Queensmen for a day
Sat Jul 15, 2017 9:44 am
"First mission!", was the thing she was shouting as she jumped out of her bed and rushed towards the bathroom. "Official Genin coming through mother!", she exclaimed as she grabbed a towel from a bundle her mother was about to bring up into said bathroom she was rushing in. Jumping under the shower covering her head and body in fluffy white foam and bubbles she cheerfully chirped: "I am going on a mission! It is going to be awesome, whilst her mother just added the new towels to a shelf near the shower. She smiled fondly as she listened to her daughter's excitement. "Someone seems energetic today", she remarked as she took a quick look around if everything was in order and ready. Sanae grinned over at her washing out her hair. "Well I got a mission assigned, I will meet a Shouhei Sato to do it with, I am finally doing some shinobi work. Is my breakfast ready? I don't want to be late on my first assignment or they might never assign me anything again", what would that be for a shock. To fail the first thing and then never be asked again to do anything of any sort? She ran her Hands across her face. No, this would not be happening she would perform just wonderfully. So as her mother walked out she rushed out of the shower, dried her hair and jumped into her regular shinobi get up now adjusting the headband around her waist. Hopefully there was not any law that made people wear it on their heads, because it would totally cover up her clan's symbolic dots on her forehead then.
In the kitchen she would then once again meet her mother that had prepared a bunch of delicious rice balls for her to eat as breakfast. As she was gulping them down, like she had never been fed her whole life her mother warned her. "Do not eat in a hurry it will make you feel sick", she rose her index finder while she reminded her, but Sanae was too much in a hurry to listen. So she announced that she would be putting on some shoes and getting something to write since this was some information collection mission and she wanted to be prepared, but what did prepared mean? Well for all she know she was to figure it out today. As she came back her mother presented her with a little lunchbox. "Have some noodles, duck and veggies for later sweetheart", she smiled and then went to see her child off at the gates. Together they walked through the garden where she picked her a red tomato while walking by. Sanae grinned a little, since her mother never liked her just grabbing stuff on the go, but this time was special so she did not say anything except: "Thank you mother", she smiled back at her and while the young Kaguya was running off into the city she waved a little and watched her. Her little one was growing up so fast.
Sanae was rushing into town faster than ever before and today she was going somewhere, where she had never ventured before. Her steps led her trough the city, across the streets and place and towards the palace. It was kind of intimidating to see just how huge this building was. Then at the gate she was stopped by the queensmen. The heavy plated and strongly armed forces that were to protect the queen and the palace from any intruder or enemy alike. But today, they would need to let her pass, because she had been assigned the task to accompany one of their members on his daily routine. Maybe so she could see and learn how other forces worked around here. So they showed to them the mission documents she had been send and which stated who she was and why she got here. After a firm examination and a check of her identity she was let in and said to wait inside of the break room where someone's old coffee had been filling the air she sat unsteady and nervous. She was a tiny bit of about 20 minutes early and the guard assigned to her, and her supposed companion was not here yet, so that meant, waiting to the maximum, but she would endure it.

While she was waiting for the other Genin to appear she stood outside the office and trained a little. Her father had given her the task of learning a jutsu that was called Bone Amour and used to shield the body from danger by forging the bones inside of it together and around especially to protect vital organs or joints from breaking. So she now tried to focus on it. Her eyes closed she held her Hands onto her Chest to see if she could feel the movement inside of it or even better just underneath the skin. Her Body was almost bursting with Chakra she thought as it was raging inside of her to try to make that jutsu happen. Her Body shivered a little as she could feel the bones slowly mending together like a woven cloth would fold it together and become one piece out of a thousand little strings. Deep she breathed inside and out. While she gently knocked against her hardening chest plat and smiles satisfied about feeling the light hollow tone of it. It had been a success and she tried some movements with it, it did not hinder her with anything and seemed to be comfortable while she flexed a little. This was good. Most amours were making it difficult to move, but this was not. They a little shaking she made the jutsu disappear again because it was hard to keep it up and would take a lot time more to master it.
Since her partner did not seem to show she was taken all alone. The Queensmen whose name was Keru was taking her out on duty today, so he was done waiting as well as he tapped her shoulder. Saying that he had done all the necessary paperwork and got his route assigned he wanted to start. If her colleague did not seem to get the concept of being on time he would not force it on him and she was not either. Together they started their walk trough Hoshi. Since she was here to learn a lot about the Queensmen she took out a notebook and a pen. So while they were walking around the city she asked a lot of questions. As a part of this institution you seemed to require a lot of things since at any time you were asked to be ready to give your life if the situation was in need of it. Quite depressing thought but she was moved by the determination that he displayed by just talking about it. She could feel why he wanted to do this, why it was not even in his mind to question what he was doing.
While they were walking he showed her all the small corners he walked by every day, people he knew, because each time he patrolled he walked by them he greeted with a gentle and kind of determined smile. She herself had seen Queensmen before, but they did not seem to be so friendly. Most times they displayed a mean face. Keru said it was because it seemed tougher that way, that they would look more impressive that way and maybe leave others to think twice if they would mess around with them or the law. It made sense in a way to better scare people into doing nothing, but being friendly and therefore not warranting for a hit or worse was even better. She'd never act up against Keru, not because she was afraid, it was because she liked him.
At lunch time they sat down in a restaurant and he would treat her to a meal which she gladly took in. Thanking him over and over she sat there and was eating while it was now him who had questions. How it was to be a shinobi and why she chose to be one, what was all this magic chakra stuff about. It took her some time to reveal everything about what she thought was okay to share with him. Since she was Kaguya and after her gift of the bloodline was confirmed what else could she do? Well she could have chosen not to use it in any way and become a sweet housewife. Even he laughed at the thought of it brushing over her head with his hand. Saying that she had too much potential to waste with this power sleeping inside of her and the use it could have for the village. So while they were closing up the tour he was talking about protecting the village or even more the village ad how important it was to keep watch over everyone from the young child, over adults and the elderly and that he was proud to be amongst the protectors of the queen and her loyal subjects. He was literally bursting with pride and Sanae nodded he had every right to be proud and so should she. At least this is what he said and he made sure she knew that he did not resent shinobi and what they were doing, as long as they were doing it to preserve the peace. With that they parted ways where they started. She received the affirmation that she had done the task and he gave her the promised money. Waving she walked back home and on her way eating the lunch her mother gave her so that she would not think her daughter did not like her cooking.

Queensmen are the local police of Hoshigakure. Despite not being well versed in the Shinobi arts, these men know the city like the back of their hands and are both respected and feared among the locals. Spend a day with a Queensman to see how he goes about his day and treat him with respect and courtesy. Any knowledge gained from this is only for CD purposes and does not necessarily reflect how Hoshigakure Queensmen go about their job.
