Sora, in a puff of smoke, turned into back to his original self. Sora was impressed himself that it worked, of course not showing it. That was his first try and he nailed it.
Next thing on his senpai list was Genjutsu release. Sora knew about genjutsu from what the academy taught. So this will dispel genjutsu? How useful when fight someone of this technique. Sora thought. Ayato then used the Genjutsu on Sora. He knew it was a genjutsu from Ayato stating it that they were working on the jutsu. Shadow of what to be the genin appeared from all over trees and rocks. Sora wasn't bothered by the obvious genjutsu. The student in response of the genjutsu was the tiger seal, which Ayato told him to use to use the jutsu. From what his senpai and the school told him was that genjutsu messed with his chakra flow. Sora imaged the flow of his chakra, which he normally did to flow his chakra more easily. He first tried to reverse the effects. The try was a failure because when he opened his eyes, the shadows were still their. He did it once more with more concentration and more power. He knew this time it worked seeing the shadows gone once he opened his eyes. Sora looks at the genin. "I broke it." He stated to him. Sora was proud of himself but, once again, hid it behind a blank face. Sora didn't know if his senpai was proud because as he is not good at expressing his own emotion it was hard for him to read others emotion.

The Academy Student reacted accordingly, he put his hands together, performed the required seal, the chakra moved rapidly through his body and the illusion Ayato had created to test him broke. Tipping him off on the Genjutsu simplified the process, it would seem. But no matter how amusing it would be to see Sora passing out from the loss of stamina by kicking and punching the illusionary clones to no end, Ayato would be the one to carry him into the infirmary.
Ayato's normally solemn facial expression gave hints on what appeared to be something uncomfortable close to amusement. The satisfaction of sharing perhaps. You don't expect gratitude or thanks because you don't give to take something in return, not even gratitude. You give because it makes you so full, that you are demanded to give. Then, if someone is grateful, then, in turn, you are grateful to the person that accepted your present. The more you share the more you have, or so someone told him.
"We are on a roll it would seem. Well done." Yet the tone in his voice would still be filled with the same cool formality as before. And instead of giving the boy a pat on the shoulder and congratulate him on a job well done, Ayato would remain stationary and make no immediate movement towards him. Again, he had to be strict, because only through discipline, one could truly mature both as a shinobi and as an individual.
"The next jutsu I'm going to show you is the substitution jutsu. It is a basic supplementary Ninjutsu. With this technique, the users replace their own body with some other object, the moment the adversary lands an attack. This object can be a block of wood or even another person. This allows the shinobi in question to quickly flee and hide or counter while the original object takes the brunt of their opponents attack." Ayato would finish in a calm tone, before reaching a hand into his weapon pouch pulling out a kunai.
"Now, I'll give you a demonstration. But first, extend your arm." Ayato asked of the Academy Student, while taking a few steps forward towards him. He understood that during classes hours, students were not allowed to carry along sharp weapons for obvious reasons. When he was in front of him, he would flip the kunai on his hand, the pointy end on the palm and the handle towards the juniors chest. "Here hold this."
The moment Sora decided to put his grip around the handle and hold the kunai in his hands Ayato would walk a good two meters away from him. "Go on, charge or throw it at me. " Ayato would say before placing his hands in front of his execute and execute the Tiger → Boar → Ox → Dog → Snake hand seals at a speed of 30, slow enough for the Academy student to follow. "And Sora, don't hold back."

Sora was grips the kunai given to him by his senpai. Sora waited for Ayato to get in good position so he could throw the kunai at him. Sora wasn't bothered by fact he was about to throw a lethal weapon at this genin, he's seen Ayato's skill so he expected that he could survive a student, like himself, throw a kunai. Sora, with out hesitation, threw the kunai at the genin's direction. As the kunai drew closer it look as if it was going to hit his senpai's face. If the kunai was to hit him it would surly kill him, even with his stength. Sora still had faith that Ayato would dodge or counter the attack.

