Raikou Yasei

Bandits have all the fun

It was another gig for Raikou, something he always had done but this time he had to tag along with others. In his opinion, this wasn't a smart idea. Someone always wanted more. They all would gladly stab each other in the back to try and get more out of all this. One job-- one target, and a dozen morons who wanted a piece of the action.

The rumor was some rich and inflated noble was traveling close to the border of Suna, and was likely going to be a good score. ONe option was to kill the other people trying to get a piece of the job-- but some of them were Suna mercs and also from a new group he had become affiliated with. That was never a smart plan. Further, he could only hope that they were professional enough to not screw things up for the rest of them.

That being said, he would try to do things on his own and get a jump on the rest. It wasn't just a job, but a race to try and catch that noble and his group before they got out of range of the country.

The camp of bandits had been preparing as Raikou was among a group of six-- any bigger would have caused more issues. Even then, Raikou wasn't thrilled to work with them as they were not with him. It was nearing daybreak and the group would be keeping an eye for any party that would cross the range. The camp was located among a few cliffs that overlooked the desert to the far east-- near the border with the land of fire. From there, they could make camp, while hidden among the crevices and parts of the caves in the cliffs, but also had a good view of the surrounding area. A perfect spot to spy the targets wherever they were in the desert. With hope, they didn't have to deal with any leaf shinobi that might be a potential presence to escort the noble. .

For Raikou though, he loved the idea if it would challenge him. He didn't even care too much about money, besides paying for food, the hotel... and a few special services he enjoyed, but a good fight was always something he appreciated to spice up his life. Still, he kept more attention to others in his 'band of thieves' . A few kept to themselves, but others seemed to chat with one another, trying to be friendly and make good repour with one another.

While the sun was not yet to beat upon their skin, Raikou had developed quite a tan from the desert sun-- but no burns. Partly due to his shirtless nature, but he liked the shade he developed. It fit in more with the sand to help him blend it. It reminded him, he should try to learn a camoflague jutsu to make his stealth tactics more efficient. Beyond that, he strikes first before an enemy can react fast enough.

For the time being, Raikou tolerated the others with him. Or rather to say, he didn't kill any of t hem out of his 'bloodlust'. Hopefully, he would get to kill actual targets before his nature energy forced him to do something extreme.

Bandits have all the fun (A-Rank Mission) Empty Re: Bandits have all the fun (A-Rank Mission)

Guren Stats

Despite having recently enlisted in the Sunagakure shinobi force, Guren oftentimes found himself outside of the village. This primarily occurred when he would be performing missions that required him to operate outside of the village’s boundaries. Today was one of those days, as Guren had exited the village upon approval from Han the gate guard. His goal today was to secure some funds at the expense of a nobleman who traveled through the boundaries of Wind Country. All Guren would have to do is scout out and track down an armed caravan. Luckily for him, he received a tip that the caravan would be making camp near the border between the Lands of Wind and Fire. Thus Guren had headed there with haste. Although this mission appeared to be pretty straightforward and simple enough, Guren had been informed that there would be an additional party joining him however their identities remained undisclosed; likely because there were no records of them. All Guren knew was there one potential “ally” who would be a rather…large man.

And so Guren had set out at an opportunistic time to head to the borders of the two countries, in the direction where his intel guessed where the camp would be set up. Upon arrival Guren noted a small camp perched among some cliffs with a strategic vantage point of the underlying desert. It seemed as if his information was a reliable source. The camp was strange however, quite large to be frank. There was a group of what appeared to be bandits and mercenaries, likely all with similar intel to what Guren had. Seemed like there would be multiple people looking to take their own cut of the pie. This was a bit discouraging to Guren, as that would mean each slice would be smaller. Thus he had to quickly formulate a plan on how to thread out some of the numbers here.

