Max would listen to the words of wisdom from their commander. He was correct, the guards would not be offering us any mercy and would be out to kill us. Max would completely understand, and would take a mental note of Itami’s response. This little bit of info would go a long way into understanding their commander and how he thought. “You are very correct, commander. Fear is a powerful weapon. I will do as you said and kill the guards on sight.” Max would say as he readied himself to head out.
Before he knew it, Itami would place his hands on the team and lighten each of their bodies. Max would feel lighter on his feet, but he found that trying to pick up his puppets and place them on his back would prove rather troublesome. His whole body felt rather, weak. “That’s odd…” He would say, quickly weaving his chakra threads into the various points on the puppets. It wouldn’t be long before the other smaller puppet would “spring to life”, its body no longer slumped over. In only moments the largest of the puppets would then be picked up by the smaller one and carried along with them taking the absolute rear. Napa and Max would be together, trying to keep up with group as best they can.
Senshi had originally taken the lead, but he eventually slowed a bit to be more at pace with the group. Reizo had started heading off in the wrong direction, but that was an understandable mistake. They were going to stop people from robbing graves at a tomb. The cemetery in town where Max lived was in the direction he had been heading. Likely just a minor slip up out of habit, for Max didn’t think that any of them had been that far into the mountains or even had heard of a tomb up there.
The whole team was rather quiet, and Max didn’t want to break that silence. If they hadn’t spoken then there would be less chance of any enemy to hear us and respond with an attack or ambush. As they had been traveling, Senshi would slowly shift to the rear of the group, placing Max and Reizo in the middle. It took him a second, but Max understood the strategic advantage of the move. It would place everyone where they could best respond to any threat coming from the direction they were heading in. Commander Itami had been the strongest of them, and Reizo was a Taijutsu specialist. He would need to be in close range when the fighting began to be at his most effective. Max had a rather long range, and so a middle position would both keep him protected from getting picked off while simultaneously allowing him to just as easily support the front or back with his puppetry. Senshi had been capable in the front, but Max knew that people who had used weaponry didn’t need to only be in close. They had many longer range weaponry techniques that they could normally perform. Plus, with Itami in the front and Senshi in the back, the two most experience users of Chakra Sensory wouldn’t be bunched together, allowing a much larger area to be constantly detected. Max had learned sensory from Senshi (from the training thread that hasn’t yet been completed, but is technically from the day before the mission), he had been nowhere near as capable with it as Senshi had been. Still, he would try his best to detect any approaching enemies.
Max would follow along, waiting for word from Itami on where they were or when they would be close.
WC: Will check later to tally this.

As they were now running at full speed towards the mountains, they would be there in no time. As they finally approached the mountains, this was where the mission had begun. Once everyone have arrived, Itami would then touch all his teammates on the shoulder to dispel the lightweight jutsu. He would then proceed to work forward, heading towards the temple where the robbers have been stealing from. Depending on how much their are, the plan would be simple. Kill the guards and bring back the robbers, simple as that.
If his team were to follow they would head towards the temple's direction. As they were slowly approaching the temple. It would be smart for one person to be used as bait to lure out any guards. If we were all to appear all at once, they would all probably try and escape. Which would make things a lot harder. Itami would then look at his teammates to see which one would be perfect to lure them out. Itami thought max would be good to lure them out, since he has the most innocent appearance out of the three. And his puppets would probably get mistaken for toys from a distance. So that would be the plan.
"Alright here is the plan, we will have one of you become bait to lure out the guards. The rest of us will spread out and be hidden in the trees. This way they wouldn't feel threaten if they were to see all of us appear at once. Once a good amount of guards begin to show up, then we strike." Itami said to the team. It was a simple plan, bait to lure them out and then strike.
"The person to be used as bait will be Max. I want you to just walk towards the entrance of the Temple to lure out the guards. And if they tell you to leave, just keep walking. And right before they begin to attack, we'll all come at once to attack as well." Itami would say to Max. This plan should go smoothly if everything is done right.
"As for the rest of you, I expect you to strike fast. Even though this is a mission, this is also a test to see if you really have what it takes to become a true shinobi. This is to see if you can follow directions and get the job done. Simple as that..." Itami would then pause to see if anyone had any questions about the plan. If they did, then he would answer them. If not, he would then proceed to speak again.
