To thoes whom it may concern

from the darkest of the alleyways amid the smog and grime of the darkest areas.  These three birds came each baring a different color and species and hence trained to deceive the observant. their goal was simple. to deliver a message to those whom it may concern. each one carrying a letter rubbed in salt. smelling as if coming from the ocean itself. a bit of sand in each one. and a single article of clothing from the boy whom it concerns. The sinister xuba xixisis weaved his plans as he left two bags with the iwagure flags draped around them. Amid the border lands. within them were pieces of a mans feet and dismembered head. traveling between weeks of posts to play mind games with the hoshi government. 

The shadow of xuba slipped away in the dark as he headed away from the scene calm and collected. it has been years since he considered even mentioning haven, but times were different. now he was in the commanding seat.

so we can safely assume... that this boy of royal blood is in trouble. within him Is his scarf. Around the world are several bags that hold a surprise. his possible remains if you do not fork over half of your finds to konohagure no sato.  we have been watching him for awhile. So take no worries. he shall be safe as soon as we  get ransom.




by the end of the week another bird would arrive with only his scarf and shirt.


but 2 weeks would pass with no reply. Adding suspense to the issue at hand. the third bird would arrive with seemingly haste as it contained a second message.

his bloody body is a decent reminder of the ruthless world. may the mother of this child understand this. Nothing like missing your son. take no worries we threw his corpse in the ocean for the better of safety. he shall make good food for the sharks. in the end you can blame the ninjas around there. it was an simple enough bribe.  may your royalty rot.

The first letter, Akihana had known was a lie. The scarf it was attached to may have been Arata's, it suited the boy's style and make but it was only accompanied by the scent of blood as opposed to the actual blood. That and she had understood quickly that this was a conspiracy against Konohagakure as much as it was against Haven. Though the kunoichi had little contact with the Leaf, she knew that Misaki's father was the Hokage, and he would never allow for this. So this was another nation or an independent actor attempting to stir conflict.

The second letter had contained blood... Making her come to the realization that she needed to know where he was. It was only after she had seen Arata travelling safely along Tea country in Denkiteki's Sanctuary Pond had she managed to breathe properly again. He had looked different, completely bold and wearing tatters, a scar had dominated his face, a tattoo, Akihana assumed from her vintage point. But that had mattered little in the wake of finding out her son was alive and in fact not captured.

The third letter claimed him dead, and Akihana dared not check in Sanctuary again for fear that this was true. For whether her son lived or not, a few things were certain. The writer of the letter had continuous access to Arata's blood. If he wasn't captured, he was at last being watched. The smell of brine and texture of coarse sand on the final note did nothing to assuage her fears. Finally what sent her over the edge was the poster, her own bounty taken out for her son. This was not a conspiracy long planned but a recent development. Someone had already undertaken the bounty she had released after receiving the second letter and included it in the third.

Either Arata was really dead, or he would be soon. And she would never forgive herself if she made no efforts to find him.
