"Welcome everyone to the finals of the Hoshi village tournament for genin. It has been a long road for our two finalist who each defeated their two opponents. I would like to welcome to the arena Xuba and Mori-jin!" As he yelled the names fire works would shoot into the sky to sound off their introductions.

"The winner of this round will receive the rank of chuunin along with prize money. I wish you both well in this bought." With that he would sit down and wait for them to begin.

Genin Finals: Xuba vs. Mori-jin Empty Re: Genin Finals: Xuba vs. Mori-jin

Mon Feb 05, 2018 2:07 pm
The next stage.

The male sat at the bottom of the stairs fixing his gauntlets to his hand and forearm before looking them over and nodding," Just one last round...and we can finally see what about this village they enjoy so much." When the announcer spoke his name, the male flung his cloak onto his back and strapped his staff on top before walking up and smiling. Nothing was going to stop him from winning this and now he was going to put a little more effort into this fight. Once he reached the top and the light of the sun had shined onto his face, the male smiled a devilish grin as a few cheers went on and his hands returned to the inside of the cloak. His opponent had been someone he had known close to nothing about at least in some capacity where fighting was concerned and so because of that he assumed the same thing. With that he would take his battle stance slowly and wait, his eyes watching the area of the male before looking around at his surroundings...maybe this would be quite the show.

His hands moved into a battle position and once the male had readied himself? The battle would begin.

Genin Finals: Xuba vs. Mori-jin Empty Re: Genin Finals: Xuba vs. Mori-jin

Mon Feb 05, 2018 2:56 pm
so the grey eyes of the chain wielder scanned the stands quietly. For this day was the day of the finals. His steps could barely be heard as the metal boots he wore clinked on the ground climbing the stairs. It was not much exciting as an hoid for more restrictions, or looser terms of restrictions, his  assortment of shruikkens, smoke bombs and kunai save 1 resting on the insider of his cloak sleeves. today there was a new edition to his getup as well. A large fuma shruiken resting on his back as it was not expanded yet. The one shruiken xuba had not retracted in his sleeves of his cloak was instead lined on the pocket of his flak jacket. with a spare smoke bomb also inside it. nice and snug so that while if he needed to take off the cloak. He was still armed.

his katana rested sheathed on his right hip. and several rolls of wire on his left hip. His trusty chain weapon resting secured over his shoulders as the c linking of the chain link weapon could be heard amending the stairs. A set of forbidding black gauntlets on his arms while safe under the pair were the arm beads on either arm.

At the top he nodded towards the crowd and gave a slight wave towards the kage. it was then xuba began his walk towards the boy mori was it? it was an odd name but respectable. it only meant if he made it this far with that xuba addressed the firey haired man with his silvery hair and grey eyes trained on him.

"looks good to see... ah is that a bo?"

xuba stated curiousity danced in his eyes seeing the traditional weapon slung on the red haired opponent. it was truely a curious thing it seemed as if the village hosted more impressive people then he thought.

"before we fight i am curious of two things. where did you find such a marvelous extension as that bo. and tell me a bit about yourself. ill keep this in mind as we determine which shall rise, and which will need improvements."

Genin Finals: Xuba vs. Mori-jin Empty Re: Genin Finals: Xuba vs. Mori-jin

Tue Feb 06, 2018 1:56 am
The male waited for a few moments more before tapping the metallic boot that he had been wearing onto the ground, the soft clinking of some foreign metal entering the area which caused his eyes to efficiently leave the ground and look at his opponent. With that in mind he shrugged internally noting all forms of the males weaponry, committing them to memory as he fully stepped into the area. For some reason he had stopped just as he walked in, leaving him more than half the distance of the arena away from Mo-ri which had been fine with him. The male had already been in a battle stance and ready for something to happen, but instead the male...started to talk? The very notion caused a small deal of confusion within the males mind which was no more than the usual, but since he would start talking, Mo-ri would of course start the battle himself.

