Why worry? Empty Why worry?

Wed Jul 26, 2017 1:57 am
"You're already going on another mission? If you don't relax you are going to run yourself ragged," the had been arguing since long before the sun had even arisen about how the boys progress since the first and last meeting with his father had went. Since that night Kazuhiro had changed slightly, his motivation to become stronger and move on had been ignited far faster than what the young fox would have even thought possible. His eyes had easily turned into his fathers, but their ambitions were different. The male had been sitting looking outside of his room into the water garden, his hands resting on the haori of his father. Goals had made him strive to do more but doing it by the systems of a village had been hindering him which as he knew was nothing like being out on his own. Maybe after a few years he would return to wandering and seeing the world, but until then he would play by their rules.

Speaking of he had heard word of some commotion at the gates and when he thought it was a small skirmish between civilians and ninjas, it soon turned out to be some ninja from Kumo...The thought caused a small sense of distaste in his mouth as he remembered his family telling him of the one that "removed" his father from life had been ruling over it. Knowing that a few of the ninja from that village were here meant that he would either keep to himself less something were to happen. Speaking of something happening had been happening in the water gardens that had caught the young foxes ears. The young kit ended up looking out the window in the direction though the boy  was looking out into the distance he allowed his senses to betray him and that was no good.

Today had been a different day along with much of anything and this was something that he would no doubt have to figure out what had been going on and probably solve it. Apparently in the beginning of the day some of the priests and ninja of the village got into a heated argument which lead to the events of a fight where some of the Queen sguard had broken it up, but required some assistance of someone who had seen both sides of the people to adjust the situation and diffuse it. As one of the few ninja that lived in the castle he would rather take care of it before someone else exacerbated the issue further. Grabbing his t-shirt, he threw the black cloth onto his body followed by the grey and black Haori, he moved from his room followed by three attendants that stopped just before the palace door. His eyes turned to them well knowing that they should have known the look by now," Stay here i'm going to go help them quell this issue and i do not need to be watched like a child," with that he slowly began to walk out of the palace and toward the gardens.

Strapping the single head band into his pouch underneath the haori, the black haired genin set off towards the Water Garden where the dispute was taking place, hoping that the guards had at least quelled down the fighting to a minimum, if not then the male would have a lot to do.. Since this had been a problem of the utmost importance he figured they would be rather punctual more than anything else when it came to situations like this.. From what he knew about the priest they had been hesitant about the ninja and their "witchcraft" as they had called it, but did not show it outwardly as some would think. Even with the actions of those in the slum he did meet a few people that did not act this way which was good. What he did not understand was why the ninja had been giving them a hard time. Given that single experience he knew how to approach this but from the lingering sounds of the arguing he sighed for a single moment. Had adults always been like this when it came to simple disagreements that could easily be handled without getting physical or in each others faces?

Especially with those who could kill you before you so much as made the movement to run. Arguing with someone stronger than you seemed...counterproductive, but if the reading he had done before proved anything the ninja of the past were what started this hatred so why continue? Maybe the fact that grudges were hard to kill or something, but what did an eleven year old vagabond know about anything pertaining to a village? Arriving on the scene he stopped just short of the two groups eyeing them equally until one of the civilians had noticed them, making sure to let the other group of people know until they all began to stare at him menacingly," Oh look its one of the dogs that ninja had called, what you need a piece of trash like this boy to help you beat us up? How pitiful you people truly are," to which the ninja took no kindness out of that statement. One of them had to be held back by his companion sure that he would deck one of the civilians," This little brat ain't one of ours. Where's his head band and we clearly just saw him coming from the other side so he must've came from the palace. He's just one of your little ungrateful brats."

