Aroma's little break to appreciate the scenery of Kumogakure's hot spring, ended up having some undesirable turn of events. Despite her working so hard to train herself for the upcoming exams. The kunoichi would have only been rewarded with unruling threats and a random attack upon her little encounter with the unique twins. After this display of misunderstanding assumptions of them just merely defending themselves against what seemed to be a false perception of a fellow shinobi, lacking any visual display of a Kumogakure headband and approaching with hostile words and actions. The lavender haired woman couldn't help but feel a little at unease.
No doubt it would be frowned upon if these false assumptions was to make their way to the ears of a higher up. And the fact that the other stranger involved had stated even more threats, as if they hadn't had enough of those already, Aroma wanted to get to the bottom of this. She wasn't the type to sit passively and allow others to walk all over her. She didn't feel comfortable with the idea that she had to watch her back for enemies within the walls of her home village. If someone wanted to target her or the twins so badly then so be it, but they can do so with the false accusations being cleared up.
Before anything else got out of hand, Aroma asked for a higher audience that she could report to. Then made her way towards the location to discuss the matters with an advised officer. All she sought was to report the attack to the officers and receive what ever advice they could give to her or the twins on what to do about the other enraged shinobi named Rayul. The anger she had felt towards the received threats had already simmered down, and Aroma was now in a much more appropriate mind set. She wore her same outfit from the hot spring, along with her usual eye bindings. It wouldn't take long for her to reach the destination, wondering if either of the twins would receive her notice about discussing the events along with her. To at least close up the loose ends of the confusion.

The boys hadn’t had as much time as they would have liked to try and come to grips with what had happened earlier that night. They had fought someone who seemed to be toying with them, attacking them out of the blue, claiming to be a missing nin, and as far as they knew, really was one. They had defeated him somehow, and moments later a very angry shinobi from Kumogakure had threatened them. They had possibly puzzled out some of it, though they didn’t know if what they had come up with was anywhere near the truth. If their attacker had been from Kumo, and that man that appeared only saw his friend on the ground, not seeing what had led up to it, they could understand the anger. But it wasn’t their fault. They hadn’t done anything wrong. They were still trying to piece all of this together, when they noticed a slip of paper by the door. They walked over and opened it. They hesitantly unfolded it and found that they had received a request to come to a meeting about what had happened. There was a name on it, but they didn’t recognize it.
They exited their home and headed toward the office the summons had directed them too. Their emotions were still frayed, and they couldn’t seem to settle on one. They felt indignant toward the shinobi who had yelled at them, and they knew they weren’t at fault, but what if they had killed a fellow Kumo shinobi? Even if it wasn’t intentional, and they were justified in their actions based on the situation, they weren’t sure if they could live with that. They feared what was about to happen, whether they were walking into some sort of trial. They didn’t know if the girl that had witnessed everything would be there. They thought on the name signed on the bottom of the note, it had seemed feminine. Maybe it was her? Still they didn’t know, and if she wasn’t there it would just be their word against… who’s? If that boy had died… tears welled up in their eyes as they reached the indicated office. The boys looked at each other, Masaru was fused into Katsu, with only his head poking up out of his right shoulder. An arm grew out from Katsu’s side and they each wiped the forming tears away. Katsu reached for the door, his hand trembling. Masaru reached out steadying his brother’s hand. Together, they turned the door knob and stepped into the office.

