Untrustworthy (Part 4)
Sun Dec 10, 2017 6:32 pm
Its been 3 days since he's been in his cell. He's been doing fairly okay but he's just been really bored. He can't go for walks around like he usually do. The food here isn't as bad as he expected it to be... surprisingly. But he has to get out of here soon. There is a lot that needs to be done. As he remains laying on the floor with his eye's closed. Thinking about taking another nap since there isn't really much else to do. Every day he hears the same thing. Other inmates arguing and threatening each other. And other unnecessary noises coming from the prison. All he wants is a little peace and quiet so he can doze off as time passes.

Kira approached the guard station near the gates, a solemn look glued upon her face. The two guards that were located there had there faces buried in paperwork; They only looked up when the Uzumaki was practically standing over them. She handed them her papers, identifying herself before they motioned for her to enter. “Do you know where I can find Kyson Hozuki?” She asked. "It’s for an urgent matter.” The two guards looked at each other before one sighed. “Kyson is currently imprisoned for treason, lasting indefinitely. If you wish to see him, you will have to visit the prison. For any important matters, you will have to report them to the Raikage’s office.”
There was no change in the Chunin’s face, but she couldn’t help but feel like she’d been cursed. Could one thing be presented to her easily? It seems to be difficult after difficulty, and it didn’t seem like it was going to come to an end soon. “Okay, thank you.” Was all she could muster to say. She had little energy to argue or come back with some witty remark as she usually does. She’d simply make her way to the prison and find the man she was looking for.
Walking through the streets of Kumo felt… grim. There was a sense to tenseness in the air around every villager she passed by. It was once again a change of scenery too. Going from the deserts of Suna to the tropical forests of Hoshi, and now the mountains of Kumo. There was so much change going on around her that she was finally starting to find it hard to keep up. Kira was beginning to slowly lose her composure that she tried so hard to keep steady. Every minute, she felt like she was about to completely lose it.
The heterochromatic eyed girl approached the prison entrance, signing in properly. “I’m here to see Kyson Hozuki.” She stated to the entrance guard. the woman looked at her with a stern eye that Kira gladly reciprocated. The stare down lasted a few seconds before the guard signed off a few things on a piece of paper. “Wait there.” She said, pointing at a few seats in the waiting area. Kira failed to obliged as the guard disappeared behind a door. It was a few minutes before she came back, a loud buzzer going off as another door opened. “Head through there and down the hall. You’ll find him in cell 128.”
Kira nodded, and headed off through the door passing by multiple cells filled with big bad people with even bigger mouths. “Hey hot thing, why don’t you come in my cell and let me show you a good time.” One shouted as the Uzumaki passed by. “You look like you know your way around a stripper pole. I got a pole that can use some attention.” Yelled another before a group of laughter shot through the hall. Kira simply ignored them, but if she was in any other mood, she’d probably get herself placed in one of these cells by killing every one of these uncivilized ingrates.
Kira made her way near the end of the hall before she finally found cell number 128; Kyson laying on the floor in the middle of the cell. “Giving up?” She asked in a joking matter, but her tone appeared a little more monotone than usual. I guess she just didn’t have it in her right now. “What in the hell got you in here?” She asked, leaning on the wall next to his cell.

Laying in the middle of the floor of his cell. Gathering up some ideas in his head, he could almost die from boredom right about now. He thought about ways he could possibly escape, but with this seal on his back. He can't even use the smallest portions of his chakra. Being a expert with fuinjutsu, he could tell this seal is about an A rank level jutsu. He sometimes think if he should of just fought back to prevent all of this, but killing multiple shinobi from your own village isn't going to solve anything. Especially when your trying to lead them. But he couldn't blame them at the sane time. Though Kyson never really told any secrets about Kumo to anyone, since he was never really told any before he left. But he wouldn't expect them to believe him.
After a few minutes of thinking to himself. Kyson heard the inmates talking and making weird remarks. What the hell are they talking about now. Kyson thought to himself. From what they were saying, they were speaking as if a girl was walking down the hallway; Judging from what they were saying and their pervy pickup lines. But they also said the same exact thing to guys walking down the hallway, so Kyson didn't get his hopes up. As he laid there on the floor, he didn't pay attention to anyone that was walking down the hallway. It had nothing to do with him anyway.
