What a fun place (Nekrun)

Well for starters. The day was merely decent. Sure it was a bit prior to the soon to be exams. However it was defintly startingb to get busy. Vendors bringing out their finest of crafts. The farmers freshening their crops. Even the freshening of newly brewed ales, and incense where on the rise.

Revenue was the important part, and life flows forward for traders and men/ women of crafts. That, and the motion of the shinobi in question that keep things going. Now with many such induviduals there are many that would question the man that was walking down the street. A slow casual stroll as he observed the shops and such. His black rimmed hat, and black cloak that hid his jouninn jacket. As well as his trademark eyepatch covering his single eye. The commoners shifted almost unconciously out of his way from his sheer chakra power. While shinobi awknowledged his presence.

As it was such yen merely walked as if it was a normal day regardless.. a 1 speed stroll as he spotted a peculiar moment. Random kids talking about medical jutsu and stuff and clearly one kid had some mask.

Yen thought as he decided to walk over and lean against a tree to listen a bit. Still it was interesting. Blond haired girl had a kumo headband on and the boy. He would only assume he was from konoha. An interesting exchange, but this was getting nowhere anytime soon.

"Hm well you do not need offense to be a good fighter you see."

Yen stated awnsering for the girl. As he was generous and kind.

"Well how about we walk and talk you two. Im generous today. We will need a bit more of a clear eviornment anyway. We do not want to congest the people now. Do we?"

After stating her power as a shinobi, Nekrun added a very sly comment. He told her that in order to make it far in the chunin exams, she needed some physical prowess. This made Hato laugh. "Who told you that? The mind is stronger than the bronze, you know."

Hato would then be cut off from anything further with a shinobi appearing behind them unexpectedly. His chakra presence was strong. She'd use Mind's eye to further investigate the level, deactivating it right away after getting a closer analytical. She had seen genin with the same chakra level, so rank couldn't be stated right away. All this stranger did was reiterate what she stated. He'd also state that they should walk and talk to clear the area more. Hato would normally make up an excuse to leave at this point but Yen intrigued her. She wondered how he ticked. So she followed.

Nekrun heard the quick but short comment from the female genin, but his interest in what she said was cut short. Nekrun watched as the jounin walked behind them and looked over not realizing how strong the man standing before them actually was. Nekrun knew not to judge a book by it's cover and decided to be nice to this man as he spoke. Nekrun knew the trouble he could get in if he started being mean to this guy, that was if he was high ranking. heard the comment from the man, basically saying the same thing as Hato just with different wording. Nekrun had started thinking over the topic for a short second, but was quickly cut off in his thinking with the next comment from the jounin. 

"Well how about we walk and talk you two. Im generous today. We will need a bit more of a clear eviornment anyway. We do not want to congest the people now. Do we?" Nekrun could tell that this man sounded like he looked down on the two of them, so he decided it would be best to go along with what the man said. Nekrun didn't understand even a fraction of how much stronger this man was than him, but still obeyed due to his commanding tone. It was almost like instinct. Nekrun was nervous as he gave his answer to the mans question, not even sure if a verbal answer was required. 

"I guess we should move" As Nekrun said this he looked around and noticed the that the town seemed to be booming more than usual due to the exams starting. Once he had realized this the comment the ninja made was much clearer. Nekrun would follow the older ninja wherever they wanted the two other genin to "walk and talk" as long as it was a safe place, he's obviously not walking off of a mountain or anything like that that may be capable of hurting Nekrun as he went over, through, or under it. 

Nekrun then realized that he would want to know the ninja who had just shown up's rank and name, he just had to do it without seeming demanding. Nekrun tried to ask his question in a casual tone before they started walking. "If you don't mind my asking, what's your name and rank?" Nekrun would listen to what the man said and note it in his mind as the man said it.

Ah the two seemed quiet cooperative. But naturally this,was a good time to keep moving.  Thus they pretty much continued through a straight line as yen merely took mote of the various festivities going around. 

The rarity of vendors and craftsmen were of abundance. It was where the many that honed their prized crfts from all corners of the continent. A wonderful bringing of revenue to konoha and the land of fire. 

But his interest was also in the two rather interesting charecters walking with him. The boy by the sounds of it was more keen in knowing yens name and rank. Direct, and simple minded. It was almost as if the boy had a sense that he was in over his head. Granted yen did not forget the hole punched in the wall. But still he simply awnsered.

