Hemlock with Hinata Part 8

Travin had been in the village for about a week now and it was starting to drive him crazy. All the people busy with whatever they were doing. He needed to get outside of the village for a while and decided to accept a mission to go and get some plants of some kind. He didn’t really even know what they looked like other than the crappy picture that came with the form but figured that it couldn’t be too hard to tell the difference in one flower and the next, or maybe they were weeds. This could be harder than he thought as he hit the road for the destination he didn’t know the location for.

After stopping and asking a few traveling merchants where he was supposed to go one group of them said that he could walk with them that they were going to be going right passed it and would point it out for him. He thanked them for the help and pulled his white cloak up and sat down on the back of the wagon. The merchants didn’t seem to mind and neither did he. After all, he hadn’t eaten breakfast in his boredom and just grabbed another rice ball off the cart outside his building. He figured that he had probably paid for an entire shipment for that cart by now since he mostly just eat theirs. He spent a little bit of time talking to the merchants who mostly wanted to know why he didn’t wear his headband on his head like everyone else. To which he replied that he mostly didn’t like it and it was a free belt that if broken the village would replace for him. The merchants didn’t talk much after that taking him for a bit of a freeloader which was fine for Travin as he rummaged through their stuff while they weren’t looking and took a sucker acting as he pulled it from his pocket. Watermellon he thought to himself as one of the merchants came around the back of the wagon again. “The place is just up here on the right,” he told Travin while pointing. Travin thanked the man and hopped off.

Walking over to the side of the road Travin put his hand up to his forehead to block out the sun. “So what are we looking at here,” he said to himself while scanning the field. He quickly noticed the beauty walking over to a rock to sit on. Well, dam this place just went up a notch in my book he thought to himself. He started to walk down to her when he noticed that she was doing some hand signs he couldn’t tell what they were from the distance though. “Shit,” he said under his breath she’s a shinobi as well continuing his sentence in his head. He wondered how he was going to play this as he didn’t want to come off a fool or someone too cocky. He would mull it over in his head as he walked down the trail to the rock she was sitting on.

He had decided to play the lost tourist bit given a mission. After all, it was mostly true except that he took the mission. “Hey, I don’t mean to disturb you but do you happen to know where this plant grows” he would hold up the form with the picture on it for her to see.

Travin watched the women look at the paper and could tell she knew what it was before he asked. He listened to her tell him what the plant or weed or root he still was not sure was. She then asked him what he wanted with the plant letting him know that she was on a mission to get them as well as possible other shinobi as well. This gave him a second of pause before answering. “I am on a mission to gather these things” he said while sliding his red hair out of his eyes. Normally he would flash some ab muscles while doing so but thought better of it. She was also a shinobi so muscles probably wouldn’t do much here, and figured he should play it safe for now and didn't want to offend her or scare her away he thought to himself. However, now that he was standing next to her he did notice that emblem on her clothing. He was sure he had seen it somewhere but couldn’t place it. Probably something his father told him about when he was younger in their travels or they met at some point.

When she told him where all it grew he felt a sigh of relief wash over his body knowing that at least it was not a rare thing and he could find it easily enough. Then she asked him what his name was to which he replied “The name is Travin Terumi.” she would then go on to ask if he was doing something nefarious while looking him straight in the eyes and giving him a half-smile. Travin looked back into her eyes before scanning her body. It may have looked like he was looking for weapons of some kind, but really he was just admiring her figure sitting there before speaking. “You have the darkest of eyes, and while I didn’t come here to do anything nefarious. I do have to say that you could convince me fairly easy” he would return her half-smile back at her.

Hinata Uchiha was her name and the name Uchiha meant something to him he had heard about the clan in passing, but about all he knew was that they had some crazy eye jutsu or something like that. He was never one to study too much finding it boring and he really hated to be confined to a library, and never had the money to spare to just go buy a book on clans that before he didn’t think he would ever have to worry about. However, when she just gave him a thank you before continuing on he realized that she had no interest in it was strictly business. O well, no problem there was plenty of girls back in the village to chase for a good time.

When she got up to get the hemlock asking if he was native her Travin couldn’t help but look at her backside as she walked away from him before catching, and when she said that she would arrest him if he was a missing-nin. Travin was quick to pull his cloak back revealing his shirtless abs under his cloak to show his belt clasp was the village symbol. “I’m no missing-nin for sure from what I’ve been told you would have to belong to a village at some point for that, and this is the first village I have ever joined so theirs that. I guess my father would tech be a missing-nin before joining here. He once was a jounin in the hidden mist village before the war. That’s where my family comes from anyway for the rest of the clan I can’t say I’ve never met any others.”

Travin would watch as Hinata put on gloves to pick the Hemlock. Dam that’s what the gloves were for he thought to himself. “Hay so you said this Hemlock will knock you out about how long does it take for that to happen”?

Once she told him that it wouldn’t hurt him or knock him out Travin went right to work quickly picking the Hemlock. He did like she asked and kept his distance only chancing glances when she wasn’t looking. After all, he couldn’t just let a good view go by and not look at it. While they worked he mostly kept quiet trying to remember what his father told him about uchiha’s and their crazy eyes. He wanted to ask her but he didn’t want to look stupid either. He figured that she was properly trained as a shinobi or something while he was just given on the job training. Granted it worked he was strong and he had done what his father said would have been A and S rank missions before if they were in a village when they took it. He also said that they got paid to do them about what the village got paid for a C rank mission. Travin was about to learn what B rank mission paid and would finally get an understanding of what his father was talking about all those times.

Once they both had a bag full they both said their goodbyes. She took to the road and Travin took to the woods. He remembered how they got here and it was pretty easy to get back and he knew from all the time he had spent out in the world that it would probably cut the time in half to get back. Once back he would turn in his mission and get paid. Only stopping by the food cart outside his room for dinner pork ramen before asking his dad about the Uchiha clan.
