Bunny Murders {B-Rank Closed to Invited}

Mission

Rumors was spreading like a wild fire about the benefits of augment materials and the new missions that allowed to you claim a piece as a reward. New possibilities was grasping their way into the minds of crafters and blacksmiths as each particular augment fragment held it's own special properties that could be added to an item or weapon of choice. Akira still yet to acquire herself the metal knuckles to aid in her hand to hand combate prowess, but she was slowly inching her way closer to them. And these new changes would definitely come in handy for her to grow even stronger.

Today the red haired kunoichi allowed her blonde familiar to decide on what mission they would take down for the day. After reading off the different options to the attentive fox, Pyro let out a little chime of yips at the mention of bunny hunting. So that settled it, bunny hunting it is. Akira received the mission parchemt for the augmentation mission and thought of how they was going to achieve getting enough bunnies to call it a day. The thought of slaughtering alot of soft little precious bunny hops wasn't enough to disturb her, but she couldn't help to desire keeping at least one of them as a pet. Either way her fox would be in for a free meal.

Akira bombarded her two other teammates with invitations to join her on this mission if they so desired to. It had been a bit since she last encounter them and hoped they haven't already forgotten about her. If so. . . she was gunna refresh their memories real good. The mission was also open for anyone interested into the last open spot, to join the party of fluffy bunny murders.

How was it that Asahi ended up with a mission involving bunnies? Did he used to be a rabbit in his past life or did he just have some weird ability that attracts animals? Both his first as his second mission had a dog in it and now bunnies? Sure, it didn't sound too dangerous but he hoped not all of his assignments were going to be revolved around animals alone. Anyway, trying to think positive he figured he would at least make some decent amount of ryo. And if it meant not putting his life on the line, all the better. 

Not sure how he would feel about hunting and killing little bunnies the scarred Meijin was making his way to wherever he was supposed to execute the task. Asahi didn't mean to sound cruel but he had acquired a couple of new techniques he could potentially test on the rabbits. "On second thought, that might be a little too much." As he said that out loud he was already walking through the streets of the village. With the invitation in his hands the Meijin started to wonder about all the different things he could do with some rabbit fur.

As he was paying attention to his surroundings there was one individual that stood out from the croud. In front of him, a red haired kunoichi holding the same piece of paper as Asahi, which could only mean one thing. She was one of the other shinobi tasked with catching bunnies. Only one problem, he had no idea how to make contact with other people, let alone a woman. Lately his social skills improved thanks to hanging out with Snow and Saizou but still, this time it was a girl. How was he supposed to act around them, of course he knew he couldn't just act like he does with the Yuki and the Uchiha.

"Here goes nothing", almost a sigh escaping his mouth as he walked towards her. "Ehm, hi? Could it be that you're also assigned to the bunny mission?" Upon closer inspection and staring at her with his golden eyes he noticed how red her hair really was. With her scarlet hair she reminded him of a fox, and he wasn't sure if that would prove to be positive or not. One thing he knew for sure, she looked quite the troublemaker. His eyes not wandering away from her hair he waited for her response.

Was the annoying sound of Sai door being knocked on. Sai didnt feel like answering his door at the moment, he had a long and sleepless night. He was only able to sleep about four hours and the last thing he wanted to do was talk to someone. Sai took a deep breath and released it before pushing his blanket off of him. He wasent sure what time of day it was and it didnt matter, he had nothing to do today besides some training. When Sai got up it had been only five or so minutes after the person stop knocking on his door. He could see a letter sticking out of his door, to his surprise it was from his team mate Akira. A smile went across Sai face as he read the letter that she had left for him, it had been a while since the last time they had seen each other.

Sai wasted no time in getting ready, as he didnt want to be late to see his team. He knew Snow had to of gotten the same letter that he had , and he refuse to let him beat him to the meeting spot. He did the stuff needed to get ready and headed out his home. He still wasent to sure of the time, making him want to invest in a watch of some sort. Sai had a tendency to be the last one to something and that wasent always a good look on his behalf. It could be a day when Sai is needed and he could be to late, all because he didnt know the time of day

Sai quickly made his way to the meeting spot, hoping not to be last. To his surprise Asahi was there before him, waiting with Akira. Sai quicken his pace,"AKIRAA, long time no see", Sai said in a extremely excited tone. He had missed his team mate and wanted to take advantage of the time they got together. Sai wasent trying to be rude to Asahi by not acknowledging him, he was just cought up in the moment. As he got with in talking distance, he walked over to Asahi and put his arm around him. "Be careful around my team mate she a dangerous one", Sai said with a smile.