"Eh call me yen. As for rank i go by many diffrent ranks. I can assume your senior. But it is rude to hide your face to a lady you know? proper edicit young sport."

Yen stated as he wagged a finger at neku and with little care to his name or  rank for the moment, but yen could feasibly figure with the boy's show of class and rather googly eyed interaction. He was a genin. As forvthe girl her chakra power was signifigantly  noticeable, but all in the same he flashed her a smile and spoke up.

"After all i may be missing an eye, but we still show our face here."

The single deep yellow eye studied the girl as he showed a nice freindly of himself. Most the time he was crass or more critical of people to their faces, but this was more to thoes who studied under him. Still his interest was  now to see what drove the two induviduals discussion.

"Yes, but now i am curious what was the point of the medical talk? Just like any chakra usage, or  specialization of any person. May it be villager, shnobi, even a lord. They all have strengths and weaknesses. A craftsman by the nature. May be amazing at design, but his ability to architect a vilkage can be no better then the tree trying to do it.  Even then a physically stromg shinobi, can fare well vs a shinobi that holds most their power behind their jutsu. It is all ablut confidence. Can you woo a person to buy some fruit for several hundred ryo? Or can your opponent sell fruit by the bunches for several hundreds worth of ryo? All of this plays the age old question. How will we fare when the challenge comes up to us?."

Yen stated as he began to speak up and smile.

"What you come up with to approach a challenge. Will ultimately make you susceed or fail. Often time as a shinobi. This can cost you, your team, and/or the village you serve Dearly.  That means you have best trust your course of action, and not underestimate another person's methods."

Nekrun would soon follow short when Hato took the time to follow Yensung. The hustle and bustle of the city grew distant as they traveled, making it easier to hear the two. This village was certainly full of life, Hato assumed that it was because of the chunin exams that everyone was in hurry like it was black Friday.

The younger Nekrun ask for the man's name and rank in attempt of investigation to his identity, leaving Hato to notice that the boy didn't know some people in his own village. This would also, hopefully, allow Hato to collect information without asking for it directly. He gave his name as Yen but gave his rank as many ranks? Clearly a sign of avoiding the question asked of him. The blonde chuckled as Yen also explained to him that it was rude to hide your face from a lady. "Yeah, you best be careful." She was just playing along. The vampire didn't really care if Nekrun wore his mask around her or not.

Yensung had yellow eye, a strange and mage like hat and bore yellow eyes, which he used to give off a friendly smile to Hato as often as he could. It was a popular sign of at least some attraction. She'd better exploit it the best she could. In return, she'd give a soft smile back at him, almost like she was interesting in what his friendly face asked for.

The man then went into more detail with the conversation they were having earlier, giving some of his own insight into the matter. To Hato, it just felt like pointless blabber that was mostly for Nekrun instead of her but she didn't show it on her face. Her face showed all intent to listen to his wise words. At the end of his rant, Hato gave another chuckle, "Isn't it rude to eavesdrop on another persons conversation?" This was jab at him early trying to make Nekrun be polite.

As Nekrun followed along with the other two he noticed the amount of merchants start to decrease, although not by any significant margin. It was clear that three were heading out of town, or at least to a less popular part of town. Nekrun had asked his question but didn't get quite a straight answer on part of it "Eh call me yen." Nekrun had thought about what the man was saying but saw no reason why it would be rude in his mind. Nekrun decided to take off his mask anyway, just simply pulling it down so it hung around his neck. "Yeah, you best be careful." Nekrun heard this comment from Hato as his did this.

"Happy?" Nekrun would say this in a monotone way, not trying to put any sarcasm or anything like that into his voice. Nekrun noticed that yen had been waging his finger, although Nekrun didn't mind it, he hoped it would stop after he gave his answer. As if to add more flame to the fire yen added "After all i may be missing an eye, but we still show our face here." Nekrun didn't want to say much more as he had already taken down his mask, but he only just now noticed that yen only had one eye. Quite odd for most people, you would expect them to have it healed, but this man probably had his own reasons for leaving it this way.

Nekrun didn't expect yen to start lecturing the two genin, but it happened either way. "Yes, but now i am curious what was the point of the medical talk? Was he supposed to answer each of them individually, he didn't know. But he didn't want to use the time to answer them in case it didn't matter.

Neku had removed the mask.  Which was good. What was the point in simply hiding your face? He was not in disguise in another country.

"Much better"

Yen would reply  to the slight creeping sarcasim from the boy with a seemingly chip of obliviousness in his voice. But of course the girl decided to speak up and yen simply shrugged.

