Making a new Friend (P, NK, Kozai)

Kalix would arrive at the training grounds early today. He was working on learning a new earth ninjutsu, one where he could use the earth to throw small rocks a great distance like the pheonix fire jutsu. He would head over to his normal spot, a small plot of land near the entrance of the training grounds warn and weathered by Kalix's recent training of other earth techniques.

Alas when he arrived he would start with his morning meditations for a while so that once his mind was clear he could begin said training.

The time of day didn't bother him much, though it should have. He was in for a long training session today, if he didn't find anyone at the training grounds. Although, as of recent days, he had lost sight of his goals. He knew that it was possible to "pierce the heavens" alone, but ironically enough, it required luck, luck that he just didn't seem to have. Martial power alone was good and all, but it wasn't enough if a person wasn't "blessed by heaven" in the first place. Still, he wanted to get as far as he could. To that end, he headed out to the training grounds, only to find some red-haired kid there meditating. Well, he hadn't seen anyone else practicing the meditative arts for cultivation in a while, so he too would sit down on the opposite side of the room and begin a period of introspection, clearing the impurities from his chakra network and focusing the world elements into his dantian in preparation for training.

Deep in thought Kalix wouldn't hear the younger ninja beginning his meditations. Kalix was deep in thought, letting his mind be at ease. He could sense his mind being pulled into the forest of dreams. He would hear the loud squawking of many crows and feel a light breeze along his face as they would fly through his mind. But that didn't bother him anymore. He accepted the state of his visions as a piece of himself now. He wouldn't toil through his meditations thinking about things that can't be helped. So he would focus on maintaining his mantra of earth throughout the session.
The meditation would continue until Kalix believed his mind and spirit were one. His task was ever so important to him and his goals so his everything had to be in balance. This was a fundamental for Kalix when training any earth technique.
With his mind clear the genin would open his eyes. As his eyes would adjust to the bright lights around him Kalix would see a young man not far from him. He would appear to also be in a state of thought though he couldn't tell if his eyes were open or closed.
Kalix respected that. He regretted wasting the time in his youth on things other than self development; so to see a younger man deep in meditation brought some joy to his eyes.
He would attempt not to disturb him. But when he got up the ground beneath him would cause noise. Unsure if he had already distracted the young man or not Kalix would do his best to trot away quietly.
