Beat the Beast

Our Monster:

While they were following the prints that where easily seen on the ground Sanae would listen into the forest and make out one thing other animals where quite. There was no birdcall or something as that. No crackle far off that would indicate a smaller creature fleeing from them because they passed his path. No nests in the trees and as it seemed any burros beneath the roots. Strange for a usually lively forests but well that would make sure they were on the right territory. Soon after her putting that together Red would point them towards a cave as he would take out his staff and said something about being ready to fight and that was when what ever lived there dashed out of the cave and send him flying.

Sanae and Kotetsu where the lucky ones standing further back and getting a clear view on what enormous monster had exited the cave. A doggish creature with the head framed with hair that looked like a lion's mane and red eyes stared at them the white teeth bared at them with a deep growl roaring inside his throat. Left side and front leg bare of fur and skin showed tightly woven muscles and flesh that had yet to grow over again but it did not seem to bother the monster too much, maybe it had never had skin there. In his hind leg there was something like a harpoon with a chain stuck to it inside his hind leg, almost looked as if it belonged there. Did dogs have a sense of cruel fashion maybe? The long tail would lash out in was it happiness or eager anticipation? Well who knew? The whole monster would be about 7 feet tall and 14 feet long and look down on the small shinobi in front of him.

"Kotetsu stay out of its range behind me", Sanae would feel how her bone armour would cover her and she would get her fists up ready to defend any hit dealt at her from this gigantic beast. Staring at it straight ahead she would hope to provoke it by doing so. Since nothing should be left as option she would scream at the monster, to get its attention focused on her because she would not really need it to go after either red or Kotetsu, because she knew the Ninjutsu user could be put to use so much more effective if in a distance. So now that she was glowing like a firefly and screaming at it the lovely animal had lashed out at her and the claws hit her pierced the fabric where they hit her but did not go further her skin staying unharmed for now.

The tracks led to the southern end of the reservation, it took them a little time to get there, and there was no trace of any other kind of wildlife.  Likely because of the beast that they're tracking right now. The beast that out of nowhere rammed into Red, throwing him like a children's toy. Kotetsu and Sanae were slightly behind him, so they were not hit by the creature.  A doggish creature with the head framed with hair that looked like a lion's mane and red eyes stared at them the white teeth bared at them with a deep growl roaring inside his throat. The whole monster would be about 7 feet tall and 14 feet long, and every single foot of it trouble. Almost immediately, Sanae started glowing and told Kotetsu to stay back. Right after that, the beast lunged at Sanae. It slashed at her and the claws ripped into her clothing, but not into her. With that, Kotetsu silently moved to one side while breathing in and clapping his hands together in order to get his wind rejuvenation jutsu working. He had moved to Sanae's left and moved back about ten meters. From there he would try to pummel the beast with his Air Bullets technique

The wind had been knocked out of him and yet the red headed male stood tall with his weapon of choice in his hand, the staff slowly growing in stature and length before he smiled," Time to have a little fun my little beefed up friend. Sorry to say but this is going to be fun," the staff growing to be six meters in length and its thickness becoming six meters in diameter causing it to look like a rather long log. It easily looked as if it had been heavy and the male carried it on his shoulder walking toward the beast while the other two had engaged it, the ground underneath the make cracking under him with each step," Erupt," the clothing underneath his cloak began to move and come to life as it grew before contracting giving the males muscles a more buffed look. Strengthened by his armor he would take flight running toward the beast, but the tail slammed toward the male probably due to the beast hearing him coming toward him. As it did Mo-ri would slam the staff into the ground blocking the tail in its path and the male disappeared.

From the impact it would sound as if the male had been slapped away once more only leaving the staff in his wake, but the truth was evident. He jumped over the staff that he had used to block, his hand flattened as if it had been a sword and with one clean movement cut the tail from the beasts back. A hand as sharp as any blade, the male smiled and rolled forward using the same motion on the beasts back leg," If you're going to shoot it, shoot it harder," the male retorted almost energetically as he used the forward momentum to lift himself upward in order to shove his hand into the side of the beast. The hide would have been almost impossible to penetrate with a normal hand, but with one that moved like a spear it was an easy task. From that point onward he would continue to move forward while the others attacked. While he did the beast out of pain and anger began to buck and run causing Mo-ri to become stuck and along for the ride," Will someone get this thing to stop!!! MY HAND IS STUCK IN SOMETHING WET AND BLOODY!," Though he was mostly joking it was funny to see him flail about.

