Upon kneeling, Xyxer began and a light pace towards the girl. Her fists clenched and her arms tensed, but they didn't move. Her pupils gave way to the expansion of silver, but didn't break contact with his. Her jaw clenched shut as she readied herself to vanish in a golden flash of light at the first sign of attack, taking a knee meant she was in a bad position to fight. Even more so, her body tensed as the man paused, and the atmosphere lightened. Instead of an attack while she was on her knee, Risako was treated to a hand. After a second's hesitation, she brought her left hand into his and pulled herself off of the ground.

Xyxer then took a step back and went on to request that all of the village's ninja be gathered before him in order of rank. The village lacked, Masters, the ANBU were currently viewed as the strongest in the village. Nodding, Risako would take two steps backwards before turning around and heading into Konohagakure no Sato. Looking to her people, the Deputy Kage would give the order, "Everyone line up, ANBU in the front, Genin in the back, fall into order according to rank."

Once this was complete, the Deputy Kage gave a final order before exiting the village once more, "Follow me." She walked slowly to her spot in front of Xyxer, standing at a solid five meter distance before stopping. Refusing to take let the man out of her vision at this distance, she would turn her head the left, keeping him within her peripheral vision. "Konoha, kneel."

Now depending on how that situation at the gates gets resolved, the outcome could be vastly different and will be detailed if it comes to it.

The alleged Hokage used his hand in order to pull herself up from the wet earth below her, clumps of the moist ground now staining the lower half of the white robes she wore to signify her kageship. Oh well, it's nothing that a bit of TLC wouldn't sort out. He started walking around this point, oblivious to the actions that were about to unfold and potentially change the entire course of the situation. The stalwart innocence of a child was about to endanger the lives of many, a Genin that was currently oblivious to the consequences that standing against Kirigakure wrought. With each step back towards his own army, the wrath of the beast within whirled within the mortal vessel. It insisted that he avenged his leader, that he continued the rivalry between the villages, and the closer he moved towards his own army the more influence the beast gained. Stopping in his tracks as he watched over the armoured ranks of his war band, he witnessed the unwavering lines. The men that stood there both strongly and obediently. Lesser men would find their natures betray them in situations like these.. Perhaps in the form of breaking the rank due to some misguided belief in being superior to his fellow shinobi, or perhaps even attempt to stray from the pack as an act of cowardice. Yet, there they stood line upon line.. Ready for war the horrors that come with it. Scouring over the first line in the army until he came upon the ANBU hidden behind a bear mask, he'd bow his head lightly to him to show his acknowledgement of his ability to keep the army in order. A slow gesture, but a meaningful one.

Twisting his body around on the drowned mud beneath him, he came upon the sight of a young boy wandering through the gates, but of even more note was that he wore a Tadashi Club™ hoodie. Which was confusing, because Xyxer had no clue what the fucking Tadashi Club™ was. Regardless, before any words could be spoken by the boy, he also caught sight of a body or two falling from the wall in order to intercept what appeared to be a harmless genin. Were they trying to keep him out of harm.. perhaps it was rude to have the youngest arrive before the elders? Xyxer was unsure what would happen, and as such, Xyxer would not detail anything further out of fear of his entire post getting voided.

The First Storm [Village Destruction] - Page 2 Empty Re: The First Storm [Village Destruction]

[Prefacing this by saying that I'm forced to take this somewhat seriously if only because I don't like being meta'd.]

A reflection in his headband alerted him to movement from above. How curious Tatsuo had thought to himself. Why would people be jumping from the walls. Perhaps because of himself? It was the likely reason. They must have noticed him from way up there, even if they had been watching the exchange ahead of them in the middle of a storm instead. But no, somehow they had managed to spot the boy. It made him wonder. Was this a trap? Agents of Kirigakure, that must have been it. Tatsuo afforded himself a glance upward to confirm. Two in total. One ahead of the other by a few seconds. The one ahead did a hand seal. So it was an attack then.

The battle had already begun.

