Re: Ryuzaki's training (Invite only)

Ryuzaki actually came back to his little training grounds with a new scroll tucked into his bag, this one was completely different from the others as it touched on something he had very little knowledge in and that was space and time. This seemed like a very complicated style of jutsu and he had little to work with, Ryuzaki had never expected that ninja were able to use things like space and time as well as the elements, was space and time considered an element he wondered. What exactly was considered an element?, was it something that existed as a purely natural state?, space existed out there on it's own but so did the moon, was the moon an element then or a part of space?. No the moon would be earth right? but the moon isn't made of earth right?, it had rocks but they were moon rocks so was it still technically earth?, Ryu's brain was beginning to hurt as he tried to think of answers to these questions. Instead of continuing along this path he decided to start reading the scroll with the technique assuming the technique would be easier to learn than answering these types of questions.
As he read the technique's description within the scroll Ryu felt like it was very familiar in some ways, he couldn't quite place his finger on it though until finally it hit him and he snapped his fingers, "like the body flicker", he said to himself. The technique was similar yet very different, this one offered a speed boost but not so severe that he would be unable to do anything, in that way it was superior to the body flicker technique, the disadvantage was the level of speed but the increase in one's reaction time held significant value. Ryu stood from his sitting position and began moving his hands slowly, rat boar, rat boar, rat boar, over and over he made these seals without using his chakra ingraining them into his memory. His hands began moving faster and faster until finally he activated the pleasant burning sensation of his chakra coursing through his body, he took off but found himself moving at the same speed as before. So the method wasn't the same as the body flicker even though it had similar increases, this would change things he thought to himself as he tried again to move with the flicker technique.
This technique seemed more complicated to Ryu so he began controlling his chakra with a bit more finesse, his chakra circulated through his body slowly, this technique used time and time was just a perception within his mind right?. Time was only what we as humans made it, without us giving time a number it was just endless, Ryu shook his head as he began moving forward slowly, the world seemed to slow down around him as he began walking. Yet time existed long before man did, it was arrogance to believe that we were the creators or the masters of such a powerful thing, Ryu could tell that time was moving differently around hm yet he could also tell that he was not moving as fast as he should be. His speed was still at normal levels because he had focused too much on the time aspect letting the chakra control in his body lessen, the result was his mind's time was moving differently than his body's was, it was a bit disorienting to the young man as it was his first time and he quickly dispersed the chakra.
The world seemed to move at a much faster pace all of the sudden and he felt a bit sick to his stomach like someone just getting off a train or a boat, he closed his eyes to calm himself down before he attempted to try such a thing again. Speed and time needed to work together to make this work properly he thought to himself as he attempted it once more, his eyes closing as his chakra circulated through his body rapidly and once the feeling reached it's peak Ryuzaki opened his amber colored eyes. The world seemed to slow down and his body felt electrified, he reached down slowly, was it actually slow though?, he wasn't sure as he grabbed a rock and tossed it into the air and began watching it fall in a much slower fashion. This was incredible he thought to himself as he spun around on the ground with one foot lifting up as he did so, as the spin finished Ryuzaki kicked the rock out of mid air like it was nothing, even flying away from him it seemed much slower than before.
Ryuzaki felt like he could have chased after the rock and still caught it before it hit the ground, this feel was incredible yet as he was thinking this the feel disappeared and the rock feel to the ground. Ryu felt like he had been forcefully pulled out of time all of the sudden and it was definitely an unpleasant feelings, Ryu had underestimated the cost of such a technique. He hadn't kept the flow of his chakra strong enough to keep the technique going which resulted in him being pulled out of it all of the suddenly, his hands formed the rat boar seals as he reactivated the jutsu almost immediately before beginning to walk. He kept a normal pace but he could tell that he was walking faster than normal, as he moved his hands around he see faint images that confused him for a moment. He remembered that the technique would leave faint after images of the user behind, he really wanted to know what it looked like as a whole body after image even if it was faint it must be interesting looking.
