Ketsueki's Exam

Early in the morning Ketsueki awoke, earlier than usual, for today was his day to prove to his instructors he was indeed ready to graduate from the Academy. Mitsukatta still resting from the day before was swaddled in the boys jacket as a bit of a show of leniency. Knowing that Mitsukatta had done his part in assisting the boy in getting this far.

He smirked, dressing himself, sans his jacket. And carrying his tired pup as well as his jacket through his mist filled home, especially so, when the light didn't strike it. Ketsueki kept a purposeful pace as he strode from his home to the Academy, head finally not stirring with ideas or scenarios. His mind was in silence. Almost waiting for the climax that would be his exam and thus. 

Graduation. He entered the academy and was shown to an exam room. By then Mitsukatta was fully awake, stretching and Ketsueki finally got to don his jacket. He would step into the room fully prepared for whomever his proctor would be. Greeting them with a bright "Good Morning." And the respect demanded of their office.

The proctor, standing in the center of the room as Ketsueki walked in, clicked the fountain pen in their right hand before scrawling onto the clipboard in their left. Fine, black hair was combed backwards into a messy ponytail that hung behind the proctor's head, meaning her eyes had no obstruction from the sight she was about to see. The female chuunin sucked on the inside of her cheeks for a moment before pointing to the puppy, smiling a little to ease the tension of the moment, "What's the dog's name? Is it a good dog?" She'd await the boy's response before moving on, nodding her head to show she paid attention to his response.

At this point, she'd click the fountain pen a few times before speaking again, "I'm sure you know how this goes. You perform two techniques to show your mastery over them: Bunshin No Jutsu, and Henge No Jutsu. Do either one first, it makes no difference. Then explain the usefulness of these techniques in a combative scenario. After that, perform two different takedowns on the training dummy." She finished off with, pointing towards the dummy that stood a few meters away from her. "You have two minutes, begin." Of course, she sort of assumed that the boy wasn't going to do all of this with the dog, and she really hoped the animal wouldn't urinate everywhere. That'd be difficult to explain to the Mizukage.

Ketsueki nodded at the woman, relieved to see her instead of a grizzled Jounin or even the Mizukage himself. Although that would make for some dramatic and entertaining irony, maybe he could even fanangle  his way into some information, training. Who knows. "His name is Mitsukatta. He's good, if a little lackadaisical. And he's housebroken so don't worry about him making a mess or anything." He said, setting his jacket down as Mitsukatta trotted over to it. Sitting in wait as Ketsueki walked to the center of the room, making sure that the proctor could see everything.

"Alright. Bunshin No Jutsu." He wove the sign, Ram Snake Tiger. And in a plume of smoke was another Ketsueki "The clone technique is only viable for distractions and setups in it's current state, Because the clone has no weight or real mass behind it, it is easily dispatched. However, this works in favor of the user if they were going for an attack from behind the clone, or if they expected the clone to take a hit, dissipate and then attack from the smoke it leaves behind. Also it would be especially useful for feints and setups into a genjutsu." He then awaited her comments or any other questions.

Ketsueki then released the clone technique. Causing it to vanish in it's smoke. "Henge No Jutsu." He wove sign once more Dog Boar Ram. Hands a bit more familiar with this skill, he was faster getting the proper signs out. In another column of smoke, Ketsueki appeared as his dog. Mitsukatta. Before releasing the jutsu as, sadly enough. He wasn't able to speak while taking that form. Unlike the teacher that showed him how. And in another plume he was back. 

"This technique can be used for battle to mentally attack your opponents by taking the guise of an ally, but it can also be used before or without combat for distraction and evasion. It can also be used while infiltrating to cause chaos behind enemy lines. Using this technique on a small team is usually the best for mental attacks to morale as stated before, but instead of mid hostility it can cause unease before hostility. And finally evasion. Since transformation allows one to take anyone's form it seems easy enough to steal someone's face and lay low. Not that I've used it for that anyway." He waited for any comments.

The final tasks, Takedowns. Ketsueki had yet to test any of his combat since his spar with the Uzumaki and he never even thought of them during that fight, then again. It's whether or not he could do it, not if he thought about it. Deciding to be creative and using his own idea from before he began to weave sign Ram Snake Tiger. He stood in front of the dummy from behind his clone. He bent his knees, widened his hand position and then took a shot on the dummy, the clone dispersing in a cloud of smoke, giving Ketsueki optimal cover. At the end of the shot he found his right knee getting between the dummy's legs and his head driving into it's abdomen, as he did this he grabbed the back of the dummy's knees and pulled them while standing up, In one moment the dummy was up in the air, the next it was on its back. Ketsueki standing above it with one leg between its arm and torso and the other leg between its legs. "That is a blast double leg take down." 

He stood the dummy back up and took a second to hear her comments if she had any before he stepped back from the now righted dummy and    thought for a moment or two before he decided on a specific take down. He gave himself a wide berth so that the maneuver wasn't messy. He took a running charge and rammed his shoulder into the dummy's face at the same time as he wrapped his arm around its neck. He then stepped around the dummy's leg and moved his head under the dummy's arm before he wrenched it down onto its side using the lack of stability in its legs and the leverage of its torso being basically bent over completely backwards, causing the dummy to topple over, yet Ketsueki remained on his knees, holding the dummy's arm and head in a tight grip. He held it for a few more moments before standing up. "Sorry. I usually hold it cause it's a little bit like choking someone out so...I wanted to be thorough, The actual take down is called an STO." 

He righted the dummy once more, just in case the proctor had others coming for their own Genin exam. And waited, hoping he had passed and that his take downs weren't what would bring him down in grade.

What the boy said was true, the dog did appear to be housebroken. It hadn't moved from his jacket after he started his examination. Clicking on her pen a few times, she moved the tip against the paper on the clipboard, scribbling down numerous qualities that may be interesting, as well as his performance of the techniques and eye for combat usage. 

It was all going well until the boy attempted his first take down, driving his head directly into the gut of the dummy, the proctor couldn't help but wince. She jotted it down immediately before speaking up, "Next time, drive your shoulder into the target rather than your head; You could give yourself whiplash and a serious spinal injury if you do that and can't complete the takedown whether to them bracing or just quite simply being stronger." She lectured briefly, waiting for the next takedown.

The next takedown was certainly.. something. It was different than what she usually saw, yet it seemed a little excessive. However, it was what the academy needed.. the boy would have time to drill out any invaluable time constraints in the technique later on, if he chose to continue with the physical discipline. Clicking her pen a few times once more, she'd smile and nod, "Your jutsu performance and explanations were good, so no faults there. Your first takedown was too risky on your neck, and your second one was a bit over the place, but the submission after the takedown was a nice touch. Congratulations Ketsueki, you're now a Genin of the Hidden Mist!" She smiled towards the boy, waving her hand towards what would be the front of the building, "Collect your headband from the entrance, and you should probably reward yourself and your dog for a job well done." She finished off with, waving towards the boy as he left.