Hurtful. The words almost caused the boy to say something in which he shook his head and stepped in between the two groups and sighed," Look first of all you are all acting like a bunch of kids and its sad that this is coming from a kid. Now before you all go around saying "Shut the hell up kid you shouldn't be in this" let it be known now that I will put you ALL on your face and proceed to diffuse this situation. I am someone that can easily see both sides of this spectrum thus why i'm here trying to help rather than watch from my window seat of which one will stay standing the longest. Now without further ado let us hear why we think one is better than the other and why we are fighting," though as soon as he finished they went back to arguing almost ignoring what the young male had said. Luckily he let it go on for a few moments before shaking his head," ENOUGH...Goodness you are worst than kids fighting over cake. One at a time."

The men and the few women slowly began to simmer down and tried to have some semblance of a small debate though as it went onward, he slowly looked toward the initiating party. His eyes went from one group to the next as one of the priests shouted something about the ninja being accursed and plagues to the village. That comment caused Kazuhiro to turn his back to the ninja and face the priests where he would calmly take a deep breath and speak to them," Alright so you think the ninja are a plague to your village? If I recall correctly from what i've read on Hoshi history it was bandit esque ninja that came and pillaged your home for the longest time. Now correct me if I am wrong but that has nothing to do with the now? Since these ninja and those that sit in high positions of power for example that Snake Guy...They helped rebuild this place correct? ," of course as he said this one of the ninja had screamed out that they would never be at peace with such bible hugging bastards, the comment caused the male to furrow his brow. The words seared into his ears as he slowly looked over his shoulder and pointed to the ninja," Shut up or i'll shut you up. Wait your turn," the ninja for a moment growled but when he saw how serious the boy was? Well he got silent fast and waited.

"Where was I? Oh yes. The things you have are because of the ninja that came along when your village was on the verge of shambling over, and through some miracle from your Gods you now have a thriving village. What is it that makes you hate the ninjas so?," the priests, surprised that a boy as young as him understood so much of Hoshi's past that it made them gawk. Almost to the point where they considered asking the boy what manner of child was he. Unfortunately he wouldn't have an answer for that since he spent most of time in this place since he had been here studying about the place. No one was going to catch him off guard when it came to knowledge, and on that note he would definitely need to go to that library at one point.

Getting back on topic he looked or rather did a full 180 to look at the ninja before a priest began to speak back to him," It is because you ninja do not know the life of peace. It is always fighting, blowing something up, destruction in every wake you leave. Sure you might have stabilized Hoshi for the moment but when disaster and strife come then what? Will you continue to idly protect us like you currently have or continue to be reckless. We people have no say in what you do and that is unacceptable! How are we supposed to live in peace if you can't even keep it. You even let other blasted ninja into our village to spread their accursed filth," the priest had became so living in a manner of a few short sentences that it caused the young male to question was he really going to get through all of this today.

For a few moments more the priest would go on a spiel about the ninja having power they can't control and was given to them unnaturally years and years ago, the same power that had almost enslaved them all. The classic story that almost every child knew from the distant past about a three eyed evil lady and two friends stopping her. Such a story was the foundation for one of Konoha's arguably most popular Hokage, but that was not for this story. The debate was getting nowhere and as it was time for the ninja to finally speak, only one stood up to address exactly what the priest had said though he wasn't too nice about it. In that moment Kazuhiro knew two things. One was that shit was going to get real quick and by quick he meant escalate faster than a kunai cutting through the air. The second was that he was going to have to put these men and women in time out if he wanted to keep the peace and assure everyone went home safely.

"You think you are so high and mighty because of your faith, but you do not know the things we do to keep you busy. Those bandits that lived just outside of your borders? The Jaw of Groma or whatever you call them.. Guess who took care of them? We did. You think because of something that happened in the past you can solidify that ninja are bad. We aren't in fact we are the reason you still have this cesspool of a hom-," and from there the arguing began to spiral. First it had been as simple as name calling before the groups started inching closer. The guards still there could see that it was time to interfere but the young boy held his hands up and motioned for them to stand still. He knew exactly what he had to do to quell this so that squashing this problem because less of a blood bath and more of an understanding of both sides. As the two groups slowly began to get closer he would press his hands into his pockets as his shadow lightly distorted and turned inward, pulsing until he had opened his eyes and connected it to every ninja and priest alike.