A few things happened in a very short window of time, one of which was the essential opener of the male. His movements were slow but fluid since he had started from a standing position, but he would move from his current position in the middle of the arena (40 meters from Xuba then) and move to the right (Speed of 63). Since his fists were already up he began a simple punch at his maximum speed (125), causing a soft clink to occur from within the gauntlets he had been wearing. The sound wouldn't travel and instead be heard only by the male, but his speed was something else. During the transition of his arm moving backwards to punch, his hand made an unique seal before the armor he had been wearing underneath transformed. On his back were a pair of 3 meter wings, and the armor itself became slimmer, more sleek as if made for power. The cloak however would not rip, but instead sit effortlessly over the wings as the male continued to move.

The punch had been made (Speed of 125) toward the male causing a casing of about a single meter in size and diameter to fly through the air toward the male while he had still been talking at the speed of (110) toward two points. One being three meters in front of the male and the other? Aimed directly for the males stomach. The casing while metallic would only have the blunt force of 50 so it wouldn't be much, but his intent wasn't for the male per se. The second casing upon making contact with the arena ground it would cause it to shift and crack, making the area around it for 5 meters unstable but not fall in. Since the male had been busy talking, he would of course probably notice the male taking action, but that was taken into account of course. The male while still strafing to the right would continue on this path, keeping himself out of range for now to see what the male had done.

Genin Finals: Xuba vs. Mori-jin Empty Re: Genin Finals: Xuba vs. Mori-jin

Wed Feb 07, 2018 1:43 am
As xuba talked he observed mori's actions as it was his concentration was fully on mori and it was as if the stands and even the kage seemingly vanished in his mind and eyes. He was once more back out in the world. The only reminder of the area arounnd him was the no killing rule. Each action a flex of a muscle, intake of the breath of his opponent was under the watchful eye of xuba. For this he observed as mori would amid his guard throw a punch.

It was unusual to attemot to strike at such a distance so as mori's arm began to move at the speed which xuba could easily act. Xuba noting the  motion began his motion bacwards and to his left. Observing the induvidual as he now needed to figure a way to get in close without suffering too much problems. Hence he would watch and reflexively act.

As they fired xuba sped up his walk to a jog speed of speed 50. He maintained his distance  but moved away from mori in a diagnal to his left so to move away from the shot casings too. While making sure to avoid the edges of the arena as he would maintain a 35 meter gap betweem himself and his opponent. His time to strike did not arise yet. He still needed to guage this unusual mmid range fighter.  As he did this a xubas left hand would dissapear up his left  sleeve. Simply with the hidden arms technique he would  retreive two shruiken as he utilized the technique yet keep his hand hidden quietly placing the two shruiken together as he began calculating.  (Hidden arms: speed 100)

With a flick of his wrist xubas cloak would tear the left sleeve and reveal a smoke bomb peeking from within the sleeves. The tear caused from xuba throwing his paired shruiken  as the iorn casings would reach 10 meters traveling as he travled 5 meters back and to the left, counter clockwise of mori, and still retreating.  The tear would be from utilizing the shruiken shadow technique. As xuba threw the two shruiken. Which had a spin added to it. Going about 50 degrees so the top shruiken would clash with the metal casing that was aimed for his gut.

Esscentially the top shruiken was being used as a decoy and enabling the hidden shruiken to play as a sort of "surpirse" attack. As the curve enabled the shruiken to be aimed towards mori's left inner thigh. Which should he continue running the same direction it would possibly hit mori's left  hip. Which will prove problematic if he stopped leaving the pincher of choices one could take. Of course if he could see the shruiken. (Shadow shruiken: +10 throwing speed, -10 reaction time to mori. final throwing speed for both shruikens:182 (due to art of the trick shot, requires 192 reaction time to track, sharpness:95)

Now noting this was only part one of his simple assault. Xuba would continue backing away as he reached behind him (speed:125) grabbing the flat end of the fuma shruiken on his back. This Mainly to draw moris attention from the speedy shruiken being tossed. Grabbing hold of it as the second metal shell reached its point placing xuba 10 meters away  from the epicenter of the casing,  and  keeping the thing in the corner of his eye. He mentally shuddered as that wouldve struck like a knife if it hit skin.