The kid looked at Ayato with the usual blank expression on his face and took one the form to throw a kunai. They were going at it for a while and Sora Nishimata hadn't even blinked twice. The exact opposite of the loud, hyperactive Nano Goka whom the Genin had trained a few weeks before. Well, for the better more like.
Back to the matter at hand, Ayato noticed that Sora's posture lacked grace and his feet, instead of being nimble they were planted on the ground. He was tense, where he should be fluid but this was only natural for an Academy Student. There was the need for a lot of refinement, it would seem. Ayato had to make sure of that. "Practicing a movement repeatedly with bad form is promoting bad habits and severely inhibits one’s capabilities to progress as a shinobi."
As Ayato was distracted by thinking, the kunai came flying to his head, stabbing him between the eyes. The Genin was pushed back momentarily, and for a moment, with the delusion not dispelling immediately it appeared as if Sora had accidentally killed him...but the Academy Student would realise that the sound was all wrong, instead of skin and bone sliced apart from the cold touch of the tip of the kunai, there was only the splintering of wood.
With the illusion now dispelled, Ayato would spawn behind some vegetation existing in the area, the origins of the log Ayato substituted with. This was 5 or 6 feet away from where Sora stood, behind him and to his right. "I didn't give you the signal." Ayato would have let out if he wasn't a hundred percent positive that the Academy Student would fail to understand the joke. Instead, he decided it was time to finally crack an expression out of Sora's face and also showcase him the capabilities of seizing an opportunity to strike.
While the student had his back turned on him, Ayato executed the Ram hand seal with a speed of 80 and disappeared in a blur, traveling with 180 speed closing the distance with Sora Nishimata within an instant. The student was a bit further from Ayato's arms reach. But not from that of his legs. With a long but sharp exhale Ayato made a quick small step to the side with his pivotal leg and launched a powerful medium kick in front of him with a speed of 40 that traveled parallel to the ground. This kick would not actually reach Sora, but build momentum instead. Yet if Sora had managed to turn around, seeing that kick would potentially distract him and serve as a feint to either put a guard up or attempt to step back. Regardless the end result would be the same.
At the aftermath of the chakra enhanced right kick made that his body spin 180 degrees to the left, Ayato shifted his weight to his right leg. The moment the ball of right foot made contact with the ground Ayato ducked down and launched a sweeping low kick at speed of 85 that kicked up dust dirt from the courtyard in a gust of the wind. As well as Sora Nishimata who would be knocked off his feet when Ayato's leg swept his own, making contact exactly above the heel.
"Trust me, you will be thanking me later for that," Ayato said to the Academy Student as he loomed above him. "Stand up, the real training begins now."

Sora was right about what Ayato was going to do. As the Genin disappeared as wood was substituted in his place. Sora looks to behind him but to the left, he knew that his senpai was smart enough to use the jutsu to go behind him. As he was about to go look to his right his senpai appeared with amazing speed. He fell over once the force was applied above his heel. Sora but up his arms so it would make the impact to the ground less painful. His face was was close to impacting the grass filled ground. Sora slowly gets up recovering from the attack from Ayato as he said that Sora would thank him later. He wondered if he would or what would make him think that but he shows no emotion to express his thinking Now fully standing up he states. "I'm glad I didn't kill you, It would of been a shame thinking I was working with someone that could be killed by a student like me." He dusts off his cloak, with its black color it was easy for it see the dirty parts. As normal he looked at his senpai to see further instructions.

The Academy Student let out as he rose to his feet, wiping the dust of his cloak and pants with his hands. Ayato aimed to draw a reaction out of Sora Nishimata with his surprise attack, yet it would seem he had his hopes up for nothing. The lad's face was a mask, still and pale, betraying nothing. "I'm glad I didn't kill you, It would have been a shame thinking I was working with someone that could be killed by a student like me." He let out, if that was a jest or not it was hard to tell. If it was indeed one, it would be reassuring to know that the concept of humor applied to Sora Nishimata, even if it was a bad one. If not...then that would mean that Sora knew Ayato was distracted by thinking, yet he threw the kunai to his face anyway. Regardless, Ayato decided he liked Sora Nishimata, the camera that rides.
"The technique I used was the Body Flicker. It allows the user to travel short or long distances with untraceable speed. An observer may parallel this with teleportation and rightfully so, since it may give that impression yet it actually slightly different than that. To get the boost you have to focus the chakra on your feet. Then the stored chakra is used to vitalize the body and move at extreme speed. With the Body Flicker you can dodge an upcoming attack, close the distance and land one of your own but in the end, it all comes to how fast you move from point A to point B. Allow me to demonstrate, this time with you looking at me."
Ayato put his right hand in front of him, his index and middle fingers pointing upwards for the Boar hand seal. As he did, he remembered the first time he attempted the Body Flicker. How he tried to stop and one leg tripped on another and his face almost met the ground if he had not managed to sneak in an arm in there just in time. Ayato was green as the grass, he and the student were stepping on back then. But that was the past and now he was certain he had grown since then. Closing his eyes he proceeded to direct the flow of his chakra towards his feet. The process lasted for over a minute. Opening his eyes he widened the distance between his legs by placing his left foot forward. He started to run in circles with a speed of 45 in order to build his momentum, "Body Flicker!" releasing the technique he moved forward in a powerful burst of 180 speed. Dust shooting up whenever he stepped. It is very unlikely his eyes are going catch up with my movements but I think I explained everything thoroughly. He thought proudly of his teaching as the air current was brushing against his face. Ayato would land 5 meters away from where Sora stood and then turn to face the Academy Student once again.
"This is a D-rank technique but you should not the let the rank fool you. This jutsu can be the deciding factor in a battle. You've seen so for yourself." A frown appeared across Ayato's brow.