Until he heard a voice speak directly towards him. Hearing the words that came out, he was curious as to see who this familiar voice was. As he laid there and opened one eye to see who this visitor was. It was none other than Kira. He wasn't expecting to see her here. He turned his body to face her as he was laying on the ground. Laying on his hip and resting his head on his palm. "Me? Never just taking a day-" Kyson said as he cut himself off and saw the look on her face. Her vibe was a bit different, empty would best describe it from his perspective. Coming from a person who've known her for quite a while. He would then begin to sit up in a criss cross position. Seeing as it probably wasn't the best time to start cracking jokes. "Some stuff happened..." Kyson would say instead. She then asked what he was doing in such a place like this. Which was understandable since he was just promoted to second in command of Kumo. And then heading back to HQ only to find himself locked up.
"Well, no matter if it was one, two, or even five years ago. Leaving a village without permission is still against the law. So I guess I had it coming." Kyson would say as he rested his chin on his right palm. She looked like she been through a lot, well shit both of them have for the past few weeks. "So what have you been up to? How your little side mission go?" Kyson asked. From what he remembered, she had to go to Konoha to go save Sal. Judging from the look on her face, something didn't go as planned.
After she responds, one of the prison guards would begin to speak. "If you two would like to speak in a more quiet place. There are rooms you can go to so you don't have to talk over these rude inmates." The guard would say. Kyson thought that be a better idea. Because having to hear these guys while they are having an important convo will start to annoy him.

Kira’s unusual grim expression must have given away that she was distraught as Kyson caught off mid sentence. The girl couldn’t even bring herself to look him in the eye which was odd for how confident and cocky the girl was. A sly smile creeped on her face to the irony of his second remark. Some stuff did happen, or some shit as one might label it instead because it really was a shit storm. There was also the fact that she hadn’t had a decent night’s sleep in a few days and she was late on her cycle. She was about one comment away from one of these prison dick heads from turning into the devil himself and ripping off each one of their heads.
“Ah that’s right… I almost forgot this is your home village.” She said, a weak smile on her face. “Considered you a Suna native.” She could recall the first time she had met Kyson and Royalty. She hadn’t trusted them. They came from a dangerous land and she was quick to assume they were some sort of double agents or something, but maybe it was just her nature of not trusting people. Then again, maybe they had been in on the whole Suna takeover, feeding information to Kumo for when the time was right? …. Nah.
The weak smile was wiped from the girl’s face as Kyson asked how her side mission went. Kira took a beat, trying to find the words to describe how it went as flashes of Sal’s memory ran through her mind. Before she cold answer, a guard offered them a private room to talk. She hadn’t realized that the prisoner in the opposite cell of Ky was rubbing one out to her, and the others were still making grotesque cat calls. “Yes, please.” The Uzumaki responded, as the guard came over to open up the gate that held the Hozuki.
The three of them made their way to a windowless room that was only lit up by a single light that hung from the center of the ceiling. A small table underneath it surrounded by two chairs. The room rather dull, it’s gray cinderblocks stripped of anything decorative besides the chipped paint. It really wasn’t helping the Uzumaki’s already depressive state.
Kira took a seat in one of the chairs, and waited for Ky to take his. She stared at the center of the table, her hands interlocked as she found it hard to say the worlds out loud. “The mission failed… I wasn’t able to get their in time…” Her eyes stung, but she was able to keep back any tears that tried to fight their way out. The Uzumaki tried to continue professional, sharing the intel that may be of use to the STORM captain once he gets out of this prison. “I assume that Kirigakure successfully took over Konoha. If this is true, and they continue their domination, we can only assume that Kumo will eventually be on their list.”
She paused, letting the information sink in for the Hozuki. If it was indeed possible that Konoha was conquered, there could be a full on war on the horizon. Although that probably meant more death, it was something Kira was fine with. She wanted to find whoever took Sal away from her and squeeze the life right out of them slowly and painfully. “How long until you’re out of this hell hole?” She asked, assuming Ky had a plan.

As of right now, Kyson doesn't really know where he belongs at the moment. He's not sure if he is a Suna shinobi or a Kumo shinobi. But regardless of the circumstances, he has devoted himself to become a Kumo shinobi once again. He feels he was brought back here for a reason. Still trying to figure out why, but he will soon have the answer one of these days. "Well Suna did feel more like home." He would say in response to her Suna comment. After that, a guard was willing to escort the two to a more quiet place. A room where they can talk in peace without all these other inmates around.
Kira was on board with it, so it was settled. The guard opened up Kyson's cell as he was being escorted to another room. It was a breathe of fresh air to be outside of the cell. As he walks into the room, it didn't look as pretty as he pictured it into his head. But anything was better than that damn cell. As Kyson took a seat on the opposite side of Kira at the table. Kyson was curious to see how her quest to Konoha went. She struggled a bit to get her words out, but she stated her mission was a failure. Kyson sighed when he heard those words. Having your home taken is never an easy thing to go through. "I see..." Kyson said, those were the only words he could even think about saying at the moment. Kira continued to speak and mentioned that Kirigakure took over Konoha. Kyson was a bit lost because he never heard of that village. Never even heard Maku mention it when they had their 1 on 1 meetings.
