Sand in the glass
Sat Feb 01, 2020 11:32 am
Taichi emerged from the ground right in the middle of the village. He looked around saw that not much had changed in the months that he was away. He pondered for a moment where "Stark" may be, or that hyperactive guy he met immediately before leaving Suna for Fang. His thoughts continued to pass through his mind as he walked along the corridors of the Sandy marketplace.
He had memories pass through his mind, memories of the sounds of children as they ran across the marketplace with their mothers hot on their tails. He grinned at the mere thought of what he once was at that age. Running across the marketplace, hiding in the sand trying to get away from mother. The grin turned to a solemn stare as he looked at the current vendors at the market and their wares.
"That place is never coming back, not anytime soon anyway." He would think to himself, grabbing a few blades that were sitting at the table. He looked at the quality of the blades while he remembered the old blacksmith in Fang country that had taught him the ways of the forge. He would always be thankful for that man. The memories then shifted to the night that Hiroaki, the Blacksmith, and Taichi himself worked the night away in the Blacksmith's shop. That was one of the best nights that Taichi had had in a very long time.
He shook his head, trying to get his mind to focus once more. He continued to walk through the roads of Suna until he came across a tavern of sorts. Taichi felt that that was exactly what he needed, so he walked in. Upon entering the building, he saw the bar had plenty of spots to sit. He grabbed himself a stool at the bar and waited for the guy behind the counter to acknowledge him so he could get himself something to drink.

Even in a world where humans can breathe fire it isn’t every day that you see someone just nonchalantly emerge from the ground. That was exactly why seeing it happen in the middle of the rogue infested remains of Sunagakure surprised even Kai. The day had started off rather normal, with the former Konoha shinobi waking up and patrolling the city. No one seemed to be making trouble for once, which had been surprising considering the food stores were running low and the people were getting restless. Hopefully the Demon’s plans to turn this into a haven for the strong would progress soon and growing malcontent would begin to disappear. Until then, though, it seemed Kai had something new to entertain himself with.
Calmly moving forward from the wall of a nearby building he had been leaning up against, the Uchiha would approach this newcomer. ”Hey! Who are you and what are you doing here?” The man had a strong presence, and judging from how he had appeared, knew some strange high level techniques. Not being built for straightforward conflict due to his past, Kai was uncertain of the possible outcome of any confrontation with the stranger, should it come to that. Hopefully his worries would be for nothing though.

Taichi was nearing the tavern, or at least, what he had hoped was a tavern when he heard footsteps coming up from behind him. He continued to look straight ahead, he wasn't entirely sure who this was that was following him. One thing he did know was if this man was anything like most of the other fiends that riddled the streets of this once great village, the man most likely did not have good intentions. He spoke to his Snow Leopard telepathically, as to not draw attention to her.
Taichi told Honi to drop down to be behind Taichi's new shadow. The moment she dropped down to the ground, being 15 meters away from the stranger's position. Taichi would also flip around and faced his shadow. "What is it you want? I am trying my best to find a damn drink in this dammed place." Taichi would then reach into his jacket and grab a small flask out of his pocket and was just about to put it up to his lips before stopping himself. He reached out to the figure with his flask and would ask him, "Want some? I'm running low and am in desperate need of a refill, but I have just enough to share a swig." He would have the flask held out until the figure would either accept or deny his proposal.

The figure did not accept nor deny his proposal, he instead stood there. After a few minutes, Taichi figured he should just be on his way. He called to Honi and the two walked down the road a little farther to the tavern to fill his flask. When he was done in the tavern, he headed off to the village gates for the child was waiting for him.