As he got closer, he made out a rather large figure standing alone and away from the rest of the bandits. Based on his stature, Guren had a feeling that this might be one of the guys he was notably notified of. Approaching him, Guren called out when he was about a meter away. “Hey. I presume you’re also here to stake out the caravan of the rich nobleman, hmm?” Guren inquired rhetorically. Based on the fact that he was standing alone, Guren figured that this man might have been like him: looking to maximize his own profits.

“Listen, I have a proposition.” Guren began, waiting to see if the man would acknowledge him. Should he not, then that was fine. He would proceed on his own. Yet an extra hand would be welcomed.

Bandits have all the fun (A-Rank Mission) Empty Re: Bandits have all the fun (A-Rank Mission)

Sat Aug 15, 2020 10:57 pm
Raikou kept his mind clear and focused on the scenery to spot any indication where the target was. That and taking in what peace of the scenery he could despite the rabble of his co-workers. However, that soon came to an end when one approached to talk to him. He stood a meter away with black wavey hair and dark skin. He glared at the stranger as he was so friendly. He didn't mind the friendly kind, but he already tolerated more than enough with the group he was with. One more was one more too many for this. When he asked about if he was there to also attack the rich noblemen around-- he didn't vocalize any kind of direct response.

He didn't know the man. Raikou wasn't sure if he even trusted worthy. The people he already was with were questionable at best. He had no doubt any one of them would stab him in the back if their desire for a bigger share was strong enough. He just gave a silent glare in response. Not an unwelcomed one, but one that showed he wasn't easily fooled by just a simple 'hello'. The only time he probably would be easily wooed-- was likely when it involved a woman looking for a fun evening.

It was then that the man mentioned something. A proposition. Raikou raised a brow at this as he flexed a hand, a bit of electricity going off his muscles at the mention of it. Not out of threat-- but interest. He didn't know what he had planned or what it would mean, but he was interested to hear what he had to say. He tried to find something though. Was he a rogue ninja like him, or a part of Suna or another nation? That would of been reason for him to have doubts about what was about to happen.

"Let's say I am interested. " he stated flatly, still glaring at him with distrust. "What exactly do you have in mind?

ONe thing he was not sure about was his affiliation with the other nation. He didn't trust other country ninjas easily, as many had tried to catch him for a time merely because of his 'gifts'. It wasn't simply because he was a rogue, or a monster underneath-- or his numerous crimes involving young women. In the end, he had an idea what this offer of his might be. The issue was the people he already made a deal with. He recently came to be involved with a group of rogues inside Suna, and some of them were in his group. If this stranger wanted to ex out the competition by killing them, that would be a problem.

He would do it. He probably might enjoy it... but the fact was he was still affiliated with that small crime group. His pride and honor wouldn't allow him to easily off his own team, no matter what benefit he had. It would take more than one stranger and temptation to get a bigger pay. Still, he would listen and hear what he had to say.

Bandits have all the fun (A-Rank Mission) Empty Re: Bandits have all the fun (A-Rank Mission)

Sun Aug 16, 2020 12:27 pm
Guren received no acknowledgement from the larger man until he had offered him with an intriguing deal. Although none of the details had been disclosed yet, surely the mention of a proposal was enticing enough to gain his attention. And it was. The man would look over towards Guren and inquire further on what he was hinting at. Thus a smile crept upon Guren’s face. Although he wasn’t a master negotiator, he at least was well versed in the arts of deception. He would not be making any deals with the group of bandits, but would instead seek to eliminate them from the equation.