"Alright, Max keep walking forward. The rest of you, spread out into the trees." Itami said as he would run off at a speed of 50 towards the trees. He would run up to the highest point of the tree, which was about 8 meters tall. Standing on the tree branch with his chakra suppressed. Keeping himself hidden. Assuming the other three are carrying out their plan.
If Max were to continue walking towards the temple, a guard would begin to walk out of the temple and notice him. With a sword in his right hand. The guard would have a shocked look on his face to see the boy approaching the temple.
"Go back home kid, this isn't the place for you.." And if the Max were to keep walking towards the temple like he were told, then the guard would start to get a little pissed. "Hey kid! I'm not going to tell you again, get your toys a leave this place before you get hurt." Two more guards would begin to exit the temple to check out the commotion. The other two would stand back and watch the guard in front handle things.
"Fuck it then, this is your funeral kid. Your dead now." The guard would run at Max at a speed of 30 wit his sword in his right hand. And if the guard were to approach Max, he would swing his blade towards his stomach at a speed of 50. And if the hit were to land, Max would be seriously injured or probably dead.

Senshi followed his teamleader surprised by how slow his teammates were at following, it was probably just a fluke. Merely surprise at the technique that had been used rather than their raw ability. As he fell back he was again surprised by how slow Max was in following but deemed it due to the odd lack of strength he was feeling. Once he had taken the rear position up he continued to use his chakra pulse and also occasionally look behind him to ensure that they were not being followed by someone who could suppress their chakra. It was an odd thing to do since he had to time himself to ensure he wouldn’t run into anything or trip while checking the area behind them. When their team leader briefed them on the plan Senshi was disappointed that he wouldn’t be able to be the one approaching.
He didn’t want Max to be put into unneccesary danger but he understood the reasoning behind Itami’s choice. It was the correct one after all, and Senshi couldn’t think of any reason as to why it would be wrong. As such he kept his silence disappearing into the woods as Max approached the temple. He immediately began chakra suppressing as he moved to a location away from the others. He had headed off towards the right, it would give him the best chance of throwing a weapon at anyone who approached Max without putting Max in the way of his thrown weapons. As he entered the woods, he immediately moved to the shows before quickly jumping up the largest tree he could find until he had a solid vantage point over his fellow Genin.
He immediately pulled out two shuriken preparing himself for someone to approach his teammate. He wasn’t surprised when one of the guards began to speak. He couldn’t hear much of what he said because of the distance from Max that he was but as soon as the man began to run forwards Senshi’s hands flashed throwing both Shuriken so that one was hidden in the shadow of the other. He quickly made the ram seal activating the Shunshin no jutsu and he rushed forwards his hands moving to his sword and drawing it as he ran. He wouldn’t make it all the way to Max in time to intercept the first guard, he could only hope that his initial attack with the Shadow Shuriken technique would provide enough of a distraction to assist. Instead his target was one of the two guards that had stayed behind, the right most one to be accurate. His sword was free from its holster and as he approached the Guard he would use a basic horizontal slash.
His intent was to test the guard and see if he had the capabilities to block it or if he would move backwards away from the quickly approaching Genin. Senshi wasn;t counting on the basic slash to actually do any true damage instead he was setting himself up to use one of his basic cloud style techniques that he had learned. His blade would come back around easily into a basic guard position after his initial attack. His hazel eyes looking calculating at the area around him as he planned his next move, a chakra pulse going out from his body to check and see where his teammates were located so that he didn’t accidentally include them in his attack and injure them.

Reizo took Itami's words as law. He wasn't completely comfortable with the idea of Max going into their hideout alone, but he trusted his sensei and Max enough that he wouldn't question it further. After all, they were a team now. Itami suggested that he and Senshi take to the surrounding trees, but Reizo wasn't entirely comfortable with being that far away from Max. Reizo instead stayed on the ground and hid in a mass of bushes so he could listen in on any interactions that Max had by the entrance. Besides, Itami and Senshi were clearly faster than he was, so being closer was more of a handicap that would allow him to get in on the action at roughly the same time as they would.
