Chance meeting (Hato)

The cold breeze of a chilly morning breeze'd through the cracks of Hoshi's shack, managing to give him quite the wake up as his bones tensed up unconsciously during his ,otherwise soothing sleep, within his sleeping bag. The chill managed to at least get him readily awake instead of the alternative of just lying in bed. 

Unzipping his sleeping bag, the young Genin decided to prepare a hearty breakfast to get his mind off the cold, And what better than cooked Deer meat. Sadly the meat once simply cooked under heat wasn't the best. Bits of blood were still within the deer. Of course Hoshi hated this taste Since who the hell would like the taste of blood at all, They would have to be some sort of vampire or something. Hoshi would never run into that many Vampires within his life after a mission dealing with one... Hopefully not anyway.

With that said he made his way out of the shack after changing and bringing his usual supplied of 2 bottles of water, A snack out of simple rice and a journalmap. The best kind of map. 

Swinging on the branches near the outside of his house was always a good way to get out of the house for once. Yet once he started to focus on his surroundings he noticed a bat holding onto his bag for dear life. Stopping rapidly Hoshi tried to see what the bat wanted... Yet all it did was jump at his face aiming for a chomp... That bat did not manage to even catch up now that Hoshi restarted his swinging at top speeds.

Hoshi didn't realise the obvious calls to vampires being made around himself as he approached the training grounds early in the morning ,6:23 A.M to be exact, to get some early training done. Yet as he enter'd he thought to himself that he really hasn't had a proper good chance to spar against a wider variety of people. And so he asked the first person he did ,or would, see within the training grounds a question "Hey there. Ya looking for a training partner?"

The cold wind was a rude awakening. Once it traveled into the apartment room Hato slept in, it was easily detected by her skin. It was her own fault, she probably shouldn't of left the window open. After getting up, she quickly went to shut the window so no more cold winds would brush against her body or let all her furniture get cold. It was really early in the morning, so Hato had time to kill. The konochi spent the next hour eating breakfast and getting dressed. She had no plans for the day, so it would be for the best that she train today. After all, the chunin exams could arrive at any moment and she need to prepare more techniques and jutsu. Maybe even get to spar with a fellow genin to evaluate her competition. 

So after getting dressed in her training gear: a black tank top, combat pants, sports bra and combat boots, she would head out of the apartment and down to the field. 

It was around 6 when Hato arrived the training field. It was really bright yet, it was still early. So it was dimly lit. The vampire found a spot to put her ninja tools, which was right next to a wooden post used for training. It was still pretty cold so she wanted to get to it so it would warm up her body. She started with some punches against the side of the post to warm up. 

Hato was barely into her warm up when her concentration was broken by a young genin. The woman turned to the child to see he was talking to her, obviously. He asked if she wanted to be his training partner. It was unexpected but she still gave a friendly phony smile, although she was a master at hiding the phony part. "Sure! I'm Hato Sano." She introduced herself. Although, she couldn't help but mentally cringe on how pathetic it was to say that.

Ryūka had time to kill. He just hadn't made up his mind on what to.

He sighed, then took a deep breath to calm himself down. He once again came to terms with the fact that killing was not allowed. He glanced back at the giant metal flower floating behind him. It was perfect. He had it crafted with high hopes, and for now, he was happy with it. There was just a problem. A tiny little problem. Ryūka was a swordsman. He used swords. That's what his strategy in battle was, that's what he was training in. That's what he wanted to be. And yet, his katana hadn't been unsheathed in a long time. Not to hurt his friends, he had to keep it sheathed when fighting. Not to cause fatal injuries to criminals he fought, he had to keep it sheathed. He was afraid they were getting rusty. Both the katana, and him.

After all, a man and his katana were one and the same.