“It appears as if there’s too many mouths to feed and not enough food on the table, and I intend on maximizing my take in this mission…if you catch my drift.” Guren would begin while tilting his head to his right and nodding back slightly. This was a motion to “point” at the bandits behind him at to his right, subtly indicating that he too felt as if the excess number of people in the camp would lead to minimal shares of profit. “All I am proposing is a…distraction, if you will. And the way I see it there are three options for you to choose from. One, witness what my plan entails exactly…although I doubt there is much merit in seeing the events about to unfold. Two, start off towards the incoming caravan to halt them,” he paused as he pointed off in the distance towards the barely visible caravan. From their vantage point it would be easy to see the entourage which at this point was a little less than a kilometer away. Based on their speed, they would be reaching Guren and Raikou’s vicinity a bit after the time that Guren would be finishing up his plan with the bandits. Thus he would be cutting it close by taking the detour to distract the bandits, as this would also factor in the time it would take to descend from their vantage point. Having Raikou intercept the caravan would ensure that both Guren made it in time and there were less stakeholders in the mission. As pausing, he continued, “…and I will join you shortly to assist in eliminating any opposition we might face when robbing the caravan. Or three, try to stop me. Although I don’t really think that would be beneficial for either of us. By the time either of us would be finished with each other, the caravan would be long gone…Personally, I would suggest option two.”

His offer was well constructed and eloquently delivered. Yet still concise enough to maintain Raikou’s attention. If Raikou responded with the intention of pursuing option one, Guren would nod his head and say “Close your eyes for this my friend.” If Raikou indicated that he would be privy to option two, then Guren would extend his hand for a fist bump to the man in an effort of “sealing their deal”. Should option three be sought after, then Guren would remain ready for Raikou to attack him.

(Rest of the post being written for option two, but if Raikou chooses otherwise then I will write my next post in response to that action/decision).

When Raikou would agree to Guren’s offer and specifically path number two, Guren would take towards the bandit camp. While walking over, he would fold his hands across his chest and tuck them into the wells of his armpits and underneath the opposite arm, making them unable to be seen. Within the discretion of his left arm, his right hand would proceed with formulating the boar -> snake -> horse -> tiger hand seals. However he would not expel chakra to release the technique until a strategic moment. Once within the circle of bandits he would call out a loud, “Hey,” to which received the attention of the entire bandit camp who all sat around him within a 10 meter radius. As they all looked at Guren in confusion and disrespect, Guren would release the chakra stored within his body that was channeled by the hand seals and a massive wave of light would expel from him as the source. It was his Lightning Illusion Flash Pillar technique, which instantly triggered all of the bandits to be paralyzed by the genjutsu and illusions which came with it. This should keep them distracted for long enough for Guren to catch up with Raikou and for the two to siege the caravan.

Now that the bandits had been dealt with, at maximum speed Guren turned around and darted towards the edge of the cliff which faced the incoming escort. He would cautiously descend from the cliff of the mountain they stood upon, leaping from its summit to its shoulder to the ledge and finally to the ridge. Now it was easy enough for him to slide down the ridge and safely land on ground level where Raikou had been residing. Depending on the location that Raikou would now be, whether in front of or to the side of the incoming posse, Guren would sprint over to join him (about a meter away from Raikou). Based on Guren’s good timing, there was still quite a bit of distance (50 meters) between the duo and their target thus the two could finalize the next steps of their plan.

“The bandits have been dealt with, they are all too distracted to interfere with the rest of our business. Now then, I presume someone of your…stature…would be well equipped to derail this convoy’s pathway. Care to take the lead?” Guren offered. He was curious to see what the man’s approach would be to halting their targets, whether by outright brute force or something more discrete. Whatever the case would be, Guren would adjust his actions to complement those of his unidentified and temporary ally.

Bandits have all the fun (A-Rank Mission) Empty Re: Bandits have all the fun (A-Rank Mission)

Mon Aug 17, 2020 1:17 pm
Raikou was quiet as he listened to the rather talkative shinobi. He couldn't tell if he liked the sound of his own voice, that was for sure. SOmeone who thought he was one of the most clever of people and didn't mind boasting it. Though Raikou could be guilty of the same when it came to impressing women he was around. A growl of frustration came from him as he listened to the options. At first, he thought the guy was trying to propose killing the men behind him with his euphemisms. That he got a bit defensive over. "Let me make one thing clear", he said, "I have no issue love lost if they are removed... but you better not be thinking of killing with them. I am affiliated with them and to just kill them would be something against my honor. Do you understand? " he said. While he didn't know them, as long as he was en employment with them, he wasn't about to backstab them that way just to get a leg up on them. His first job dealing with them involved killing a back-stabber, so he had no intention to be a hypocrite and do the same.

