Calling All Shinobi!

The sun was out and the birds were chirping. A good bit of the morning was already gone and it was nearing noon. Ryu woke up with a slight hangover and a piece of paper resting on his glasses. He picked up the specs from his nightstand and read his note. It was the reminder that he had written himself the night before. Lord Yasaki had given him orders to assemble all of the available shinobi outside his office. His memory of the prior night was still a little hazy, but he knew this was a task he couldn't put off. He got dressed for the day in his usual white getup and made his way towards the Unseen Library. There would be administrative workers there that could get the message out to all active personnel.

Ryu's head was pounding and his stomach was a little uneasy but he made sure to let every ninja he saw along the way know about the meeting. Most of them asked him what the whole thing was about, but Ryuken didnt even know himself. He just knew he had to gather them all up. On his walk he bumped into a group of three young genin. They had to he around 13 years old, still fresh from the academy and probably raring to burn off some energy. One of the boys was practically bouncing on his heals as they talked. Ryu saw it as an opportunity and decided to ask the kids for a favor.

He relayed the message about meeting at the university and told them to scatter and spread the word to as many people as they could. Having people actually canvas the area would surely be an effective way of getting word out to the people. The three took off with such speed and enthusiasm that it made Ryuken miss his days as a kid. All that pent up energy with seemingly limitless reserves.

Once at the university he talked to a couple of the secretaries and they agreed to spread the message as quickly as they could. Messenger ninjas were dispatched and division leaders were told to inform their squads. With his part of the job taken care of Ryuken walked over to the meeting area and took a seat. He would wait for everyone to show up and sketch in his notebook to kill the time. Progressively village shinobi would begin to show up and mill around in the area. There were several conversations being had at once, but the common theme was what Yasaki was going to announce. Everyone was in the dark and the curiosity in the air was palpable. The din of talking made it hard for the pink haired puppeteer to focus on his sketches and so he decided to close the book and mingle with his comrades. It would be good to talk to some people again after a long time.

He couldnt tell how many people were missing still but the hall was getting pretty crowded. Most of the village forces had already arrived.

Akaboshi had found himself close to the leader chambers of the Hogokage which was located at the center of the City Blessed by the Stars, the Unseen University. How he ended up there he wasn't exactly sure himself, it all happened so fast. Just a moment ago the red haired Uzumaki was busy doing his rounds and patrolling the streets of Hoshigakure when he was suddenly stopped by some little kid claiming his presence was required at the university. It sounded too serious to be just a child's prank so he decided to check it out. Given that all the village shinobi had gathered would prove that the young kid was indeed telling the truth and something was about to take place, but the redhead had no clue what it could be.

Looking around he noticed a lot of unfamiliar faces, people he had never seen before in his life. Akaboshi reached in his pockets, searching for one of his cigarettes. Placing the smoke between his lips as he was holding a lighter in his other hand. Lighting up the cigarette while his eyes were scouting the area, the Uzumaki always on the lookout for any potential threats or danger, basically anything out of the ordinary. It was rather peculiar that most of their shinobi forces had been called out to gather at the university of all places. The Chuunin started to wonder about the reason for them being assembled so suddenly. The only thing crossing his mind would be an announcement from the Hogokage, but even then he still had no clue what it could be about. 

Plans of going to war? But with who? As far as he could remember there weren't really any villages they were on bad terms with so at this point he could only guess. Waiting til someone would arrive and explain just what exactly was going on the red haired Uzumaki would be leaning against a wall while keeping an eye on everyone.

The young hyuuga was walking back home by the road side when a young teen, almost his age, came to inform him about the gathering at the unseen university. The moment the kid relayed the information, he would speed off to another direction. “What in the world is going on here?” the hyuuga said to himself. He was curious about the gathering  and would see for himself.



The hyuuga would head to the unseen university. His mind already painted a picture of a large crowd waiting to be addressed. He wasn't the only one heading that direction, so many faces he had never seen before, young and old, some walking, some running. Sakuragi would wonder what could caused this at the  unseen university. What info could be so important that nearly all the villagers were heading to the unseen university. He would see and hear for himself.


Just as expected, the people here were countless. Sakuragi who was not too tall could hardly see much distance ahead of him.  He stood admist the crowd to witness all that would happen.

Kiryu glanced around at the mass of shinobi that surrounded him. He had never seen this many in one place before, even at the academy. Still, when the Hogokage summoned the entirety of the available shinobi force, it was definitely something that nobody would want to be absent for.

The day had started off like any other. Kiryu had just finished showering after his morning exercise routine and had been planning on going to see if there were any tasks that needed doing at the Temple since he hadn't received any new missions. As he passed by the Unseen University, he had been practically run over by another Genin even more junior than himself. The boy had told him about the summons, so he had obviously come immediately.

Dark feelings rose up inside of him as he remembered the last experience he'd had with the leader of the village. He had placed him under a genjutsu and revealed himself to be an Uchiha. The cursed blood of that clan was an affront to the gods, yet one of their member stood as their chosen representative in Hoshigakure. He had long since decided to give the Hogokage a chance, but he was more alert than ever during any sort of dealings with him. Still, he had to admit he was extremely curious to see what could possibly be the cause of gathering all of the shinobi of the village together like this.