This time he kept the flow of his chakra very consistent so he would not have the technique deactivate before he wanted it to, he walked around looking at things like the bugs around him and the movement of dust in the wind and he found it to be fascinating. If one mastered the art of space and time would they be unstoppable?, could they walk through the world as if everyone else was in slow motion?, was it possible to go backwards or forwards in time?. The very idea of such power sent shivers down Ryu's spine, that was a very powerful force and dangerous yet very enticing at the same time, the things one could do with such a power were nearly unimaginable. Ryuzaki walked around like this for a while contemplating space and time in many ways, was space as infinite as time?, did time exist without everything else?, would time ever cease to exist?. Could one truly control either space or time?, weren't the very existences of these things far beyond the scope of mere mortals?, if one was immortal did time cease to have power for them as the concept of time meant nothing to them?. This went on until Ryuzaki felt he could no longer maintain this state of mind or body, he walked away from the training grounds feeling as if he were on the verge of understanding something completely new to him, if only he knew what he was coming to understand then he would actually be able to use the knowledge.

Ryu came walking up to his little training grounds with the cloth bag over his shoulder holding some new scrolls like always, he pulled one out and sat down before beginning to read the scroll in order to understand the technique better. This technique was a puppet technique using ventriloquism which was something he had never heard of before, the puppet part at least as he was used to the little puppets that were only good for kids shows, no killer robot type puppets. This particular technique also allowed him to change his voice into the voice of anyone he had ever heard using chakra with his vocal cords, that could be fun and useful at the same time Ryuzaki thought to himself. Ryuzaki set the scroll down and activated his chakra centralizing it around his throat, it was an odd feeling, Ryu opened his mouth "HI!", holy crap that was loud Ryu thought to himself before slapping his hands over his ears like that would do anything after the loud noise had already happened.
Okay so that had not worked the way that he wanted it to of course, he frowned as he activated his chakra once again and spoke a bit more softly this time as he wasn't looking forward to causing his ears to ring again. Unfortunately this time his chakra had the opposite effect and when he tried to speak all that came out was a near noiseless whine, he tried again and the effect was the same so he quickly dispersed the chakra in his system so he could actually speak again. Okay okay slow it down and think more about this, Ryuzaki's biggest problem when confronting these new jutsu was that he tended to only adjust a tiny bit expecting a significant change or just a straight solution to the problem. He needed to think about this more and adjust accordingly, rather than just going at this one attempt at a time Ryu was going to adjust while using the technique, his mouth opened again and this time his voice projected outwards a few feet as if there was someone else in front of his speaking.
"Hey you", it was so weird as he was the one saying the words yet it was the air in front of him that sounded like the one speaking them towards him, kind of creepy if he was being honest with himself. He adjusted his chakra bit more as the voice sounded a bit weaker as if he were tired or barely talking, "hey you", that one came out clearer for him. He then decided to try changing his voice to Sora's who he met a little while back "the itsy bitsy spider", oh god it was super squeaky as if Sora had been sucking on helium which was not a good thing. He cleared his throat before speaking up again, "Sora uzumaki here checking in", yes that one definitely sounded better to Ryu, it was less squeaky and could actually be understood by most people he felt like. Now he changed his voice to that of Reizo who had watched over him during the genin exam, "hey yo I'm muscle man", god the voice was way too deep try again he scolded himself.
"Squat and thrust, squat and thrust", this time his voice was better, less deep but still that tone that Reizo had when he heard him in the genin exam, he was feeling pretty good about this so he began throwing his voice all over the place saying random things in different voices until he decided to leave for the day.

Re: Ryuzaki's training (Invite only)

Today was Ryu's first time here with his weapons, newly purchased with weapons that he paid with ryo he had gotten from his missions, which was a good thing because today was the first time that Ryuzaki was going to be learning a weaponry tech. He had chosen the weaponry specialty shortly after passing the genin exams because he felt like that was the thing that resonated with him the most, today he was learning the useful and deceitful shadow shuriken technique. The scroll he brought with him said that this technique was used best with the fuuma shuriken but unfortunately Ryu currently only had one of those as they were pretty damn expensive to buy, so he was going to work with the regular sized shuriken instead today and apply that to fuuma shuriken later. Seemed like a pretty straight forward way of doing things but it could be useful on the battlefield if you managed to surprise the enemy, even if they dodged if they were flustered you could take advantage of them in that moment.