After more wordy talks, he liked option two the best. He glanced back at the men he served with but realized they were just as guilty to get a leg up on one another. He raised a fist and bumped it into the stranger's to seal the deal. "Remember, whatever you do, don't kill them. This will end bad for you if decide to double-cross me." he said in warning. He hoped to trust the people he worked with, but it was never that simple.

With that, he took off to do the plan as suggested and hopped off the cliffside to get closer to the target. He reached the end of the cliff and down to a nearby dune that overlooked the hillside where the Duke would becoming. After a few minutes, his new associate Guren ahd emerged to join them. "I hope you didn't do anything too cruel to them with your genjutsu tricks?" he asked, presuming the light flash was in fact such a thing. Further, he didn't like the use of Genjutsu as a whole.

Once he was sure he heard his companion's result of the Genjutsu, he would look to the horizon where the duke would arrive from. "Yes, I can do something about that incoming target. Once I cripple the carrage however, guards will no doubt act in accordance. " he said, his wording rather sharp for something of his appearance. It appeared Raikou was more than just muscle. He had read and had enough of a mind to read a situation carefully. Any ambush was just as important to think out plans than to just execute. Charging in like a blind monster , despite his 'fits' , would only get him killed faster.

If the new guy here had any ideas, he would welcome them and possibly see if he had anything to contribute.

Bandits have all the fun (A-Rank Mission) Empty Re: Bandits have all the fun (A-Rank Mission)

Mon Aug 17, 2020 6:28 pm
When Raikou would issue his two empty threats, Guren would look at him as if he was crazy. Speaking nonsense. Gibberish even. His eyes squinted and his neck bent to his right side. He raised his right hand, specifically his index finger and scratched the side of his head. Surely he wasn’t issuing a threat to Guren, there must have been someone else he was talking to. Guren straightened his stance and looked sternly upon the man with a friend. “I would suggest you take this time to think about issuing threats, and go cool off before you do something you will regret. Clearly I said I would be distracting them, not murdering.…” Guren said sharply with nothing but bitter cold in his voice. If the conversation ended there and two temporarily parted ways, Guren would seek to orchestrate his plan as intended however he would remain looking in Raikou’s direction to make sure that he had begun to descend from the mountain. When he would and both men out of each other’s sight, it would be safe to proceed. This was to be sure that he was not caught within the field of the genjutsu. If the aforementioned was true, then Guren would continue as previously described. However after non-violently placing the bandits under the illusion, his plan took a slight detour. Before departing the bandit camp, Guren used his spiked retractable ring on his left hand to expand and pierce his own hand just enough to bleed consistently. As the blood fell from his palm, he would rapidly fire through four handseals and in an instant a blood clone of identical appearance to Guren would spawn adjacent to him. Upon its creation, it immediately understood what its purpose was. Based on the closing remarks from Raikou, it was conscious of the fact that the larger man might be hostile. Thus it seemed unreasonable for Guren to send his true body to meet with the man that just threatened him. Doing this would be a cautious approach, and Guren was a cautious man…especially when in the presence of an unreasonably hostile person. All of these actions were performed at max speed, thus ensuring that the clone would arrive at Raikou’s location at the same pace that Guren would have.

Subsequently, Guren’s blood clone took the actions described in the last post. He descended from the cliff, leaped downward from its summit, and safely slide down the ridge onto ground level. Finally he approached Raikou, who immediately questioned him with an assumption that Guren utilized genjutsu to subdue the men. “Genjutsu? That is not in my repertoire. However ninjutsu is. I used a technique to instill a minor shock to the men, placing them in a temporary state of paralysis. Should wear off by the time we’re finished here. In any case, the bandits have been dealt with…” Guren’s clone responded before continuing with his formerly mentioned briefing. His tone was compelling and sincere while his face was as stern and straight as Raikou would have last seen it prior to the men parting ways. As Guren’s clone offered Raikou the pleasure of initiating the mission, it seemed as if the man was taking a tactical approach. The clone would nod in agreement, seemingly brushing off any ill feelings either man had for each other at the time as the common goal of completing the mission was rapidly approaching them.