The first guard confronted Max, but Reizo didn't flinch. He didn't want to blow his cover, as he felt Max's life could potentially hang in the balance here. He trusted that Max would be able to defend himself should something go awry, but he was still a little on edge. Reizo was able to pick up bits and pieces of their one sided conversation, and Reizo realized that these guards wouldn't be friendly just because Max was a child. It seemed that whatever was going on inside the temple, they were going to protect the secrets of from anyone, even innocent looking children. As the other two guards began to exit the temple as well, Reizo was convinced this plan wasn't going to work. One guard was fine for Max to handle, but three?
The first guard ran at Max, and at that moment Reizo sprang from his hideout in the bushes. He drew and through a single kunai in one motion at the guard on the left, assuming that since Senshi was closer to the right guard, he would target him. The first guard would be left to Max, as even with Reizo's close proximity he wasn't fast enough to get there in time. Reizo focused his attention on his target. He had thrown the kunai (speed 91, sharpness 86) at the leftmost guard's face, assuming he would attempt to react and dodge. If he were too slow to react, he'd just be stabbed in the face and likely die. The guard's weapon wasn't drawn yet, so blocking it was pretty much out of the question. Reizo drew his tanto just in case as he ran toward the guard. The kunai was intended to be a distraction as Reizo ran full speed and delivered a very dynamic kick to his head while the guard watched the kunai sail by his head (70 speed, 72 strength, 311/321 AP, Dynamic Entry). He hoped he didn't have to kill the guard to get by, and that the kick would be strong enough to at least knock the guy unconscious. He had drawn his tanto just in case additional force was needed, but he fully expected the kick to end the confrontation immediately.
After delivering his kick, he would turn around to see how Max and Senshi had fared, and would seek to help them if needed. Reizo would wait for Itami to give further instructions, and once they grouped up and headed further into the hideout, he would pick up his kunai along the way.

Max would walk forward as directed, catching the attention of the guards as was his current duty. The guard didn’t seem particularly pleased with an intruder, and Max continuing to approach the temple despite the threats from the guard likely only made him angrier. Good. And angry opponent is a poor opponent. It would make him prone to making mistakes, hasty judgements and would overall end in the favor of Max. The boy wasn’t too concerned, mostly because he knew that this was not his place to die. And if for some reason fate would change and decide to take his life, it would only mean the reuniting of him and his clan. A no lose scenario.
And so it had begun. The guard rushed him, moving at a decent speed but not fast enough to get the deed done. “This boy’s life isn’t yours to take.” Napa would say as he immediately springs into action, his speed much greater than that of the guard (Speed 70, Kunai drawn as he dashes forwards). Just as he was heading to meet the guard in melee combat, a shuriken whizzed towards the head of the man. *Thuck* is all that could be heard as the shuriken quickly ends his life by plunging into the skull. Blood would immediately start to pour from where the wound was as the man drops to his knees and collapses in a pool forming of his own blood.
With that guard taken care of, Max would immediately start to work his strings into Stein, the massive puppet coming “online” and moving to reinforce the others. Napa and Stein would be are the front lines with the others (Stein is about five meters away from the other two to avoid causing them any stacks of poison), while Max and his other nameless skeletal puppet would be in the back, guarding the rear from any flanking that might occur, though Max had doubted the possibility of such. To sneak up on them would require a shinobi’s training, and there was no possibility of that by such petty thieves and robbers, was there? Still Max would keep on his toes, trying to sense out the enemies with Chakra Sensory.
“You guys are very efficient.” Max says, wondering just how much stronger they had been than he was. It couldn’t be helped though. They were constantly training, and so he would have to train that much harder after this mission to be able to say he didn’t weaken the team as a whole, forcing the others to protect him.

As Itami stood there on a branch with his arms crossed. Observing the three genin as they attempted to fulfill their mission as asked. Itami watched as Kobayashi through some high speed shuriken at the guard that was in the back left. It was clear the moment he saw him that he was the most athletic one out of the three. He was most likely even stronger than Itami physically. As the shuriken hit the guard at a high speed, he was taken out easily. That was one guard down.
Next was Reizo, he saw how he quickly ran out in attempt to attack. Quickly taking out a Kunai and throwing it straight at the guards face. His kunai wasn't moving as fast as Kobayashi's shuriken, but it was still moving at a great speed. He noticed the shuriken wasn't meant to hit but was a diversion. He then moved in to use dynamic entry and kicked the guard in his head. Knocking him out immediately and either killing him or giving him a huge concussion. That guy was taken down easily.