"Kirigakure? Never really heard of them. Besides, I wouldn't be surprised if the whole world was after Kumo after all we've done. I mean hell, you've seen what's in our front lawn. Just the sight of that would piss anyone off." Kyson said as he sits back in his seat. He sounded like he was telling joke but he never cracked a smile. He was just telling it how it was. Kumo has committed a lot of sins in their past and present. Its only a matter of time before things come back around. As Kyson spoke he saw the guard give off an annoyed look on his face. But he was also intrigued by the information Kira said. "So your.. from Suna? You told me you were part of the Ninja Circus that goes around village to village to entertain people." The guard said with a shocked look on his face. Kyson made up a bunch of stories to the guards and inmates. Told one inmate he was a world class chef who got arrested for stealing recipes and other stuff he made up.
"The fact that you believed that just shows that your not good at your job." Kyson said as he crosses his arms and sits back in the chair. He was actually pretty cool with this guard. Some of the guards are fine with him since he is one of the few inmates who aren't annoying and cause problems all of the time. Kira asked Kyson how long will he be in this place. Kyson really wasn't sure how long he was going to be in here. And in all honestly, he wasn't going to wait too long to find out. "Hmm, I don't know. One of the higher ups were saying I'll be here for the rest of my life. Maybe I'll get out early for good behavior. But then again.. crashing a top secret village meeting and knocking out a few shinobi when I first arrived here probably wasn't the most.. logical thing I've done." Kyson said as he shrugged his shoulders. Then suddenly Kyson started yelling in pain as he was holding his stomach. He was yelling in agony as he rested his head on the table. The guard started to get worried. "Are you okay? Should I get a doctor?" The guard said.
"N-no... I'm f-fine... Just let me rest for about a minute. It was probably this damn prison food." Kyson said as he rested his head on the table as he was holding his stomach. Kyson's plan was now getting ready to go into action. As he activated the telepathy seal that Kira placed on him back in Hoshi. He was ready to get things rolling.
Kira... You can hear me right? Kyson asked through the telepathy seal. From the guards view, Kyson is just resting his head on the table as he holds his stomach. If Kira got his telepathic message, he was ready to give out his plan. There's a seal placed on my back. It prevents me from using the smallest portions of my Chakra. Its given to every inmate to make sure they can't easily bust out this place to escape. Judging from the amount of my chakra being sealed. I say its about an A Rank fuinjutsu. I'm not able to break it since I don't have access to gather enough chakra to perform any jutsu. You know fuinjutsu right?. If you can, I need you to unseal it without the guard knowing. Before you leave this room, give me a hug and place your hand on the middle of my back and unseal it. If he catches you, push come to shove things might get a little messy. But I rather not get you caught up in my mess. And if all goes well.. I should be out.... by tomorrow. It would've been tonight but some of the other inamtes and me are having a little gambling tournament... Kyson would say telepathically as he relayed the message to Kira. Kyson waited for her response to the message as his head was still down as if he was still having his "Stomach ache."
Kira was on board with it, so it was settled. The guard opened up Kyson's cell as he was being escorted to another room. It was a breathe of fresh air to be outside of the cell. Re: Untrustworthy (Part 4)

It almost came as a shock that Kyson has never heard of one of the major villages of the ninja world, especially now that he was getting himself deeper into the political world. Kira knew well of Kiri, as she grew up right besides them in the Island country. While Kumo was pretty bad from what the Uzumaki could gather thus far, Kiri wasn’t too far behind.
“Tsk, yeah… We should see about getting those people put down…” Kira suggested, knowing Kyson had some pull in decisions these days. Her mind was pretty preoccupied when traveling through those fields, but someone would have to be blind to not notice what was around them. The heterochromatic eyed girl couldn’t help but think about Sal, and what if Kiri had done the same to him. “Kirigakure is dangerous though, that I know.” She said sternly, her hands still clenched together. At this point, she had finally been looking Kyson in the eyes.
The guard butted in, confused in the Hozuki’s story. Kira couldn’t help but break out a smile as she remembered the wild stories she told people back before she made her way to Suna. She had once told a group of men that she was a world class exotic dancer coming from a strange land passed the oceans before she whooped their asses for calling her eyes funny.