Woah, that thought was weeby. Ryūka had to shake it off. He had to feel cool again, and maybe also shake the dust off himself. He headed to the training grounds. When he reached it, the first sight that caught his eyes brought a smile to his face. Hato and Hoshi. Ryūka approached the two. "Hey. You two know each other?". He smiled and added, "Small city I guess. So... Here to train... Here to fight?.". He turned to Hato, "Guess we never saw each other fight before. Today might be the day, what do you think?".

When Hoshi looked closer at the person ,whom he asked to become his training partner, he realised it was the same exact women that was with Zyxis whilst they were hunting that real life vampire. He's curious as to how he keeps meeting all these strange individuals. Though hopefully she doesn't have a bloodline too. She gave a rather polite greeting, though it was mostly stock politeness rather than a genuine one ,as one should expect given as how they don't even know each other much.

With the training partner selected Hoshi simply began by asking "So. What kinda jutsu do ya use in a battle then? Tai user? Nin? Perhaps something else?" Knowing what to expect and how to help her should be the first step. Though Hoshi forgot to do the real first step until he just remembered off the top of his head "Oh right sorry. I'm Hoshi Kyouken. Though you can call me Hoshi like everyone else does." Normally when saying his name he would get odd looks, Never knowing why anyone would have weird feelings against the name.

With the greeting over and done with Hoshi decided to begin by readying himself for a possible fight. "Let's have a warm up bout first. Just to see each others skills and-" yet before Hoshi could begin an assault, Ryuka came by in an instant?! Hoshi's life was full of coincidence's the moment he met Ryuka and Zyxis. "I mean we met--ish whilst hunting down an enemy of sorts. Though ya know Hato? Why is it every genin I've seen knows another genin all together." This was becoming less bizarre and more normal for Hoshi day by day.

"And yeah to train we were just going to have a quick bout and all. Though now that you here I guess we can all sort of train via a big ol spar against one another." Excitement flowed through his veins now that Ryuka was going to join in this, Since no matter how weak or strong Hato is their's always Ryuka who he knows the strength of pretty well to get some excitement. After thinking this Hoshi prepared himself by jumping back 10 metre's from Hato. Whilst leaving a gap of 12 metre's between him and Ryuka, with a offensive Stance up. Ready for combat.

Formalities were being made. Hato greeted herself to the boy and he did so as well. He informed her that his name was Hoshi. It was an odd name because it reminded her of Hoshikagure, the village hidden in the Stars. Which meant that his name must mean star. It was a cool name to say the least. Hato's name meant Dove which was really given with a choice, she might of named herself Hebi or something bad ass like that. At least her name gave her a peaceful thought. 

Before Hoshi told the konochi his name, he asked what her ninja skill was. "Oh, I'm a medical user." Hato informed him after he gave his name. "I know some tai jutsu though," she emphasized as if that would change his opinion on fighting her. 

As Hoshi was about to explain the sparring terms a familiar voice came to the action. It was Ryuka. The multi hair shinobi asked if they knew each other, meaning her and Hoshi. Hoshi explained they had just met. Then a crazy idea popped into his head and asked if they'd be down for a big spar between the three of them. Ryuka had never seen Hato's fighting style and her hadn't seen his. She'd had seen Hoshi powerful punch and fast speeds when he attacked the rapid vampire that he kept eluding too. Hoshi had also never seen her fighting style. "Today might be the day." She repeated back to Ryuka after he stated that he'd never seen her fight. Hoshi backed away from Hato about 10 meters, signalling to get ready. Hato did like wise, staying the same 10 meters away from Hoshi while moving 10 meters away from Ryuka, creating a triangle formation. "Don't worry boys, I'm a medic. So go as hard as you want." She teased.

"Oh. Go as hard as I want? I like the sound of that.". He walked back just a bit, standing 5 meters away from both of his friends. "Okay let's go then." Smokeperf said, waiting for the first attack. His hands waited on the correct spots of his flying metal petal sheath. The right hand on the right side, left hand on the left, both standing in front of the petal that was 1 away from the lower middle petal.

