The Fiery Whirlpool (NK, P, Sora)

Niran moved into the training field on the rather dreary, cloudy day. It wasn’t snowing, the air was dry, but cold as was expected in the mountains. He moved onto the field and knelt down in a meditative position and began to focus heavily on his fire chakra. He wanted to try to make it stronger, he wanted to learn to be able to focus it into the strength of a raging inferno in an instant without the need of an emotional trigger. He closed his eyes and took deep breathes as he focused on the raging fury that ran throughout his chakra system, begging to be released into the world. He brought forth the fire chakra and let it burst from him, surrounding him in a orange sphere of chakra as it shoot out of him and circled around him in a wild manner. It acted as if it were fire, wild, yet controlled. But it wouldn’t burn it’s master, oh no. Niran would stand up abruptly and bring the chakra back into him quickly, flashing through two familiar hand seals and taking a deep breath. He would then unleash a brutally hot stream of fire that would extend twenty meters in front him. Easily the hottest and deadliest fireball jutsu he had ever used. When the jutsu ended he would nod his head in satisfaction at the technique.

Sora Uzumaki was strolling down the road. He was wearing black sweat pants and a coal black hoodie. The boy would gently nod to the beat in his head as he was just hanging out today. His headband was in his pocket as the cold metal would totally freeze his skin off (Sora seems to exaggerate a lot).

The last thing Sora expected when he was traveling today was an orb of fire to surround a man that looked familiar and then for that man to perform one deadly fireball jutsu. As the fire cleared Sora could see into the man’s eyes, they were flames. It all came to him in a second; this was Niran, his teammate!

“Niran, hey, what’s up?” Sora called out as he ran over to the boy with a smile on his face. It was a cold and chilly day, once again, but then coming near Niran literally warmed him up. It seemed that the Meijin was doing great with learning about his bloodline. “How are you doing today? It’s kind of cold out but you’ve seemed to warm up the entire place. I don’t even have to activate Inner Flame.” Sora said with a smile on his face.

He’d look over the burnt landscape with a smile. It seemed that everyone in Kumogakure was getting stronger, heck Reizo and Komori had just turned Chuunin making it an astounding rate of four Chuunin in the village. Now that he says that in his mind it doesn’t really sound astounding, but Kumo was becoming a force to reckon with.

Sora would stop looking at the ground back up to Niran, “So, do you want to train or something? I could help you harness some fire jutsu, or we could even make some collaboration jutsu.

He’d try to use puppy eyes to convince his older teammate

Niran would raise an eyebrow at his ever exuberant teammate and chuckle at his usual energy. He would give the idea some consideration for a moment, mulling it over in his head for a few minutes. Unlike last time he actually had the time today. After all he only came out to train. He could indulge his younger teammate. The hardest part would be not to understand the boy. He was still a trained killer and that meant taking him seriously throughout the entire process. He would harden his gaze, with the exception of a small amount of mirth mixed in and grin. “Sure, we can spar if you think you can keep up with me.” He would reply with a challenging smirk and crack his knuckles. What say..No Kunai or Shuriken, lest we seriously injure ourselves with no medic. Otherwise, let’s just go at it until we’re exhausted. We can get some food later if you do well, my treat.” He’d challenge the boy to the bet in order to excite him. In a reality he had already started the spar. If he could get the kid gunning for something he’d start letting it affect him in combat. Making him predictable. It was a low blow, and a cheap way to win, but a shinobi uses every advantage he can.

Sora almost jumped in joy at the fact that he wanted to spar. “Okay, let’s do this Niran.” He’d start walking but then turn back with a smirk, “That is if you can keep up with me.” He spun around with a kick aimed towards his hip. The boy hoped he was faster than Niran so that his attack would connect. If it did hit Niran would be sent sideways into the snow or stumbling if he caught himself.

If it hit then Sora would rush forward no matter if he was on the floor or still standing and use Dynamic Entry, a flying kick, to attack Niran. He was going to use him as a springboard but then learned from his spar with Komon that it was a bad idea. The boy would fall straight to the floor in a crouch and rush forward.

He encased his fist in lightning chakra as he used the Ration Uppercut jutsu to attack Niran below his chin and hopefully send him flying.

The boy seemed excited to spar with him and immediately jumped into action by doing a spinning kick toward where his hip would be as Niran performed a couple of hand seals. He didn’t know what the boy was doing or what was wrong with his depth perception, but he threw the kick when he was just out of range to actually land the thing. And so Niran’s two hand seals were easily completed as he breathed a stream of fire at the boy from point blank range. Because the boy would have had to complete the spin after the kick missed the attack was almost certain to hit him full on. . He didn’t understand what had gotten into the kid’s head, to get so excited about a spar that you don’t even realize how close you are, or aren’t to the opponent. He would need to bring this up to Senshi later, lest he do this in actual combat. The fireball attack would end and Niran would wait a moment for the boy to get into position from when he had messed up. He shook his head forlornly at the boy before letting his own thoughts go for a moment, but keeping his guard up completely in case the boy recovered faster than expected and tried to attack him.

