3rd time's the charm, meeting a new ally (p nk)

Her face showed great distaste as he spoke ill of the "gods". She never spoke on her thoughts of the matter, and her calm demeanor slowly began to replace the clear distaste. She knew the thoughts. She'd felt the same for the better portion of her life. Until the point when she met the writer, she'd hated the cruel masters of fate. She wasn't called the demon of chance for no good reason. Still She'd spent a decade or more worshipped as a goddess amongst the mortals of her home, and come face to face with the mistress of fate herself before giving up the strength of her magic. No one here would believe it, of course. As she spent time within this placeholder she began to question her own memories from the prime material.

Her sensory lit up the moment he entered her rain. It was like a bright white beacon glowing before her, even as her eyes fluttered open and closed to moisten the soft muscles and push the small droplets of water that had rolled down her face from getting into her eyes. She could feel the rain crash down against his form, taking in the subtle curves of his clothing and shape of his musculature at a level that her eyes would never be able to pick up. This technique was much more remarkable then she'd actually realized.

She'd stayed quiet for several minutes, and for good reason, but as she realized her silence could be taken negatively she took inventory of the convorsation she'd failed to respond to, and began to fill in the blanks. "Sorry. So it isn't ice. It's simply sharpened suiton chakra..... I didn't know that was something I could do. " She concentrated again, and around her form the water once more seemed to freeze in palce. Individual rain droplets began to shift position in midair, drawing together to form short thin tubes of powerful chakra infused water. One by one the small tubes began to thin at each end, moving towards the end goal.

"Your clan manipulates ice chakra?" She went over his statemetns several times, considering what was important in what he said and what was only convorsational. She was ashamed to admit she'd missed this bit of information the first time. She'd learned important information about his clan, and about the power chakra could hold.

"I should probably check in with the deputy kage at some point. I'm a bit ashamed to say that I haven't met barely anyone in this village so far, despite being in the village for a couple weeks. I've been buisy, I suppose, but truely I just haven't felt like being around people. It's always awkward because you have to introduce yourself and end up telling your whole boring life story, and then you have to listen and feign interest in theirs half the time. Do you know what i'm saying?" She wondered what his thoughts of her were. As she continued to hone the edge of her chakra infused suiton, she considered their exchange, and how it would make her look in comparison to those around them. She expected to be considered fairly neurotic. That much couldn't be helped until she was used to this body's personality quirks and was more confortable in this world. HOpefully she came off as someone who seemed to be a good ally. She'd always been feared for her power, but now she would prefer just to be respected.

She asked about his clan and his Ice release, whoops seems she did pay attention, this just goes to confirm for him that she did in fact dodge the earlier question about her name, oh well, he had it now however. He would nod his head to her question about the ice as well as speaking to her about it " Yes I am from a clan where we can craft Water and Wind together to make Ice" This was the majority of his arsenal the moment he knew he could do it, he trained in it, everything he could, but he wanted to learn more, and perhaps one day create more.

Tenma was listening once more and when she finished again, he replied in turn " Well Even I have yet to meet with the Deputy Kage, busy with training myself, and he is busy running a village, And you don't have to tell your life story, just your name and reason for being here, That is all Short sweet answers. And as for Interest, If you do not like hearing people drone on about their life, just ask them to get to the point." Now Tenma found this rather simple, maybe it was because he could be rather blunt at times, but there you have it in a nutshell.

Meanwhile he stepped just inside of the Gazebo, and to the side away from Amber, as he did not wish to crowd her, but he was getting wet in the rain and he tired of that, he needed to pull out the Suiton book he had and learn a new jutsu.

Yes there was that hidden mist technique he had just aquired, and there was the rain technique of Amber's but he wanted to save that and work his way up the ladder, and hers seemed like she needed to be in full teaching mode for him to get a hang of anyways in his mind.

So after stepping into the Gazebo and standing off away from Amber, he pulled out the book from its safe dry spot, and opened it up, starting to read and find which would be the next technique he decided to learn today.