Last but not least, Max. The most innocent one out of the group. And probably the weakest one of the bunch physically. But happens to be a puppet user. Itami never seen one in action, so this would be his first time. The puppet quickly pulled out a kunai and stabbed the man right into his face. Killing him in an instant. Blood gushing from his face as he laid there on the floor dead. All three of the guards were done. Itami would then run out of the trees and towards the three genin. Being a good 10 meters from them after running out of the trees. He would begin to walk towards them. As Itami was about to tell them the next part of the plan. Itami heard something.
"Guh... p-please... h-help......me," one of the guards said as he laid their in pain. Itami looked over at him and began to walk over towards him. It was the guard that Reizo had kicked in the face. Itami watched as he begged for help. Itami would slowly put his hands towards his neck and grab it. And then holding the guard up in the air, with the guards feet not even touching the ground. Since Itami would hold him up by the neck a little higher than his own height. Itami would then, crush the mans throat at a strength of 70. And then releasing his neck, letting the man fall straight to the ground and trying to gasp for air that was never coming. Itami would begin walking towards the temple.
"We enter the temple and capture the robbers." Itami said as began to walk towards the temple. Opening the door slowly and peaking inside to see what was in there. He heard five people in there. With his honed senses, he can tell the number of voices coming from in there. Unless there was a person not speaking. As Itami entered the temple and assuming his team is right behind him. The five enemies would look at the team as they entered.
"GET THEM!!!" One of the robbers said to the two guards. The guards would charge in a straight line, with one of them in front and one of them behind. If one of the genin tried to interfere, Itami would put his arm out to signal stay back... this one was all his. He would pull out his katana with his left hand at a speed of 125. He also added the ultra lightweight technique to his katana to make it a lot lighter so it could travel faster. But the power will go down a bit. With his Katana feeling like a feather, Itami would now through it at a speed 217 and a power of 197. The katana would travel so fast and with so much force, that it would hit the guard in front at his chest. With the force of the katana pushing him back towards the guard that was behind him. Piercing both of the guards and turning them into a kabob. The force of the sword would push both guards back into the wall with the sword breaking the moment it hit the wall. The Katana only had a health of 50, with Itami throwing it with that much power and hitting a wall, it would easily break due to its durabaility not being able to handle it.
The robbers saw what happen and were just froze. They didn't know how to sync in what just happened to their guards so easily. They couldn't even move an inch due to the fear in their hearts. And to make things worse, Itami would use display of power and giving him a +200 artifical stats. And making it seem as if he has 525 stats. A really really huge dark purple aura would be coming form Itami. The aura would form into a shape of a demon, similar to satan himself. Putting complete fear into the robbers hearts as they all dropped to the ground on their knees and fainted. Due to his genin having less than 393 artificial stats. They would also be somewhat affected by Itami's display of power. Though of course they wouldn't be nearly as scared as the robbers because they are on the same team. But they would most likely feel a dark murderous aura coming from Itami. After the guards had fainted and falling to the ground. Itami would dispel his aura.
"Alright, capture them and complete the mission." Itami would say to his team of genin. He would then wait for them to capture the guards so they can head back out and return to the village.

(Mission WC: 8779/4000)
Senshi was not aware that his shuriken had killed the man that was initially attacking Max, he was only aware of the fact that he had killed his opponent with his sword swing. He turned to check on the other two but saw that the fighting was already over. Giving a shrug he knelt down to check the pockets of the man he had killed for any gear and was disappointed to come up empty handed. He moved to the first guard that his shuriken had killed retrieving the shuriken out of the mans body and wiping them off on his clothes. After pocketing them he quickly wiped the blood off Bastuodosodo on the grass before sheathing it. He turned as his team leader spoke and gave only a slight knod of acknowledement.
He followed the man into the temple his hands moving to his weapons pouch to send a blade flying at the guards but before he could do so Itami killed them quickly and efficiently with his blade. Senshi noted small holes in his guard and the way he held the blade but other than that the man had a solid weapons stance. The blade itself was also of a rather high quality that Senshi took a moment to appreciate. He hadn’t thought that his Jounin Commander had such an ability with the blade and had simply assumed that he used it rarely. This was clearly not the case and Senshi took himself to task silently for underestimating the man.
