her focus would be broken when mid convorsation her training partner simply seemed to check out, his eyes shifting away from their task as he moved back under the safety of the gazebo to begin reading. It confused her. Had she said something that caused him to no longer be interested in the convorsation? With her concentration no longer placed fully in the task at hand she finally realized just how heavy of a toll the training had taken on her body. The gifts of sorrow had been a blessing for so long that she wasn't used to the intense focus on energy management that was generally required to continue fighting or training for long periods of time. Until she'd sacrificed her magic, she'd simply always had enough mana. With her mana pool depleted she'd found issues being able to push through exhaustion. And then she landed here. chakra was still incredibly new to her. She released her attempts to use the great exploding colliding wave technique, at least for the current moment, allowing her chakra to retreat back into the solar chakra point in the center of her chest, and as it did, she felt exhasution grip her body. Her legs waivered, threatening to drop her to the hard stone of the floor beneath, and for a moment her eye sight became unclear. Taking a step back she would allow herself to plop down a bit too roughly onto one of the benches behind her, her breath suddenly much more rapid then before. She would need to pay strict attention to this in the future or it could casue death.

"E... EVerything OK Tenma?" She wanted to address the odd response. maybe he too was just tired. It may be a good idea for them to simply take off for the day. Unfortunately the right plan and the plan that she chose were often opposites. She'd wait for his response, trying to clear her double vision as she studied his form with her eyes, his body mostly outside of the range of her rain's sensory power. She wasn't sure if it was something she'd said and or done, or if it was some other factor that had made the sudden change in his demeanor, but she found it important to find out. If she'd upset him it would be important to fix things. she had very few people that she could train with, and even within the two that she had, he was the only one to her knowledge that knew suiton. To lose this ally would mean having to train in her main element by herself once again and losing out on another's experience and knowledge pursuit would cripple her ability to learn.

From the bag at her side she pulled out two bottles of water. The first she offered to tenma, offering him a smile that would seem fairly genuine. The second she opened quickly tossing the top to the ground before draining the contents in a single breath.

His response was Brief and a little sharp, almost as if his words could cut, "yea" he continued however to read, He was studying various Jutsu, while reading them and studying them, thinking about what he could combine together to help him in future exams and even fights, Between a possible element mixture as well as including his own family based element, Different things came to mind.

One possible one was something similar to the Rain tiger at will which his was still going, was turning it into snow, and then there is the hiding in rain technique, that could be a hiding in snow technique, he could really turn just about any of his jutsu he had learned and was reading about into Snowy versions, Icy even, this could make things really interesting as well as unique, setting him apart from other people in a whole new way.

He was still silent after his one worded answer to Amber, It wasnt that he was ignoring or upset with her, simply that he was deep in thought for future tactical situations.

"O...Ok...." she turned her attention back to her own work, to the book in her hands that held the few secrets she'd been able to gain from those within the village hidden in the snow about the power of this particular suiton technique. She cursed herself again, or more specifically cursed her inability to take decent notes. THe page was horibly kept and hastily written, and only had vague explanations of what she was expected to do. She could see her past self nodding proudly at the notes she'd jotted down, taking in the relative speed at which the ninja had talked and reveling in how well she'd taken notes. SHe could also see her eyes shifting across the paper as she considered if it would be important to expound upon the sections that seemed vague. Past amber would, as she always did, shake her head, deciding there was definitely enough on the page to sustain her undertanding. She would remember why she'd written it the way she did when the time to practice the technique came around. She did not remember the reasoning behind why she wrote these the way she did when the time came around. THus was always life.

SHe pulled herself from her reading after several moments. THe sudden curtness of Tenma's actions weighed on her mind the entire time she studied, drawing her mind from thoughts of the great exploding colliding wave technique, and in true amber fashion, made her play back every convorsation she'd had in the day. She passed the few words she'd had with tenma fairly quickly, and was on to convorsations with other people in the village before she realized she was more then too far off topic, and needed to do something about the exchange before she lost the entire rest of the day to her paranoia. "Are you sure? Because you just suddenly closed up and stopped conversation or mutually beneficial work. DId I say or do something that bothered you?" This was always the fun part of the convorsation. This was the point when, more then half the time, the person she was associating with would decide that her cruelty would warrant assault. There was a time when she lived for it, but her words grew softer and less cold as she gained years. Now, and only partially moved by her need to keep a low profile while her body trained up in order to gain the strength needed to be able to defend against attackers, she prefered to have pleasant discourse that involved words instead of blades.

That though brought her mind back to sorrow. Her eyes seemed to glaze over as she thought of the blade that had been by her side since it's gifting. Asside from her magic it had been the driving force that fueled her survival for countless years, and the causation of cruelty for even more. Was this punishment for her past that the soul blade she cared so dearly for was lost?