How long had it been since he had enjoyed a good night’s sleep? He couldn’t tell. Night and day barely meant anything anymore, other than how much light one might enjoy outside the comforting walls of the various buildings Kaito hung around. The Kage’s office. His house. Hashida’s ramen shop. Ayami’s girls house. Actually, it would almost always be night whenever Kaito found himself in Ayami’s girls house. None of it mattered though. As much as the girls there were made out of softest whimper of satisfaction of a dream, Kaito’s sleep time came and went in between the blinking of his eyes. He would enjoy a couple of hours here and there, once or twice being able to snooze through an entire afternoon, but he no longer dreamt. He would close his eyes, open them again, and the amount of light seeping in through the windows differ in angle and intensity from when he had closed them. He couldn’t tell if it was a blessing or a curse.
In between his missions, leading the team, patrolling the streets and effectively trying to bring cohesion to a fractured Kumogakure, he had taken to read files he was not privy to before. Previous conquests, previous conquerors, anything that was not redacted and reserved for the top brass, but that could be accessed by anyone sporting the typical beige Kumogakurian one sleeve flak vest, which Kaito always wore on top of his leather jacket. His leather jacket which had looked so nice when he started this adventure, and now sported all the wrinkles and crinkles of a weathered jacket, looking decades old for a year old jacket. But Kaito seldom had the time to take it off and relax, consumed as he was with learning of the Kumogakure’s strengths, weaknesses, its allies and enemies. And all he could read painted a bleak and bleaker picture, intensifying the discomfort Kaito felt at the pit of his stomach, a dreadful sensation that permeated his lower abdomen and made his breath shallow.
The tales of Kenshin Uzumaki were nothing short of the concentrated extract of countless nightmares of fathers and mothers, brothers and sisters, warriors and priests. If terror had a face, Kenshin would be one of it’s many faces. His name showed up more than once in the reports and Kaito was afraid he would show up again to terrorize him some more. Luckily, he could only haunt his waking hours.
He no longer dreamt.
A blessing.
DIstracted as he might’ve been while reading the latest incident report though, he was remarkably alert, listening for any and all sound vibrating off the walls of the mission board office he occupied, the icy fingers of paranoia creeping up his spine and playing every nerve as though they were a guitar, always wondering when the next sound would announce an invasion by one of these great monsters. Instead, it would appear the monsters were inside his walls all along. Kaito didn’t mind this information as much back when he was confident in himself without knowing how much he lacked in the ways of defending himself; it appeared he had crossed the threshold in which one starts to realize the areas in which they are deficient, and all confidence in the abilities they had slowly waver. But for now, all noise he captured appeared to be from someone just outside his office. Kaito took deep breaths, half calming himself down, half oxygenating his body in case one of those monsters walked outside his office walls to enbattle the jonin. He sank into his chair, relaxing into a state of violence, primordial and unreasonable, when the door opened and a kid with two heads and three arms looked at him from the other side, teary eyed. Kaito raised his hand, and with an open palm, offered to him the seat in front of him, across the desk. “Welcome, Katsu, Masuru. Please, take a seat.”
From the reports, Kaito had been able to establish a barebones account of the situation: Aroma Viperis and the Twins had been by the hot water springs when Ghost SinnSage Hyuuga attacked them, and was beaten by the twins. While no direct claim was made against Ghost, he had been saved by Rayul, who had taken him in into the hospital earlier this morning. Nothing new for genin to attack each other in the Kumogakure, however, Ghost did not have his headband on when he was logged into the hospital. A troublesome situation. He would wait for Aroma, who he would offer the other of three seats (he wasn’t sure how the twins would want to seat), before beginning the meeting. “Who wants to start and tell me tic for tac what happened?”

The soles of her mid - thigh boots clucked softly against the steps that lead to the specific office, in which she had been adviced to discuss the situation with an officer. The sounds of her footsteps was incredibly distinctive to the commonly phantom steps of any ninja who knew to travel silently. Aroma was unsure what to expect during the audience with the higher up, although she was sure that there wasn't much to worry about. As long as she didn't literally have a potential death mark over Katsu or her's head. And if she did, then she wasn't going to cower with her tail between her legs like a frighten dog underneath Rayul's threats. Aroma felt her shoulders pull back as she began to regain her confidence, and her posture moved back into the unfazed viperess shinobi that she was meant to be.
Aroma stood at the door of the office, inhaling a breath of air to relax herself, before entering through the door. Upon entrance she took in the current situation. The twins, Katsu and Masaru, was already there for the current discussion at hand. Along with a man that she had never been introduced to as of yet. From his posture; the lavender haired Viperis could tell that even though she had never properly met this red - haired shinobi, he looked as if he knew alot about everyone and everything that happened within the Village's walls. There was no doubt that he knew alot more about the genin who was displayed before him as of right now, when this was their first time actually having a proper encounter. As the Viperis and the twins was offered a seat from the three that was positioned in front of his desk, Aroma would casually make her way to her chosen chair at the far left. Making sure to allow two seats side by side for the two twins, depending on how they was to sit.
The lavender haired kunoichi lowered herself into the chair, as her hands delicately ran down the length of her dress skirt upon settling into the offered chair. Displaying manners of a woman as to make sure she didn't expose herself in any improper way. Aroma maintained her straight posture as she sat attentive towards the man, her right leg crossing over onto her left as she allowed herself to get a little comfortable. As the twins and her was offered seats, that was when the discussion began to take place. The man addressed them with someone beginning to explain in detail on what had taken place during the events. With this Aroma would turn her attention towards the twins. Even though one would have difficulty knowing what her attention was placed upon from behind her black eye bindings that tied around her head, she was sure that Katsu would see that she was giving him the space to begin explaining the events. It was the twins who had mainly been effected in this situation. Possibly being slightly emotionally traumatized by being unfairly accused of attempt in violence and threatened without any justified reasoning. Threats could be pushed off yes, but the twins was young and didn't deserve to be targets for harsh words from either of the individuals.