With this xuba threw the giant shruiken curving the wonderful weapon with much needed spin as it would do a 40 degree curve from his left to right(mori's right to left. As a means to cut off the induviduals ability to run in the same direction and in this case  as if both were to do as intended it will leave a narrow slot for mori to go towards  xuba (about 4 inches). Or of course jumping up, or going back the other direction were viable options or would they be?.  But due to the curve from his throw the fuma shruiken would hopefully cause alarm for mori.(Demon shruiken throwing speed: 172, (182 reaction time to track. Sharpness:160.)

With that xuba in the meantime observing mori retreived a kunai from his ripped grey cloak as he silently observed the other contestant. If they made it this far. They could handle such a simple trick. For the kunai xuba held in reverse grip and was intended as a response to a countermeasure made by mori. If any of course.

Genin Finals: Xuba vs. Mori-jin Empty Re: Genin Finals: Xuba vs. Mori-jin

Wed Feb 07, 2018 2:54 am
The male had made his move and unfortunately for him Mo-ri had been paying attention every step of the way to any movement the male had made. Now since he had been moving for quite a bit, his speed would have picked up fully, his eyes focused on the entirety of his body even when he had made a move to grab something. At that point a soft click filled the males ears as he smiled and sighed mentally. The gauntlets, being out of ammo would revert to their base form only allowing the male to be able to utilize a single burst of chakra, but it would be enough to simply take care of this but for clarity sake he didn't. As the male made a move to grab the shuriken (mo-ri would be able to see the movement clearly) his hand moved backwards faster than the male grabbing his weaponry as he pulled out two Kunai himself and one more object (Speed of 125). Within his hand would be a single sword and within his initial grasp in the middle of his knuckles, the kunai.

With nimble dexterity the blade switched to his left hand and he smiled matching the males throwing of the shuriken at the same time as the kunai as they rolled into his hand and were thrown with swift flicks. Both went flying, but his eyes only paid attention to every detail. The first kunai moved to intercept the shuriken being thrown at him at the speed of 152 (sharpness 86) aimed in the direction his would have been traveling. Since Mo-ri's kunai would be flying faster (see notes at the bottom) their trajectory would cause the first shuriken to be knocked off course and subsequently the second as well. The male's eyes remained on the male since they were uninhibited causing him to see the male reaching for another weapon. As the male began to attempt to reach for it, the second Kunai would have already been in flight at the same time as the first kunai, except this ones trajectory was aimed toward the males leg, more specifically where the males leg was going to be. Aimed to go three meters where the male would have been been going his options were to stop or continue with his actions.

Providing the male had thrown the fuuma shuriken the male would have smiled and mentally shrugged. With his speed fully optimized he would then activate the following actions at full speed. His hands would come together creating a unique hand seal of a technique he had been dabbling with. The technique would indeed cause his body to prepare for a final bout in which the male would end the battle the same as the others. Not being a fan of overly drawn out battles and the male clearly being capable, the sword would go flying at the male at the speed of (232), the sword cleaving through the fuuma shuriken entirely (Sharpness of blade is 171) while his right hand at full speed would grab the bo staff from his back and slide firmly into his grasp. The sword of course would be directly in the path of the fuuma shuriken providing the male would actually still throw it, and since the blade would reach the fuuma shuriken first, the thrown object would be cleaved in two sending the sword directly toward Xuba. The male smiled and acclaimed before the staff grew ," Sorry mate, gotta go," the staff growing at 100 speed to a mighty length of ten meters with a 5 meter thickness.

Now the staff surely was mighty, but not the extent of his power. With one swift swing (245) into the arena itself that had been in front of him and facing his opponent as he slid to a stop, his staff hitting the ground (blunt force of the hit would be 300* ) the moment his foot stopped. For a moment the area would merely shake violently before all became silent and the male continued to move. In an instant the arena would begin to crumble in front of Mo-ri, the area in which the staff had collided with began to shake violently and fall downward rapidly, the area of affect stretching ever so quickly to Xuba threatening to swallow him whole unless of course he could fly. In an instant he would be engulfed in the avalanche of arena while Mo-ri began his retreat toward the waters edge. It would have been a swift battle, but he knew to end things as quickly as they began less he tasted the swift draft of defeat.

Notes: Your throwing speed was calculated wrong and should have been 157 (Your speed [125] + Your Strength [70]/2 which is 97 adding the 40 its 137. Including your skill and your shadow shuriken its 157 which only requires 167 rt to track (which mo-ri can because his rt is actually 185) and this would account for both of your throws. The sharpness for your shuriken were also calced wrong and should be...78 instead of 95.

