Makeshift Firefighters [Mission] - Shouhei

What a day it was. The district of Hoshigakure no Sato was spared from being to a crisp and also a boy was safely returned to his mother.  The former was mainly due to the actions of another sato, Shouhei Sato. He had bathed the nearby building with his water release and as a result, the fire was unable to spread. Also, the fire of the building whose window Ayato leaped from no more than a few seconds ago had nearly been extinguished, presumably from his water release as well. Was this also the reason the structure of the building began to weaken and Ayato was nearly buried under debris? Well regardless even if that was the case Shouhei leaped on to save his friend even if there was no need to in the end since Ayato’s spur of the moment plans to use an air blast from his palm to cushion the fall somehow worked. Yes, friend and for a moment we get to truly see what Ayato truly thinks of the dynamic between himself and Shouhei. The Hyuuga wasn’t as delusional as he let out to be, but having a rival was necessary for a shinobi to hone his skill. It paralleled how diamonds in the dirt, rough around the edges sharpened when theυ clashed with one another. Or so his father had told him once.

“I’ll see to this mess that’s your whole body.” The ginger said reassuringly just before Ayato fell on his butt, meeting the ground with a loud thud. The loss of blood eventually caused numbness on his legs that got the better of him. Relaxing his arms between his thighs in the last attempt to save his dignity he turned and responded to Shouhei. “Can you use your healing Jutsu to sew back clothes? As it happens I really liked them trousers.” Ayato said with dry humor.  When Shouhei was done healing him he would accept Shouhei’s offer to rise on his feet. “Put your arm around me, we need to get you to the hospital.”As he did, the healed legs as if they were made of jelly, ready to melt down with the next step he took. But regardless he did not feel the urge to go the hospital. Actually, he didn't want to, he hated how hospitals smelled of sickness and old age. He started saying so to Shouhei but before he could conclude his rude thoughts a cheer from the crowd that had amassed like a flock of birds after the fire was extinguished came for the makeshift fire brigade. Funny, Ayato had forgotten the reason he initiated this attempt was to manipulate public opinion of Hoshigakure to become pro-shinobi.

”No but I know how to sew. Or rather my whole family does. I can get you a discount.” Shouhei said being oblivious to the joke. In any event, his shoulders supporting Ayato, he took him to the hospital ignoring the crowd until some young and hesitating voice called them out.

“Will he be okay?” Shouhei looked around to see the kid Ayato had saved before then quickly turned his head to Ayato’s ear to whisper the following. “We’re going to turn around and you are going to smile and wave or give a thumb up. It will make you look good.” Hoping it would cheer him up by feeding his ego.

Slowly turning this arm spaghetti around, Shouhei gave the small kid a thumb up with his free hand and let Ayato do whatever he could whatever he could muster, then hurried them off to the hospital before a crowd formed to celebrate them like some comic book.