As the boys entered the room, they stopped, not sure what to expect. They saw a man lounging relaxed behind the desk, but something about him just felt wrong. Maybe it was their budding talent as shinobi, but he just felt dangerous. They weren’t sure exactly what it was, it certainly wasn’t his posture or his movements which were none threatening, even his voice was calm. Yet that feeling of unease didn’t leave them as they stepped further into the room, following the man’s directions and taking a seat on the far right chair. In another situation it might not have bothered them so much, but at the moment they didn’t know if he might be an enemy. After the events from earlier, they weren’t very sure of anything.
The boys unease continued, not sure if they should say anything. They didn’t know what this was about yet. They certainly knew it was in relation to earlier, but they had no idea what the man before them might be thinking. Katsu began to fidget, his hands not sure what they should be doing as he sat in the chair upright. His brother, also not sure what to do in the situation let his arm slowly phase back into his brother, disappearing from view and leaving just his head visible. He considered ducking his head in so he didn’t have to face this man, but he knew he couldn’t leave his brother to do this alone.
Katsu continued to fidget, ringing his hands, and moving between sitting straight and leaning back a bit. He almost spoke a few times as the silence seemed to stretch unendingly though it had likely not even lasted a minute. Just before he couldn’t take it anymore, footsteps rang out in the corridor outside, the boys heads turning to the sound. Moments later the girl from earlier stepped in. He didn’t know her, they hadn’t even gotten her name. They had barely had a chance to speak before they were attacked, but both boys felt a sense of relief wash over them at the sight of her nonetheless. They weren’t alone anymore, well as alone as two boys could be anyway.
They heard the man speak again as the girl took the seat on the far left, leaving a space between them. They didn’t really like the space, as if maybe she was trying to keep her distance from them if something went wrong here. But they didn’t have time to dwell on it. The man had spoken again, and asked about the incident that had occurred earlier that night. Briefly, ever so briefly, Katsu’s immaturity almost took over and he nearly said toe, but the thought was fleeting and he knew that now wasn’t the time for levity.
He glanced briefly at the girl, who seemed to be waiting for him to start. Gathering up what courage he could he started to talk. “Well I was wandering around the city, not really paying attention to where I was going. I think Masaru was asleep. I didn’t notice it, and I stepped into a hot spring.”
Masaru made a sound, and Katsu looked to him, realizing his brother was telling him that wasn’t important. Masaru then took over, a slight waver in his voice as he did so. “We met her.” He nodded slightly in the girls direction, “Then we heard someone yell out a water jutsu. A dense fog suddenly rolled in, followed by a voice saying something about eyes and that he wondered if Kumo shinobi were strong.” He looked to Katsu for confirmation, his brother nodding and then quickly adding “And a dark shadow, and evil laughter.”
Masaru took back over after that, trying to focus more on the highlights, as he figured the man before them would ask for details and the girl would also have things to say if they missed anything. “Anyway when he said that, we got scared since it sounded like he was from somewhere else.” Katsu glanced at the girl, wondering if they were missing anything. He knew there had been more, but he couldn’t remember what else the man had said, everything had happened so fast. Masaru had continued to talk, “When he was talking we fired off some jutsu in his direction, and he threw some kinda sharp ice things at us.”
It was clear Masaru was struggling, so Katsu picked up the thread. “We still couldn’t see, so we charged in the direction of his voice, and when we got there he launched some kinda attack at us. I barely managed to block it, but it still messed with my chakra. Then Masaru saved me by hitting him in the stomach.” Masaru shook his head, “Liver. I was scared and he was coming at us, so I hit him as hard as I could, he went down. Then someone else appeared. He seemed mad, and he was from Kumo and and.” His voice got a little desperate sounding at the end, and he stopped, not sure how to express the things they were feeling, or if they even should say anything else.