Genin Finals: Xuba vs. Mori-jin Empty Re: Genin Finals: Xuba vs. Mori-jin

Sat Feb 10, 2018 1:19 am
So the battle had came to a swift conclusion. Whatever the male had been planning he had been too late. The arena began to consume him in his entirety preventing him from attacking him and the threat to pull him into its depths were real. Consequentially the rest of the area began to fall in as a result, causing the male to act quickly. With a swift throw he tossed the staff behind him and used his boots to boost upward and back, the staff growing a full fifteen meters in order to make what was simply a makeshift landing platform that he stood on and watched the events unfold. He honestly didn't want to end it this way, but he wasn't going to take any chances when he was so closed to winning the prize. Maybe next time he would take the fight head on instead of using his usual tactics, but when you didn't want to reveal your whole hand you had to improvise.

And that was it. As the smoke finally cleared, Mo-ri stood within the boundaries of the stage looking downward, his right hand cupped just above his brow looking downward into the pit to see where his opponent had landed, motioning to the staff of the event to help him up and out. Hopefully after the events of this he would speak to the people who had been apart of this competition to see what they thought of this and soon to speak with Kyou himself to finally give him the answer that they had spoken about so long ago. With the main event closing he sat and waited for the announcer to go off before making any sudden moves, resorting to sitting on the end of the staff with a small smile on his face," We'll get stronger my friends...together I guess."

[Claiming 48 hour hit and the win. (Sorry v.v) ] Will do claims later.

Genin Finals: Xuba vs. Mori-jin Empty Re: Genin Finals: Xuba vs. Mori-jin

Sat Feb 10, 2018 2:30 am
(Eh was working on reply. However, rough 2 days so its fine)

The arena simply collapsed beneath xubas feet which was proberly not as much of a shock to him still with the heavy fall he did not really need much to worry over as he fell a peice of the arena he would grip into it with his kunai and kick the frail bits of the wall comming down around him as he would land with care after the well now dust for most part had settled on the seemingly vast steel bowl that remained. At the bottom of the rocky bit. The sound of metal hitting metal  would resonate around the arena  and xuba  would be  leaning against the rock he used to rappel down to the baisin. A sword protruding from his his right breast as he smiled from the dust.

There was a crash of the rock that he used to rappel himself down towards the  ground would toppel down and break to peices,  and amid his smile he glanced at mori. Sitting on the staff

"Well that was an interesting experience."

He stated pulling out the sword from his right breast  with a grunt, and then the kunai protuding from his rib cage  and tossed them through the durbies towards mori. Having them land quivering a few feet from mori's current position. Yeah that hurt like hell but he faced much more dire things. Plus the combat left him with few options besides utilizing rather unfortunate and vulgar methods that the village would frown upon.  As it was nothing short of freindly compitition.  So he treated it as such. As the rocks crumbled around him. It was nothing short of another scar he would add for a later date as he would simply let it heal with his own care.

Waving  off the extra help as he was fine as could be and a simple look that could stop a mountain for the foolish that wished to approach after waving off. After all hospital visit as he learned was simple to do. You simply walk to the hospital, and  if it was in need or nessary. Which till he saw it was nessary of course. Which as of the moment  was no. If at all. Besides the momentos of battle were better off a reminder to himself to restrain a bit more, or simply destroy his opponent.... but the latter was not allowed so he simply took off his cloak and administered his first aid to his chest and ribs quietly. The painful part was later on  so this was little to nothing.

Wrapping and using the cloak to soak the wounds and using the chain as a nice secured patching xuba could easily find another cloak to replace this one. As it was easy here to kneel down and not worry about some person stabbing you in the back. He would stand up and send a simple two finger wave to mori and  send a simple thumbs up to to the kage.

"Well then congrats. And enjoy the victory."

With that xuba would walk out the arena and head off as it was interesting watching and observing the shinobi here fighting. As it was not much else more then a simple observation to xuba of their combative capeabilities. As only one met the standard he did not have to concern himself that much over them.

(Exit, what are claims???)