The single action was as simple as breathing to him now as he controlled them like puppets. There were several looks of confusion as the ninja continually tried to use genjutsu kai (yes he knows what this is because he reads a lot) thinking that this was some simple genjutsu, but when they realized exactly that it wasn't that? They instead assumed the priests were the ones doing this and instantly began to yell at them. The moment they would appear to be yelling another shadow would extend up their legs, slowly caressing the inner thigh until reaching their mouth and covering it. He had no intentions of keeping them here for long, but he needed to make a point and this would be the safest solution to getting this solution done.

The ninjas due to knowing ninjutsu knew what had happened once they had seen the shadow overlapping the males mouth and instantly asked," So you are a ninja?! Why are you against us the-," to which he turned to look at them which caused them to look away as well," Because I am someone who isn't going to be roped in with the likes of you. Knowing and doing are two different things. You? Don't know the difference. To be a ninja of a village is to lay your life down for the protection of the village correct? To protect its people despite what may or may not happen? To not ask for gratification and instead give it. Yet here you dumbasses are arguing over why you hate one another. You hate them because as advocates of their faith and in hand their people, they discriminate against you for the past. Now its slowly becoming because of the present because you don't know how to act," a child lecturing adults on the way of the world was almost blissfully ironic in the sense that he had not been around as long as them, but had been intellectually smart with nothing to use it for.

The ninja simply retorted with," Even if that may be the case the way they treat us for the duties we do of our own volition means nothing to these pricks. They'd rather stone us to death than learn to except that they need us," alright that had been it. The two groups soon started arguing which caused him to sit down which caused Kaz to do something drastic. Sitting down he caused the other members of this dance to sit down and listen one at a time as he interjected. At the same time everyone sat down with her hands sitting firmly in the middle of their laps, the priests freaking out calling whoever had been doing this a demon and the ninja looking at the boy as if he was grade A freak," Now. I didn't want to do this because it would have been petty and no one will walk away from this like i had planned to. Instead we shall sit here and PEACEFULLY  end this. I can actually hold you like this until nightfall so let's play nice here okay? This is seriously my last warning before I just tell the queen that her priests and the protectors of this village, and i will get your names, cannot do their jobs properly and should be reassigned or lose their positions," the simple threat caused the priests to whisper among themselves and the ninja? Well....

There were moments of silence and periods of quiet whispers that caused each group to look at each other though the anger was still there the ninja spoke first," Our issue is that the people don't respect us despite what we do for them. Risk life and limb to keep them safe and we can't even walk around our home with her ninja headbands on. Just two weeks ago a chuunin, Hasuki, was beaten when he was taken by surprise in the slums for having his head band out while on patrol. If we cannot walk around the place we call home as well what can we expect from the people these civilians look up to? You are supposed to be the link between us and the people yet you tell them to fear us for some reason," he made a relatively good point even if he couldn't move his body. With each passing moment the priest sunk in the words of the ninja to a point that there was silence.

Had they seriously found a common ground to build off of? Or was the silence only because they were thinking of a way to work around them and continue the arguing. Silence in itself was truly boring and the more it lingered some could tell that Kazuhiro had been seriously waiting for one or the other to speak," So is anyone going to continue this or are we stopping for today? Mr. Priests? I know you have something to say about this given that they have given the perfect leeway to do so. Are you simply scared to acknowledge what they say as truth or...is it because it is true?," the priests began to look among each before sighing in defeat. The young boy had finally began to piece together the puzzle that would soon make this bridge connect.