"Interesting. One can combine chakra natures in order to create new and assumably more powerful jutsu combinations. " That wasn't to her knowledge the way magic worked. Sure she could control ice on a minor level.... and to think about it, there wasn't that much difference. She was able to cast spells categorized as ice through a combination of her black magic and Water. She wondered if use of wind magic when combined with water could produce a similar effect. probably. It would lack the potention the dark coruption brought her water magic, and assumably lose significant killing force because of that but it could be possible. That didn't matter too terribly much to her, of course. She was unable to use wind magic. More so she was currently within a world where magic was impossible. Still it was an interesting thing to consider.

She felt the suiton chakra coalesce, forming sharp thin needles just as she'd seen the man before her do. She was able to form the technique. She would probably need to use it a few times before she felt truely proficient, but with this she had the ability to call up on the jutsu if it were necessary. Meanwhile Tenma gave her more information on the deputy hokage. It seems he was quite elusive. He'd not gotten a chance to meet the man either. it made sense, of course. First the leader of a village had much more important matters then meeting every person within his village, even if the positives of knowing everyone far outweighed the time lost from important affairs. It was not, of course, her call. THe second reason that she considered as to why it made sense was simple. Even if it raised morale, important people nad little need to concern themselves with those below them. Maybe that was just her philosophy though.

As he continued she couldn't help but snicker. While generally his ideas were sound, she recognized too well the negative appearance that gave off, and at points it was your appearance and demeanor that determined whether you walked away or fought for your life. "That.... would be a delightful thing, but in general isn't an option in every day life. Being able to tell others that what they find important or relevant is quite the opposite is a gift reserved for those of privilege or power. For those lacking these simple qualities how well you put up with peoples bull shit can determine alliances and safety.

She considered what would be most beneficial to train next. Her ally seemed to have little other suiton in his arsenal, which was unfortunate. That meant she would need to look through her notes in order to figure out a new technique with little to no help from others. It wasn't the first time. In her past she'd created more techniques then she'd actually learned from an ally. It was one of the downsides to choosing a solitary path. Still, getting help often was the easier path.

"IF you'd like, I can show you the method by which I learned the rain tiger at will technique. I believe it to be a bit more powerful of a technique then the suiton needles, though not as offensive. Still I dont believe it will take that long to expain should you wish. I figure it's the least I can do after you taught my your technique. " She spoke, spending the better portion of the statement looking directly at tenma, however towards the end she drew from the large bag at her hip a small black notebook, and opened it up. As long as he wasn't having significant trouble she assumed she could multitask. Her notes were not exactly detailed. That was unfortunate. She had a list of the seals needed, which was fantastic, but as for the formation of her chakra, either the person she'd initially gotten her information from had either not explained it or she'd failed to put it in her notebook.

As he read his book, he heard her speak about the Rain Tiger, this would make him look up from his book and think for a moment before nodding a Yes to her, closing the book and putting it back in a pocket of his, he watched her, and waited, listening for the lesson on the very technique which she was still using outside of the gazebo.

"Excelent. A chance to give back I suppose. " But how do I go about doing this. She thought back to points when it was important for her to teach a technique. Her experience as a teacher had always been this thing of necessity, where some great danger forced her hand, making her reveal one of the secret spells she'd been saving for a rainy day to be taught to one of her allies in order to combo together and defeat the foe. THis was a much less pressing concern. 

"Alright. Well there are two important parts to the jutsu. The first, of course, is the hand seals. That should be pretty easy. THe big dificulty that I believe you'll have is in the formation and movement of the chakra in order to effectively cast the jutsu and control its sensory properties. That was where I struggled the most at least. Going from the start, the hand seals are, bird, rat, ox, monkey, rat and then snake. " She formed each seal slowly, giving him a moment to study their formation before moving on to the next. It was a silly thing, though she wouldn't realize it yet, simply because these seals were the basis for all ninjutsu. THere were generally only a small number of seals that get reused, and that are taught to the young before ever venturing from the class room, and each of these was easily in the beginer lessons that Tenma had almost definitely been taught. Still, being a child who'd decided against studying to become a ninja in their youth it was a dificulty for her, at least at current, and as such she spent the extra time to ensure he would haev an easier time then she did. 