Be a good Shinobi and have everything in view. She would look around. From the side Red was approaching with something that looked like a log. Well that would do something good won't it? Then from somewhere behind her there would some attacks be launched. Good this situation was still under control. She would grab behind her head into her neck area and pull out her spine using it as the whip needed for the dance she was going to put on the beast. Lashing out at it she would here and there strike hits at it. A little concentration and the blinks of some eyes later she could hear Red calling that someone should stop it so a little more focus and snap the whip would roll around the monsters neck.
While she had achieved this goal a lance out of bone had formed on her other the free hand and so the second dance would initialize. With a dash supported by the whip she had placed around the monsters neck she would just dash forward ramming the spear into the monsters chest dealing a truly devastating amount of damage holding down the beast with the leash she had around its neck and the spear she had inside its body. It would growl and lash out at her, but she could sustain his panic attacks. "Kill it!", she would call out.

The Staff that Red was carrying became absolutely massive. A 6 meter-wide monstrosity that he slammed into the ground as the beast struck again. The staff stopped the beast’s paw, which returned to trying to gnaw through Sanae. It then howled as Red neatly sliced off its tail. It also seemed like Sanae had it immobilised to a degree. It was time to put the beast down. He knew exactly how to take care of it.

Kotetsu made a quick series of hand signs to freeze the water in the air into a kunai. He then clapped his hands and punched his fist towards the beast's head, creating a small gale of wind. Then using a single wave of his hand, he used his chakra to throw the kunai through the gale of wind straight through the head of the beast. 'Hopefully that takes care of it...' He thought to himself.

The male continued to move with the monster striking his hand deeper into the beasts insides as it continued to roar and thanks to his handy hand still being inside of the beast he got to feel something foreign moving through the beast but that didn't stop him from going along with the ride. The male continued for some time before feeling the beast weaken and soon it would have fell...almost on him. As the beast teetered on the verge of death he quickly pulled his hand from the beast and rolled out of the way just in time, looking at the blood soaked hand and sighed a sigh of relief," Would have been a Red pancake if that thing had fallen atop of me, but now at least the menace is no more and now.. what exactly do we do with this puppy here?," he actually went to walk around the beast eyeing it carefully for a moment trying to decide just where he could cut it so that it was easier to carry...although he could easily carry it back himself.


If no one had interjected he would walk back over to the staff which had still been a massive log before picking it up and setting it on his shoulders as if it had been normal to him...which it kinda was and crouched down for a bit," So who wants to cut the beastie up and take it back to the village? Some of the parts here are unusable, but some of it....could be good meat. Maybe. A little cut here and there with some proper seasoning and drying would make this some good monster meat," was he kidding or not was the question, but he seemed dead set on doing it either way. The look in his eyes said that much, but what would come of it would be up to his two partners here.

´Sanae would hold it down as long as it took and then slowly pull back from it letting her arms sink down and sigh a little. Slowly looking at it closely she would then look around at the others to smile at them as she saw that they were okay. She took a closer look at Kotetsu than she would at Red but still then she would look at their giant doggy. "Well we could try taking it as a whole and make it a present to the huge library of Hoshi so that they can prep it as prop to look at and teach children about it or something like that. I have spent hours in there and have not seen something that impressive", she said and then looked at the tail. "We would need to take that along as well, if you guys don't mind." She would slowly let go of her weapons and gently pet the head of the giant monster: "I am curious why this has been out here and where it came from in the first place it seems a little lost out here. Sad that it was so aggressive", she would gently pet its snout and then go to pick it up.

Kotetsu's icy projectile had done exactly what he had hoped it would do. The beast was defeated, it was a longer fight than the young Chuunin had expected.  On a more positive note though, everyone had escaped unharmed at least as far as he could tell. 'That's a big sucker...' Kotetsu thought to himself upon walking over to the beast and looking it over. 'Where the hell did it come from...' Now that it was dead, the next stage of the game was to decide what to do with the remains of it. It did not seem like the type of thing that one could just leave in the middle of the forest. It did not look like it was native to this area. They would likely need to take the carcass with them, but what to do with it after they had returned to Hoshi was not something that Kotetsu would be able to figure out.


