Re: Leaving with a friend, and a charge

While Taichi and Kenshin spoke to one another, Honi could not seem to control herself. The darkness that did fill Kenshin was bothering her and she could not help but to growl at him. She looked over to Taichi as Kenshin slowly approached her with his hand stretched out to meet her face. Taichi chuckled and reassured Honi, "Don't worry girl. This is a friend, not an enemy. Not to mention he could easily rip you to pieces if he so felt inclined. With this one near you, you are safe Honi." Upon hearing his words, Honi would change her demeanor. Taichi picked Sozin off of the back of the majestic creature and she would leap towards Kenshin nuzzling her face against his side and licking the hand that he had reached out to meet her. Taichi smiled at the sight of his familiar getting along with one of the strongest, if not the strongest ninja on the face of the continent.
Kenshin instructed that permission was not required to leave the village and Taichi was very interested to this fact. While this was certainly not your typical village, he was sure that Kenshin would like to at least know who was entering and leaving the husk in the sand. Taichi nodded toward the boy and reassured him once again. "Kenshin plans on bringing a new life to this old village's husk, a different life to be sure, but life nonetheless. When he completes his plans, we will return to this place to continue your training. Hopefully by then, both of us will have learned plenty on our travels along the roads of this world, but only time will tell." Taichi then stood straight up and he turned his attention back to Kenshin who would still being bombarded by the warm affection of Taichi's mighty killer.
"Well Kenshin, I think we are going to explore this continent and see what there is to see. I know you will succeed in your goals of making this place even better than what it was before. Upon that day coming to pass, or if you ever need me." Taichi would stretch out his hand to shake Kenshin's. "I'll always be available, and I'm pretty sure you have your ways of getting in touch with those that you wish to get a hold of. I look forward to that day." Once Kenshin either shook his hand, or shrugged him off like the last time, he would take Sozin and place him on the back of Honi once again and he would motion for the group to hit the road, ready for a life full of adventure.

Sozin gave the his Lion buddy a hud around the neck as she began to make her way out of the gates. Sozin looks backwards and watched as the gate and walls of the village began to get smaller and smaller. Sozin was honest with himself, he wasn't going to miss the barren wastelands of Suna. The sooner he got out of the desert the better. Hopefully their next stop will be somewhere, more comfortable.

Kenshin would watch in light interest as Taichi managed to calm the growling lion with little more than words, implying that the creature not only understood the meaning behind the words themselves, but also trusted The Young Uchiha enough to actually believe what he was saying. He pondered curiously as he lightly stroked the fur of the admittedly beautiful creature, all the while keeping his ear trained on what Taichi was relaying to Sozin, of the future plans of The Reaper and how they affected both the two of them, and Sungakure as a whole. How the two of them would return here once new life had been injected into the existing husk, something that he truly couldn’t blame them for… as it was now the village was stagnant, but that was simply due to the fact that he had yet to TRULY begin rebuilding it, and turning it into a true force to be reckoned with. Taichi had a great deal of potential, so much so that one day he may actually extend the young man an offer to truly work with him, to take him from a simple asset to a true ally, something that very few could truly call themselves nowadays. Whether his charge was extended the same offer depended on his own will, and just how well Taichi managed to train him before their return.
The Drunkard noticed the rather major blunder that Taichi had made, referring to him by his true name whilst he was in the guise of Stark… but he didn’t care much, the only people within the area were the three of them, and it wasn’t as though either of the two of them would be spreading that knowledge in the future… their lives would be cut quite short if they did. When the Uchiha extended his hand to Kenshin he would simply chuckle as his grip met the other mans… and unknown to the man such an action signified quite a bit. He did not allow others to touch him unless he held a great deal of trust in them… enough trust to actually stake his life on, but not necessarily meaning that he actually trusted them enough to put his life in their hands, just enough to trust that they weren’t actively attempting to kill him. Interestingly enough, he didn’t even trust some of his former allies that much… he would never have allowed Alice to touch him in such a manner for sure… that little wretch would have stabbed him in the back the moment that she was certain she had enough power to actually survive the attempt.
“I will be watching your growth with great interest Taichi, and rest assured I will contact you one day, when I feel you have grown both more powerful and mindful of the world as a whole. As you said… I have my ways.” The Raggedy Man would say with a small smirk upon his face, his words sealing their silent pact.
With that, he would watch as The Strange Uchiha picked up the child and placed him upon the back of the majestic beast that seemed allied with him, and they would begin to walk their way through the split in the natural desert walling that defended Sunagakure. Whether the two of them returned at all was the question, either due to their own choices from this point forth, or whether their journey was cut short in the most brutal of ways. Either way though it would be an interesting tale to see unfold, and it was one that Kenshin would be keeping a rather close eye upon whenever he got the opportunity to do so.
In the end he knew there was one simple truth of this accursed world… you were either killed before your tale could truly be written, consumed by the darkness like countless others, or you became one of the rare few that actually managed to harness said darkness and turn it into power. There were, of course, exceptions to every rule, but those were extremely few and far between… but only time would tell what Taichi’s story ended up becoming. Would Taichi’s tale end unfinished like that of Mo-ri or Toshizou? A tragedy like that of Akio or Kotetsu? The tale of a brave and kind soul trapped in this cursed world like Akihana or Hikari? The story of a boy consumed by his own darkness and rage like Valen and… well, in the end there were countless possibilities that laid before them, and from this point forth their tale was their own.