The Pendragon of the black house awoke, early. She was ready for a long day of hard training, as she was looking to get strong enough for missions. She needed cash, and soon. There was going to be a Chunnin Exams in Hoshigakure in about 5 and a half weeks and she was woefully unprepared. The Black Mistress walked through the Pendragon compound, eventually making her way to the training grounds. She wore a white dress shirt that was tucked into a blue, knee-length skirt. Her shoulder length blond hair was kept up with a blue ribbon. She was wearing black stockings that went above the length of her skirt, showing no skin on her legs. The blonde wore a pair of brown boots to tie off the ensemble. As she walked through the grounds, she was surrounded by many, both male and female, young and old, training. The training ground was half indoors, half outdoors. Her boots made almost no noise against the flagstones as she walked through the indoor half, making her way to the outdoor section. The dew in the grass shone in the morning light as it peeled over the walls. Kahoru has been left alone, due to the recent death of her parents. Well, not recent to her, but recent to the other members of her clan. She walked down to the target range, usually used for thrown projectiles. Instead, she opened a small shed, and reaching past the throwing weapons, got a bow out. She had already tried a longbow, but her tests had proven that shortbows and crossbows were faster. Kahoru, hesitating, put the shortbow back in and pulled out a practice crossbow…

...Kahoru was walking around Hoshigakure. She was looking for a good weapons shop. However, as she was walking, she noticed an influx of people outside the Unseen University, as it was called. The crowd was enormous, and it seemed that almost all of Hoshigakure’s shinobi force was here. Kahoru got there somewhat last minute, so she was near the back of the crowd. Her short frame stopped her from seeing anything, and she cursed herself for that. The Pendragon knew that this was something big. The Chunnin Exams were unlikely to create this big of a turnout for their announcement.

A large meeting? Now? But that requires me to get ready. Tsubaki thought as the messenger shinobi left her front door. She was only wearing a tank top and a pair of pyjama pants when he answered the door. It didn't seem to mind the messenger, meaning she was probably not the only one. She sighed knowing that the entire shinobi force was expected to be in attendance and that she was in high expectation as a chunin. 

After dressing in a chunin flak and some black combat pants, Tsubaki would head towards the Unseen Unversity, the place the Kage calls his office. She wondered what the meeting was about since she hadn't heard of distress from any other villages. Maybe it was about the Rouge ninjas that were from Hoshi. Ever since Valen took a chunk of the shinobi, they've struggled to recover in manpower. Or perhaps it's something personal within Hoshi like the Kage stepping down or a civil emergency. 

She arrived and noticed that a large crowd of shinobi that had formed around the university. Because she had taken awhile getting ready, Tsubaki would have to stand in the back of the crowd. She had to look in between shoulders to make sure that she had a good view of the front area. Looking through the crowd, she was able to spot a couple of people that she recognized. Two of her genin students, Sakuragi and Kiryu.

The Hyuuga would answer the door to his family home, take a letter from the hand of the messenger, bow in thanks and then open it up. It was a summons to the office of the village kage. He didn't anticipate being called to meet with such a figure, his actions not warranting such an honor. No, this had to be something else. Perhaps there was an announcement that he wanted to make in person. This though was solidified by the lack of his name on the summons. No, this was directed at more than just himself. Hopefully it was good news.
 
The young Hyuuga would don a white robe with green trim, his helm sitting on his night stand. He considered grabbing it, but such wasn’t likely needed. He wasn’t expecting to go into combat for this meeting, so he wouldn’t bring his full armaments. He would slip on some sandals and make his way with his family towards the Kage’s office. While they weren’t numerous, there were enough Hyuuga in this group to surprise someone not expecting this many Hyuuga outside of Konoha. He knew that his family were not the only Hyuuga in Hoshi, but he wasn’t sure how large the other existing families had been. His family held just shy of a dozen members, though a few were elders that stayed home. They had retired from the young man’s game of soldier work. There were six Hyuuga, Yoshimi the second youngest. The older, more experienced and capable members of his house stood at the forefront. Yoshimi only had his younger cousin behind him.
 
Once they had gotten to the area, it would seem as though there had already amassed a sizable number of forces. It caught Yoshimi off guard, as he it felt like the forces of Hoshi were far less than this. Perhaps constant work keeps there from being too many shinobi in the village for too long. He would then scan the area, looking for his scarlet haired comrade. Once spotted, the Hyuuga would request permission from his family and once given he would approach Akaboshi.
 
“Good to see you, Akaboshi. Do you have any idea what this meeting is about?” He would ask after greeting the man. He would then scan the area for any other people who may join them.

Kuniko received the message of the meeting being held at the University. He quickly made his way there and mingled with the crowd. Though there were many shinobi present that he recognized, the young Hyuuga would wait a while longer to see who else would arrive.

Soma Shin saw a young shinobi with a message. He heard about a meeting and headed towards the place where the meeting would be held. He is still new to the shinobi life style and seeing all these shinobi in one place made him feel uneasy. He wondered what kind of announcement could be made that required everyone to hear it. So he stood in the back hood up and started to wonder what could be wrong.