While she formed the seals her mind was off elsewhere. She thought through the bits of information she had about the technique of legend, and how best to actually capture the essence of the jutsu. She knew the seals at least, or seal as there was only one, but the chakra formation was key. THinking through her short list of jutsu she considered exactly where each one stored chakra to be used. THe root wouldn't be particularly helpful. Her shadow jutsu used the root extensively because of their control of energies tied to the gorund themselves. No.... If anything she expected that the point of finality for this technique would be the throat chakra. It only made sense. The effect of the jutsu started with her spewing large volumes of water form her mouth. HEr throat chakra governed any vocal or sound based jutsu, but would also serve as a strong focus point for jutsu that involved spewing from the mouth. She was certain that was her ending point, now the question is how many chakra points needed to be activated in order to effectively use this power.

Tenma listened to the hand signs, Forming them as she said them even, not placing chakra into his hands to be molded just yet, he was just getting a feel for the flow of the hand signs, and he analyzed what she said as well as the jutsu itself, this could be a little difficult to pull, off, you are talking about infusing your Chakra into the rain itself, before it even rains, and then making it rain, seems like it would be a very chakra taxing technique, However this would not stop him.

He now allowed his chakra to flow freely, and using the handsigns, allowed them to shape his chakra from him into what was needed, he felt as his chakra went into the water molecules into the air, feeling his chakra pull away from him up into the clouds, the clouds that were up there already increasing in thickness, making the chakra based rain storm look very dreadful indeed, he hoped that no one panics over this site. Then after enough had been gathered, It would begin to congregate into water dropletts and began to fall. Tenma could feel this through his chakra, as this technique somehow allowed him to keep track of his chakra, instead of just expelling it out. maybe that was the beauty behind this technique, infusing ones chakra into water and turning that water into a field of sensory for ones self, maybe he could improve on this one day.

Tenma closed his eyes as he could almost picture the surroundings thanks to the rain hitting them and he could feel them, not just see them, this changed his outlook on this little piece of haven, Seeing it in a new light, made it all that more beautiful for him. It was almost like how they depicted Daredevils Sonar vision, that was what was granted to him, how he was picturing the world at this moment, as he could not see colors through this technique, just the shapes of the objects the rain hit.

A Smile crept across Tenma's Face as he would now open his eyes slowly, seeing the area surrounding him, even the foilage behind him, this technique was truely a gift, This would come in handy for him later, rather he knew it or not. He would look at the female and nod, almost bowing it would seem before speaking "Thank you for that, This technique seems like it will be quite useful, as well as it has already opened my eyes to the true beauty of the world, one does not simply see it, but they must feel it, to truly understand" he laid back just enjoying the feel from feeling the nature around him, the creatures the water hit, the very ground as it turned to mud.

And with it being on such a wide scale, this was truly amazing, he was suprised it took as little chakra as it did, but it was not being used in combat, so maybe that was a perk of this jutsu for that reason alone.

"ONce you have the seals down it is important to shift your chakra from the point you naturally hold it in t....oh. " She felt small black spots in her vision for a moment, which was an odd sensation after being able to have absolute vision of the world around her. The vision came back, of course. As the rain mixed with her chakra found it's place mixed with Tenma's, she could see it too. Her sensory mapped out the place where his water set, giving vision back to the blank spaces. "I suppose you have a bit more practice with suiton then I did. Do you intuitively shift your chakra to your third eye point for sensory techniques or did you make the inference while casting the jutsu?" Casting. Was that the correct word? It felt right, though her experience was sparse so far, and she generally just equated everything to her knowledge of magic. Maybe use would have been better there. She'd figure it out eventually.

She could feel the rush of chakra pulsing in her body, but still, she drew in the powerful energy. She needed more. The great exploding colliding wave technique was on a scale much larger than anything she'd tried to use yet, and she was certain that it would require more power then she was used to. another rush of energy flowed into her throat chakra, wakening her senses to exactly what she expected. there was a secondary chakra point beneath her tongue, smaller but able to be used as a focus point for her energy. As more suiton flowed from her lips, the flow cut off just long enough for her to speak before begining again, she felt it grow stronger. It still wasn't enough however.

"Maybe I dont have enough chakra to understand the grips of this technique" The statement wasn't meant to engage tenma, though it could easily have seemed to be pointed his direction. She often talked to herself when she was training. She could, of course, work through this non verbally, but she found that actually hearing her words helped her to process the situation around her.