The watery eyed boys stood within the same body beholding Kaito; he could tell the recent attack had left them scarred, not knowing if they’d be able to trust someone they had just met out of the blue. How ironic, that they’d eye Kaito suspiciously just as Kaito sat ready to engage in mortal combat if the need arose. Truly, they were starting to shape up to become proper ninjas. They took the seat Kaito offered to his left, and within moments, the lavender haired lass joined them, and took the seat on the far opposite side. The empty seat in between them offered the twin duo the opportunity to split should they wish, but Kaito could feel the discomfort squirming within the twins, as if a new goofy twin was ready to emerge in between the disgruntled lads. The lass faced the duo, and they started telling their tale. It was clear each had their own personality, nothing new to all except Kaito who had never seen twins, bloodlined or not. They would weave their narrative carefully, one leading it into focus whenever it was led astray by the other. Kaito was interested in getting to know them, but had no time. Not now.
While the twins tried their best to relay the story, it appeared they might have a panic attack at any second. Kaito would once again raise his hand at them. “Breath, take your time.” He had had time to read their files when the case dropped in in the morning, however, their psychological profiles were redacted and privy only to higher brass. He knew their names, their lineage, their rank and other miscellaneous information. The twins were interesting from just that, but so was the lass. Older than the twins and an adult to be sure, but in the eyes of Kaito, her twenty years of age made her a kid. Nevertheless, he expected her to be interesting in her own regard, after all, people with magical eyes have a tendency to be rather interesting people, a natural consequence of descending from those who would hunt them for the capacities of their doujutsus. He shifted his attention to the long haired Viperis lass. “You’re awfully quiet. Do you have anything to add? Perhaps a description of the attacker, or this individual who save him?”

As Aroma sat within her chair, one leg over the other, she would tilt her head at a slight angle. Allowing herself to continue to watch as the twins struggled to keep themselves together. Both Katsu and Masaru did their best to recite everything that had taken place during the events at the hot spring. They did well continuing one after the other as they spoke, not once completely overlapping the other and causing a rumbling of words. As she had thought, the young twins still felt for the battle that they was in. No doubt that they completely blame themselves after the harsh imput, that the one named Rayul had spat out bitterly. Every once and a while during their recall of events, one of the twins would look back at her for some reassurance on their words. This caused the woman to nod in return for some encouragement.
After they had finished, the attention of the red haired man at the desk shifted towards her. Realizing that it was her turn now to join in on the discussion. She was quiet about it yes, for she doesn't like allowing herself to fear situations like these. More or less she had actually felt anger, but she even pushed that emotion down until it no longer existed. A Viperis was not supposed to lash out in overwhelming emotion, especially not in a battle. It could cause blindness in a form that not many would notice. There was just a few things she wanted to settle with these odd events that had occured, and that was when she began to respond to the man's question. "From what I was able to grasp isn't much. During most of the battle there was a mist screen that impaired my vision. I was able to learn that the attacker was a man from the sound of his voice, and he was rather tall at that. When he spoke. . he did not speak as a fellow Kumogakure, but more so rather ruthless in his attempts to insult the twins."
Aroma would pause for a second, as her fingers gently trailed across the arm of the chair she was in. Her attention was now on the man before her. "When the mist was lifted, I was able to visualize that the man had no headband to display his village, unless it was purposely hidden or lost. In my opinion that seems kinda sketchy, especially after the violent behavior." Aroma finished for what she knew about the attacker. She wasn't able to grasp much, just his voice and hardly his appearance. She hadn't been able to see his attacks from within the mist either to be able to pin point what clan he might have been apart of. "As for the man who saved him, he announced himself as Rayul Tunechi. He wasn't happy about the results of the battle between the intruder and the twins. I would just like to be able to speak with this man and clear things up if I was to be honest. Some important events are coming up, and I don't want unjustified threats to be targeted on these young twins when they did their jobs as ninja to defend themselves and me from an unidentifiable attacker."

The boys did as instructed and took a few deep breaths, happy to be done talking, at least for now. The attention of the red haired man soon shifted to the girl. He had nodded at Katsu while they had spoken, and he had appreciated the gesture. Everything had happened so fast that it was difficult to know how much of what they experienced was real instead of just their own perception of events. They listened intently as she spoke, clarifying a bit about what had occured when Rayul had shown up. They knew he had said his name, but honestly neither of them had heard it. They were too busy trying to figure out what was going on, and more importantly, if they had just killed someone.
When she had finished speaking Katsu felt the need to add one last thing since he and his brother had been right there next to the assailant when the mist cleared, and in a panic or not, they had looked at him as they tried to decide what they should do. Missing nin or not, their initial thought had been to pick him up and take him to the hospital. This thought had of course been immediately knocked from their head as Rayul appeared yelling at them. “He was probably about 6 feet tall give or take an inch or two and maybe half again as heavy as we are. 190, 200 pounds?” He posed the question to his brother whose head wavered for a moment, then he made an expression that to Katsu meant, more or less. Whether anyone else could read that, he had no idea. “He had curly hair and…” He thought about the attack that had hit him, open palmed. He had seen someone fighting like that before. Also his ability to see them in the mist. “Hyuuga? Maybe?”
Masaru let out a little breath as what his brother said clicked. It made sense, and he was surprised Katsu came to the conclusion before him. “I think so. He kept talking about his eyes, and Riku fought open palmed like that. I agree. Hyuuga.” After adding that little bit the two stopped, and looked back to the red haired man. Somehow hearing the girl speak of what happened made them feel a little better. Whether things turned out okay or not, at least they hadn’t been completely off base. They hadn’t completely misinterpreted the situation and nearly… nearly? “Is he alive?” They left the question hanging in the air, all other thoughts about what may happen to them forgotten. So much could change with but a single word.