Ryuzaki reached into his new weapon pouches enjoying the feeling of his new items before grasping the coldness of the shuriken, he pulled them out taking a moment to enjoy the looks of his weapons, he tossed them in the air and then snatched them up before lowering his stance. His arms moved like whips as he threw the shuriken with all of his strength, the metal whistled through the air violently yet almost instantly Ryu could see that rather than one hiding in the shadow of the other they were nearly side by side to each other. That wasn't going to work he thought to himself as he watched them fall to the ground eventually, instead of going to pick them up he pulled out another two and launched them at full strength trying to see if he could change anything about what he did. Unfortunately he ended up with a very similar result and this caused him to furrow his brows as he began trying to think about how to approach this, he walked over to the four shuriken to pick them up and wipe the dirt off them as if having dirt on them made them less useful.
Throwing them at the same time wasn't the best way to go about things he told himself as he adjust his power when he launched them this time, this time one was behind the other but they were about at the same level so one didn't blend in. It was about not that Ryu realized he was approaching this completely wrong, if he were to use two hands to throw two shuriken then even if he did it perfectly it would be obvious to whoever saw it that he was throwing two shuriken. Such a naive way of approaching this technique he thought to himself as he puled out another two shuriken, he held one shuriken between his thumb and finger and the other between two of his fingers and whipped his hand out without a word. The first shuriken was followed by the second almost instantly however because he wasn't used to throwing like this the second shuriken was too slow, he retrieved all four before trying again, this time throwing a bit faster but it was still too slow to hide in the shadow of the first one.
Ryu honestly couldn't figure out what he was doing wrong, he tried several times but it didn't seem like he was making any progress in this area, he sat down closing his eyes to think to himself as he often did in cases like this. A new method was obviously necessary if he wanted to complete this technique in order to use it properly in battle, Ryuzaki sat there for a while basically meditating on the answer trying to come up with some super secret awesome solution. In the end there didn't seem to be one other than trying a bunch of different things until one worked for him, so that is what Ryuzaki began doing, he threw the shuriken from one hand in multiple ways trying to find the perfect throwing method for him. It was probably like everything else with different people there was a different method to doing things, if he approached it the same way that other people did that didn't necessarily mean he could do it the same way every time, he went about this for hours just tossing the shuriken out and retrieving them.
By the time Ryu found a throwing style that suited him best he must have thrown these things at least a thousand times but he managed to get it down finally, the shuriken behind was almost completely in the shadow of the first. Each throw got him closer and closer to completing the technique until finally he had it almost perfect every single time, he grinned confidently to himself as he began moving while doing this to increase his proficiency with the technique. He was running, jumping, even rolling while throwing the shuriken now keeping the second in the shadow of the first making it difficult for even him to see the second one sometimes and he knew the thing was there. Ryu could feel himself getting tired after doing this for quite some time, some people would have found it boring to keep doing the same thing for hours and hours but not Ryuzaki, he was so focused on his task at the moment he might not have noticed someone even if they called out to him.
After recovering from another roll he could feel his back moist with sweat, his clothes were covered in dirt, he could smell himself and it was not a pleasant smell, he was sure if someone else was around they'd tell him to take a shower. He wouldn't blame them if they said it either as it was pretty true, he decided to call it quits for the day and grab up his shuriken, he cleaned them off once again before putting them back into his pouch and walked off.

Today Ryuzaki arrived with more scrolls than ever before as he was upping the level of training that he was doing, the more he learned about the way of the ninja to more he realized he was nothing but a speck in this world. His knowledge and skills were pathetically low and he needed to become stronger in order to enforce his own existence in this world, if he continued to stay at this low level he would be wiped from the face of this earth with little remembrance. Ryuzaki set his bag down and opened it up pulling out the first of his scrolls to read, the first technique today was the mist servant technique which was a genjutsu and also the very first genjutsu that Ryuzaki would ever be tangling with so he expected a slightly new experience. The technique seemed similar to the clone technique yet this one created clones that would multiple when they were destroyed rather than just disappearing like the clone technique clones did, they also could be used more easily for deceitful tactics.