He had to be a Jounin for a reason after all. Senshi moved as soon as Itami told them to capture the robbers, heading for the farthest one he quickly wrenched the mans hands behind his back using his knee to hit the man in the back of his knee and cause him to fall to the ground. Using his free hand he pulled out his wire and quickly wrapped it around the mans wrist before tying it off. He then forced the mans fingers to splay out. He was surprised when a loud cracking sound echoed through the room. He was decently sure he had just broken at least two of the mans fingers. Shrugging it off he tied the mans fingers together. Index finger to index finger, ring finger to ring finger and so on.
Once he had completed that he tied the mans feet together before patting him up and down the body. He was making sure that there was no weapons on the man or any papers that he could possibl used to see if someone had hired him. Finding only a few knives he discarded them due to their low quality. Once he had completed his search he lifted the man up throwing him over his shoulder before looking up to check on what his teammates were doing and see if they needed help. He walked over to Max, assuming that the smaller boy would need him to carry his prisoner as well. As he walked over he spoke to Max, his tone low and quiet as he did so. “Do you want me to carry him as well? So that way Napa and…” He paused realizing he didn’t now the other puppets name before continuing on, “the other one will be free to fight?”

Itami showed shortly after the three Genin had disposed of the guards. Reizo turned to assist Senshi and Max, but the other two guards had been soundly defeated before he knew it. The Taijutsu specialist sheathed his tanto, and then heard a grumbling from underneath him. It sounded like the guard he had struck wasn't quite dead or unconscious just yet. Reizo tried to look away from the moaning guard, trying to ignore his pleas for help. He had brought this upon himself. Reizo didn't want to kill him because he was still human or help him because he was the enemy. He also didn't want to just leave him there grovelling, however. It was a bit of a moral conundrum for Reizo until Itami took matters into his own hands. Reizo watched as Itami picked the man up by his throat and snapped his neck with just grip strength. Reizo flinched at the sound, but it was probably for the best. Rezio would have to do a better job of keeping his emotions in check on missions. Even though he didn't enjoy killing, it was certainly something he'd have to get used to, especially when fighting for his life in the arena of combat.
Reizo followed the rest of his team further into the hideout, scavenging his kunai from earlier and putting it back into his weapons pouch. When the four shinobi encountered the robbers and their two guards, Reizo prepared to unsheath his tanto once more, but was stopped by his Sensei. Itami wanted to handle the guards himself. In a blur that Reizo couldn't quite comprehend, Itami's hand went to his katana, and then the katana struck the wall, piercing two guards. He couldn't catch any of the movements. It was pretty remarkable to Reizo that his Sensei had such strength and finesse. Despite all of his training, Jounin still seemed so strong compared to himself. A loud metal sound rang out when the katana struck the wall, showering the two guards with sparks from the collision. The katana itself could not withstand the force of impact and had shattered. Reizo marveled at Itami for a brief moment, but it was quickly replaced with fear as Itami's chakra flared up. What on Earth is this power? Is this... human? There's so much malice in this wicked chakra... Itami-sensei just what did you go through to reach this point? Reizo's head filled with questions, but he didn't speak. He wanted to run, but he knew that Itami wouldn't do any harm to him. Still, the chakra was frighteningly strong. When the chakra subsided, Reizo found his own strength returning, and he moved to assist his team with apprehending the now unconscious robbers.
He followed Senshi's lead and patted the robber down for weapons, taking out any knives and other weapons he found. Once the robber was stripped of all of his possessions, Reizo would begin tying him up. He wasn't really sure what technique he should be doing to tie him up, or what knot, so Reizo just sloppily put something together using his bandages. Reizo tied the man's hands together with several revolutions of his bandages, and his feet together at the ankles in the same way. Reizo continued to do this for the man's entire body, going through an entire roll of bandages until the guy looked like a mummy, although his arms and legs would be bound to the body, leaving him no room at all to move. Reizo would even cover the man's face and eyes, except for his nose and mouth so he could breathe. Reizo had left some loose extra bandage that he could use as a handle to carry the robber, but other than that the bandages were multi-layered and tight to the body. There was no way the many was escaping after that. He had become a mummified slug, essentially. Reizo smiled and turned to his team. [color=#33ccff]"All ready to go over here. I guess we'll head back to the village now?"[/color[ he would say, lugging the man over one shoulder.

