Genin Exam (open)

The time has finally arrived, the time that all academy students had been waiting for since the beginning of their training, the time when boys and girls become recognised as... slightly older boys and girls, the genin exams are upon us.

Heichi eagerly gazed at his bed-side alarm-clock, watching it for what seemed like forever until it turned over from 8:29AM to 8:30AM. His eyes strained against the still darkness of early morning, gazing at the small electronic device as he prayed that it would just move faster.
 Heichi's focus on the clock was not in an attempt to get ready for anything really, after all, by electing not to sleep the previous night he had also managed to get ready a full two hours beforehand. He had already gotten dressed in his usual attire being the same as any school day, his shirt and pants admittedly stained with fading sweat as he had already performed his morning exercises. His routine had gotten more focussed after meeting the older boy Cole and witnessing his incredible skill, leading to him increasing his, admittedly, already rather intense regime.
 Just as Heichi's eyes were about to close, he immediately snapped them open, shocked by the violent beeping sound his alarm clock was emitting. Immediately taken by feelings of joy and urgency he quickly slammed his hand upon the alarm clock, shattering the second hand plastic device. Heichi however had no cares for such things however, he had a class to get to and an exam to pass.
 Quickly grabbing an erstwhile apple from beside the, now defective, alarm clock and shoving said fruit into his mouth, he deftly somersaulted into his window, illiciting a reverberating 'thunk' noise, as he fell back on his front. Spitting out his apple upon landing, the boy rather shakily got back upon his feet, grabbed his apple, opened the window, and simply dove through it, this time proving successful as he raced off towards his class.
 'Wonder who's gonna be holding the exams?' Thought the young boy as he bounded off walls and rooftops heading towards the Hoshigakure academy. Landing in a squatted position before the unfortunately still closed doors Heichi took a swift bite of his apple. "Looks like we're doing this the ninja way" Heichi said with a subtle smirk before proceeding to scale the walls with his new surface walking skills.
 Upon reaching the window to his classroom Heichi's smirk faded replaced with a cool determination as he retrieved a pair of lockpicks from his flak-jacket. Manoeuvring the lockpicks with a sordid idea of finesse Heichi was able to jam the lock into opening. He quickly slipped through the now open window and took his usual spot in class, only then allowing himself to relax.
 Unfortunately all that time spent awake and the sudden lack of adrenaline proved a poor mixture for the boy, as Heichi's head immediately hit the table, leaving the poor boy in a deep trance-like sleep.

Why the fuck was Shina here?

Ever since the passing of the first and second Hogokages, the brunette had become more and more of an afterthought. Her importance became even less due to the fact that that damn bimbo Namikaze had started practicing fuinjutsu arts. In the months that came from since then, Shina had just stared to fade away more and more into the background, to the point that that shity ashen skin teen known as Valen hadn't even considered Shina for the roll of Deputy Kage. Shina, the woman that basically ran the village during the first Hogokage's reign.

Well, it didn't matter to her now, meant less paperwork for her. It also meant that Shina was no longer needed to go on suicide mission runs, similar to that one mission that blonde bitch took last night and had gotten her self injured on. Welp, now the village was without a kage or a deputy, but hey, that wasn't her problem.

Right now what was her problem was taking care of these little pipsqueak wannabe ninjas in training. She alone held the power to pass or fail of if these starie eyed children. Power, something that Shina hadn't felt in a long time.

The bell rung at 9'oclock on the dot, Shina would enter the academy room, not a second to early, or a second to late. Perfectly on time. To the students who would be seeing Shina now, they would notice her wearing a brown tunic under her Jounin Jacket, which, upon closer inspection, one would notice that this was a size to large for her. This was due to the fact that Shina had started to take a liking to wearing the clothes of her her late boyfriend. Half of this was as a way to remember him, half of this was as a way to put off having to due laundry for a few extra days. As the Brunette veered over her class room, her eye caught something. A little blonde fuck, just laying face down, sleeping, right before the  the start of what would be the biggest event of his life. Shina had the ability to be forgiving, but to a kid that didn't have a care in the world like this one?

Before the woman could even take her seat, she would pull out a kunai from her holster on her upper left thy, and would toss it at the boy (OOC: IDK what her substat's are, so for simplicity sake, lets say speed of 60 and sharpness of 60 as well). The Kunai would sail through true in the air, reaching the target of the boy's arm an unless stopped prematurely, would dig itself deep into the flesh of the kid, cutting off his tendons and probably making his arm useless until he revived medical attention.  This attack wouldn't kill the boy, (After all, Shina didn't want to have to explain herself to the annoying Akari V2, or Mrs. Tattoo artist herself Namikaze.) but it would be enough to take him out of action for the day, and teach him a lesson about being respectful to his superiors.