“Can’t you get Maku to give you a jail out of free card?” Kira inquired, wondering where there lord and savior must be that the head of the Anbu was rotting in a prison cell. The red-headed girl jumped slightly as the boy began to yell in pain, a worried expression on her face. She had just lost someone close to her, and the first thing she thought was that she didn’t want to lose another. Her worries quickly subsided as Ky blamed it on the prison’s food. “If you start blowing chunks or I smell something foul, I’m out of here.” Kira said, partially joking but also dead serious. She was emotionally and physically drained, in need of a drink and a shower, and the last thing needed was the sight and smell of bodily fluids.
Suddenly, she heard Ky speak but it wasn’t out loud. She quickly recognized that it was through the telepathy seal she had placed on him before she left Hoshi. Damn these things were useful. Kira rolled her eyes when Kyson asked her if she knew Fuuinjutsu. Of course she did, or how else would she have placed the seal they were talking through right now? Hell, she didn’t want to brag or anything but her clan did invent the damn sealing arts after all!
'Remind me to beat your ass in poker some night.’ She replied through the seal, letting him know she got the message. Even through her worst moments, she still seemed to find it in her to be witty.
“Kyson, he’s gone.” she said outlaid suddenly, even though he was going through his whole stomach ache scam. She didn’t want to bring it up directly. She didn’t want to talk about it, but she felt it was the most sincere way to lead to a hug and get close enough to remove the seal off the Hozuki. Visitors weren’t suppose to come into physical contact with the prisoners, but surely the current guard that watched over their meeting would empathize and let the Uzumaki get a hug from her friend.
“Salzem… I… They …” She couldn’t say it out loud. Up until now, she hadn’t mustered up the strength to speak those words physically, and she still could’t. She could feel the tears begin to for behind her eyes and the very real pain she was trying to hide away began to make it’s presence known. “He’s dead.” She finally said in a hushed tone. The tears begin to flow, racing down the sides of her face as she no longer had control over her emotions. She tried to recoup herself, but failed to, leaving the room open for Kyson to comfort the girl. She just hoped she could play this off later as an act as she hated to appear emotionally weak.

Hearing her bring up the people on sticks in front of Kumo. Kyson was all on board for just clearing out the field instead of letting those people stay there to suffer. But he knew that would be difficult for him to get approved. Since some people here actually like the idea of having them there. "I agree.. but... I just don't think I have the authority to do so even though." Kyson said. He's pretty sure Maku wants to keep it there. Though Kyson never knew its main purpose for it. She mentioned Kiri once again, it doesn't doubt their strength. They did takeover a village that was allied with Suna. Which makes Kyson think, Suna and Konoha were great allies and those two were the first to go. There had to be a reason for it. Things like that don't just happen out of nowhere. There must be some connection between these takeovers.
When she brought up Maku, Kyson frowned a bit as she brought up using him to get out. "If he was HERE, I wouldn't be in this damn situation. Maku's probably still in Hoshi getting drunk and taking that damn orange fox out for walks and shit." Kyson said as he was getting really annoyed with this situation. He knows Maku could just teleport back to Kumo in seconds. So he probably came back to Kumo and left somewhere else. Or maybe he's just hiding, Kyson has no idea what that man be up to.
Next, Kyson would go through his whole stomach ache act. She was down to help just like he expected. But he was expecting her to hug him after they had finish their conversation. And have it happened on their way out. But then he heard her say "Kyson, he's gone." And she began to get up from her seat and walk over towards him. Assuming this was all an act to get the seal off. As she was getting ready to give Kyson a hug, Kyson would get the plan in motion as he went for the hug. Keeping a straight face as they were hugging. He felt the seal released as his chakra was now back. But he suppressed it immediately, so it couldn’t be sensed. He still thinks this was an act. Until, he heard her say Sal's name quietly. Kyson froze, he couldn't tell if this was part of the act because if it was.... she was doing a pretty good job. But he could hear the pain in her voice as she said.
Kyson wasn't that naive, it all made sense now. The vibe she gave off when they met at the sale. The emptiness he saw in her, well it was actually still there. He could tell she was dying inside, to have the one person you love killed. Kyson let off a huge sigh as he kept his composure. It kind of opened his eyes about the whole situation she was explaining with konoha. Which made him question himself about all of the people he saw in the jounin exams in Suna. Are they all dead as well? Seeing the tears fall from her face was never a good feeling. As he hugged her, he just stared in the direction her back was facing. The tears and emotions were already out. he simply said, "Just let it out." It was the only thing she could do at this point. Keeping it in will just make it worse. He didn't know Sal too well. But the two knew got to know each other as their first collided in combat. Seeing each other as equals since they tied in the exams at the time. It’s hard to think his life was taken.