A six feet tall, two hundred pound dumdum, Hyuuga fighter saved by a ferocious angry Rayul Tenuchi spitting promises of payback. Only one person fit that description: Ghost SinnSage Hyuuga. A name as peculiar as the owner was. What was Kaito, his team leader, to do in such a situation? Nothing to do but accept responsibility. "Aye, I know him. I was the one that sent him in secret to test your mettle." Kaito lowered his eyes to his pants pocket, pulling out a pack of cigarettes. He opened it, pulled out a death stick, deftly rolled by the ninja hours earlier, and brought the cotton filter to his lips. He spoke while holding the cigarette between his lips with the destrousness of a seasoned smoker.
"I was going to instruct my team to partake in sparring sessions with the members of the village as a way to learn their strengths and weaknesses." As he spoke he rummaged his pocket for his matches, finally pulling them out of his pocket and scratching the striker pad on the side of it, bringing the lit match to the cigarette and lighting the tip with the help of a drag which drew the flame into the cigarette and helped the initial burn. Whipping his hand twice to extinguish the match, he dropped it into the metallic bin where it let off some smoke before resting peacefully. "And Ghost was going to test this learning system for me.However, it seems he went overboard with his exercise. I never instructed him to hide his headband. These were supposed to be friendly exercises to bolster martial education within the village." All this was a lie, but none were wise to it, so long as Ghost and Rayul could be reached before word went out, all would be well.
"That being said", he said between draggin and blowing a puff of smoke, his cigarette dangling between his index and middle fingers, thumb flicking it lightly to let the ash fall into the bin, "you did rather well for yourselves." He took a final drag before pulling a drawer on the deak where he'd hide his ashtray, then closing the drawer as he exhaled. "But let me tell you three something. Out there, people will hunt you for your genetic gifts. Use this experience, and learn from it. You will be forced into battle in the most unexpected moments, and you will have to fight for your lives. And breaking down into tears won't help your situation either. Toughen up. Learn how to master your emotions, harden your hearts, and if you want to stay alive," he drew a kunai and stuck it on the table with a hard thunk, "stick one of these into their hearts."
He slapped the arms of his chair. "But! You already put my guy in the hospital, and if there's anything Kumo values is strength. So congratulations. You will not be charged with any crime or tried; far as I'm concerned you're proper Kumogakurian ninjas. If that'll be all, I invite you to enjoy the day outside, I gotta leave and handle my hospitalized lad for what he did." He offered them a weary smile, the best he could muster.

Aroma continued to sit and listen as the red haired man went on and explained the situation to them. The light of his match set a small illuminating blaze, that he used to ignite and awaken the end of his cigarette. She doesn't tend to see many that buff on those white cotton tips. No doubt all this type of work causes an overload of stress, so she would make sure to keep things short. Although she still had yet one more question to ask, she didn't know if the man before her had time for silly questions.
After the man completed his exclamation about how Ghost is under his wing, and was informed to test the fellow ninja of Kumogakure. Aroma would be thankful of his words. Hopefully that would mean that there was no ill feelings being targeted amongst the young twins, who was more than innocent in her eyes. It still weary her that he went through the trouble of removing his head band and acting the way he did, but she was confident that his sensei would take care of that. In response to everything Arome would make a stand to her feet while bowing her head to the man before her in a manner of respect for his time. Then as she spoke one last question, the woman announced it in a way to where he hadn't need to answer it as of yet. But sometime in the future. "If I may ask. . the twins and I has yet to be introduced to a sensei. I just wanted to being it up if you ever can help us sometime in the future to have a teacher that can guide our strengths and weaknesses. I was useless during the battle and would like to learn"