"We cannot be too careful, and it is a habit. You will pick more up in it later in your career."

Yen stated as they stopped by a noodle stand and the slight rustle of his cloak revealed a slight hint of his jouninn flak jacket, but it was merely a hint. Of a sneak peak.

His hands produced a small pouch of ryo from the folds of his black cloak and he smiled at the chef.

"What do you want young lady. A treat on me and you too young man. For your future suscess as a shinobi."

Yen stated as he raised up  3 fimgers. Getting neku  a bowl of plain noodles since he was too busy as it seemed to pay attention to yens words. Apparently cleaning a smudge from his precious mask.

His attention turned to the girl as should she order yen would now simply pay attention to her quietly. Well developed, but she needed a few more years of maturity. Still being a gentleman yen was gazing at the girl's eyes with his one eye.

'So how do you enjoy konoha? Must be distinctively diffrent to what you are used to. Eh?"

Yen asked as he took a sseat in a booth chair. His feet dangling from the sheer height.

The trio moved onward. Nekrun had taken off his mask as instructed by Yen. The boy didn't seem to care much of the fact that he had to take off his mask, but it was more the fact that Yen was making a deal out of it. Hato understood that. Underneath Nekrun's mask was a normal boy's face, full of youth. Both could be said about Hato and Yen; none of them were really that old. Yen seemed content with his choice to listen to him.

Yen stopped at a noddle stand, and so did Hato. Yen asked the young lady what she wanted and that the treat would be on him. She wanted to say no because she wasn't all that hungry. However, it was free food and she could still eat. Although Nekrun was told he could also have a bowl, it still felt like Nekrun was a three wheel. Yen seemed to be giving her all the attention. She wasn't complaining though, she liked the attention that Yen was giving her.

"I'll take it with pork and teriyaki sauce." Hato told the chef. The man nodded and continued with the bowls of ramen.

As the noodles were being made, Yen asked her a question about how she was liking the village, as it was different from Kumo. This wasn't the first time she had been asked this. "Well, the food is delicious, it must help all the farm lands not that far," She said as her first thought. "The people are nice and there is a gross rotten forest surrounding the forest." She half joked. The Rot forest was certainly gross, no doubt about it, but it was also used to it.

They were handed the bowls of ramen once they were ready. Hato thanked the chef and dug into her food, but like a lady with high esteem would. In between her bites, she would ask the two of them, "Have either of you thought of what your village means to you?" She had asked this question to Hikari Hyuuga and Sal not that long ago. Their responses were pleasing. Knowing why people are dedicated to their village help's with character analysis. It was also a good way to keep the conversation alive.

A rotten feild was in play where the girl was from? Yen simply was a bit surprised, but well it was defintley a interesting concept to have. As he would have to guess what "rot" would entell. The area was all but unkown to him. 

Lord the stemch must be unbearable. The very fact that it could be anything. Perhaps they discatd sick, or dead lifestock? Maybe they lack a graveyard, and for all we know the corpses could be there? Yesh gives me the chills a bit.


Yen thought as he simply took a sip of tea and their food came. While by the look of it neku lacked for better words. A stomach to awnser. Yen would not blame him. The very concept would indeed sicken any person before a meal. Still it releived him that the village has fresh food at the least. Yet as he took a bite of  his veggi delux ramen. Assorted with freshly steamed veggitables and of course konoha's signiature noodle recipie. The girl asked an simple question. 


" it means that my services to my village are always open. I can protect each induvidual happily, and their safety warms me. Each person matters to me. Of course I would keep even the least liked induvidual safe. Because it is my home. The home of my ancistors, and thd home to the future generation of shinobi that will come after me."


Yen stated as he dipped his chopsticks back inside the bowl of ramen to fish a carrot and ended up with a peice of brocolli. It was not exactly what he wanted at the moment. Thus he still ate it as be scooped up a few noodles afterwards, and ended that bit with a sip of tea as he glanced at the  girl for a moment considering her for a moment.


"With meeting so many induviduals in a diffrent land. How does it make you feel when you look back at your own village? Does it make you wish the tiniest that you could see who else  you can meet in your future travels? And to what can you take away from this experience young lady?  Has it made you realize that there not only there are many shinobi you have come in contact, but many way's shimobi in other villages  handle things as well?"

Yen asked as he was curious with her interaction wbith other lands, and their inhabitants. It was important to understand just how large the world she was in. Truly was.