He looked around noticing Snow wasent there yet. In his head he high fived himself, happy that he had beat his buddy there.

Snow was in the midst of his new routine. Try to sleep all night, don't sleep a bit. Get up and go to the training grounds. He was currently there, thinking about all of the things that had been happening to him. How many people he had injured or hurt from his flashbacks and hallucinations. Even the new shinobi, Asahi, the scarred one. He had tried to strangle him thinking he was the same man that he thought his teammate Akira was. Snow was going through a downward spiral with no real end in sight, or in store. He was in the training grounds, honing his control over his ice nature when suddenly a memory popped into his mind. 

He remembered that he was supposed to go with his team to head into the forests so they could begin gathering rabbit hides and feet. Snow did remember quite a few game trails that ran along the outside of the village, a few that he already had traps set up that he needed to check. He figured that would actually cut their time down in this mission due to Snow already having the rabbits they needed. He picked up his backpack and he started toward the meeting point that they had arranged to depart from. 

He was hoping that this would be a relaxing enough mission that he wouldn't have to worry about having another one of his mental breakdowns or hallucinations. This was going to be a nice trip out into the forests with his friends, doing the same thing that he had been doing for years. Trapping rabbits, and gathering herbs and spices. 

When he reached the meeting point, he saw the entire team was already there. He even saw Asahi, the same ninja who he was just remembering trying to strangle in the blacksmith's home. Snow walked up to the group and he also saw Akira. Happy to see his teammate, he looked at her like he once did normally, his smile wide and his eyes warm and soft. Lately his demeanor had turned into more of a facade as his mind went farther and farther into turmoil and entropy. "Hello, Akira. I am so happy to see you again." Snow then looked at Asahi. "I am truly sorry again and hope that we can still work together." Snow put his hand out, as a sign of peace between he and Asahi. He would hold out his hand, waiting patiently for Asahi to either accept or reject his offering of peace for what he had done in their previous mission.

As the red haired kunoichi wa looking over the mission parchemt one last time when she heared a voice that broke through her concentration. Her eyes wandered upwards towards the direction of the voice with a blank expression, as of she was clueless for a moment. Then two second ticked by before it dawned on her. The unfamiliar face was curious about the mission and there was definitely room for one more. She would let out a little laugh before sticking her tongue out in a teasing manner. "Definitely am! Are you interested in going on an adventure with me?" Akira's flirtatious remark came out as smooth as butter.  As she voiced her words with a foxy slur, even proceeding to wink at the end of her question.

It was then that the kunoichi's little game was interrupted by one of her teammate's Sai. It had been a while since they had seen each other and the little she - vixen felt a little touched that she was missed by her team. Sai proceeded to relax his arm around the stranger that she had just been teasing, while expressing that she was dangerous. By the friendly gesture provoked between the two, it was no doubt that they knew each other well. "I'm not really dangerousss~ Just a little bit of a pervert." Akira's words purred out as she wiggled her fingers in a taunting maneuver. The last to show up was Snjor. . Akira couldn't help but wonder how he was doing. It had been some time since they all last need each other, and there was a time that Snjor seemed off. She had some catching up to do here soon. By the way he had to try and reassure himself with the guy possessing the unfamiliar face. . no doubt something had occurred.

For a moment it seemed almost as if the red haired kunoichi was lost in her own thoughts as it took her a couple of seconds before she would respond to Asahi. A sudden shift in the young woman's personality the moment she opened her mouth and answered the scarred Meijin. More flirtatious and playful than he had expected the redhead countered with a question of her own. Surprised by what she said he couldn't help but notice it had put a little smile on his face. "I guess it depends on what you're offering." Not knowing he was capable of talking like that Asahi responded with a teasing smirk on his face, thinking this young woman seemed rather entertaining. "You seem like fun" he'd tease her once more before they were joined by a familiar face.

