If it had been a kunai or shuriken it has been a different case. A different case indeed. But not in regards to damage done by the flying rock projectile that under normal circumstances with would be sharp and pointed, but more on the coherence of Sora's actions. His miscalculation was bad, failing to react accordingly. But hey wait a second didn't Sora kick the clone as Ayato told him to. Yet, he acted as if nothing had happened after his kick that stroke the clone, which would actually bring two more clones in the place of the clone destroyed by the kick.

Also, the seconds part, acted as if he could see or sense Ayato throwing the rock at him, while the Hyuuga was hiding behind the clones. Perhaps Sora could sense Ayato somehow, however, Sora didn't have such skill as far as Ayato knew. Again, Sora wasn't careful. Today it didn't matter and Ayato didn't care all that much to be completely honest. But when inc combat with an opponent such miscalculation was bound to give the opponent the ability to discrediting Sora's action and even nullify it completely.

Regardless their training was going great and they were in a groove. Making such an observation or scolding Sora was risky and could potentially break their rhythm. As such Ayato decided to move on with the explanation of Genjutsu and how it worked. He could address this another time. Ayato showcasing it first and explaining the advantages did more than intended. He needed to show Sora how it was efficient to draw the kids attention. Hell with Sora failing to react accordingly to the Genjutsu even though he knew full well he was within a genjutsu, proved just that.

"Do you know why genjutsu is rarely used?" Ayato asked politely, his eyes captivated on the setting sun. But he wasn't expecting a respond. He was going to ask his own question with his own words. Sora would not know the answer. Something is learned with experienced, not by attending classes or reading scrolls."Naturally, most shinobi prefer the real, tangible effects or ninjutsu and taijutsu. Perhaps even weapons that can supposedly slay the gods of time and space themselves. All of them are preferred over the imagined effects of genjutsu. " Ayato paused for a moment to catch his breath, in order to make sure that his mouth and tongue would not dry from an excessive dialogue.

"Genjutsu are also difficult to perform because there are high barriers to learning. Such as requiring precision in the chakra control in order to manipulate the target's senses and make the illusion realistic. Most shinobi lack the requested to do so, myself included." Ayato stated cooly and then turned to meet Sora Nishimata's gaze. "But this jutsu is simple enough for even non-experts to be able to use it. Don't see why you can't. First, you need to control the chakra flow on the target system's and affect his five senses. Then the false images within his mind are going to appear." Ayato finished, waiting for Sora Nishimata to do as he was told this time.

Sora listen to Ayato."Naturally, most shinobi prefer the real, tangible effects or ninjutsu and taijutsu." Ayato said to the student. Sora understood what Ayato said. After he explains the why genjutsu isn't really preferred in ninja, he understood why. Sora liked ninjutsu because of the physical power it could create. Chakra was a power thing indeed, Sora thought thinking he was lucky being able to use the power.

Ayato said that triggered Sora's next action. He closed his eyes and mimicked the hand signs that Ayato senpai used in his demonstration. He used his chakra to mess with Ayato, using him once again as the rag doll. He felt Ayato strong chakra as he went to go toy with it's senses. He opens his eyes and imagines his chakra going to his eyes, ears, skin, tongue and nose. He didn't really know when Ayato was going to be in the genjutsu but he waited upon further instructions.

“Well done, the Genjutsu worked. Now let’s move on to something that you are actually willing to learn. However, before going breathing fire like a dragon or summoning castles out of the dirt, I ought to give you a revision on how this actually works” Ayato let out with the usual dry tone he did when he was not amused. With only his thought, Ayato broke the genjutsu of the eyrie black illusionary clones - this was only possible due to mastery of the Genjutsu Release- and proceeded to address the kid again." Ayato paused for a minute and then proceeded to talk again. " You have to use your chakra control to alter the properties and characteristics of one’s chakra to be used in an elemental technique. This process is known as nature transformation.

Ayato paused and placed a fist beneath that chiseled jawline of his"There are five main element as you most likely know. Fire, Wind, Earth, Lighting and Water, each one is naturally weaker and stronger than another. Each person is born with an affinity. I have the Fire Affinity myself." Ayato said with a calm tone. "But I'm betting you are more interested in learning what type of element you have.” Ayato would reach his pocket and pull out a small parchment of paper.

This paper was not a letter or a grocery list but actually, the Chakra induction paper used to determine a person's affinity. Now it seemed awfully convenient for Ayato to be carrying one with him, which in turn didn't make much sense since it was established before that he did not expect to be teaching someone today. Unless the young Hyuuga made a habit of walking around town asking people to touch his paper like a creep, which he certainly didn't. But all truths spoken and unspoken would be answered with one word. ~~Magic~~ Ninjutsu. Ayato didn't actually have the chakra induction paper in his pocket a minute ago but summoned it there with a jutsu known as storage displacement.

Well, there was one more question left unanswered. Why would he need to put his hand in his pockets then if he could summon the paper from a different space? Was there a secret portal to his desk? Oh, that's actually two, but the answer for both would be the same - NO. Ayato purposely did not let Sora see as in not to break the kid's attention away from what they were currently doing - which seriously required a lot of focus. "Sora, if this paper exposed to even the slightest hint of chakra, it reacts according to the chakra's latent element. It will ignite and turn to ash for fire, split in two for wind, wrinkle for lighting, wet and damp for water and finally turn to dirt and crumble, for earth." Ayato explained and handed the paper to Sora. "Now let's see what happens."

Sora did not like the fact that Ayato thought he was ignorant enough not to know the elemental circle with fire, water, wind, earth and lighting. This was all basic academy text book knowledge, which he knew very well. In fact, Sora knew the weaknesses and strengths of each jutsu. Fire is weak to water, Water was weak to Earth, Earth was weak to lighting, lighting was weak to wind and finally wind was weak to fire. With that knowledge he also knew some strengths like wind style jutsu can be ignited with fire style and water style can be electrified with lighting style. Even though Sora was annoyed with Ayato, he let him continue as he still focused on what he said.

Then Ayato pulls out a peice of paper after he said they needed to find out what element he had. Sora did just realize that he didn't know his element before asking Ayato to help him with a jutsu. "...It will ignite and turn to ash for fire, split in two for wind, wrinkle for lighting, wet and damp for water and finally turn to dirt and crumble, for earth." Ayato explained. Sora was a bit excited to see his ability he possessed. Would it be fire so he could incinerate foes? Or would it wind so he could slice through anything in his path? Or would it be water were he could wash away others? Or Lighting so he could electrocute opponents? Or, lastly, earth so he could crush obstacles. Though with the excitement in his mind, he face showed nothing of it.

Sora grabs the piece of paper that Ayato pulled out. He put some chakra into the slip of paper to see what would happen, would it burn? Would it split? Would it wrinkle? Would it dampen? Or would it turn to dirt? He answer to that question came from the paper as it would wrinkle up, meaning he was lighting.

Sora remembered reading about lighting style. He liked what he got as it was a powerful chakra nature with powerful ninjutsu to follow. The one thing that worried him was that he wondered if Ayato could teach him as he was a fire nature. How unfortunate if the wasn't able to help him with his element.