It seemed like Red had the same thought on his mind, as he asked the other two for thoughts on what to do with the dead animal. Red had walked away from the beast; his hand looked like it had been painted red from the beast's blood. He had walked over and picked up the massive log of a staff, which had summarily shrunk back down to its original size once placed on the shinobi's back. 'That is a truly massive weapon to be swinging around...' Kotetsu thought to himself as Red made his way back to the others. It seemed he wanted to chop the creature up so that it would be easier to bring back to the village. 'Definitely makes sense...' He thought to himself. 'One person carrying it, or trying to all carry it together could be a little awkward...' Red had somewhat lost Kotetsu at the mention of cooking it up. It was not something he was inclined to try feasting on. 'To each their own I guess...' He thought.


Sanae then piped up, suggesting to simply bring it back as is, and donate it for study. That was more or less what Kotetsu was thinking. They didn't know where it had come from. What it contained could be valuable research material for those looking to study medicine or animal anatomy. 'Something else that could be added to the wealth of information...' Kotetsu thought. "I'm fine either way. It's going back to the village regardless" Kotetsu said to the pair as he walked over to grab the tail and sling it over one shoulder. "I guess we should start heading back then?" Kotetsu wasn't in a hurry to get back, but considering Haven Country was normally very warm, it likely would not take long for the beast's corpse to start decomposing.

The male stood up and looked to the two of them before smiling and moving the beasts head where he ruffled a few of the beasts hairs before reciting a silent prayer for the beast, a admirable opponent and one worthy of his words. He only spoke once he had heard Sanae's suggestion and nodded," Maybe it would help you all prevent things like this from happening to another creature of the world...or maybe you might try to reproduce the results," his eyes looking over to the two to gauge their reaction. People were prone to commit to science when there was something they did not understand, and this was a prime example. Though he wondered what the two would have said in response to this. Either way he moved to grab his cloak and threw on the bloody mess before continuing," This creature was most like the result of a science experiment gone wrong, or maybe a natural phenomenon among the world that was just on the bad end of someones twisted reality. Either way its done so," he moved back to the front of the beast and nodded.


The male would have picked up the beast, his form disappearing under the beast for a moment before it started to move," Now this thing really stinks under here and i'm going to need a really big shower after this. So point me in the direction of the village and let's go shall we?," the male opting to carry it all by his lonesome since weight like this was more than normal for him. For a moment or two he kept moving, stopping to fix his belt and kept moving while sometimes murmuring something to himself about the beasts unnatural odor.

"Sience", she would say in a rather unforgiving fashion, "They always think everything and everyone needs to be improved and sure their way is the way to do it. Nature naturally makes things like they are supposed to be and only human perverts them to something they would have never become", she would nudge the beast she was holding up a little, "I bet our new friend here was under a lot of pain and has not grown up with a mother or littermates like he was supposed to. A freak of nature so to say. Maybe even never really seen the sunlight and so confused by everything that he became dangerous. It was the more merciful way to end his life here and now, even if we could have caught him alive, in our village he might have faced more horrendous procedures", she sighed and yes that was what she thought would happen to this beast if they had caught it and brought it back, no doubts about it. Since she knew there was a certain Shinobi she truly adored but still feared because he was rumoured to even do this to other humans. So why would they stop in sight of this animal that hand outgrown his species a lot, maybe even crossed two and was now strong enough to at least try and combat with three Shinobi.

While Sanae thought about this Red had picked up a part of the beast as well and said to them they should only point him into the right direction. Even if he would carry it alone, Sanae had already picked up one end, maybe the more front one where she had been standing and therefore he was not carrying it all by himself. Since it was that long this was probably better because sure he was able to lift it, but even with stretched arms he would not be able to hold this more than 4 meters long beast fully of the ground. Why would he try anyway? Did he need to prove to someone he could do it? Weren't they a team to work together? Or did he just not expect someone to even be able to get with him on that? Whatever of it was the reason for his suggestion she just hoped it was not his pride in strength or something because she could not care less about it. Still she would not say anything and just start walking at the front.

Step by step the Reservoir was kind of a bit from the village so they would now that they were carrying this need a while, but she did not mind the walking but the stench was something else. Surly a bath was required after this with a lot of lotion and bathing oils. "Kotetsu we gotta do something together again, now that we are both about grown up we should look around hoshi's entertainment options don't you think so?", she would initiate small talk to pass the time. "I kind of have a bit on my shoulders I would love to rant to you about", a chuckle would escape her thinking about what it was.