She cut the flow of powerful energy from her heart chakra point to her throat, deciding simply to spend time drawing energy into her form. A slow trickle of power would not fuel the volume of suiton she needed to use this particular jutsu. She felt it overflow from her heart chakra, the storage point filled to the brim, and allowed the energy to trickle outward, pouring like a fountain into her solar point. Her chest buzzed with energy as she pooled more and more of the energy within her body to be active.

"it's brilliant isn't it? The ability to recognize the world around you that the rain tiger at will technique uses? Even more then that, the suiton you're using is a powerful weapon that cannot be used by others. The moment I was told of it's existence I knew it needed to be a tool in my arsenal. The ability to react to the unseen pales in comparison to the power to call elemental energy from anywhere on the battlefield. "

Tenma would continue to funnel chakra into the skies above, Feeling anyone and anything within the water gardens, not just seeing it, while he had the rain going a technique appeared into his head he had just seen in his book, jumping up and heading over to Amber he would pull his book out and flip to the page with the technique. Then he would Show it to her "What about this technique to combine with your Rain Tiger" the technique he pointed at was hiding in rain technique, the ability to be hidden in plain sight, while sensing around you in a full three hundred and sixty degree field of vision. This could change a fight in his favor, or hers if she so used the same idea.

After handing her the book, he would practice the hand signs for a moment, getting them down pact, before heading out into the rain and turning to look at her, He nodded to her "Alright im going to give this a try" and without further adieu, he started doing the hand signs, and he could feel the hand signs mold his chakra the way it needed to be through his body, allowing him to effectivly disappear in the rain, however since Amber had her Rain tiger going at the same time, it was possible she could still 'See' Him. But with eyesight alone, he would effectivly disappear into the rain.

This was an amazing thought and find, this was what he needed to change the flow of fights into his favor, he smiled and let the Hiding in Rain technique fade away and he would step up into the gazebo again, he nodded to her " well what do you think? Also what are you working on?" he was curious as to this, well that was why he asked, however he had to ask cause of curiosity.

"Hm? What is it?" She assumed right after he'd said the first statement that a response was soon to follow, but for the sake of convorsation she asked the question anyway. Sure enough his question was followed with a small section of the book he was holding, and probably the same style of book she had herself. Glancing about the page confirmed, it was a book with information on jutsu in it. It took her a moment to process this fact. It was an odd thing for someone to tackle problems in the same way she did. It wasn't often that she experienced this and it surprised her. He took notes in the same way she had decided was the best course of action, and was using that information to be able to teach himself techniques that he didn't personally know. That was super neat.

"Interesting. Hiding in the rain technique. " She studied the information, taking in exactly how it worked. It reminded her of the way she would shift through shadows within the prime material plane, though obviously this technique just his her physical form instead of taking her to a shadow plane of the main dimension. Maybe it was possible to modify the technique in order to work like her magic did. She'd lost concentration on her task as she considered the option before her, but the flow of water, which stopped only long enough for her to speak if needed, had began to pulse from her lips more and more heavily.

"I think that would be helpful actually. Go ahead and give it a go. " She stopped as she felt her lips form words in a very odd way. The calm deliberate tone that she was known for shattered for a moment, giving way to words turned sour by a heavy accent that casued her eyes to widen in surprise. She hadn't spoken in that accent in some time. She remembered being in britian. She was born there, at least initially, but the accent felt as foreign on her tongue as it would to her training partner.

"Sorry. Don't know wha.... Oh. " He was gone. She had missed him forming the hand seals initially, and in her failure to pay attention to his movement she'd missed the effects of the jutsu entirely. THrough the power of the rain she could feel a mass of chakra before her, about where Tenma had once stood, and she could only assume that was where he hid. Once more rain tiger at will proved itself to be a valuable technique that gratned remakrable insight.

"Well.... Doesn't quite hide you from the rain... Though i hadn't known you were using the technique I probably would have mistaken you for just a large puddle. This seems to be a pretty effective trick Tenma. " Could he hear her? It stood to reason that he would still be able to experience the world around him, but as someone who'd not yet learned much about the hiding in water technique she wasn't really sure.

While Tenma was happy he thought of a good combination, however, it would seem that she was not keen on giving any information , this just went to prove the earlier thought on her dodging rather then not hearing when he asked for her name, he would shrug, taking his book back and sitting back down reading some more, he would practice a little more later, but at the moment, he wanted to do some more studying.