Joining them was Sai. The Uchiha putting his arm around Asahi while greeting the kunoichi gave away that the two of them already knew each other. He warned the Meijin for her, claiming that she's quite the dangerous one to which the red haired girl responded with yet another interesting remark. "I guess we'll have to find out, won't we?" The scarred shinobi was enjoying the atmosphere between the three of them and they hadn't even started their mission. But that moment wouldn't last for long with the arrival of a fourth person, Snow.

The Yuki responsible for trying to strangle Asahi during one of their last missions. At first the Meijin would avoid any eye contact since it was rather awkward meeting him so soon after the events that took place. It wasn't as much anger that he felt but rather disappointment. Asahi had to come from far to be where he was right now. Lacking in social skills, struggling to open up to others and the moment he thought he had grown closer he was betrayed by someone he considered a friend. It was another emotion he didn't know how to cope with. 

Probably aware of how Asahi felt, the Yuki started to apologize for what happened while holding out his hand as a peace offering. It was up to him to decide whether or not he would accept the gesture. Deep down inside he knew all too well it wasn't Snow's intention to hurt and attack him. No, there was something hidden inside the Yuki that caused him to lose control. And to that he would be able to relate. He knew better than anyone how it felt to be haunted by his past but he was trying to move on and step by step he was able to. And for that reason the scarred Meijin accepted Snow's hand. "Let bygones be bygones. Let's start working on our future, together."

"You just seen the tip of the ice berg with ole Snow here, the longer your around this odd bunch the more your realize what i mean", Sai said jokingly as he step away from Asahi. He knew Snow and Asahi had some words they might want to exchanged and Sai didnt want to be around for it. He wasent for the sentimental apologizes and such. Sai looked over at Akira, knowing she didnt have a clue about what had transpired between Asahi and Snow on their last mission together. Sai didnt feel that it was his place to tell what had happened, so he didnt ask Akira to join him as he made his way towards the forest. He rather let her find out on her own from Asahi and Snow. 

Sai walked towards the forest , hoping to get a head start on catching the rabbits. He wanted to be done by the time eceryone else was finish their mush moment. Sai had never hunted for rabbits in these forest before, so he didnt have a clue on where to look. Luckly for him he didnt have to look far, he could easily see what had looked like rabbit tracks not to far from where he was standing. Sai finaly felt like his luck was turning around after all this time of not having any. He walked over to the tracks in exciment, knowing he was getting his part of this mission over with quickyl. He didnt have to follow the tracks that far into the forst when he had seen two rabbits not far from one another. Sai would sneak up behind a tree, before sticking head from around the edge of the tree. 

Luckly for him the bunnies made direct eye contact with him, placeing them both under a genjutsu. Sai smiled as he wasted no time in collecting the rabbits. He eneded their life and placed them in a bag he brought with him. Sai then would body flicker out of the area, on his way to collect his reward for a mission complete. Sai was happy that he would be one of the first to complete this mission, especilally since he beat the rest of his team to the punch. He was upset that he didnt spend more time around Akira , since it had been a while since he had seen her.

The scarred shinobi accepted Snow's sincere apology and they both agreed to work on the future, together. Snow nodded and shook his comrades hand. He needed to figure out what he could do with his current state. He had far too many outbursts as it was, even trying to kill the other Yuki that lived within the village, Yoi Yuki. These outbursts were beginning to get more and more dangerous as his power and skill increased at the same time. Much thought had been dedicated to figuring out what he could do to heal from his mother's death and the trauma that came from it, but no answers would result from the pondering. He learned that he needed to accept what he had done to Asahi, performing an action that could have very well lead to his death. 