The clone, attempting to create its own plan on how to deal with the caravan, would scope out the area. To its pleasure, the entire area was clearly visible with no signs of shelter at all. This was true within the open field surrounding the men, as well as alongside the mountain side. As the clone scanned the base of the mountainside it inconspicuously made a brief glance at the top of the mountain. It was confirmed; from this point of view it was impossible to see its host body. All in all, the potential of an ambush was zero. In the immediate scenery itself, there was a small body of water off and to the right (east) of the incoming caravan (approaching from north). It lied at the base of the mountain (east), as if runoff from infrequent rain water would trickle down the mountain and accumulate at its foot. And fortunately it had been raining for the days prior to today. This would be to the clone’s advantage should the need for water jutsu be required to take out the caravan; as that immediate water source was close enough (20 meters from the base of the mountain) and the ground underneath the men was pleasantly saturated with water. To the left (west) of the incoming convoy was nothing but dry open area. The same was true for behind the men (south) and behind the caravan (north). As a plan was formulated within its head, it held back on taking any action as the commencement of any plan would be up to Raikou. Thus the clone was essentially on standby to assist Raikou however he might need it.

Meanwhile the real body of Guren had been strategically perched atop of the mountain, but in a near enough distance (50 meters east, and 150 meters above his clone and Raikou) where he could clearly see the duo as well as the incoming caravan. However because of his vantage point, it would be impossible for either the clone or Raikou to see Guren from their location. This was primarily due to the difference in elevation, however also because of the fact that Guren squatted cautiously behind natural covering. Guren’s intentions were clear: don’t get spotted by anyone, Raikou and the caravan included. He was focused on performing overhead recon of the caravan and his clone. Should the caravan approach and it appear as if the clone and Raikou had their work cut out from them, Guren would plan to descend himself and swiftly handle the mission. However, the same would be true in the possible scenario of Raikou becoming aggressive and attempting to kill the clone. Nevertheless Guren was not worried. There would be no reason for Raikou to detect that the clone was a clone. Thus the plan should proceed swimmingly, the two would succeed in sacking the entourage, and they would be on their separate ways. In the meantime Guren’s gaze would predominantly shift between the incoming convoy and his clone’s position. He patiently waited for an action from Raikou so that they could get this mission over with and he could go home. While he waited, he would use a quarter of a meter of bandages to blot the cut on his hand and temporarily stop it from bleeding.

Bandits have all the fun (A-Rank Mission) Empty Re: Bandits have all the fun (A-Rank Mission)

Tue Aug 18, 2020 11:12 pm
The icy look from his 'new friend' made Raikou a bit more mindful of his words. It was rare for him to be respectful of anyone. He still didn't know this person or his affiliations in t he end. He was too defensive and that urged the man to get upset with him. Raikou paused as he glanced away, not really seeming to care but more in a moment to really think out what he wanted to do. In the end, he was a man who rarely had true interactions with people. A wild child who grew up and survived on his own-- an animal who became a shinobi and who had long given in to his impulses as a Jugo.

A grunt of reluctance escaped him but he spoke. "Fine. Sorry, but I am not trusting of people who come off buddy-buddy with me out of the blue. I'm sure a shinobi like you, wouldn't put too much trust in strangers, do you?" he asked. It was only natural to be on guard as back-stabbing shionbi was not uncommon. But he might of judged this guy too soon. "You can at least give me a name. I'm Raikou. And you?" he asked.

Though the plan was to engage the caravan and the stranger decided to do just that. He used a water jutsu among the caravan. This made him grin. It was either the man had a grasp of Raikou's nature, or he just figure the water would be enough. "I see. Well I thank you for the set up. This will be quick!" He said with a growl of glee.