Max would watch as their commander told them to halt, seemingly wanting to handle the remaining guards himself. It would be interesting to see just what Itami was capable of. In the time that it took to blink, Itami would have not only drew his blade but also launched in into the two guards and skewered them before the blade hit the wall with a horrid clang. That alone was impressive, the abilities one needed to do such a feat were quite impressive all on their own. But then he felt it….
Itami had a dark feeling to him. His chakra aura would not only be able to be seen by those looking, but it could also be felt. A sinister feeling was all that Max would be able to get, his body freezing in place. Was Itami really so powerful? And how exactly did he come about getting so powerful? Max would have to know. Such power would make protecting the village a much simpler task. Max wanted to run, wanted to be as far away from that menacing aura as possible. He wouldn’t budge though. Max was a Yamaguchi, known for their valor and courage. If he ran away at such a feeling, he would be doing a disservice to his whole family. No, he couldn’t run. Plus, Itami wouldn’t hurt them, at least as far as Max knew.
Max would listen when he was told to tie up the guards. He had plenty of wire to wrap the guard up in. He wouldn’t need much, and so he would check the pockets of the grave robber. He found something with worn writing on it. Maybe this was so important because it was the resting place of a powerful shinobi. Maybe ancient Kumo royalty was buried here. What caused these folks to raid THIS tomb? No matter what this place had been, he knew that it would not be wise to take anything. These folks just lost their lives because of it, and so Max would place the item nearby on the ground and begin to wrap the man fairly tight around the wrists and ankles.
Hearing the cracking of the fingers of Senshi’s captive, Max considered doing the same. “If you are a shinobi, breaking your fingers would help prevent you from forming the seals needed to fight back.” Max would say out loud, wondering just what he should do. No, if I break his fingers it would only make interrogating him that much harder. One less thing to use to get answers… “I’ll just wrap your hands really tight so that you cannot make seals. Make me regret that decision and I’ll take your life, mission or not. We always have another one of you should you prove problematic.” Max was talking to someone who had been unconscious, but he didn’t seem to care.
When Senshi offered to carry the additional captive so that Max’s puppet would be able to fight should the need arise, he smile. “Thanks, yeah that would be helpful. Thanks, Senshi. Napa and Stein are most useful when they don’t have to carry prisoners. Are you going to be able to fight at all if for some reason there are more?” He would ask hoping that it wouldn’t be a hindrance on his comrade.
While Max had been in the tomb doing this, he would also be using sensory to try and detect any that they might have missed. "Yeah, I think we can head back now. Mission complete, I guess?"

After Itami took out two guards with barely any effort and made the robbers faint. He told his team to take care of the rest. The mission was just about complete for the team. For their first mission together, they did pretty well. But as shinobi, they still have a long way to go. Itami thought about his katana that he always carried around, he would have to buy another one when he gets back to the village. It would also have to be a much durable one that won't break nearly as easily as that cheap one.
As Itami watched the team capture the robbers, it seemed everything was just about done. Itami was satisfied with how the team was shaping. They are a talented bunch with a variety of skills. Which makes them a bit different from any other group. Before heading out, Itami would give a tiny speech and they would begin to head out.
"Mission complete, seems you did pretty well for your first mission together. Keep gaining more power and you'll catch up to me in no time." Itami said with a slight smirk. It was extremely rare for him to smile or even smirk at anyone. So that means he was actually impressed by their work today. As Itami turned his back and began to walk towards the exit of the temple he would speak one last time.
"I'll put the word in... you have my permission to qualify for the chunnin exams. Mission's over after we bring these guy's back to the village." Itami said as he began to head out the temple. It was probably a little too early for them to be taking chunnin exams. But its not always about skill when it came to the exams. It may be tough for them, but he is confident they'll be fine if they were to take them. If his team were to follow, they would all head back together. They can take their time back to the village since they already did what they had to do. And now the last step was to return the robbers back to the village.
Once they arrived back to the village, Itami would signal his team to return the bodies. And he would begin to walk through the village and wonder off.
(Since this mission took place before you guys took exams, think it be good if I mention it so Itami wouldn't be lost if you guy's become Chunnin)
