Loliet is a quiet town
Mon Aug 17, 2020 10:51 pm
Jamie was sitting around in the inn in Loliet. She had some tan overalls on, and a loose fitting (perhaps too loose fitting) plaid shirt underneath. While long sleeved, the sleeves were rolled up to about midway down her upper arms. She was near-ish the bar, mainly because it was near the stairs back to her room.
You must not misinterpret her. It was a nice town, but it was not a friendly town. Nobody gave her the option to be friendly, so she never bothered to be friendly. If someone wanted to talk with her, they were more than welcome to approach her and talk, ask a question, whatever. Now that the town was out of general blacksmithing wishes, though... nobody ever approached her. It was unfortunate. She wished she could pierce the veil and get to know some of the people.
But if she tried to talk to anyone... well they did not ignore her. They were pleasant. But... they were pleasant because they should be, not because they wanted to be.
R was... friendly enough?
Not really. She still did not know his fucking name, and their relationship seemed to be entirely one of business. It would be nice to develop an actual friend, though...
Whenever she got back home, she would have friends. She had friends. Maybe, if she got lucky, she could find some of her other friends that got exiled. It would be difficult but...
The forging techniques of Skyscraper were unique. Word spreads.