There was plenty of time to react. The drop from the walls to the floor was quite high. A kunai would have been drawn into his hand slightly after the smoke arrived from the technique the attacker had used. While it did well to prevent people from seeing inside, it also prevented those inside of it from seeing out. Tatsuo didn't care that much of course. He knew were they were aiming for. The boy reacted accordingly as such.

The clones would find themselves about to touch down in the smoke filled area. The one on the right would have begun it's movement to perform a handseal. What prevented it was a kunai that would be set to cut through it's chest. A slicing motion from the boy upward would see that the clone should be dispersed from the action. Then again, they might magically have a reason to try and prevent said attack. They had after all seen through his intent from way up high. Who knows. At the same time, the clone that would be to his left would find itself in a similar situation. The difference however was that the metallic plate of the shinobi headband would crunch into its nose.

With no reason to actually be able to react to the attacks, given their lack of vision and still being in mid-air before landing, the likely hood of the strikes going through would be high. Some may even say guaranteed, but this writer doesn't autohit like others so it's simply highly likely.

The smoke was added to with the smoke that would come from the deceased clones. With a kunai still in his grip, Tatsuo now had only two more foes to deal with. The one whom had let the wall the slowest would land in front of Tatsuo within a few seconds. A simple enough thing to deal with. The boy swung the arm in which he held the kunai upward. As the red haired Genin would descend into the smoke it would be met with the sharpened edge of the weapon. If no reaction occurred the kunai was set to slice the Genin from groin upward to chin.

Tatsuo was already moving before they landed, moving around and past them at his fastest speed. If the hit went through then they would likely crumble to the floor bleeding profusely. Medical aid would be required of course. The last remained just outside of the smoke at this point. Unaware of what occurred due to obscure vision, the first sign of anything out of the ordinary would be the thrown kunai aimed to lodge into their gut.

With the only truly reason for the Genin that assaulted him to change their action being that of a precognitive vision from the future, it was almost assured that Tatsuo would continue on his walk toward Xyxer.

The nervousness would be gone from the young boy at this point. His clothes stained in blood his expression would remain neutral.

Even though Kisuke moved faster than Jason, the Senju sprang into action first and managed to get his attack in before Kisuke was done scaling the side of the wall. Running along the wall as if it were the ground, with just the right amount of chakra coursing through the soles of his boots, Kisuke would come to kneel on the wall after a sliding halt. Now several meters over the location of the boy which also placed him right over the entrance of the gate Kisuke grunted in anger. "You fucking moron." He whispered to himself as the other Genin sprang into action before he could. The haze of smoke that was created prevented Kisuke from being able to lock eyes with the newcomer Genin and therefore thwarted his plan and possibly also saved him from losing his crown jewels. With the puffy white smoke obscuring the Genin, Kisuke spider-man like would scale down the wall, into the entrance of the gate. Hanging onto the top arch of the entrance way he would drop down onto the ground. Facing the village, the young Uchiha was now several feet away from Tatsuo's location.

Once the Genin walked out he would come to see Kisuke standing before him, a Konoha headguard loosely tied around his waist thus showing clearly that he was not a Kiri operative. It was at about this moment that Risako had called upon her fellow shinobi to come down and kneel before the foreign leader. "Listen to me kid." Kisuke said calmly, trying to hold back his usual vulgarity in an attempt to get this kid to understand the desperate situation they found themselves in. "I dont know what your intentions are but they arent good. Unless you're trying to get us all killed, put the damn kunai away and kneel." Pointing over his shoulder with his thumb but still facing Tatsuo, he would continue "That flat chested girl over there is our leader and she's kneeling for us, now lets follow our leader, like a proper shinobi should." If he chose to listen Kisuke would turn around, follow Risako and kneel behind her where the Genin's were suppose to be, expecting Tatsuo to follow.