Sora liked Ayato, but like always, never showed it. He appreciated the genin skill to get straight to the point. Sora knew with this man he could get stronger. He was also sure there was more than Ayato that could make him stronger. One thing he was upset about is that he wasn't learning any elemental jutsu. He knew he was a lighting style user but he knew no jutsu with that element.
Sora listen to the next jutsu they were going to learn. "Body Flicker!" He heard his senpai say as he demonstrated the jutsu in front of the student. Sora could see him in detail but he knew he was moving extremely fast. Sora guess that because of the genin's great chakra he was able to put a lot of it into his speed, which made him go to the speed he did.
Sora than heard from his senpai."This is a D-rank technique but you should not the let the rank fool you. This jutsu can be the deciding factor in a battle. You've seen so for yourself." Sora wondered if the reason he said that was because he had experience with the techinque being the final blow. Of course this was just a theory that he wouldn't say aloud.
The next thing Sora did was hands the the boar position. He thought about how the jutsu worked. He knew that it used chakra to boost speed, which was going to be much for Sora with his speed and chakra still being low on a power scale, especially compared to Ayato. He used the flow of chakra threw his body, like he has many times today. The first time was a failure, which Sora greatly despised. The next time thought he moved at a speed of 18. thought he had used the jutsu, he only went half the distance his senpai. He was a little embarrassed and disappointed but he masked it with his blank face looking down.

Ayato didn't miss the disappointment in Sora's eyes even if he did his best to hide it. But he would not take any action to pat him on the back. He knew from his own experience that this was the part that hurt the most. But in truth, if Ayato was to recall his own years in the Academy and in comparison, Sora Nishimata was faring better than Ayato could ever hope. Using techniques such as Genjutsu release or the body flicker for Ayato was unmarked territory till later in his Genin career. And that was thanks to Kyousuke Snow, but His sensei had left the city and had not returned as of yet. No doubt, it would be better if a shinobi of higher prestige could lecture Sora Nishimata, but for now, Ayato was all he had.
Few more minutes to allow the student to catch his breath Ayato would proceed to explain the next jutsu of the day. "The name of this technique is Flicker Movement and is also a D-rank. It operates similarly to Body Flicker as well, but instead of increasing one's speed momentarily, it works by slowing time around yourself. This means you have to channel the chakra to the brain and change your own perception of time. " Ayato put his fingers together visualized the blue streams of chakra flowing from the chakra network within his body upwards to the brain. Releasing the technique nothing seemed to happen at first, but then extended an arm in a punching motion as sharp as a whip. As he did, the arm seemed to be separated into numerous other extending into different directions than the original one. "You'll know you have succeeded when the world will appear to be a different place. Everything will move slower without any clear sound giving you the impression as if you have submerged deep underwater." Ayato could best describe the phenomenon.
At the same time, he felt the need to showcase how the increase in speed would befit one's reaction time. Deciding to go for his weapon buckled on his belt and across his lower back, Ayato touched the hilt of the tanto and pulled it out from the sheath. The naked blade brushing gently against the wood. Ayato played with the grip, and after a few moments, he threw the Tanto up to the sky. It was possible that from Sora's point of view, the rotation would make the naked blade appear as a silver spinning disk. However, the same could not be said for Ayato who was under the effects of flicker movement. The sword went upwards in slow spinning motion, afterimages trailing behind it with a soft swishing sound. As it started to descend Ayato extended his arm and caught the spinning blade from the handle. "Even if you successfully execute the Flicker Movement, don't try anything overly complicated. What I did was only an exhibition to show you how it increased the reaction time of your movements. For now, I suggest sticking to punches."

Sora had never heard the of the jutsu until now. "...It operates similarly to Body Flicker as well, but instead of increasing one's speed momentarily, it works by slowing time around yourself." Was something that Sora picked up the most. He started to think of all the great things he could do with that justu. "...This means you have to channel the chakra to the brain and change your own perception of time." Ayato explained further. Sora watches Ayato's demonstration, which just looked like he punched really fast but he knew from what was told about it that there was more than that.
After a little more was said Sora put his hands like the genin did in his demonstration. The flowed the chakra to his brain area, which like the rest, wasn't that hard for him. He did close his eyes to allow him to see how he was going to do this. Once he thought he got it he threw a punch, but every thing still seemed normal. With out hesitation he does it again. This time envisioned some thing else to help him. He opens his eyes and threw a punch again.
Sora does this a couple more times. He then feels that the next one was going to be the one to get it. As he did the same routine this time he envisioned time being like water suddenly slowing down. With this in mind, Sora threw one more punch. From all the punches his arm was getting tired. Sora was surprised what he saw next. His arm moving in slow motion like water slowing down in his vision. The motion was was pretty cool Sora thought. His punch was a lot Ayato. The jutsu stopped and he looked at his senpai. "I have to admit, that was cool." He looks at his hand moving in normal motion. He didn't show anymore emotion after that. Sora didn't really relized that he expressed his feeling out loud.