He was still working on that taijutsu technique, The Flaming Impact fist. It would be quite interesting if he managed to get it right during this spar and tag the boy with it when he hadn’t quite gotten it down yet. He could imagine the kid’s reaction being priceless. He would take a few deep breaths before getting his mind back into gear. He could practice that move when the kid was up and about after all. He did need to make sure he didn’t die beforehand after all. He wondered if Senshi would be mad if her melted the kid alive by accident because of his jutsu. He shrugged, he might be finding out after all.

The fire stream would've connected with Sora if he hadn't brought out all ten of his chakra chains and blocked the fire stream. The fire stream was strong, but not strong enough to break his chains, but the power of the jutsu was able to push him far away all twenty meters. As the fire dissipated his chains did as well, and without the momentum of the jutsu he fell to the floor and rolled so he could recover quickly. The boy wiped his forehead as he crouched there trying to recover his breath. He was sweating furiously because of the fact he was so close to the Great Fireball jutsu. The boy wasn't finished yet, he couldn't lose here! With that though in his mind Sora took off once again.

He didn't waste any time charging forward; with Sora's speed, he thought it would've been too fast for the boy to see as Sora had just gotten an extra wind from kicking himself off the ground. He had closed the distance between them in a second with a smile on his face that he was doing pretty good. Sora though there would've been no way to dodge it at the distance they were away from each other, but the boy was naive and foolish, he still needed to learn. If Sora's attack connected he'd yell with a cheer as Niran would be sent flying a meter backward, but a chakra chain would shot out of his hand and catch him mid-air and bring him back and punch him in the stomach this time.

From the force of the pull, the laws of motion, and gravity, the boy would've been sent flying farther from being pulled all the way into the punch, the boy would be sent about ten meters away from Sora, and the boy would wait there in anticipation. If he kept this up there was no way he could've lost.

Niran smirked at Sora’s quick thinking with thinking with his chakra chains. It had been a clever use of them indeed and he had been impressed with the ingenuity. He raised an eyebrow at Sora as he dashed forward to get in range to strike. Niran saw the attack coming from a mile away, from that distance. ‘Closing the distance head on isn’t the brightest idea in my opinion..but hey, he’ll learn the hard way.’’ He thought as he quickly ran through two hand seals, Ram and Tiger, due to the simplicity of the two and how well they flowed into each other he would easily be able to perform them before Sora reached him. He then raised his hand and caught the punch the boy had thrown. Due to speed and momentum the power of the blow would be enough to push him back a foot or two. As this happened the technique he used just moments prior would activate. He had a tight hold on the boys hand and Niran’s muscles would begin to glow an angry red as the fire chakra flowed through his muscles increasing his speed and strength through thermal expansion. He’d then yank the boy closer and throw a devastating punch to the boys jaw. If the blow hit fire would explode from the end of his fist and engulf the impact point in flames causing enough damage to cause the kid to need immediate medical attention. If not however Niran would throw the kid away from him, gaining some distance for his much more powerful long ranged attacks.

He could feel the fire chakra had melded perfectly with his muscles when he performed the technique, so he knew he’d managed to complete it. This meant he had a decent technique that he would be able to use to fight with opponents that closed the gap into hand to hand combat. He would need more techniques to try and take care of such a glaring weakness. But at least he wouldn’t be as defenseless as he once was. He could feel the fire chakra running through his system, could it’s fury being held back by his own weakness. He would need to get strong enough to unleash its full might, and soon. He wanted to world to know of the true power fire had. That would all come soon however. He would turn toward Sora now if the kid hadn’t gotten hit by his Flaming Impact Fist. He would then channel chakra into his eyes, knowing that they naturally turned from red, to yellow, to orange and every combination in between. The chakra would hopefully make them glow to try and intimidate the kid into making a mistake. One which Niran would only gladly make use of in the fight. He would keep a watchful eye on Sora, making sure he wouldn’t be caught by surprise by his overly energetic teammate.

His first mistake was grabbing the Uzumaki's hand. As soon as he saw the dangerous encasement of fire chakra in his hand he knew he had to get out of here. Sora visibly flinched, he didn't want to do this to his teammate but if he got his by this it'd hurt more than hell itself. Sora didn't waste anytime sprouting a chain from his arm. It flew toward and entangled the fist with fire chakra surrounding it. Sora smirked as an idea came to him.

Sora was immature, most people that met him knew that, so that's why he was grinning like a mad man as lightning chakra filled his hand and he threw his punch as well. The only thought running through his mind was this was going to be so awesome!

"Raiton: Jodan (Uppercut)!" Their two fists would meet and explode, logically sending the two flying. Sora groaned as he got up and looked at Niran to see how he was fairing from the knockback.

Niran would feel his eyes widen as Sora encased his aim in lightning chakra and met his fist with his in what could only be considered the ultimate fist bump for a child his age. They both shot back from one another, as far as the chain Sora attached the him would allow. This would really cause any extra damage, in fact it would mitigate it because it would keep them both from flying back too far and getting hurt from the impact of whatever they could hit. Niran would get up quickly, and allow Sora the same courtesy. It was still just a spar after all and they had to remember that when fighting. ‘That was certainly not a fun experience…’ He would think as he looked down at his fist. ‘At least the technique worked well..’ He would add as an afterthought before squaring his shoulders and preparing for his next technique. “You gonna get up or just lay there staring at clouds all day?” He’d call out with a smirk. He wanted to try to bait Sora into rushing him again. If he did he’d have a nice little fire technique waiting for him to run into.