This was a new dream, a strange dream to be sure, or so thought Heichi, it was a repeat of the events that had happened just a few days before. The older boy Cole standing a good few feet away, the open field part of the training grounds, and Heichi, with a kunai held just between the index and middle-fingers of the tiger hand seal. Feeling a sudden burst of activity, Heichi closed his index and middle-fingers launching the kunai into the air, he swiftly leapt to grab it, performing a full-body twist in mid-air like a pirouette before putting all of his speed and strength behind the toss. At that point, Heichi's perspective changed, he was just behind the kunai, panning around it as it flew through the air, until finally his vision stopped just in front of it. Realising it was going to hit, Heichi attempted to leap out of the way 'Shit! Too fast!'.
 Heichi's bloodshot eyes snapped open, and his body moved as it did in his dreams, quickly standing and moving to the left. Unfortunately, he was nowhere near fast enough to avoid the kunai, whilst he avoided the more deteriorating effects of the blow, the kunai still cut deep, leaving a deep wound along the biceps under his arm. The wound spurted a fine crimson liquid as Heichi turned his eyes towards his attacker, he quickly stopped moving and took in the assailant. The brown hair cut into a more lengthy bowl cut, the pointed yet earnest features forced into an angry grimace, the hoshigakure flak-jacket, and of course the baggy clothes she'd taken to wearing. "Shina senpai, what are you doing here, I thought you'd already completed the genin exam?" Heichi asked in a rather weak voice, his pale complexion and bags under his eyes being all the information one needs to see he did not sleep well, if at all, the fact he hadn't noticed the still bleeding wound along his biceps, all but confirming the theory.
 The sole reason he knew Shina was because she'd done a few missions alongside his older sister, though his sister's description of her normally placed her in a more polite light, as opposed to the angry demon he was now talking too.

It appeared that the boy had the wearwithall to avoid the kunai completely cutting into his arm and eliminating him from the exam. That being said, the boy didn't get off unscratched. Red liquid oozed out of the boy's flesh, drenching boy's shirt with his the crimson blood. The Room got got silent as the mood got more and more serious. About damn time these kids took these exams serious.

"That's Shina Sensei to you, child." The woman would correct the naive student. While she did not raise her voice, a disgusted tone could be sensed in the woman's words. "And yes, yes I have completed my genin exam. And because I completed my genin exam, which is why I was asked to proctor the exam for hardworking genin hopeful's, and determine if they were ready to join the ranks and become shinobi. What I wasn't told was that I would also have to be working with slackers that can't even be bothered to be awake when their proctor enters the room."

Presuming the boy made no moves to counter attack at this point, the woman would walk toward the teachers desk and would take a seat behind it. Lined up all across the desk were the Hoshigakure Headbands, the symbol that showed one had gone through the training required and had become a certified shinobi of the village hidden amoung the stars. "Well? You all know why you are here. I have little time to waste on these exams, so lets get on to it." The woman annoyingly look around at the classroom, wondering who she should call up first. "I think the normal procedure is to do this by alphebetical order, but I think some of us have less time then the other's."


Casting her gaze up at the boy she had just hit with her kunai, the woman would ask. "Can Sir Sleep-a-lot continue with his exam? Or is he too much of a whimp to take part of this exam just because he took a small little scrape?" The other students would nervously fidget in their seats, the smell of nervous sweat could be smelt through the room. This exam did not have the feeling of that of a normal gennin exam. On the contrary, it had more of the feeling of that of a Kirigakure Blood Game examination. "If you can't, don't waste our time with thinking about it, just give me my kunai back and head to the infirmary. If you can, you know the drill. Preform the transformation jutsu and the clone jutsu, and give me an explanation of how each of these could be used in shinobi life. And before you try to say it, no, neither of which can be used to stop you from bleeding out."

At that point, the former girlfriend of the First Hogokage would await to hear the student's desicion on if he wanted to continue or not.

Heichi maintains a confused gaze at Shina sensei, before rapidly shaking his head and smacking his face with both hands before levelling a more determined stare at her. "Yes, Sensei!" The boy shouts while taking a deep bow, narrowly avoiding hitting his face in the desk in front of himself.
 Heichi waltz forward to the front of the class, before turning to face his fellow students, he takes a squatting pose before performing the hand-seals for the transformation jutsu. Swirling a fine skin of chakra around himself he decides he will take the form of the genin from a few days ago, Masashi. He shapes the chakra to form a much taller appearance, with paler skin and freckles, with a mop of thick red hair hanging about his head area, he continues to form clothes over the body, namely an open red robe and an undersuit made of navy blue cloth.
 Heichi's transformation occurred in a split second and a puff of smoke, and he takes an 'at ease' pose after performing it. "The transformation justsu!" Heichi practically shouts to the class, [color-orange]"This jutsu's purpose is to hide in plain sight, by taking the appearance of others one can easily get close to a target for assassination or message delivery, or blend in with a crowd for a quick gettaway!"[/color] Heichi's shouting doesn't appear to be slowing down, "Unfortunately this jutsu doesn't do anything about copying the transformation's vocal patterns or personality so one would have to know about the intended person they were turning into and have a grasp on how to alter their voice to match the transformation's target first!" Heichi maintains the stoic face of Masashi as he delivers his final sentence on the matter, "Unfortunately, the jutsu is also chakra intensive, and cannot be maintained for extended periods without the use of chakra boosters such as link-jutsus and soldier pills!"
 Heichi releases the jutsu before turning to Shina-sensei, his gaze is nowhere near as hardy as when he was transformed but you can see a hint of determination in his eyes as he asks her "Alright, how was that?".