The priests at long last would began to come to a consensus as the one who had been pretty much speaking the whole time had finally spoken up," Yes it is true this is what we teach the people for it is all we know. The sins of the past aren't so easily cleansed by the deeds of today. Though we try to remove the hatred little by little wounds still need to be healed. Families are still healing from the wounds of the past so you cannot expect some good Samaritan ninjas to just erase that hatred. Its not going to happen like that at all. In the same regard...its up to the people to relinquish that hatred unto the Gods. The only thing we can do is ease that tension with them," and that was what what the young male wanted to hear. It was almost an hour since the male had came out to solve the issue that they had. While the issue hadn't been fully resolve in the manner that he would have liked, a common ground was soon made.

The ninja had slowly come to the realization that not all things were going to change immediately, but there had been hope. The bridge had been established by a boy whose world had been ravaged by the mistakes of war and anger, but he? Had a path to play in all of this and he would learn from the mistakes of the people around him. On the same notion the ninja had finally spoken up deciding to use the same person that had been speaking the same as the priests," All we want is for the people to treat us as people, not death dealing demons. We are the same as them, human. Even though we use chakra to protect them, we still bleed and breath like them," with that being said Kazuhiro let out a small breath of air as the two groups began to talk and attempt to peacefully resolve this on their own without the child mediator.

"Together you two groups can build a brighter future for this village so that you can live up to our name as the village in the stars, but you need the help of both ninja," holding out his hand to motion to the priest he would release his shadow technique and return to facing both the priests and ninja."And you the priests. You need to be the first step in order to build a bridge of everlasting peace instead of turmoil. With your help combined you can finally become something that the people aren't afraid of. So can work together in order to build our future," of course he got a weird look or two from the priests before they had met in the middle and shook hands. It was the best he could actually do without going into some philosophical talk about how a textbook definition of teamwork could better them, but instead he walked over to the three guards who had been watching the whole ordeal.

"I doubt they are going to fight for much longer so allow them time to patch things up and if they get rowdy just come and find me. I'll make sure to clear it up quick, fast and in a hurry. For now i'm going to go write a report or whatever it is people do to conclude something like this. Also please see to it that they are escorted to their proper areas, no need for the bad to come back after an in the middle agreement right?," the guards simply nodded to the small child as he bypassed them and soon left the priest and ninja to continue talking. While the young male had been walking away, the two groups began to slowly speak among themselves on to better pave the ground for a better future.

"You know, he really did have a point. Our bickering is dividing the village. We're charged with protecting the civilians and here we are doing the opposite, causing dangerous ripples that could grow into the waves of a civil war." One ninja speaks up from within the crowd. "I think that I can speak for the other shinobi here. I sincerely extend my apology to you priests."

"We must apologize to you ninja, really." A priest responds. "Here, we have overlooked your service and treated you unreasonably for the actions of the past.. This kind of action is childish on both our parts. Though we can both agree when I say that the child that was just here is quite...smart for someone of his age." The rest simply nodded as they continued onward with their discussions before swiftly leaving the gardens with the guards. The garden soon became a quiet oasis as it had always been with the lingering effects of bitterness and hatred slowly leaving the atmosphere once and for all.

In the depths of the Palace library sat Kazuhiro as he began to write something akin to a detailed mini report on the incident of the Water Gardens. To his right had been his fox brother in human form, shifting all nine tails to the left and right somberly until asking Kazuhiro a question," So what did you learn about this little adventure?," to which the boy slowly turned to the fox and smiled. " History can be changed but always repeated. If you want to nip something in the bud? Grab them by the shadow and make them come to a peaceful solution. Sometimes putting them in a situation they cannot control allows for the atmosphere to be around for change. When change is present then one can easily come about an agreement. Simple right?," as he spoke he continued to write every word about the incident before sealing it into an envelope and giving it to Koan. With a poof of smoke the young fox had prepared to deliver it to the door of the Hogokage where the incident would be later cataloged and stored in case future incidents occurred. With the day not even over, the young male planned to return to his room where he began to read up more on the history of Hoshi to familiarize himself with the names that were used today. The Jaws of Grimo? Rather the Jaws of Grima. Whether or not there were still more had been unknown to him, but he had a feeling he'd find out soon.
