Soldier Keep on Marching on (Kut)

Ryūnosuke was dead tired. Anybody would be after travelling so far on foot. But he had miles to go yet, the next village was still a pretty good distance away and he wanted to get there in the next few days. And so, he kept walking, most of his fair skin still covered. It was a habit he’d picked up to avoid burning in Suna, and it was something he still did even here in lightning country. He kept his good up, eyes only on the road before him as he trudged on. He had a long way to go before he reached Kumogakure, best to focus on the destination rather than the miles stretching endlessly ahead of him. Dear lord did he hate walking everywhere, a rest in a proper bed would do a world of wonder’s for the teen’s energy and desire to train. He was still nowhere near strong enough. But that would come later. With his usual deadpan fixed on his face, he stayed looking straight into the distance, as if he could see the village from the very borders of the land.

The sporadic breeze of the barren wasteland would be a pleasant change of pace to the overbearing heat of the wind countries desolate sand playground. Having been forced to grow accustomed to the wretched sandbox of Sunagakure, it would be a pleasantry to finally land upon an area no longer occupied by such harsh weather and terrain. The voyage to such a land was quick and bland, finding little difficulties to arrive at his destination despite the reality of the cruel Shinobi world. Thus what brought him to begin his descent towards the village hidden within the clouds, the terrain of this new country desecrated and a seemingly unsalvageable wasteland, though the weather would be easier on travelers compared to the wind country the pungent stench of something reminiscent of something rotting and decaying for eons was plagued throughout the land. Kutari would now be traveling with his suit mimicry having copied his default armor set, the cooler temperatures providing a bit of incentive to appreciate the change of pace and no longer be housed within that armor though the constant effluvium would cause him to question his judgement consistently.
The mission of conquering Kumogakure would take place very soon, one of which was an assignment of Kutari’s bestowed by his ally long ago while he was still cultivating his arsenal for the soon to be war. The apathetic wraith would look forward to a proper battle with the village’s leader, assuming them to be a powerful enemy that justified Kenshin’s obsession and disdain for such an irredeemable location, the boredom he endured within Sunagakure finally being challenged after months of festering. It was clear what his intentions were for the village, and what he planned to do once he saw his efforts bear fruit, however for the time being he’d continue to focus on the task at hand, it being to first make it to the village.
Along his travels, Kutari would be met by what seemed to be a traveler along the brittle road that intended to go in the same direction as he. Being within enemy territory, Kutari instantly began to survey the potential threat alongside becoming more active in his passive sensory capabilities, figuring he’d might have to permanently silence this stranger depending on their own intentions and allegiance. He had somewhere to be and couldn’t waste anymore time, and for that matter wasn’t in the mood to aimlessly kill or slaughter those who served no purpose to his cause, however those who potentially wished to threaten it’s very existence wouldn’t be bestowed such a luxury.
With his katana along his left hip and spear upon his back, Kutari would call out to the stranger as he closed the distance between them, only capable of seeing the seemingly silver color of their hairstyle from behind alongside the garments they wore. The Uchiha’s captivating ambar eyes would settle upon the scenery before him as the featureless wasteland rustled his chestnut hair in fear of what was to come, their very presence a nuisance to the lord’s clear resolve as nothing would stop him within his path. Resting his left hand upon the hilt of the blade, Kutari would call out to the traveler from behind as he stopped moving 5 meters in distance from the foe making sure he had ample time to do what he felt comfortable as he activated his mind's eye to interrogate the enemy, “You, silver haired one answer quickly. Who are you and where do your allegiances lie? Are you a supporter of the village known as Kumogakure? Why have you traveled here today?” Kutari would make quick work of his questions, needing to see to it they’re answered in a reasonable time as he had places to be, though not wishing to mishandle the situation carelessly in which it could negatively impact him later on, fully prepared to silence the newcomer with haste.

Ryūnosuke was definitely no sensor Nin, so when a voice sounded from behind him, the silverette jumped. Bis eyes narrowed, and with hands on his hips he swivelled to face this rude stranger. “I should be asking you the same thing!” The young man snapped, eyes automatically moving to take all of this seemingly rather powerful stranger in. “I have no intent on attacking the village, if that’s what you’re asking. Or anybody in it, no matter their side.” He was truthful, but didn’t fully answer the questions.
To some extent, he’d answered the stranger’s question, but he refused to give too much away when he wasn’t sure who the other was. He hoped he’d given enough information to not be immediately attacked, but he wasn’t liking the looks of things. Really, who was this guy to randomly threaten him without context on the road? Ryūnosuke wasn’t hurting anybody, he was just a traveller on his way to Kumogakure to rest up and see for himself the village responsible for Suna’s downfall. He had to know just what kind of state Kumogakure was in while Suna had suffered.
Meanwhile, the young Missing Nin raised his hands up, empty of any weapons and having made no handsigns. He had no intent to fight this stranger, but he would defend himself if pressed. Now, what was this guy doing interrogating him on the road? He’d have to find out. “If you’re so determined to learn who I am, tell me about yourself as well.”

A brief lapse of time would conduct itself along the road as the foreign traveler would face the opposing direction of Kutari right after he questioned the male, the only sign of life present found in the jump from hearing the wraith’s vocals with a startled exterior. Though the small window of opportunity to appreciate the calm would remain unrecognized by the Missing Nin as he soon found out, having to deal with a nagging passerby who truly didn’t comprehend their current position - ignorance is bliss, he thought. The male would snap back with a ferocity that seemed a bit unprecedented, likely centered upon the frustrating emotions of being startled by Kutari’s sudden voice, taking a countering measure to flip the script on Kutari and question him. It was clear he was consumed by his own emotions, be it his anger examining his own incompetence to notice Kutari prior, or as simple as just being scared at the time.
However which way this sighting could be interpreted either way failed to properly settle on Kutari’s conscious without irritating the man. True, he didn’t exactly have the authority to take such a tone and question passerby’s along the main road to the village ahead, however the Uchiha simply didn’t care he lacked the credentials to officially act as such. What’s more, being the individual before him seemed more hellbent on other frivolous matters then the validity in the questioning taking place, overall coming off as nothing more than a mere child having a temper tantrum. He’d eventually answer Kutari’s questions partially, though falling short on other portions of his questioning… Though he supposed what he did disclose was enough to dictate the man was harmless for the time being, his jutsu proving as such.
Kutari considered possibly harming the male though for their sudden explosive stance against him, irritating the teen with their encounter in a few moments, however the traveler would relinquish himself in a tamed manner by raising his hands and proving to be of no threat to the Uchiha. He’d go on to question Kutari and ask who he was, as if a child wanting to first know who it is they spoke to before saying anymore. Either he was confident in his ability to take down Kutari, or he was just a fool. Whichever remained true Kutari didn’t know, nor did he care any longer as he had matters to attend to. The main question of Kutari’s was answered and he didn’t have any time to play games with an emotional individual that simply wished to be spiteful.
The wraith would ignore the individual’s question as he unlocked his gaze and continued on the road, completely bypassing the man and looking ahead with a few parting words, “I must admit, I didn’t expect to come across a fool like yourself along my travels, at least not one so ignorant. I suggest you stay away from Kumogakure this day unless you wish to meet your demise. Come see me there once you wish to no longer act like a child if you dare, otherwise I won’t be so lenient.” With that he’d continue upon the main road to conquer the village miles ahead, absence of emotion and mind riddled upon the criminal’s face.