The group then headed off into the forests to begin collecting rabbits. As the group entered into the forest, he lead the group to a few of his gaming trails and trap sites. The game trails were extremely busy during this time of the year, so he was hopeful, but also had a slight sense of confidence in all of his traps being successful. As they passed by one of the large rivers that surrounded the leaf village, he began hearing the thumping on the ground. The rabbits were certainly near, he stopped his team for just a second. "That thumping is how the hares and rabbits speak to one another, they know we are here." Snow would whisper to his team. Sai was able to grab a few of the rabbits that were nearby. They continued to Snow's trap sites. Luckily for him, all of his traps had a rabbit caught inside, with the trap being sucessful in killing each one of them. He loosened the rope and pulled the rabbits out of the traps and handed each of his team members a rabbit. With a slight smile, he would join them in their quests to find any more rabbits if they so desired, but if not, then he would return to the village. Maybe some extra training will get his mind off of things.

"Oh you wanna find out do ya~ Just to let you know, I'm not one to disappoint." The woman teased at the new face one last time. She had yet to still receive him name, realizing that none of her teammates mentioned it yet. So she decided to make it into a game of sorts for later. After a quick glance around there was definitely some tension within the three in general. She wondered to herself on how much she could have possibly missed. She knew that Snjor had seemed to be down more and more lately. Was it possible for him to have those trauma flashbacks more than once? If so that could be dangerous, although dangerous never really scared Akira away that easily. There was still no telling what kind of impact it could leave on someone else.

Out from behind her bounced the blonde familiar who had helped pick out the mission. Pyro bounced her way towards the Snjor and pounced into his arms. Hoping that he would react in time to catch her fuzzy form. "After we are done. . we should all meet up sometime soon." The red haired was walking away towards the wooded part of Konohagakure. She followed in suit with Sai, seeing as he was attempting some space for the new face and Snjor. Not knowing what to do next, she just followed with. After Pyro greeted Snjor the way she did, the fox would pounce from him and head back towards Akira. Desperate to sink her jaws into a juice meal.

In the end Snjor had already been prepared for this mission and had a bundle of rabbits already caught. She was a little amazed for this lessened their work before they even started. Still Akira took the time to at least catch a few more so that she didn't feel empty handed. She managed to strike one down with a blow of a kunai to the back of the neck. Akira retrieved her kunai and cleaned the blade along the fuzz of the limp rabbit's fur. Her fox familiar came prancing up with one between her canines. Throwing her head back in triumph as she tossed around her limp bunny. Akira gave her the permission to claim that bunny as her own and Pyro went off to enjoy her bunny carcass after the red haired woman managed to skin the hide off of it first. The fur was so delicate and easy to tear. Now that the mission was over and she had a few hides hanging from her waist, Akora would be ready to turn in the mission. She didn't get the time to bombard the new face too much, but hopefully he'll take her offer of meeting up with the rest of the group. |Exit|

After everything had been talked out between the two of them both Snow and Asahi would follow the red haired kunoichi and Sai to the forest where they could officially begin their mission. Once they had entered the forest Snow would lead them to a few of his gaming trails and trap sites. All of his traps had a rabbit caught inside, having killed each and every single one of them. The Yuki then handed each of his team members a rabbit. Asahi was glad to see how well prepared Snow was and accepted one of those rabbits. But the young Meijin wasn't satisfied just yet as he wanted to catch at least some bunnies himself.

The scarred shinobi expected there would still be a couple of rabbits left so he decided to look around and hopefully be able to snatch some fur. What better way to try out some of his new attained techniques by catching some rabbits? He distanced himself quite a bit to make sure no one from his team would get caught up into any of his moves. Asahi would start by forming a 2 meter long whip of flames in one of his hands. He would then aim at the bunnies as he took out every single one of them with his whip of flames. Careful not to damage them too much so he could get their fur.

Moving on the scarred Meijin saw it fit to test out one of his other new techniques, Exploding Flame Shot. Exhaling fire from his mouth followed up by shooting and throwing it towards his targets. He would then create a spark with his chakra in his hands to throw it at the rabbits. Small compact balls of flame that would explode on contact or spread and linger on the point of impact much like napalm throughout a 2.5 meter radius. Once again taking out all of his targets, yet careful enough not to damage the rabbit fur.

Collecting each and every single piece of fur he could find, Asahi would then join the others. Once they had regrouped he would notice all of them were able to get multiple pieces of rabbit fur. That would be the signal to return to the village to collect their mission rewards.