If Tatsuo made no attempt to put his kunai away, converse with Kisuke, agree to kneel or even stop his determined path towards the enemy, Kisuke would lift his left arm when Tatsuo got to about 2 feet in front of him. Keeping his arm bent as to keep it out of the range of the kunai, with an index finger stretched out Kisuke would point right at Tatsuo and said "Im not going to let you get us all killed." The young Uchiha had just seen him make short work of the Senju's plan and therefore knew he wasnt here to help. Standing right before Tatsuo, the odds he saw Kisuke's hand gesture were likely. If he did then Ephemeral would activate, locking the kid into his current position. If it worked, standing so close to one another Kisuke would grab the kid and bring him behind the wall.

If the Senju was still around Kisuke would tell him to bind up Tatsuo for this Genjutsu wouldnt last forever and doing it behind the wall wouldnt let the others see. If they asked Kisuke what happened he would say he passed out in fear or some bull shit excuse. He would now walk around the wall and kneel. Whatever outcome, Kisuke wanted to be kneeling behind his leader at the end of this.

(love how yall aren't using yer actual stats to blitz him and end this. Carry on scholars)

Salzem followed Risako onto the field of submission (assuming this kid was dealt with in a clean and precise manner), the wolven ninja's shoulders slack with defeat. True and utter defeat. His eyes were wide, still in shock that Risako had just handed over everyone and everything they had ever owned to the bloody Mist. He walked like was in a trance, staring off into nothingness, his eyes glazed over as if they'd been consumed by his peripheral vision. The lycan knelt behind his leader quietly, the only sound he made being the ruffling of his clothes. As instructed by their new dictatorial overlord, he knelt a certain distance away to make room for the higher-ups but from there, the only movement he made was the rising and falling of his chest. His arm rested on his thigh and his eyes were locked firmly on the ground as if he might find some sort of justification there... In the dirt and pebbles...

It reminded him that everyone was dead.

Yup. More of the people he loved were DEAD than they were alive today. He'd lost track of how many nor could he remember all of their names at this point... Only faces. Reminds him of how many died without justification or honor, how many more still needed some kind of peace.... Salzem had hoped for a battle... Something that could set his mind at ease and lay everyone to rest... He didn't care if he died... AND despite having a girlfriend that he loved more than anything in the world... he actually wanted to die... It felt strange admitting it now but it didn't feel off in the least... Was this... liberation he felt, this soft fluttering in his chest? Admitting that death was indeed what he sought...? Perhaps. And if this was true, it didn't matter. His duty came first and it disgraced him once again, these rusty, barbed shackles of his. Truth was, everyone was dead and died worthlessly and he wouldn't be the one to save them... To justify their deaths... To be the man he wanted to be.  He could see that now, written all over the submissive back of Risako Akara.

One might suspect Salzem would resent her... And maybe he did if you dug far enough past his own perception. No... now all he wanted to do was die... die and hope he went to a place without feeling and let this guilt drain away to nothingness...

Kira would likely feel this utter despair and mindless loss drip and slither into her mind from Salzem's, a mere taste of what was going on right now.

It was surprising how numbing to all but the worst heartbreak despair was.... His Muscles and eyeballs tingled all up and down from how they locked down in it and his tendons tightened as if his body was going through a morphing process into a statue. Heh... he questioned quietly, far back into the recesses where no one could guess it or Kira could hear it.

Would the Mizukage kill him first...?

Kinzoku was completely caught off guard by the actions of Kisuke and Jason on the newcomer. Kinzoku had no idea who the newcomer was, and based on his chakra levels he could very well just be an academy student. But why was he here? He clearly did not have the strength needed to fight back, and all civilians were ordered to retreat. Him being here alone only made things more complicated. He would either screw things up or be a body needing protections. Basically, a distraction. But Kisuke and Jason were quick to react and made their attempts at stopping him before he screwed up everything Risako was trying to avoid,  a slaughter house.

The leaders of both nations left, Risako coming back to the few who came to her air while the Mizukage resumed a position back with his army. It was pretty clear what Risako was coming back for. Too have everyone kneel just as she had done. Complying with his leader, Kinzoku jumped down from his position landing only a few feet shy of Risako. As ordered, he along with the shinobi who gathered would follow Risako. The closer Kinzoku got to the army of the Bloody Mist, the more he realized the disadvantage they were at. What really caught his eye was the 15ft robot, not so much out of fear but more out of interest. But he quickly shifted thoughts as a came up just ahead of Salzem taking his position. Bending his left knee into the mud, the Nazar knelt just as he was bid to.

