Heading off to a new hopeless future.
Sat Jan 25, 2020 11:21 pm
Taichi emerged from the ground, exhausted from his fight with the guy in the clearing. He lost both of his newfound friends/teammates. He had no reason to stay in Fang at this point. He already culled two of their members from his own stupidity, what damage could he do more than that? That was a question that he did not want to have answered. He thought about his options as he stood in his log cabin that he created from his own chakra. Looking at the door that he expanded just so Hiro's summon could walk through it without tearing a hole in the side of his house. He thought of that night with his team fondly, both of them being wonderful people and was honestly was the first night that Taichi enjoyed in what seemed like forever.
He tried to find a sliver of respite in the crushing guilt that he felt, but there was none. He blamed himself, rightfully so for what had happened in that clearing. He killed his own friends due to his stupidity and inexperience. While he may have learned a lot of valuable lessons from the fight with the stranger in the forest, he also knew that he was far to strong for Taichi to even hold a candle to his skills. The team didn't really have a battle plan, Taichi knew that that was going to hinder them in battle. But little did any of them know just how much of a hindrance it was going to turn out to be.
Taichi looked up at the beautiful Fang mountain. He created a balcony on the side of the house just so he could walk out and get a little closer to it. He tried his best to remember this sight, for it may be a long time until he was able to see those gorgeous mountains again. He leaned on the outside wall of his house, taking in the heavenly sight that was Fang mountain. He wondered if he would ever be able to see the people that Elliwood had talked about. The ones that worked at the Chuunin restaurant he was told about that day he was with Elliwood eating fish and talking about their tragic life stories.
Taichi decided to leave his house intact, if he was able to come back, he would at least have a place to stay whenever he got back. He walked out of his house and he placed his hands on the ground. Trees began surrounding the house, providing it a case of trees. The trees were an almost impenetrable wall that surrounded it. Once he felt that his home was going to be safe, he turned his back to the house and he began walking toward the waters.
He turned back around one last time to say good bye to the island one last time. He would not return until he had become a better ninja in combat, and as a teammate. He mourned his friends one last time, before he would attempt to forget them all together. They hadn't known each other long, but he felt a great deal of connection between Hiroaki and himself. He hated how everything happened, he hoped that there was no family he had, by blood or by bond that would be waiting for him to come back.
A tear welled in Taichi's eye as he thought of the would be team that had the potential to do many great things, but it was cut short due to a lot of incompetence and bad decisions. He turned back to the dock and found himself a captain that would be willing to take him to his destination. Taichi climbed aboard the ship. Upon passing the captain, he asked what their destination was. He turned around and faced Taichi and responded, "Kumogakure."
Taichi had never heard of such a place, but he was hoping that it wasn't nearly as long of a boat ride away as the trip from the land of Rivers to the island of Fang. Being curious, he asked the captain how far Kumogakure was from Fang
