninja who with a defeated look on their face talked between themselves. Whether or not they had agreed was up to them, but Dusk would do all he could to protect the peace of the village.

The murmurs within the two crowds die down slowly as Dusk finishes speaking. After those words, Shiro holds off from continuing so that he can assess the situation and discern whether or not the reasons given here against arguing have been enough for the minds of the ninja and the priests. He notes that the ninja had not been entirely inclined to accept the diplomacy. However, after Dusk had attended to that problem, all seems to be going quite nicely. All that is left now is to close this act up and make sure that everyone leaves with words to think about.
"Hopefully, we've done a fine enough job here." Shiro thinks, looking back and forth between the two factions. For the most part, his eyes stay fixed on the religious leaders to his right rather than the ninja to his left because he knows that Dusk has them covered, ready to warn Kenshin and Shiro of potential danger. "I'll be honest, I wasn't entirely sure of this task when the three of us had first walked onto the scene. Some of these ninja are ranks above us and have skills and abilities far beyond what I think that we can defend against. Had it happened that the ninja decided that we were in the way, Dusk, Kenshin, and I would all be in serious danger. Even the Queens Guards aren't numerous enough for this large crowd of shinobi and kunoichi."
With most of the cracks filled in between the priests and the ninja, Shiro begins to feel more at ease. Literally being at the center of a conflict so as to put it to rest and mend the relationships that have been broken can be stressful on a fifteen year old boy. Though he has a team with him, a team which supports him as well as he supports them, the uncertainty is still there. The possibility of things going south can be a frightening one indeed, especially when one knows that such an outcome would be very detrimental to his or her health.
"I mean, look at that one guy. His bicep is bigger than my head!" He tells himself, exhaling deeply. "And that woman's leg looks like it can kick through my rib cage!"
But all is solved now. The priests and ninja begin to whisper to each other once more but the words are not threats to the other side or injurious of Kenshin, Dusk, and or Shiro. He hears the ninja reflecting on the reasoning presented and coming to their own conclusions and feeling as if their actions up until now have been unnecessary, foolish even.
"You know, you three really do have a point. Our bickering is dividing the village. We're charged with protecting the civilians and here we are doing the opposite, causing dangerous ripples that could grow into the waves of a civil war." One ninja speaks up from within the crowd. "I think that I can speak for the other shinobi here. I sincerely extend my apology to you priests."
"We must apologize to you ninja, really." A priest responds. "Here, we have overlooked your service and treated you unthankfully. This kind of action is childish on both our parts."
While the factions previously at odds with each other make peace, Kenshin, Dusk, and Shiro silently leave the scene to leave them to it.