Even though things were going smoothly at the moment, Kinzoku was still worried. Worried that the one Kisuke and Jason were trying to deal with would fuck things up for everyone. But most of all, worried about what was to come next. Just like with Kumo, Suna was forced to kneel to them. But they were also forced to give up everything to Kumo and abandon the entire village. Is that what the Mizukage was looking to do, simply assimilate Konoha into his own forces? These next few moments would be detrimental to the life of everyone, and to the Will of Fire.

Amid a crowd of confused and lost jouninn yen walked forward. They lined up and like many knelt down behind their kage. Yen was one of the few last ones that walked out as he glanced over at the three genin scruffeling like kids on a playground.

Really you three!

Yen thought as he looked forward towards the kiri forces. His mind was calm. Surely this was not true.  But each step was a dull blow to his pride. Finally as the third from the end yen knelt down hand over right knee and he stared down at the muddy grass.

To think i was forced to my knees. No one to hold me up. Where will one hold me up like i hold others?

Yen thought as the dull sense of defeat was a bitter pill to swallow. It was an uncomfortable feeling to be the one to simply be left to the dirt. Now it was real as he felt the rain fall on him now it was real since he like the others were left at the mercy of another nation.

The First Storm [Village Destruction] - Page 2 Empty Re: The First Storm [Village Destruction]

Mon Aug 28, 2017 4:52 pm
The Kaguya found himself sitting on a stool at the counter of a bar with a glass of sake in one hand and the other playing with the two set of earrings he was currently wearing. With both arms on the counter, Kotsuzui was simply laying there listening to the sound of the winds pick up from outside the bar. They were the winds of a heavy storm, each passing moment they picked up. The bar itself was relatively empty, most people deciding to stay in and take shelter in their homes, for the moment. With the first sight of rains drops against the window behind the bartender, Kotsuzui raised his glass to his mouth finish the last of his sake. "Better get going before I get caught in this storm" he said to himself slapping a bit of ryo onto the counter. The moment he got up from his seat and walked over to the exit, the storm had arrived. Winds unlikely any the Kaguya had every seen with rains that drenched you the moment you stepped out. How pleasant. But that wasn't worrisome to the Kaguya, what was worrisome were all the civilians running in the same direction. Rather, running away from the same thing.

Stepping outside into the storm, Kotsuzui quickly realized with further inspection that the civilians were all being led by shinobi of the village. "Just like Suna" he muttered under his breath as he looked down the direction where everyone was running from. Kotsuzui had participated in the Jounin exams held in Suna. After the exams there had been invaders who came and assumed control over Suna. In both situations the civilians were being led to safety in the same manner. Last time Kotsuzui was one of the shinobi leading people to safety. This time he'd be there to greet the invaders. Using the rooftops as to not be impeded by the evacuation as well as slow himself down, Kotsuzui quickly began heading towards the village gates.

It wasn't long before he reached the outer limit of the building nearest the gates. Other Konoha shinobi had arrived before he, Kisuke being one of them. But the sights beyond the gates and into the forests told the Kaguya a very clear message. They were heavily outnumbered. If these invaders came here to fight, they came prepared. Though as it were it seemed a fight was put on hold, for the Kage's of both villages were currently in the process of talking things out. Clenching his fist, Kotsuzui couldn't help but let escape a sly grin. Even though the odds weren't in his favor, the thrill of a fight was not something he could hold back. It was in his blood. But the smile vanished as quick as it had appeared when he saw his Hokage kneel to the Mizukage. Just like that, just like Suna they had given up. In hindsight it was probably the best decision to make for the safety of the village and its people. But they had given up, just like that.