So the fight was about to begin between the three of them, All with their own fighting technique's. Though Hoshi was the most curious about Hato, He's never seen her in actual combat and only met her recently. Even if he's only met her once before she seems to be a strong women, Capable of feats not just medical wise.

Hoshi decided he would begin the match by simply dashing towards Hato. Knowledge about how one fights and thinks would only be shown in combat, So He wanted to learn more about Hato by exchanging blows against one another. With this Hoshi closed the distance between the two. Just to 7 metre's only. Ryuka's speed was still vastly superior to his own, So he needed to keep his attention on Ryuka as he closed the distance. Though as he was focused on Ryuka too much he lost track of his steps and tripped on some wet flooring in front of him. Landing on his back.

The spar was on it's way to beginning. The smoke shinobi hadn't moved to start the match. His mistake. Although, the metal disk behind him was interesting and Hato was very anxious to see what it would do. She hadn't seen either of their techniques and they might be totally boring or super powerful. The test to see was beginning to make her excited.

Hoshi seemed ready to attack Hato, and she was ready to counter as he started sprinting at her, closing 7 meters between them. He must of not been a ballerina because as he was checking on Ryuka too see what he would do, he slipped. How embarrassing. Hoshi wasn't making a very good first impression. Hato didn't waste the advantage though. As soon as she noticed his behind falling, she weaving the tiger hand sign at the speed of 65. After that, she spat out mist at a speed of 105. It continued to spread at the same speed, engulfing all three of them, 30 meter from where Hato was positioned. The thickness of the mist was hard to peer through, especially if you have any chakra seeing eyes. 

Luckily for Hato, she had learned Mind's eye of the Kagura. This would allow her to know the where about precise location of both Hoshi and Ryuka even through the mist. Right after the mist covered the field, she used the jutsu, sending their were about at a speed of 105. Both of their chakra's weren't to par with Hato's but she can't imagine they were just slaking off. She had to be careful. Hato didn't plan to move, she was going to just wait for the two of them to come into her web. 

AP usage:

Smokeperf saw Hato spewing out Smoke as it quickly started expanding. It was a technique that was familiar to one of the tricks Ryūka could use with his Big Friendly Pipe. Ryūka instantly started running out (to the opposite direction of Hato). Obviously the mist being faster than him, caught on to him. But after just a few more seconds, Ryūka was out of the misty area. Ryūka moved 5 meters away from the cloud, and started waiting.

This was interesting. Hato has Smoke abilities as well? Could it be that the two were related? Huh. Ryūka would make a point to note that in a page in his mind, to ask her about it later. He watched the smoke cloud for movements, paid attention to the sounds and waited to see if someone would come out of it.

"Tsk." Hoshi's plan had not only failed but in acting it out he also looked like a complete idiot. He had hoped that once he fell down Ryuka or Hato would dash into him, Leaving them open to a surprise attack as he still has not used that ONE combination of jutsu's yet and from how this current affair went? Never would. Though now that he's down on the floor he could see mist start to cover the area, It was similar to the smoke bomb Zyxis used in their first spar and yet she could produce this amount of mist with simple breathe?! She was clearly not your ordinary fighter and so he needed to get up rapidly onto his feet.

Unlike before ,When Hoshi went in guns blazing into the smoke bomb, Hoshi was instead being patient. He waited to try and hear any sounds. Not moving a single muscle as to try and not alert the two of them about his presence ,unaware that Hato knows his location already, Though through this he heard the rapid sound of feet ,most likely Ryuka retreating alike the smoke bomb incident, and so decided to in the opposite direction. If Ryuka would run it would be to the direct opposite of Hato's smoke cloud and so she should be in that direction. Hoshi did not care if this would be a trap. It would be wiser to attack Hato who seemed to take alot of energy to create this, Rather than the Ryuka who had just escaped and could easily react to his exit. The moment Hoshi could see Hato he would try to punch her with a sucker punch aimed to simply knockout and not kill/permanently injure. If not then he would simply walk rather then dash towards her location. Keeping his guard up from any angles. Listening to anything off.