Sorry about the wait on my end too, was waiting for another thread to finish so that academy student could join and complete their genin exam too, they're called Tane.

As the boy approached her desk, Shina was tempted to start to tap her foot in order to get the boy to rush over. That being said, the Jounin of Hoshigakure didn't want to disturb the rest of the class, so the woman would restrain herself. The boy would quickly explain the transformation jutsu and show how to preform in.

Having never met the noble Massashi, Shina didn't know for sure if this was a good transformation or not. That being said, there wasn't a huge flaw with the trasnformation, so the woman would nod and write down a note on her page. Listening into the transformation section, the woman would also note down something, both seemed to be fair.

"Ok then," The woman would say looking up at the student. "Now, preform the clone jutsu and explain the use of it so I can move on, I have an entire class to do this with."

Heichi takes a deep breath, and begins to perform the hand-seals for the clone jutsu, he stops abruptly during the second seal when his right arm began feeling a bit off, causing him to stop. Heichi inspects the failing limb as he notices the alarming amount of red fluid that appeared to be draining from it, taking a moment, the boy quickly and resourcefully tears a strip of cloth from the bottom of his shirt, leaving a bit of his midriff and mesh shirt exposed.
 [color-orange]"Sorry about the interuption Shina-sensei"[/color] Heichi sheepishly said as he began wrapping the bolt of cloth tightly around the wound, staunching the blood flow behind a black band. Finishing his handiwork with a few swift tugs upon the makeshift bandage and believing it to be tied accordingly Heichi began forming his hand-seals for the clone jutsu once again.
 Heichi quickly dashes through the ram, snake, and tiger handseals, summoning up a perfect clone of himself directly too his left, slightly obscuring the teacher's desk behind it. "The basic clone jutsu is a skill utilsed to make a visible doppleganger of oneself!" Heichi shouts once again, almost having completely ignored that moment between this jutsu demonstration and the last one. "Unfortunately, that is all the basic clone jutsu is, a visible doppleganger, it bears no true physical traits or abilities, only the more advanced clone techniques do!" Heichi continues, with a minor hint of a smile marking his, and his clone's features. "However, through genjutsu, it can appear to have that same physical presence as a real person, making these skills almost synonymous with each-other" Heichi's states, with his voice appearing to tone down from the constant shouting it was when preciously explaining. Heichi continues to stare straightforward at the rest of the class as he gives his final statement, "The jutsu is normally used as a distraction, mainly as a decoy for escape or to disorientate one's foes, getting an enemy to focus on a clone you instead of the real you".
 At the end of his short speach, Heichi hastily cancels his clone jutsu before he turns toward Shina, "Is their anything else you require Shina-sensei?" The boy says with a half-bow and a slight smile.

Shina would roll her eyes as the boy took the time to tend to his wounds, the Fuinjutsu Specilist had told him that if he was going to waste his fellow classmates time that he should just head over to the nurse's office. Honestly, Shina wanted to just fail the kid at that point, but the thought of having to deal with this entire process again whenever the boy got healed annoyed the woman. At least if she continued with this exam, he would either fail and have to wait 6 months before attempting the exam again, or pass and be out of the the brunette's hair. God, Shina hated doing Gennin exams.

The boy would finish adressing his wounds and show his ability to use the clone jutsu and give an explanation as to how it worked. The Kunochi was probably just going to fail him, but the boy added a bit of insight that wasn't normally put into examanee's jutsu explanation. Using genjutsu to make the clones look real, a smart idea. The woman would make a few notes on her page before looking up to the boy.

"Fine, nothing was really flawed, so I suppose you pass. Take a headband head the the infirmary and get Joy to stitch up that wound. That makeshift bandage will probaly not hold up much longer."

The woman would wave the boy off before she would call up annother student to take part of the exam.

Granting Valen Akari the ability to use this WC on Shina how he sees fit. If he doesn't wish to, I will go ahead and make claims later.

Heichi lifts his head up from the slight bow, his face bearing a quizzical expression, 'did I just pass? he thought to himself as Shina gestured for him to take a headband. 'Is this real right now, has everything I've been training for come to this moment' Heichi holds his position for a bit longer, the same confused expression upon his face. Heichi takes a moment or two to realise the angry expression Shina has on her face is because he hasn't followed any of her instructions yet.  
 Realising what Shina had said, Heichi was overcome with emotion, a slight sniffle escapes him as his eyes begin to water. Heichi resumes a standing position, the boy walking over to the teacher's desk with a triumphant look, unfortunately his now clearly crying face kind of offsets it. With his head held high as he picks up the first headband, he takes a few seconds to stare at it, the Hoshigakuri purple of the cloth, the star symbol that has been so carefully embossed into the metal. 
 'It's beautiful, and I've earned it' Heichi thought to himself, he turns toward Shina "Thank you Shina-sensei!" his face a wreck of tears as he bows to an almost comical angle before turning on his heel and walking out the door to visit the infirmary.