Kotsuzui was loyal, and despite the sensation of rage he was feeling inside, he would follow the orders of his leaders. It wasn't his place to disobey them. He needed to do whatever it took it protect his home. The rage inside of him had overtaken the Kaguya's emotions so much that he didn't pay any mind to matter Jason and Kisuke were attending to. His eyes were focused on the Mizukage as he walked away back to his army. Risako came to gather his shinobi and have them bend the knee as well, so that was what Kotsuzui was going to do. Along with the others, Kotsuzui fell in behind his leader and followed them. Not only did they have to bend the knee, but they had to do it in front of the army itself. If for some reason things went south, they were ripe for the picking in their current spot. Nothing about this scenario was good for them.

Falling in beside Salzem and any other Chuunin who may show up, Kotsuzui bent his knee as it sunk into the wet earth turned to mud. Sunk, like the village itself. How far had this village fallen that it could no longer defend itself? The rage continued to consume the Kaguya, a sense of wrath swelling inside of him towards the Mizukage and his army. Though on the outside Kotsuzui remained stoic, revealing no signs of the struggle within. He would never forgive Kiri for what they've done, but somehow this wrath was not for kiri alone. This village, his home was to blame for it as well. But he would have to put that aside for now. Who knew what was to come next.

The First Storm [Village Destruction] - Page 2 Empty Re: The First Storm [Village Destruction]

Mon Aug 28, 2017 10:30 pm
Artemis stared out her hospital room window, watching the dark clouds that hovered over the village like an ominous God. There was no doubt in the girl;s mind that the sky was going to cry upon the village. The young Pendragon believed that when it rained, it was the world crying over something tragic that’s happened. Artemis’ face grew solemn as she thought of what could have possibly happened out in the world.

There was a sudden knock on the door that led to her room. Not even flinching, Artemis asked them to come in. She had already known that person was approaching before they were even ten meters out. “How are you feeling Ms. Pendragon?” The doctor asked, coming in and taking a seat near her bedside, scribbling notes on a clipboard. “I am doing well, thank you. How long until I make a full recovery?” The girl asked, knowing full well i had only been two days since she was admitted with ten shattered bones, and a pierced lung. It had been one hell of a mission. She was just thankful a fellow operative had arrived when he did.

“Well, after we have your last procedure later today to fix up the remainder of your bones, you should make a full recovery in a month’s time, and will be able to get back to your training a week before that.” The male spoke enthusiastically as Artemis simply continued to look out the window. “Everything seems to still be good on my end. I’ll be back in a few hours for the procedure.” It wasn’t until now that Artemis faced him and nodded, giving him a gentle smile.

An hour had passed after this exchange, and the rain had finally began to poor. The girl could almost feel herself dozing off to the delicate sounds of water droplets striking the glass window. Just as she was about to finally close her eyes, the very slight sounds of feet touching the ground woke her. Standing at the end of her bed was an anbu operative, the same one who had come to save her during her last mission. “We have a situation…” He reported, before filling her in on the details. She knew she couldn’t simply stay in the hospital with everything that was happening near the gates, so she made the decision to head over that way.

The black haired girl carefully made her wait out of the bed. She could feel her body aching, trying to warn her to continue to rest. With all the training and pain she endured to become an anbu, she fought through it, and made her way to her apartment where she gathered her things and suited up before making her way towards the gates.

The girl had expected a fight to had already begun by the time she got there, but she was welcomed by something entirely unexpected. Everyone was… kneeling? Kneeling to this unknown man who had come to what appeared to be, conquer the Hidden Leaf. Suddenly, Artemis felt torn. She had sworn an oath to protect the village and it’s people, but being an Anbu meant following the leadership of the Hokage, in this case being Lady Risako. Artemis had just arrived as the short haired woman ask those present to kneel to this man.

Still feeling the pains from her injury with every step, Artemis made her way to the front. She didn’t like what was going on, but she hoped that Risako had the village’s interest in mind in making this decision to bend the knee to this man. It was this reason that Artemis decided to follow her lead. The onyx haired girl would slowly kneel a few steps ahead of where the Jonin were.