This technique would work very well with his ventriloquism technique, they had a creepy effect of moving slowly and ghost like as they approached the opponent without hesitation, Ryuzaki could see a lot of uses for this technique in the future. Without further ado Ryu stopped reading the scroll and instead began forming his hands seals for the first time without activating his chakra, boar rat, boar rat, boar rat, as always he was memorizing the seals into his mind by doing them repeatedly before activating his chakra. When he felt like he had done this enough he drew in a deep breath before forming the boar and rat seals while activating his chakra, the soothing sensation coursed through his body as he summoned the first clone in front of him into existence. He started with one because Ryu wasn't sure that he could manage to summon ten at once on the first try so he went with something simpler, the clone's coloring was off similar to when he was originally training the simple but useful clone technique so he dismissed it.
Boar and rat seals were formed again as Ryu summoned the clone again this time with the correct coloring, it seemed to be an exact copy of his in every way except that it was just kind of standing there with it's arms hanging down like it was tired. Ryu sent a thought towards the clone telling it to walk towards him, the mist servant clone lurched towards him almost unsteadily as it crept forward just like the scroll said it would, that was just weird he thought to himself as he watched it. He sent a thought to it telling it to stop and it just stopped in place slightly swaying as if it might fall over, Ryu noticed that the clone wasn't holding any weapons and he realized that he had screwed up by not adding that detail. If the clones weren't holding weapons then they weren't much of a threat so he dismissed the clone and summoned it once again this time he imagined it holding a kunai in each hand. That was certainly better Ryu thought to himself as he began walking a circle around the clone inspecting it for any missing or wrong details, he was thoroughly satisfied by the level of detail so he nodded before standing in front of it again.
"Okay time to test the cloning process", Ryu chuckled to himself as if that joke was any good rather than obviously horrible, Ryuzaki walked forward and punched at the clone lightly expecting it to disappear into what looked like goo and then reappear as two. But instead his fist went through the clone and nothing happened as it split apart from the force and just sat there like a melted blob, Ryu frowned before trying again but his fist just did the same and the clone looked more like a blob. His dismissed it with a frustrated wave of his hand before bringing them up to form the seals once again, the clone reformed as if nothing had ever happened to it. Ryuzaki struck out with his fist once again and this time the clone split apart, an arm parted from the clone and fell to the ground wiggling as if it were still alive and about to do something, it began to form a bigger shape right in front of Ryuzaki. However it stopped just as the chest and head area began to form, Ryuzaki realized that he hadn't put enough chakra into the clone in order to allow it to regenerate into a full fledged clone rather than a clumsy lump.
Ryuzaki dismissed the clone or rather the pieces of the clone and then formed it back in front of him once again, this time he struck out a little more forcefully as he was a bit annoyed naturally at his failures so far. The clone just stood there and took the hit as it felt nothing, it's body splitting and falling to the ground like playdoh before wriggling more vigorously than before, the pieces were like snakes that mutated and expanded into human shapes. The original clone stood there looking completely normal with it's body completely reformed and perfect like before however the second clone had become a human shaped blob rather than another Ryuzaki, one could tell it was meant to be humanoid but it was more like a badly made clay doll. Ryuzaki sucked on his teeth before dismissing them again, he began refining the method over and over as he tried to form the second Ryuzaki perfectly, he needed every clone to look the same or else they wouldn't even pay attention to defective clones making them useless.