“Hmm, maybe we can convince them otherwise.” The girl recommended, hoping there efforts on the matter wouldn’t prove to be wasted. Surely there could be other ways Kumo can go for the big, bad, and scary look that didn’t involve the bodies of hundreds to just rot away on spikes. The Uzumaki could only hope those that did belonged to criminals and overall bad people.
The red haired girl observed his frown, mimicking it momentarily as she thought of the blonde boy that ruled them. So Maku wasn’t even back yet, and his Storm captain was rotting in a cell because of it. “Sounds about right.” Kira sighed, as she could only imagine what Kyson said to be true. The blonde man was probably in some bar singing away on some piano like he had the last time they met.
Upon Kira making her way to Kyson, she slowly threw her hands around his neck to embrace him in a hug. The moment she did, her chakra spread to her fingertips as it located the seal that was place on Ky’s upper back. She located it between his shoulder blades, quickly unsealing the technique. Even though the task was done, she couldn’t help but keep the boy in an embrace. She held onto the Hozuki for a brief moment longer, letting his body bring her a sense of safety that she hadn’t felt in a long time. She sobbed silently, ashamed that she even allowed herself to break down emotionally. But she knew Kyson long enough to where she could allow herself to get to that point, she needed to. All her emotions were so backed up, she’s never allowed herself to let it out, and the death of her lover is what finally broke the camel’s back.
“Umm, that’s enough now.” She heard the guard say who was clearly empathetic but trying to do his job. Kira let go, wiping away the tears that had escaped and sitting back down on the opposite side of the table. Her eyes drifted to the wall, s she searched for words to say. “We really shouldn’t mess around with this threat. If they catch us off guard with you in here and Maku off in Hoshi… We could end up like the rest of them.” She said somberly. “I’ll try to spread the word, see if we can get a recon team out and see if we can get your out of here.” She said allowed, even though she knew damn well it was only a matter of time before Ky escaped now.

As Kyson was comforting Kira for her loss, the guard had quite enough. So they each began to head back to the table. Still thinking about what she said had happened. It still didn't feel real, but this was the first time having someone he know pass away. But it was just crazy that he had seen him not too long ago. Which made it worse, Kyson and Royalty were sent to Konoha to help Sal on his case. Its just hard to imagine both him and Koroshi are gone now. But that was the world they lived in and the world they signed up for. As Kyson just stares down towards the middle of the table with both arms crossed on the table, he didn't know what to say at the moment until Kira mentioned Kiri again. Everything she was saying was true, which made Kyson think about his escape even more.
He can't stay in a place like this for any longer. There was already much to be done and now with this news, there is even more. But Kyson just sighed as he heard her speak. Seeing how this whole situation is panning out. "Yeah I know, I'll be getting o-," Kyson said as he cut himself off. Closes his eyes for a split second as he almost told the guard he was escaping. "We'll deal with it." he said. She mentioned a recon team to go investigate what was going on in the outside world. Which Kyson thought was a good idea to have eyes on the outside. He would look into once he gets out of this place and get things rolling really quick. But his next step was breaking out with place.
"Sounds like a plan and you don't have to worry about that. I kind of like it in here." The boy said with a smirk. It was obvious he didn't really mean it since he was planning on breaking out tomorrow. Their meeting was getting ready to come to an end as he saw the guard point at his watch to signal the time. Kyson forgot Kira was new to Kumo and since this was now her new home. She would need a place to stay. Staying at his place probably wouldn't be the best idea to stay since it would look like she was my accomplice for when he breaks out. With what she is going through now, it be better to not have any more drama make things worse. "I guess, we'll wrap things up. You should rest for a few days, get your mind together before you start getting stuff done. I highly recommend it." Kyson said as he got up. The guard walked over towards him and stood right behind him as he put him in handcuffs.
If you want, you can stay at my parents home for the meantime. Its a nice and clean place, I keep the key under the mat. So your free to use it. I'll probably meet you there once I get out. And I can help you find your own place while you stay there. My home is probably under heavy surveillance, so that's why it probably be best for you not to stay there. He said through the telepathic seal. The guard was now getting ready to lead Kyson out towards the door.
"See ya around Kira." Kyson said with a smile. With these people not knowing what was going to happen next. Everything going according to plan so far. Today was his last night here and he was ready to go back to his sell and prepare for his gambling tournament. It was the only thing stopping him from breaking out tonight. But there was money to be made as he made a fool out of these inmates while they were playing. The guard led Kyson out of the room and began to walk him back to his cell. Bonzo still owes me 20 ryo from that bet we had, might have to break a few bones if he don't pay me back. And I still have the 10 ryo I stole from Kent. Doubt he knows though.. so I should be straight for the gambling tourney. Kyson said to himself. Completely unaware that he was speaking through the telepathic seal.
