Arrival

The thick, snow covered forests of the Fire Country began to spread and thin out, letting the Hiyu know that he was approaching the hidden village that was currently hosting the exams. With his massive frame concealed under his worn black cloak, Nobunaga would pull out his Kumo head guard and tied it around his left bicep. He made a point of not wearing the head guard from the village that conquered him home however in situations such as this, he felt it necessary to wear it, albeit for a while. 

Despite the massive sword hanging on his back, Nobunaga made sure that he was not a threat by making no attempt to hide his chakra and both calmly and slowly making his way out of the forest and towards the open gates of Konohagakure no Sato. Once five meter's from the gates, the Storm Operative would come to a stop, pulling back his ice crusted hood, revealing his face to those who would seek to question him. Stoically, Nobunaga stood tall and strong, awaiting a member of the Konoha guard to allow him entry.

It was freezing outside when Minato was headed to the village gates. Between missions and training it was his time to do guard duty. It was his first time being assigned to this duty, so he would make sure to learn from it.
Despite the cold weather he was looking forward to it. But he needed to make sure that he took it completely serious, although he was filled with adrenaline.
Minato arrived at the gates, admiring the view and taking in how beautiful the Land of Fire could be during this snowy times.

Making his rounds and cautiously checking out the environment he suddenly noticed someone coming out of the forest and slowly making his way to the gates. Minato could notice it was a rather large man, but he didn't recognize him. 
The Chuunin Exams were at their finishing stages so it would be a little too late for that. Given that there had been reports of Missing Ninja trying to enter villages in times like these it was Minato's duty to go ahead and find out what this man was planning on doing in Konoha.
So he decided to head towards the man who was standing at about 5 meters from the village gates.

"That's close enough for now sir, would you mind revealing yourself and to what occasion you are trying to enter Konoha?"
Minato could notice the Kumo head band tied around his bicep, which made him remember how intimidating this person was looking.

If he gave a satisfying answer Minato would let him enter.

Alas, while Nobunaga stood there out in the cold in silence a Konoha nin finally decided to approach him. A young Genin Nobunaga suspected while he eyed the kid moving towards him. Stoically he watched Minato come up a couple of meters in front of him before asking who he was and what he was doing here. Immediately, Nobunaga knew this was the kids first time doing this for instead of asking for the Anbu's papers, the kid simply asked for Nobunaga to say his name. If Nobunaga were a missing ninja, he could easily just lie to the kid. But he was not here to cause any mischief. 

Therefore with his right hand Nobunaga would reach behind him, under his cloak and into the leather portion of his armor on his waist, hidden under the plates. "I am Hiyu Nobunaga, Jounin of Kumogakure no Sato." Removing his right arm from behind his back and stretching it in front of him, Nobunaga would offer Minato the paper's he did not ask for which contained proof of his identity and allegiance. "I have come to join Hozuki Kyson and the rest of the Kumo delegation that arrived for the Chuunin exams." Nobunaga made sure to mention Kyson so that if Minato wanted to check the arrival records, he would see that Kyson had in fact entered the village before the Chuunin exams had started. Hopefully, this was enough to allow the inexperienced Genin to let the brute into the village. He had spend enough time out in the cold.

The man identified himself as Hiyu Nobunaga, Jounin of Kumogakure no Sato. Handing over his papers so Minato could check if what he said was correct he reached out and offered him aforementioned papers. Minato knew he should have asked for those first but he got a little too nervous.
While comparing the papers to the information the Jounin had given him, the man mentioned he was here to join Hozuki Kyson and the rest of the Kumo delegation that arrived for the Chuunin exams. 
Minato knew that if what he said was true, the name of the other person should be in the records. So he planned to check it out before returning Nobunaga's papers.
"Just a second sir, let me confirm that"

Looking at the records Minato could notice that there was indeed a Hozuki Kyson that had entered the village. Keeping in mind that so far everything he said was true, Minato didn't see any reason to keep the man from entering the village.
Returning to where the man was standing, Minato came back and handed his papers over to him.

"Seems like everything is fine, you may enter the village now. Enjoy your stay"

Nodding, Nobunaga would wait out in the cold as the young Genin took his documentation and went to verify the information he had given. Not that long afterwards the Genin returned, offering Nobunaga his papers back and informing him all was in order and he could enter the snow covered Konoha. Nodding, the Hiyu would retrieve his documents and simple said "Thank you." before proceeding through the open gates and into the village. Now, all he had to do was find was Kyson.