Ryuzaki spent plenty of time doing this until he was sick of looking at his own face, he actually wished he could never see it again after all of this but that wasn't going to be possible as he was certain that in the future he was going to be training more clone based techniques. Ryuzaki sat down and relaxed for a moment before pulling out the second scroll of the day, this one was also a genjutsu based technique but it was more about breaking out of genjutsu illusions rather than creating them himself, the technique was called genjutsu release which was kind of a simple and unimpressive name Ryu thought to himself as he read over the scroll carefully. This technique wasn't about letting your chakra flow smoothly or refining the technique precisely it was about disrupting your own chakra flow in order to create a backlash that forcefully broke you out of the opponent's illusions. That was a bit different than he was used to at the this time, he crossed his legs and put himself into a meditative state, his eyes closing as he held his hands down against his thighs as he began circulating his chakra through his body.
He could feel the chakra flowing through him like a stream but with him controlling where the stream went or what it did, it was so strange to think that this energy had been inside of him the entire time and he never knew it. The flow was smooth and strong but that was the opposite of what he needed to do when it came to using this technique, Ryuzaki forced his chakra to slow down, he made it swirl in place as if it were trapped within a whirlpool in certain areas. The feeling made him nearly sick as it was going against everything that he had learned about chakra so far, he kept himself in this state for several minutes before letting go of his chakra and allowing it to circulate naturally. His breathing had deepened in the process and now it began to calm as he felt himself becoming less disturbed, he really hoped that he never had to do this again after this but he knew it could save his life one day so he would endure for now, he closed his eyes as he began the process again and again.
Ryuzaki hated this feeling, it was like trying to walk backwards with your eyes closed and expecting not to bump into anything, it was an unnatural feeling to him however it became second nature as he began do it over and over. A couple of times he would stop because he was unsure whether or not he would make himself sick by forcing his chakra into a disruptive state like that, there were other ways to break genjutsu like pain but that wasn't much better than this. There were things like dojutsu and special techniques but he had no such things, dojutsu and bloodlines were something that Ryu would probably never have, he wasn't born with any advantages and he had no way of taking them currently. Finally with a big gasp for air Ryu fell backwards onto the ground letting his chakra flow through his body naturally, he felt that he had the sensation of disrupting his chakra flow down quite well, his efforts would most certainly pay off in the future if he ever needed to use this particular technique.
Ryuzaki pulled out the next scroll while he was laying there and this scroll was the mass shift technique, this technique employed space to forcefully pull and object towards the user, it could be used for offensive, defense, or support if used correctly Ryu thought to himself. The downside of the technique was that it couldn't be used other than in a straight line meaning it lacked flexibility, perhaps in the future when he had more knowledge and skill he could expand upon this technique. His first thought was that it was similar to the super power people claimed to have called telekinesis, he had seen tricksters using magnets pretending to be able to move things with their minds but never had he seen one that could actually do it. Ryuzaki sat up now and placed the scroll back into his bag before focusing on a baseball sized rock about a meter from him, his hands came up forming the rat seal to circulate his chakra to attempt the technique for the first time.
Ryuzaki extended his hand towards the rock and began tensing the muscles in his arm, the flexing of his arm did nothing to help but it just felt like something he had to do in order to make this work. The rock that he was focusing on however didn't even twitch a bit, Ryu felt like it should have rolled a little bit or at least shook but nope not a damn thing he thought to himself as he went for the attempt again. He closed his eyes boosting the level of chakra that he was using towards the rock and extended his arm, he would need to train this quite a bit if he wanted to be able to do this without having to extend his arm towards what he was trying to pull. If he was basically pointing at the object every time then he wouldn't be surprising any of his opponents in the future, this time a faint glow seemed to appear around the rock but as soon as it appeared it was gone and the rock didn't do anything else. Well the slight glow of chakra was better than nothing he thought to himself as he tried again, the glow appeared and disappeared just like before making Ryu suck in a deep breath to stop himself from running over to kick the rock that was clearly not at fault.
