As the real Kenshin fixed his partially destroyed clothes the chakra signature of Namikaze would vanish, causing his mismatched eyes to narrow in suspicion. But that suspicion faded as a rush of new information filled his head, his shadow clone having dispelled itself now that it's task had been accomplished. The shade had been watching the downed magical girl rather intently from the moment that she had touched the ground, and when it felt her building up chakra it assumed that she was going to launch a final, desperate attack. But no… instead her body seemed to have turned into a swarm of butterflies… butterflies made of light. The clone had watched carefully as the butterflies vanished, still wary of some final attack from the girl… but in the end no attacks had come, and it finally allowed its guard to drop. The clone had then released a small chuckle and allowed itself to dispel, informing the real Kenshin of what had just occurred.

The true Kenshin came to the same conclusion as his clone, that little butterfly trick of hers had to be some form of teleportation. It was no Genjutsu, as he the clone had activated the Minds Eye of the Kagura shortly before dispelling just to be sure, and that was the only other way he could explain her suddenly vanishing like that. Either way, her retreating like that meant that he had just won the tournament… although the moment that his hand had come into contact with her ankle her fate had been sealed. With a small smirk on his scarred face Kenshin would cut off his access to the accursed seal that Namikaze had placed upon his tongue, causing the transformation to fade away.

“Namikaze teleported away!” the scar faced youth would exclaim loudly, informing both the kage and the crowd that his opponent had decided to retreat.

The silver haired teen was barely able to hold back the dark and insane laughter that wanted so desperately to escape, but he did, it simply would not do to lose his cool in front of the kage, or the rest of the shinobi corps for that matter. He truly hadn’t been expecting such an exhilarating fight from Namikaze of all people… she was good, much better than he had been anticipating. It was rather obvious now that she had grown by leaps and bounds in the time that he spent stagnating after his last meeting with Akihana. In that short period of time she had gone from a pathetic little girl to a true force to be reckoned with… yes, he would have to keep an eye on her development from here on out. It simply wouldn’t do for her to surpass him anytime soon.

He still didn’t like the woman, as it was rather obvious that whilst she had grown stronger her naive mindset had not changed… but that did not mean he couldn’t respect her strength. Shinzo on the other hand… she had been a let down, running into whatever wall Namikaze had summoned and knocking herself out… pathetic really. How someone like that became a Jounin was simply beyond him… but then again, Snow was the Hogokage… yeah, better not question how certain people obtained certain positions.

The newly appointed Deputy Kage would choose that moment to appear in a flash of light. Appearing from his own teleportation to stand before Kenshin. A small smirk would adorn the dark haired Akari’s features as he looked upon the visage of his friend. “I’ll take that honor, Kyousuke won’t mind if his Deputy handles this. Considering our history Kenshin Uzumaki. Congratulations are in order. You’ve won!” He’d call out for the crowd to hear as the watching civilians cheered for the Jonin who had won the tournament. The majority of the crowd cheered at the display shown by both Jonin while a few members, certainly a minority. Would watch Kenshin fearfully. Something that can handle damage on such a scale and still keep coming back was something to be afraid of, shinobi or not. Valen would smirk at their fear, after all so long as the village stayed useful to the shinobi before them he would continue to protect the villagers and shinobi within it, not attack them. The Crimson cloaked shinobi was confident they would stay useful to the gray haired Ragdoll before him. After all he was about to have access to a lot more information and facilities to increase his power.

After a few minutes of allowing the crowd to cheer, or be afraid, in peace the teenage deputy would hold a hand out to silence them. “Kenshin Uzumaki has won the Tournament, and he will be rewarded appropriately.” He would call out allowing the crowd to leave at their leisure now as they started to stand and leave. Valen himself would turn toward Kenshin once more and speak normally, making sure no one nearby could hear them. “Kyousuke will be promoting you himself, I can take you to his office if you want. He has an offer that might appeal to you more than the very.. Public rank of Queensguard.” He would say as he held a hand out for the shinobi to take should he desire it. If he took the free ride Valen would teleport the two of them toward the Kage building, arriving them both in a flash of light a few meters before the door. “I won’t be going in with you. But I can tell you what to expect, we’re creating a new combat unit in the village. Once focused on combat and tactics. Membership is secretive and anything you’re in public doing your duties you’ll be required to wear a mask and hide your more..prominent features, such as your long hair for example. No one except Kyousuke or I are to know of your being in said unit unless absolutely necessary for the situation or WE decide to reveal the information. Kyousuke will tell you more.” He would say simply before teleporting away in another flash of light to go do other things that required his assistance.

The silver haired Jounin would simply blink as Valen appeared before him in a flash of light. He had no idea why the other Akari had just appeared, but he assumed that the dark prince had a good reason for suddenly appearing. The smirk that adorned the face of his ‘friend’ was a little unsettling, as it was the type of smirk one gave when they knew something that you did not, but he knew that sooner or later Valen would explain just why he was here.

“I’ll take that honor, Kyousuke won’t mind if his Deputy handles this, considering our history Kenshin Uzumaki. Congratulations are in order. You’ve won!” the weapon user would exclaim, drawing cheers from the sheep that had been watching the fight. Kenshin’s mind however was stuck on Valen declaring himself a Kyousuke’s deputy. Valen Akari, his friend and the man that Kenshin had chosen to support, had managed to become the second in command of the village, answering only to Kyousuke himself. That… was great news, and it ended up speeding up some of the Uzumaki Half-bloods plans exponentially.

“Kenshin Uzumaki has won the Tournament, and he will be rewarded appropriately.” Valen would then call out, causing the crowds to start dispersing. “Kyousuke will be promoting you himself, I can take you to his office if you want. He has an offer that might appeal to you more than the very.. Public rank of Queensguard.” the young Akari would say, earning a small hum of interest from Kenshin. When he extended his hand out Kenshin took it without question, knowing that there was more to it than a simple handshake. He was proven to be correct when their surroundings changed from the Arena on the villages outskirts to the doorway just outside the Unseen University.

Valenn was of course correct in his earlier assumption, this organisation sounded much more appealing to him than the gaudy QUeensguard, who he saw as nothing more than remnants of a bygone age. With that thought in mind, Kenshin would simply smirk and walk towards the door.