With a sudden burst of speed, Raikou was off. He took off like a bolt of lightning in the air as he appeared overhead. As he descended, he quickly made hand signs, to gather his chakra-- the jutsu he had practiced now. Even this didn't require any of his gates to perform. With the end of it-- his right arm sparked with lightning, and the air filled with the sound of chirping birds.

The first group of guards soon saw him descend. "Chidori!!" he roared, and struck-- smashing the first guard with his electrified jab-- and the water below. While off the ground, the current traveled, and struck the surrounding guards with the resulting electric shock. They were stunned by it and some even passed out from the resulting impact.

The shock lasted for a few seconds, but it was enough to remove about 4 of them including the one he killed. Now only 3 more guards remained, and he would see if his new friend would do them in or if he had to. Either way, Raikou was feeling alive now, as the same electricity rushed through his veins.

In the carivan, the duke in question was still there, but was ordered to stay put. That was fine-- as Raikou could easily track him down, whether he hid or ran. He did love a challenge in the end. Whether he lived before or after handing over the money was up to him.

Bandits have all the fun (A-Rank Mission) Empty Re: Bandits have all the fun (A-Rank Mission)

Thu Aug 20, 2020 6:57 pm
When the two were still on the mountaintop Guren would utter a single letter when the now calmed man had inquired about his name, “G”. Guren oftentimes only introduced himself by his alias when around people he didn’t know. Judging by the poor foot that the two had got off on, there was no need in her providing his full name. Should the tone of the mission change, he would consider it.

Now that Raikou and Guren’s clone were ground level and planning on handling the caravan, Raikou would instantly hurl himself upwards and towards the incoming caravan. While airborne he formed handseals that were familiar to Guren, those of the chidori. Subsequently an orb of lightning would envelope the now descending Raikou who was targeting a single member on top of the traveling vehicle. The commotion and impact of Raikou inflicting pure havoc had caused the convoy to come to a complete halt. Now it was time for the clone to join the party.

Following behind Raikou’s trail, the clone would call upon his own handseals and take a deep breath. Once 8 meters away from the stationary caravan, he would exhale rapidly. By doing so a massive, highly pressurized stream of water would propel from his mouth straight at the caravan. Resultantly the guards that had survived Raikou’s attack would be swept from their feet and fall down. The water jet which the clone shot from its mouth would be powerful enough to also disable the wheels of the caravan, meaning the guards and noblemen could not escape. Simultaneously the cabin of the caravan would have its entire top cut and remove, thus exposing the Duke’s position.

As the guards were recovering and trying to stand back up, Guren’s clone would beat them to the punch. He would rapidly fire off numerous handseals, and the water which had just been created via his Water Trumpet jutsu would rise up from the ground in needle like forms. To be exact, there were 50 water needles which would arise from the pool of water. 40 of them would surround the enemy guards and one by one they would drive themselves into the throats of the opposition. Although it did not take all 40 needles to kill the few guards left, Guren did not intend to waste them. The only survivors of the massacre? Raikou and the precious noblemen which the guards were hired to protect. With the final 10 water needles now swarming and surrounding the exposed and helpless nobleman, the clone would approach him in a calm demeanor.

“Listen….we didn’t want to have to do that. But word on the street is you are in possession of some very, very valuable amounts of Ryo. Is that so?” the clone would inquire.

With haste and cowardice the nobleman would rapidly nod his head and shuffle around his open cabin before retrieving a lockbox, which had been busted open from all the commotion.

“Oh is that for us?” the clone asked rhetorically. Immediately the Duke would nod his head “yes”. He refrained from speaking, out of sheer fear. The clone would offer a friendly smile and lift his hand up, patting the man on the head. “Splendid,” the clone giddily responded while grabbing a hold of the lockbox and turning to walk away and towards Raikou.