Ryu went at this several times the glow seemed to be getting stronger with each attempt yet Ryu didn't seem to be any closer to pulling the rock towards him than he was in the beginning, with every attempt Ryu felt himself getting more and more frustrated. "WORK DAMN YOU", here he was screaming at a rock in frustration, people would probably have given him quite the odd look but in this moment he didn't care as his frustration boiled over and his chakra surged forth in a wild fashion. The golden glow around the rock became even brighter and then the rock actually began to move towards Ryu, it rolled about halfway over and then the rock just stopped moving again, the golden glow fading as if it was never there. Now most people would have probably been upset at this development but Ryuzaki was quite happy as the technique showed visible and provable progress for the first time, his hands shot up into the air "yes yes yes", he chanted happily before calming himself down.
Ryu grinned like a maniac as he tried again and again without rest, his eyes burned with the desire to master this technique, the insatiable hunger for power seemed all consuming to the young man who extended his arm over and over towards the rock. At one point he was so focused on the rock and his chakra that Ryu began drooling, his state of mind completely immersed in self improvement in these intensely boring but important moments of learning. Each time he tried he managed to get the rock to move a little closer and a little more, when it finally reached him he tossed the rock away to try it all over again, he sat there legs crossed like a monk causing the rock to glow almost continuously. His effort would be rewarded as eventually he could make the baseball sized rock fly directly into his hand from a meter away without any problem, the speed was a bit slow and it seemed like it might fall at any moment but it was far better than it doing nothing he thought to himself cheerfully.
Ryu continued increasing his proficiency with the technique by increasing the distance from one meter to two to five and even further, the flight of the object became stable flying towards his hand without any problems at all now. The speed wasn't amazing but still it was enough to be useful he thought, his eventual end came at the ten meter range, this was where the limit seemed to be for this particular technique, if it were a higher level or perhaps if he were at a higher level he could increase the range but try as he might now it would not come to him past ten meters. Ryu began the process of refining this technique into one that could be used in battle by moving while using it, he'd jump around pause and pull the rock towards him as if to him someone from behind, from the side, or even just getting directly in front of them to block their way. Ryu would continue this until he was certain that he could use the technique whenever he wanted to, the best part was with only one hand seal it was quick and easy to activate which meant that he could possibly use it in a pinch.
Even after learning three techniques in one go Ryuzaki was not satisfied because they hadn't truly been put to the test, he grinned to himself as he realized that he should use them right now in a battle simulation of sorts to prove they were usable. Ryuzaki formed the seals boar and rat to create a mist servant clone in front of him, he grinned at the zombie like version of himself before suddenly punching it, the clone split into a second form and he began running about. The clones would walk towards him slowly and Ryu would dodge while activating the mass shift technique to send a rock towards them, when the rock would hit they would split until there were ten of the zombie like Ryu's walking around. He also took out his weapons moving within the throng of clones to throw the weapons through their bodies towards imaginary opponents, he could see how this could be used to confused enemies. He also used his ventriloquism technique to throw his voice around, if he could do this along with the clones the enemy would have a hard time discovering him, he could only imagine what it would be like if he also included the clone technique into the mix.
Ryu was enjoying himself far too much as he learned about his own techniques, his body always seemingly in motion, he even incorporated the shadow shuriken technique into the mix using his regular sized shuriken to hide within the shadows. Ryu was pushing himself to his limits and beyond, he was training his mind, his body, his chakra, everything at once like it was completely normal because he needed to be better, he needed to be stronger and stronger!. There would be those that would look down on his existence, those that wished to erase his life, those that disregarded his pride, and all of those people would be smashed down be these proud fists of his!. Ryu's breathing quickly became ragged as he felt his stamina and chakra draining from using so many techniques at once while also jumping around, sweat fell from his body like a steady stream onto the ground, it stung his eyes yet he never flinched. He crashed to the ground after a bit breathing raggedly as he stared at the sky, the sun was nearly gone and the sky was a deep beautiful orange color that could make artists feel inspired.
Ryuzaki just laid there staring at the sky until the stars appeared in the air, the cool night air caressing his sweating form, when he felt like he was recovered enough he grabbed up his weapons placing them back in their pouches. Today had been a good day he thought to himself before slinging the cloth bag over his shoulder before he began his walk out of here, it was just the beginning of things, it was always just the beginning as he learned more every day.
