Re: Got it coach

Ok boys and girls it seems as if we have a bit of a mess here. I know I haven’t been around all that much lately, but I’ve read through the relevant topics. So, let’s try to clean this up.
First and most importantly, I am extremely disappointed in how all parties handled this, pretty much everyone involved really. I’m not going to throw out ban strikes considering the issue wasn’t on the thread directly which is the one thing all of you did correctly.
So to clarify, I obviously am a Kumo kid, I knew senshi and was close and everything like that. We all wanted to do the avenging mission, we’ve been planning it for months now, the only reason Conor and Alex left without the rest of the group is because everyone else was busy and we all gave permission. So I’m going to shut down, right now, any accusation that any part of that was a spur of the moment rush decision. Note this is speaking on the mission to avenge senshi, not collecting the book. Both parties, once inside tenga basically went in with the mindset to be like, “While there, he finds a copy of different copy of 'God of Shinobi' then he has. So he took it in interest” to quote valen. I’d call that a big stretch on both parties but not enough to call for meta.
Now let’s move onto Valen’s village exit, which I had a few issues with. I noticed you were let out of the village by a genin, while not particularly a bad thing on it’s own, I find it really funny that there was a case a few months ago where the very same thing happened and hoshi cried “genin cannot let people out of the village.” Then we move onto the travel, country hopping like you did is extremely frowned upon. When we had this conversation the last time you were staff you were one of the biggest advocates of it being a bad way to game the travel system, which why it disappoints me that one of my own staff members would resort to it. Now to be clear, neither of these things are enough to void your travel. What is though is this line, “[5/7/2018 4:28:40 AM] Valen Akari: I had time to write up a good post about CD with Gobi and the memory of Den, but then I noticed the twins going for it, and thought they were taking it from me. So I rushed it." Come on, this clearly shows that you saw the twins going for it and clearly acted completely ooc’ly based upon this fact. Considering they left on their mission before you even exited your threads, I don’t see how it could be the reverse.
Now onto Valen calling for a void on Alex’s post. I’m going to have to agree with alex here in the matter of that being a really extreme reaction to a simple mistake. We shouldn’t punish the members for mod oversights, even if the mod in question was Komon. Oh and believe me, I’m not condoning what he did, and I’ve talked to him about the matter and explained how to further complicated this thread, trust me it’s not going to happen again. I’m honestly fine with either of the options alex offered, though I’d prefer his second one. I will however say that Alex should have totally known better and it was a mistake on his part. Not something to void a thread over in my opinion.
Now I did see Takeo posting about the book on the app page, but considering that post is gone now, and considering that in his last thread in tenga he notes he still has a chapter of the book left to write. I’m going to rule it’s still in the possession of takeo unless he says otherwise. (I have reached out to him and am waiting a response, I’d appreciate it if everyone reading this let me handle it so he isn’t getting multiple messages over the same thing.) That said, anything considering the book at this point in time, is considered void.
All in all, faults were committed on both sides, and I really do hope a situation like this doesn’t happen again. The mods especially should be advocating for ooc civility.
Mess cleaned up? Probably not. I’ll await responses from whoever feels the need to comment, my only request is that comments are from the parties directly involved.
Thanks peoples.
EDIT: Takeo clarified with me that the book is still with him, so everything I said still stands