“Here’s what all of those men were guarding so preciously. As we negotiated, this is for us to split. I think it’s only fair if the ryo is distributed equally among us.” The clone offered while retrieving exactly half of the ryo inside and placing it into a secure pocket within its coat. The clone would then hold its arm out towards Raikou and extend the lockbox towards him, suggesting for him to take the ryo and the box it lied within. When this was completed, the clone would flash a look back at the Duke to make sure he was still staying put. He was, as the numerous water needles still surrounded him. The clone had enough sense to realize that should the Duke be left alive, there could be bounties placed on both Guren and Raikou’s head. And Guren couldn’t allow that since he had just joined Sunagakure. Thus with the flick of the clone’s wrist, the remaining needles would drive and impale themselves into the Duke’s body. He never stood a chance.

The clone sighed before looking back over at Raikou and offering a silent nod. Their work here was complete, and all that was left was to part ways. “See? I’m a man of my word” the clone let out while looking over at Raikou. He awaited any type of closing remarks from Raikou now that their work had been finished. By this time the real Guren had already descended from the mountaintop around the same time that the caravan was destroyed. He could be seen off in the distance approaching Raikou and his clone's current location. Once close enough to the two, Guren would take the ryo from his clone and secure it within his own wallet. Following this he would look over at Raikou and let out a "Thanks for your help" while extending another closed fist bump towards the man.

Bandits have all the fun (A-Rank Mission) Empty Re: Bandits have all the fun (A-Rank Mission)

With Raikou's attack and effort-- it made the right opening for the certain blood ninja who came up from behind Raikou to deliver the rest of the attack. The enemies were quickly dispatched and Raikou had to admit, this person was indeed a deadly and capable shinobi. What guards remained from the attack-- he used water release to create several needs of the water from below and impaled the rest. Raikou had to admit, for a water user he was very impressive. This shinobi was worth learning more about.

As the immediate threat was done, the man, Guren, was the first to into the tent to confront the cowardly duke. For the time being Raikou let him do the talking as he was more the kind to 'negotiate' oppose to Raikou just tearing the man's possession away-- and breaking his limbs in the process for the fun of it. However, Guren's method was a lot more direct and simple. Raikou had to admit, he could learn a lot from this guy in some way. For now, he crossed his arms against his chest and waited quietly as he 'negotiated' with the duke. In the end he got the money without any hesitation or resistance. He handed the fox to Raikou, which he took all while the water needles remained suspended around him.

Raikou had wondered if he was going to kill the duke-- but it was soon done swiftly and instantly, in a rather bloody show. A splatter of the blood reached Raikou, which he lightly regarded. At first, he doubted the shinobi would do it-- but now he was starting to like the guy. "I like your style, " he said with mild interest to Guren's finishing blow as he held the lockbox. After a bit-- a second Guren appeared. The first one seemed to have been a clone after they had divided the ryo evenly. "You know, in a position like this, your partner could of killed off the other to get the bigger cut. It just is the nature of things when it comes to rogue ninjas. They act more in greed or self-interest. Nothing to be ashamed of..." he said, as if hinting an upcoming betrayl. But it never came as he gave a cocky grin to the real Guren. "Lucky for you, I don't backstab my comrades. I hate hypocrites like that..."

That twisted humor was one thing, but soon he felt it-- that surge of bloodlust he had before. Not from Guren, but himself. His eyes widened and he took a step back, gripping his head with his left hand. Coins of ryo fell from his grasp as he felt the urge. The urge to kill, the urge to fight, the urge to tear up anything he could find. "Ugh... shit-- not now... Not to ... him..." he growled, his canines showing more as if he was slowly turning into a real animal.

If Guren knew the wanted posters-- he would identify Raikou now. The rumored rogue ninja who had plagued the central shinobi world. "The Beast". A bandit, thief, and killer. And just as a guilty womanizer for lesser crimes. But now, those animal urges were bubbling to the surface... threatening to break free if he couldn't get a handle on it. There were no more enemies. No more targets to take his rage on-- except Guren...
